Preferred Solution: yoga book driver update?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I'm currently working with Systemax (makers of PaintTool SAI) to try and troubleshoot why pressure sensitivity for the Yoga Book does not work. According to their support staff the issue is that the wintab32.dll driver isn't loading. I've been searching for the driver on Microsoft's website, but I know the Yoga Book works a bit differently. Is there a version of the wintab driver for the Yoga Book, and will it still coexist with the keyboard?

I have a Yoga book with a windows 10 (with 1709 v. update) operating system. I have had the problem of not being able to use pressure sensitivity with  some art programs that i've downloaded onto this pc, so i downloaded the wacom feel driver. Now i  can not use any programs except the one art program that i wanted ti use, due to the cursor beign in the top left side corner. I have tried to fix this by deleting and dowloading the wacom driver again. I hope i'm not the only one with this problem, and that someone can fix it.Thanks for the replies in advance !

Hello everyone,

yesterday, 9.4.2016, windows update installed update with this name "Lenovo Ltd. driver update for Lenovo System Firmaware V 001". The problem is, that after that, my keyboard started to "stuck" at Mechwarrior game (do not even have to be in game, login screen is enough and if I alt+tab, it is stucking in windows too). Every half a second there is slight pause, whene the pressed key is stucked for a few moments and if no key is pressed, than you cannot press key for a few moments. It is quite annoying. I updated keyboard drivers but to no help. I wanted to uninstall that Lenovo update, but there is not an option to do so, unlikely other windows updates.

My question is following, anyone knows, what that update was about? What firmware was updated? In device manager system firmware version is still unchanged for half a year. And I was unable to find anything about it over the internet. Also, since I have no idea what was updated, I cannot revert to older version.

Thanks in advance to everyone.

Edit: Forgot to mention my notebook is Yoga 500, 15-ISK.

I have a 2 week old Yoga 910. I have recently allowed it to do a driver update through the 'Lenovo Companion' program. After restart I now find that I have continuous (>10mins) high CPU usage (>30%).  After investigating Windows Task Manager I note: "TODO: <File Description> (32 bit)" with subgroup "Qualcom Atheros WLAN Driver Service" is the culprit using >30% CPU.  As mentioned... this runs continuously. The problem driver is Liteon WLAN Driver - 10[64] V.12.0.0.278. I'm not sure why it shows under "TODO: <File Description> (32 bit)"... I have not seen this before... If someone could explain what "TODO: <File Description> (32 bit)" is that would be appreciated. Uninstalling this driver rectifies the problem.  Using repair mode on the installer package does not fix it.  Re-installing this driver causes the issue again.  This driver update appears to be broken.  Please rectify.

I have a Yoga 14 20FY thinkpad. After battling all day with the track pad not working (at work without Internet)... I went to update the device drivers (when I got home) from lenovo's website. As everything is updating - it tells me to not reboot it or power it off because it will damage my machine... And then, it goes ahead and does it itself. The shutting down screen pops up - and that's the last my screen has worked. Period. The keyboard is lighting up so I know it's turning on and off, but that's it. No screen. F11 on a reboot doesn't do anything, either. I wish I were more helpful, I am posting from my cell phone, and I am so frustrated.

According to this post by Lenovo Lenovo devices tested for Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018), Intel Graphics Driver version 24.20.100.6286 or newer should be installed before attempting to upgrade to October update. The most recent intel graphics driver version availabe for Yoga 260 is 24.20.100.6170. Are there any plans to release the new intel graphics driver version for Yoga 260? If I manually update my system without first updating the intel driver, will it cause any issues?

Got our new Yoga 900 yesterday. Came with Windows 1511, immediately upgraded to 1607. (impressed by  the speed of the upgrade). After that I went through the preinstalled Lenovo software. Uninstalled some, checked ito some other. The "Lenovo Companion" offered two updates: "BIOS", which got installed just fine, and an "Intel LPSS Driver" - unfortunately this one repeatedly fails to install. 1) what is that for?2) how to get the installation to succeed? thanks!

Hi, I noticed that the Intel Graphics Driver have never been updated by Lenovo. The actual driver x.x.4627 is now from 2017. When can we expect a new driver update ? There seems to be no support for the Yoga 710 14-isk.  This old driver seems to be causing issue to update to Windows 1903.

I recently updated the Conexant audio driver to the newest version released on about June 1 using System Update. After the update which all went fine I began noticing that if I left my machine for more than about 30 seconds without it making a sound, the next time a sound was to be played it would take about 5 to 10 seconds to come out of something that seemed like a sleep mode. In other words if I pressed play on a sound file or caused any system sound it would miss the first 10 or so seconds. This did not happen before the update. I used the device manager to roll back the driver and the old driver does not exhibit this problem. I would just leave it on that old driver but the sound is terrible since it seems that the Dolby software is not available for me to tweak the sounds after the rollback.I then reinstalled the new driver and the dolby panel is back but so is the delay after a period of inactivity. This would be nuisance enough but since I am blind, I rely on the sound card for my speech system. Any ideas are welcomed. I could not find any settings about power or sleep in the audio driver panels so I am at a loss. Is there a way to get the driver and Dolby software package that was on the machine before the latest update ran?

Hi,I use a Yoga 720-15lkb with Nvidia GPU with a 4K display.Due to the Nvidia Optimus making Intel HD graphics the sole controller of the display, Windows UI animations lag by an incredible amount at the 3840 x 2160 resolution. There is talk about the Intel Graphics - Windows 10 DCH drivers solving a lot of problems but while trying to install it, it says it has not been validated for my computer. I checked the driver for Yoga 15lkb there where no new updates. Can we get an update from Lenovo for the Intel HD graphics 630?The Windows UI lag is ruining the experience of the 3 day old laptop.

A:[Request] Intel HD Graphics Driver Update for Yoga 720-15lkb

You can install the latest Intel Graphics drivers provided by Intel, but you must first switch to the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter first to avoid the "not been validated" message you received earlier.  Before starting, download the latest Intel DCH driver for your graphics adapter if needed, and disconnect any external monitors for the time being. Right-click on Start and select Device ManagerClick on "Display Adapters" to expand, and then double-click on your Intel HD 620 Graphics adapterSelect the Driver tab -> "Update Driver" -> "Browse my computer for driver software" -> "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"Select ?Microsoft Basic Display Adapter?Click ?Next? (note that you screen resolution will likely change) when it switches to the basic driver.Close Device ManagerYou should now be able to install the latest Intel DCH driver you downloaded earlier successfully.  Cheers,

Hi. Since i can't post in the enterprise solutions forum, i'll post my request here.Yoga 460 has not been out for more than a few months, and in that time, pretty much all drivers have been updated, as is normal for a new model. What annoys me is that i have to run system update on all new laptop installed by SCCM, since there has not been a new SCCM package released since the original one, that fixes several important issues. Therefore, i request that Lenovo releases a new SCCM package with all the latest updates. Thanks!

Happy holidays, all -I recently bought my girlfriend a Yoga 720 when they went on sale at Best Buy. She loves it, but the touch screen doesn't work at all. Per a few hours of research, I've discovered this is an issue that has been documented not only in this forum, but on Reddit and elsewhere, too:https://www.reddit.com/r/Lenovo/comments/73su16/lenovo_is_ignoring_a_big_issue_with_yoga720_13/https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-touch/lenovo-yoga-720-touch-screen-driv...https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-720-Touchscreen-not-working/td-p/3880...It seems the Windows Creators Update messes with the Wacom driver. I can't seem to get it working. I've tried updating drivers from Lenovo and Wacom along with several other solutions. In the device manager, the Wacom Device has an alert on it reading "This device cannot start. Code 10. STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR." Has anyone found a better fix for this, yet? It seems insane Lenovo hasn't addressed it, and more so, tells users its a hardware problem when it clearly is not. Thank you for any help you can provide. I'm losing my mind trying to fix it and would hate to bring the laptop back!

I had the an issue but with Yoga 530. First of all, the system simply hanging when I try to put it to sleep or shut down. I hunted down the cause and it seems the new audio driver causing it. I rolled back the audio driver to 6.0.1.8591 from 6.0.1.8703 and the system immediately started to work as desired. I used Lenovo Diagnostics Tool and checked Windows' inbuilt reliability monitor for more details and this helped me to track down what caused the problem. Unfortunately, Vantage software forced to update this driver so I had to switch off this function.

Signed up for this specific topic; been searching everywhere with nothing panning out.  Conexant SmartAudio HD, Lenovo ThinkPad OneLink Dock, and Intel(R) Display Audio are my sound drivers/controllers.  Conexant is running computer speakers in HD, I have no speakers connected to Onelink, and my real question Intel(R) Display Audio the dedicated HDMI driver is running through Onelink to my LG OLED TV.   Problem is Intel(R) Display Audio doesnt support HD formats I know with certainty my TV does in fact in sound settings it excludes tens if not hundreds of supported formats and is maxed at 2 channels while TV is 4 naitive upscaled to 7.1.  Up until 3 days ago I new nothing of any of this and first suspected the Onelink which it may still be but I'm convinced its the dedicated HDMI driver Intel(R) Display Audio. Is there any driver or software that I can use for HDMI from the Onelink that is passed through a sound driver/controller similar to Intel High Definition Audio driver which would allow me to have HD sound (this search began because of a stutter in sound for .2-2 sec every 5-20 min on HD playback in Kodi (post buffer and nonexistant on playback)).  Thanks

Hello,I have a Lenovo 910, since the last windows update, my display driver stopped working. I went to device manager and uninstalled the display driver and tried to re-install again, I am getting an error that "This operation requires an interactive window station". I tried to update the driver from Lenovo 'Vantage' app as well as from the support website using "Automatic Driver Update" option, both failed to update the driver. ? I did some research online, they are advising to update the permissions in "System32\drivers" and "System32\DriverStore" folder, but I don't want to mess-up with the windows internal folder permissions. Does anyone faced this issue? My laptop is still under warranty, if I reach lenovo service, can they fix it? Regards,Sandeep

I have fixed the issue. I went to this website (https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vis...) to add a new context menu to "Take Ownership" of a folder. Then I had taken ownership of "C:\Windows\System32\drivers" and "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore" and added full control to the Administrator. After that when I tried to install drivers, it worked fine! ?
