V110-15ISK Laptop (Lenovo) -Built-in Camera does not work

Q: V110-15ISK Laptop (Lenovo) -Built-in Camera does not work

I have done what is suggested on these pages:

Checked the devise driver
Checked settings
Downloaded driver for EasyCam from site for my laptop
Added an extra key to the register EnableFrameServerMode =0x0

Nothing works.

But starting Lenovo settings, it asked me to update it. Twice I've done that and it asks again to download updates.

What gives?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hello, i just wanna know if it is possible to upgrade the Lenovo v110-15isk cpu and gpu.

A:Lenovo V110-15isk CPU and GPU upgrade

In all modern laptops the CPU and GPU are soldered to the motherboard. It's called BGA socket. And to upgrade them you have to replace the whole motherboard with new CPU and GPU soldered to it.

I have (or had) a new, working lenovo laptop. Everyting was normal but after downloading updates from its official  red lenovo app that was loaded in the computer, it said it needed to restart, black cmd appeared, it counted down from 5 to 0 and then nothing but a working fan, orange led light that shows the computer is charging and caps lock light. I remember before the update i closed num lock's light but now i can't open it. So I can say keyboard also doesn't work. I read some solutions by holding the power button for some time. Non of them worked, it just powers on and powers off. There is no light in the screen. I am confused and sad. I have an assingment 2 weeks later and have a brick in my hands that can cool itself. I mean how can a company wreck its own computer by updates? Please tell me it can be repaired and warranty covers it.

Kindly help me in bringing my notebook to its normal working mode.  Thanks in advance!Fred

I updated my laptop BIOS yesterday, downloading the file from Lenovo's website. The update went well, and the laptop restarted correctly after it. Then I shut down the lapotop after using it. Today, when I switched it on, I had just the image with the write LENOVO word on it, and the circle below it running as usual. It is maybe one hour that there is this screen on. any tips?

I just purchased a Lenovo Ideapad V110-15ISK with the intention of replacing the 500 gb hdd with a 480 gb ssd.  I used the Aoemei cloning software but it says the ssd is too small?  I haven't installed anything on the 500 gb hdd, I'm just going with it out of the box, so I thought cloneing to something 20 gb smaller shouldn't be an issue.  I made the Lenovo partician drive that's 24 gb smaller, to about 3 gb, and it cloned fine, but when I installed it back into the laptop, on start up I get a windows 10 boot error 0xc0000225.  I went ahead and made a boot usb and it boots, but then it wants me to install window 10 anew? I don't know what to do.  I love the laptop, I just want it running off of an ssd, and it should be simple, but I spent most of my Sunday on this and the anxiety is getting to me. I posted this a few min ago but the thread was gone a few min later, if this is improper formatting, please let me know and I'll make the changes, otherwise I'm just trying to get some help here.

I have a Lenovo V110-15ISK where the power button does not appear to work, but if I remove and reinsert the power cable the laptop will open up the Novo Button Menu and I can boot to the hard drive from there - from that point the laptop will work fine.  Pressing the Novo button itself will not turn the laptop on. This is a work laptop so I have other laptops I can get spares from, so I've replaced the power button component, the cable, and the motherboard entirely, but the problem still persists.  Pressing the physical power button component while I had the case opened up also did not work, so I don't think it is anything to so with the plastic power button not connecting to the component. I've noticed that these Lenovos will not power on if they are sat on another Lenovo laptop (no idea why that is) so I'm wondering if whatever causes that effect could be affecting this one too, even though it is not stacked on another laptop. Any suggestions or advice gratefully received.

Hi guys, I enjoy using my v110-15isk laptop, but have some video card problems. I tried different ways but cant solve. I hope there are some suggestions here..  System: Lenovo v100-15ISK 80TL, Intel HD Graphics 520 (Onboard), AMD Radeon R5 M430Symthoms: Program crash when Autocad and Google Earth start. OS: I have dual boot on my laptop: Windows 10x64Bit V.1709 (Fall Creators Update) and Windows 7x64Bit.Both windows are updated but they have same problem. Additional info:1-When i set AMD disabled in BIOS, programs work normally but then system is in low video capability mode of course.2-When both video card are installed and i set Autocad on power saving mode in AMD settings then Autocad works but so slow. GoogleEarth does not start (in openGL mode) or start (in directX mode) without navigating world frame.3-I have tried different driver versions but no difference.4-I have tested hardware with Lenovo Diagnostics. It says others are OK but Intel HD520 test failed on "mathematichal operations test" (Program crashs and close). I think main problem is driver conflicts. But how will i solve it?

Hello.  Got this laptop this past Christmas, unfortunately has never worked very well.  Since I bought it, it's had this problem where every time I close the laptop and reopen it, the task bar disappears and the trackpad is unuseable.  I have to manually restart it to get it to work again.  I disabled sleep mode and still this problem would occur.  Then suddenly the trackpad stopped working altogether.  I have to plug in a USB mouse to use this laptop now.  I updated all drivers (including trackpad) and still I cannot use the trackpad.  Windows 10 is also fully updated.  I did not change anything in the control panel so am not sure why it suddenly stopped working.  I am attaching a picture I took showing the problem.  This is after opening up the laptop, you can see the taskbar has disappeared and screen is incorrect resolution.Honestly, this laptop is very disappointing and I'm frustrated that I got it.  I have a newborn at home so spending time on this is really annoying/difficult.  I hope very much that there is an easy fix here.  Please help.  ThanksKC

Mine does not.It has an EPSON202$$$$$ some number.  I do have my Epson Artisan 820 drivers loaded on the system.  Beneath Camera in device manager, I have "Easy Camera".  Should I have a device beneath "Imaging" in device manager, besides the Epson$$$$$device? Thank yuo,Chris

A:cant get my built in camera to work

If you can see an error for "imaging device" in Device Manager, try re-installing the driver from the laptop maker's website.

If there is no error in Device Manager, and your webcam is not listed there, that's usually a sign that the webcam itself is faulty so Windows cannot detect it - effectively it doesn't exist any more.

A easy remedy is to buy an external webcam (Logitech, Microsoft or Creative). don't buy a cheap brand with an obscure name as it will not last long.

Hello everyone, I have problem with built-in camera that is not working at all. I have a Lenovo G500 Laptop with operating system Windows 8 Pro (64-bit). My built-in camera is not working, Widows Photo app asks me to connect camera, and Skype reports that it hasn't found any camera device. When I go to Device Manager, there isn't such tab as "Imaging Devices" but there is a tab "Other Devices" where is one "Unknown Device". Device location is listed as "Port_#0004.Hub_#0005", device status reports: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)", and hardware ID says only "USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILURE". I am almost sure that this is my malfunctioning camera.Automatically find drivers for it doesn't work. I've also tried uninstalling driver for that unknown device and run scan for recent hardware changes resulting only in re-appearing of mentioned unknown device. I've tried to download driver from http://support.lenovo.com/sk/sk/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g500-no... , however when I try to install it, an error message appears: "no appropriate driver to be installed". I've tried DriverScanner app as well. But this found only unknown device, just as Device Manager. I am sorry to bother you, but I am really hopeless now. Am I really forced to buy external camera or is there a solution fir this issue?

I am having an issue again with the built in camera of the z710 laptop.  I never cared for it before and this is my second attempt to try to get it to work. I have searched google and various forum topics, however nothing seems to work. The camera does show up under 'Cameras' in the device manager, but only if I select to 'Show Hidden Devices'. I have tried to install the windows generic driver as I found via a suggestion but this did not resolve the issue.  I am looking for any help in getting this fixed, anyone? I could use a USB camera, but I already am using all my ports and honestly, I don't want another device plugged in where I have to worry about more choords to move around. When I click on Properties of the greyed out camera it says: Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer. I do think the camera is reconized somehow because randomally the light next to the camera will flash green. This does happen very randomally when I use the laptop (Even when I'm not trying to actavate the camera, it's just a random green flash). I really hope that someone/anyone can help me!  Please!

While recording videos using the Lenovo Legion Y520 built in Camera with default Camera Application, the Camera/Camera Application keeps freezing.  Usually I can record one long video. After that, the Camera/Camera Application freezes after a minute to two minutes of recording use. Once the issue happens, I have to power cycle the notebook and even then the issue sometimes happens immediately. I tired using a third party application and the same thing keeps happening, which is leading me to assume it's probably the hardware and not that default Camera Application. I have done all the latest Windows and Lenovo updates to this point. Please help if possible.

Purchased this refurbished All-in-One yesterday and am doing my initial set up.   The built in Intel RealSense Camera does not work.  First noticed this when I tried the MS Camera App and got back the error message "We can't find your camera.  Check to be sure it's connected and installed properly, that it isn''t being blocked by antivirus software, and that your camera drivers are up to date.  If you need it, here is the error code:  0xA00F4244(oxC00D36D5). So I have been troubleshooting.  The Anti-Virus is the McAfee that came pre-installed.  I perused the firewall section of its configuration panel and saw nothing to suggest McAfee was blocking the camera. Then I went online to HP support.   Note: The troubleshooting section for built-in all-in-one cameras is non-existent.  The troubleshooting info for external cameras was not helpful.  But I did find advice at HP to go into my device manager and reinstall or update the camera drivers.   So, I went into the Windows Defice Manager.   There is no camera driver listed either under Imaging Devices or Sound, Video, Game Controllers, the two places suggested to look.  In fact, the only related driver I can find is under System Devices there is an "Intel RealSense Camera Virtual Bus Enumerator".  That probably isn't it, but I updated driver anyway and was told by system I already had the current driver (for whatever that ... A:Ram upgrade for v110 15isk 80lt000nix

Hi gabriel90ita,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As per product specifications:
V110-15ISK: 16GB max / 2133MHz DDR4, dual-channel capable,
4GB memory soldered to systemboard, one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket

There would only be one available socket for upgrade (up to 16GB max) similar to crucial's scanner here.
The other 4GB is soldered part of the systemboard as shown here in page 49 hardware manual.

Hope this helps answer your query.

Hello everyone,I'm in desperate need for some help for this issue with my almost new Ideapad (model as in object). After the automatic Windows 10 1709 Fall Creators Update the laptop started to have problems in recognizing my Panasonic Hd Ready TV via HDMI (wich worked perfectly just before that). No error messages of any sort, it's just like the cable isn't plugged in (Win+P or other combos not working). I thought it could be related with video driver problems, so I ran the Lenovo System Update, which actually solved the problem, but just for a few days. Then it suddenly stopped working again (no other updates or software installation meanwhile). As the drivers as up to date, I obviously can't do any further upgrades. I tried the static discharge methot as well (the battery is built in, so I just kept the power button pressed for 30 seconds with the unit turning on and off repeatedly), but it didn't work for me (maybe I lost something in the process?).I would really be glad for any idea given, as I bought the laptop something like three months ago and, even if i format it (wich won't be a big issue), the Windows update will be reinstalled so the problem will probably show up again. Thanks in advance,Riccardo

I recently purchased my first Vista machine, an HP Pavilion DV6700. After deleting the HP "bloatware", I have had a very pleasant experience with Vista so far.

I am looking to "upgrade" the camera software that came with it. Free is always good, but if the product has rave review I would pay for it.

Oldwizard,
What camera software came with it?
Once you list it then google a review of free camera software.
