Finding Earliest Date from 3 conditions

Q: Finding Earliest Date from 3 conditions

Hello,

I am having issues pulling the earliest date based on 3 criteria for thousands of unique loan numbers. I have a database where I have information on the below criteria on a monthly basis which has been maintained for a few years. I want to pull the earliest year/month (YEAR_MONTH field) for each of these loans based from the following:

1) First date after the DATE_CANCELLATION Field where Condition 1 is met
2) First date after the DATE_CANCELLATION Field where Condition 2 is met
3) December 2013

Do I create a CASE statement? If so, do I put it in the SELECT or in the WHERE section? Thank you.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi I have 5 columns of data with the following column headings

accno
currentmonth
matdateband1
matdateband2
matdateband3

I want to create a new query based on this table with an addional column headed "nextmatdate". This field picks the next date on from the currentmonth date.

Here are a couple of rows and the results I would like to achieve:

eg 1
accno:1
currentmonth:01/01/2012
matdateband1: 01/01/2012
matdateband2:01/01/2013
matdateband3:01/01/2014
nextmatdate: 01/01/2013

eg 2
accno:2
currentmonth:01/01/2012
matdateband1: 01/01/2012
matdateband2:null
matdateband3:null
nextmatdate: null

eg 3
accno:3
currentmonth:01/01/2012
matdateband1: 01/05/2012
matdateband2:null
matdateband3:null
nextmatdate: 01/05/2012

Hope this makes sense!!
Thanks for looking

A:Access function to find the earliest date in a row

tillyw, welcome to the forum.
What you want to do is not straightforward, because Null is not later than the CurrentMonth.
So it is going to take a complicated IIf() statement as the column heading, you could try this as a heading
nextmatdate: iif([matdateband1]>[currentmonth] or isnull([matdateband1]),[matdateband1])

This is only the first part of the calculation, but it will test if the Null gives you an error of "Improper Use Of Null".
If it doesn't we can add the other parts of the calculation

If it doesn't work it might take a VBA Module to do it.

Hello, I was hoping someone could help me write a function in Excel. I have 2 columns as seen below. What I am trying to do is in a 3rd column have a function that looks at each ref number and returns the earliest date associated with each. For example, for ref. number 2 there are two date 6/22 and 6/23. I would want it to populate a new column with the earlier of the two dates. And the same for ref number 3,4,5 and so on. Is this possible. Thank you for your help.

A:Finding Date of creation?

Probably not the RIGHT way to do it, but since you know how to read files, you can output the dir command's results for the file, to a tempfile and then read it.

#include <cstdlib>
system("dir /TC filename.ext > tempfile.ext");

Then the first 10 characters on the 6th line of the temp file will be the created date.

This seems like the sort of thing which be so simple...

I have connected a friend's iPhone to my PC, so that I can copy some photos taken between particular dates (03-Feb-19 to 20-Feb-19). But there are many photos there, taken on many dates and spread across a large number of sub-folders of the DCIM folder. Plus the file creation dates are not always easy to organise. Putting that column in date order in Windows Explorer doesn't always put the dates in date order...

Is there a file finder which can find those files reliably?

I'm sure it's simple but I'm struggling to work out how to get the second date in a series in Access. I have a list of customers and the dates they have been seen - I also have a table which works out the first date in the series I can't see how, it's something I've just got to use!). Is there a relatively simple expression which would find the next date after that one/the second in the series?

Thanks

A:Access - Finding second date in a series

sazzra, welcome to the Forum.
I am afraid you are wrong, it is not simple, which is why you are struggling.
I think it can be done with 2 Queries, one to find the first date and then one to ignore the first date and find the second.
However can you be more precise about the date position, when you say the frist date in a series, do you mean the "Earliest date" or the "Latest date" as being "first"?

I am trying to find the manufacture date for pcs that I cannot physically look at, but have the service tag numbers.  Is there an link other than looking at the warranty.  That only shows the ship date, not manufacture date.  Thanks!

A:I need help Finding the manufacture date from the service tag number

The shipping date is essentially the same as the manufacturing date - bear in mind that in recent years, Dell systems are built under contract with ODMs (Foxconn, Pegatron, Wistron, etc).  Dell hasn't manufactured systems itself in years - so the ship date is all there is.

It seems that file backup software resets the file created date to the date of the backup; in this case the critical files are .CAD (AutoCad) files, and I need to know when the project began. It was several years ago, and I do not recall the backup programs that were used, and old HDs were wiped; recovery attempts indicate - no .CAD files or fragments. Is there a way to find or restore the original file created date...?

A:restoring, or finding. the original 'file created' date

Try right clicking on the file, click on properties, and you should see the create date, as well as the last modify and access dates. This works for many types of files, although I don't know about .cad files. I use Ghost for backup, and it shows the last date modified by me, not the software (right click/properties is not available for the backup file).

If you don't have the file on your computer separate from the backup copy, depending on your backup software, you might be able to restore the file to a different location so as not to overwrite you current copy, then look at its properties.

Glad to see some threads with information about it... like the security score question.
I was going there next.

BUT... Here is my question:
Belarc is telling me that my Flash Player (Firefox, I assume... hmmm... I'll need to check MSIE).
is out of date and vulnerable. See screenshot....

belarc.jpg.

But checking Firefox, and Installed Programs, they both say I have the latest version.
See Flashplayer.jpg.

Any advice?

Looks like it was Microsoft Internet Explorer version that was out of date.

Where would i need to add such an entry for the batch file? Adding it as a Windows service maybe? I know the steps for creating most of these different entries, I just need to know where to create a startup entry so it executes the earliest time possible.

Thanks!

Got a question; don't remember how to do this.

Say I have the following code:
PHP:

A:PHP Conditions

Actually, in PHP, you can use AND or two ampersands (&&). But that second if is just checking that $a==$c and $d exists. You should also use single quotes unless double quotes are really necessary, this will speed up processing time.
PHP:

<?php

$b 'goodbye';

$c 'blah blah user input';

$d 'other user input'

if ($d==$a)

I have until December 2015 TOSHIBA International Warranty - please advise - PC info and conditioning in Annex

A:CPU according to conditions used to warm?

Hi

The CPU temperature depends on the notebook usage.
If you run some applications which would load the CPU a lot, then the CPU temperature could increase to a higher level.

To decrease the heat dissipation, it could be advisable to decrease the max CPU performance (< 90%).
This can be done in the Windows Advanced Power options.

I don’t know if it would be the option for you but it seems that the change of thermal grease (for example: arctic mx4) could also help to improve the cooling performance.

I had a Geforce 6600 SLi, if I want to run n Sli mode,is it needed to buy a another VGA which is same model,same manufacture....I can buy a Geforce 6600 GT to run in Sli mode ?????

A:which conditions to 2 VGA can run with SLI mode????

Just to confirm, you have a 6600 (not GT) and you are thinking of buying a 6600GT to put them in SLI?

As far as I know, it can't be done. You need a second 6600 for SLI. But you CAN mix and match different makers, speeds and sizes. It just needs to be the same GPU.

(from http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone2_rel80.html)

Example: You can use a GeForce 7800 GTX from manufacturer ABC with a GeForce 7800 GTX from manufacturer XYZ.
Note: You must still use two graphics cards that have the same GPU. For example, a GeForce 7800 GT must be matched with another GeForce 7800 GT (not with a GeForce 7800 GTX or a GeForce 6800 Ultra). Mix and Match Graphics Cards with Different Input/Output Ports
Example: You can use a GeForce 6800 GT with Dual DVI & TV-out with a GeForce 6800 GT with Dual DVI & VIVO.

Mix and Match Graphics Cards with Different Clock Speeds
Example: You can use a higher clocked GeForce 6600 GT 550/525 with a standard clock GeForce 6600 GT 500/500.

Mix and Match Graphics Cards with Different Memory Sizes
Example: Using Coolbits, you can use a 128MB GeForce 6800 GT with a 256MB GeForce 6800 GT.Click to expand...

A:Possible rule to automatically Bcc if conditions are met?

Hello headbanger51 and welcome to the forums

I don't know of any feature in Outlook that will allow you to do this, but I have found a piece of software:

Outlook BCC / CC - blind carbon copy automatically with Auto BCC for Outlook

In your rules, you can use the following options and have an automatic BCC / CC copy sent for:
all outgoing emails sent from all your e-mail accountse-mails sent from one of your Microsoft Outlook profiles or accountsmessages sent to the specified addresses onlymessages with particular words or phrases in the subject line or in the attachment name

The software costs $26.95 and offers a 15 day fully functioning trial.

Here is more information about the software: Auto BCC/CC for Microsoft Outlook - Outlook Add-On Review - About Email

Hope this helps,

I need to add 26 and add 20% to the entire column but only for numbers that are under 100 and add 34 plus 20% to numbers from 101 to 150

any ideas?

A:how to put conditions in excel formula

It's not quite clear as to what you need. I'll assume that in your column for each number less than or equal to 100 you want to increase each number by 20% plus 26. For each number between 101 and 149 you want to increase each number by 20% plus 34. If that is the case here is what will do that

Code:
=SUMIF($E$4:$E$13,"<=100",$E$4:$E$13)*1.2+COUNTIF($E$4:$E$13,"<=100")*26
Code:
=SUMIFS($E$4:$E$14,$E$4:$E$14,">100",$E$4:$E$14,"<150")*1.2+COUNTIFS($E$4:$E$14,">100",$E$4:$E$14,"<150")*34

I recently upgraded from a amd 6870 to an R9 290, and have been having problems since, i would normally blame the card but I've been assured that it works fine in another setup(will double check this in a friends in 2 days time), I'm generally inclined to believe this as they said they would happily take it back for a full refund including paying my postage.

Currently i get a bsod within around 15 mins of a cold boot, no matter what it is im doing. After it restarts from this though I'm usually free of problems if i do something light such as browsing for about 10 mins before going into a game. Generally if ive not had a bsod in 30 mins, i wont have one.
Things I've tried:

Clean install of windows 7, I experienced no Bsods all night but just encase tried it the next morning, had the same problem so I'm happy i double checked that before formatting my os.

Completely removing all Amd drivers and then reinstalling, also older drivers and beta drivers, no effect.

unplugging all my hard drivers, additional fans and such and running just on the essentails, no effect.

Underclocking the card, no effect.

I will attached the file the Dm log creater made, if you need any additional information please ask, i do have logs of the crashes from Gpu-z logs, but there seems to be no correlation in bsod times.

I have a database that consists of the following:
Col A: case number (e.g. 1993-01-115, 2002-11-078, etc.)
Col B: username (e.g. John Henry, Jane Doe, etc.)
Col C: hours (number of hours each user worked on case number)
Col D: case owner name

Col A contains repeats of some case numbers and is sorted ascending
Col B contains repeats of some usernames

I need to add the hours in Col C depending on:

Each time a unique case number is encountered, check Col D (case owner name) and lookup this name in Col B (username) and sum the hours for each instance the case owner appears.
Database example:
Case No Username Hours Owner
1993-01-115 Jane Doe 2 Jane Doe
2004-05-020 John Henry 1 Theresa Chan
2004-05-020 Theresa Chan 2 Theresa Chan
2004-05-020 Theresa Chan 3 Theresa Chan
2004-05-020 Larry Roberts 1 Theresa Chan
2004-11-072 Andrew Dunn 1 Andrew Dunn

So using the above example, case 1993-01-115 owner is Jane Doe and total hours is 2, case 2004-05-020 the owner is Theresa Chan and total hours is 5, case 2004-11-072 the owner is Andrew Dunn and total hours is 1 and so on.

Could someone help me write a formula to accomplish this? Thanks!

I am a little confused about Twitter. Need some clarification:

1.) If I just write something without a flashtag, who sees it?

2.) Suppose I follow "Joe", but Joe doesn't follow me back, does Joe get my messages if I include his tag?

3.) Does it matter if the tag to a person is at the beginning, middle, or end of the message?

4.) Do all of Joe's followers also get my message to him, or just Joe and me.

5.) If Joe decides to follow me, than do all of Joe's followers get my message, or do Joe or me have to retweet them?

Hello there! This PC was built for a kin of mine not long ago, about 2 month back. Ever since it was built, the computer has been crashing at times such as idling, web browsing and streaming videos, however, it has never crashed in games - Overwatch, CSGO according to him. The crashes also do not produce a blue screen or a dump file (I have checked the options to ensure that dump files are created, but to no avail), and simply freezes the screen, mouse and keyboard inoperable, sound is stuck on the same frequency if it was playing. I've done some basic testing and troubleshooting which I will list below. The computer specs are as shown:
Motherboard: ASUS B150M-C
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5-6600 with stock cooler
Power Supply: Cooler Master V650 Semi Modular
Graphics Card: ZOTAC GTX 1060 Mini 6GB
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaw V 8GB (4x2) DDR4 2400MHz
Hard Drive: WD Blue Caviar 1TB 7200RPM
Solid State Drive: Samsung EVO 750 120GB
The few things that I've done/tested for troubleshooting:
Ran memtest and left it overnight to run, nothing showed up after 9 runs on both RAM
Checked idle temperatures, GPU is at around 40C idle, and CPU around 40 as well using HWMonitor
Cleaned out the computer case of dust, CPU/GPU fan
Re-seated the components (GPU, CPU, Power cables, header cables etc.)
Breadboard tested the computer - POSTed properly with 1/2 ram sticks in (tested all 4 ram slots as well), running on integrated graphics
I am out of ideas ... Read more

Hi, Iím trying to write a code that would bring up an input (?) box asking what date that Iím looking for and then put the cursor on that cell. It has to look at only 2 of the worksheets out of 3 in the workbook. The dates are written as the last day of a month (1/31/2010) and formatted to show only the month (January). I want the input box to recognize an input like ďJan 2010Ē and go to January, which is really 1/31/2010 ((or Mar 2014 which is really 3/31/2014)).
I have data in rows after the date which I think I can use conditional format to high light.
I can combine the two sheets if it would make the code easier. The dates are in A:A in both worksheets. One worksheet has the dates start at 1/31/2010 (January) and end at 12/31/2016 (December) . The second worksheet has dates that start at 1/31/2017 (January) and end at 12/31/2026 (December), for now
Iíll make a button and assign the code to it, which I learned how to do from this web site.

I'm using Excel 2007

Hi, I am having a hard time with creating a macro that will hide rows when a specific column value is equal to 0 or blank only upon printing. I have this macro currently... which works however I can not get it to un-hide rows.

Sub HideRows()
With Range("A2800")
.EntireRow.Hidden = False
For Each cell In Range("C7:C" & ActiveCell.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeLastCell).Row)
Select Case cell.Value
Case Is = 0
cell.EntireRow.Hidden = True
Case Is = ""
cell.EntireRow.Hidden = True
End Select
Next cell
End With
End Sub

Is there a better code out there to allow me to work in all rows in the workbook and only hide the rows with my specific criteria upon printing? i need the criteria to be based on column C staring in row 7 that any cell with 0 or blank will not print. It sounds so simple but I am hitting a wall and would appreciate any help!

Hi - I've created a drop-down list on one cell of Excel with about 6 different numbers in it. Each of those 6 numbers has a unique "other number" that must be recorded in the next cell. That's where my problem is. I'd like this to happen automatically, but have no idea how to start. This is what my brain is thinking: (example) "If F16=105, then F15=90...However...If F16=130, then F15=75...However...If F16=200, then F15=64, etc. Does that make sense? I'm using Windows 7 and I believe Excel 2010.

I need to have sequential numbering from 1 to 600 utilizing a static leading fiscal year indicator and a static trailing division indicator. The format should look like this:

12-001L
12-002L
12-003L
and so forth up to
12-600L

How do I write this to enable the numbering? Please keep in mind that for numbers less than 100 I want leading zeros so that the characters fill seven spaces.

I know how to do a conditional macro like this:

Condition
[Results]=0

SetValue[Forms]![WageCalc]![Total], [Expression]=[rate]

IF Results = 0 that statement is true, but if the statment =1 it is false. So now I want the second condtion to run:

Condition
[Results]>0

SetValue[Forms]![WageCalc]![Total], [Expression]=[PwRate]+[standardfringe]+[prevpension]

Access sees the first condition and returns that value. How do I get it to look at both conditions and return results based on which condition is true?

Hi once again and thanks for the suggestions that helped me successfully install Windows 7. Now I'm having some strange issues with booting. I apologize for the tl;dr post that follows.

To explain a bit more: after getting the first install to finally complete, I had some issues getting the system to boot again after installing the motherboard drivers and making some changes with the video card. It was booting in safe mode, but not when I selected normal startup. System restore, rolling back drivers, and disabling startup processes did not fix the problem. So, I decided to reinstall Windows 7 because it seemed like a software issue that I wasn't able to fix on my own, and I had hardly done anything that I would feel sad losing to a clean install.

Once I reinstalled, I started having the same issues I had been before--Windows 7 not allowing me to complete the installation. I decided that perhaps my BIOS needed updating, since I had tried everything else that I have seen suggested on these forums. I made a bootable Flash drive with DOS on it and transfered the new BIOS drivers onto it, as per this German site (with help from Google translate). I configured the boot order in my BIOS like so:USB-FDD
CDROM
HDD
It is also relevant to mention that I left my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 install disc in the CDROM. I also changed HPET support to "disabled" (I had done this before, but had reset the CMOS since then and so had to redo it. Thought that may have been th... Read more

A:Windows 7 only booting under specific conditions

What was the reason you changed out the mobo drivers in the first place? I would only change the drivers given by installer (and optional Windows Updates) if performance dictates this. Was there a performance reason you swapped in the other chipset drivers? What was performance like before and after?

Reset your CMOS, unplug all peripherals, boot the Win7 DVD Repair console to run Startup Repair several times to see if it finds anything to repair.

Test your HD using the maker's full diag/repair CD scan: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

Then run Disk Check from the DVD Command Line.

Test your RAM using memtest86 for 5-6 passes or overnight.

Check the Event Viewer>Custom>Admin View for repeat errors to google text/ID# to resolution. Next check Performance log on Advanced Tools page accessed by clicking WEI score at Computer>Properties. Look for cued issues on Tools page, Generate a System Health Report. The OS should reveal issues in logs, otherwise focus on hardware/BIOS settings.

Hi, I recently got my computer infected with a virus and it's unremovable as it keeps reinstalling, even with adwcleaner and MalwareBytes, so I want to restore it. Ive looked through forums and it said use the option in control panel, but I can't find that. Another told me to press f8 before it started, but that still didn't work. Any tips? OK - Before anyone starts to yell about multiple posts, I have searched and viewed all of the posts prior to mine yet I run into the same issue each time.

Here's what I'm looking to do:

IF a cell in Column BK is blank AND a cell in Column N is greater than 4, highlight red.

The Formula I currently have is:
=($BK2="")*($N2>3)

There are two things that are happening:

1) Cells are being highlighted red even though they have a value in Column BK (formula above conditions BK to be blank).
2) Cells are being highlighted red even though they have a value in Column N less than 4 (formula above conditions N to be greater than 3).

Please let me know if you require any additional information. I thank you in advance for your assistance.

A:Solved: Conditional Format with Two Conditions

Hi
Although your formula works I prefer a more straightforward approach. Assuming data is in rows 2 to 20 this would be your conditional statement;

=AND($N2>4,$BK2="")

You don't say which cells you want to shade. If it is only cols N and BK you'd put this in the "Applies to" box;

=$N$2:$N$20,$BK$2:$BK$20

If you want to shade everything from N to BK you'd enter this

=$N$2:$BK$20
The important point here, and probably the reason your condition is not working, is that the Applies to and the conditional statement have to be consistent i.e. if your Condition statement cites Row 2 as above then your Applies to must start in Row 2 as well.

Hi All,

I am trying to conditionally format a cell in Excel based on the date in it being less than ten days from today, as well as another cell containing the word 'Unbooked'

The cells are C2 (containing the date) - I want the text in this cell to go red if the date is less than ten days from today, and if F2 (containing the trip status) is "Unbooked".

Can anybody help? Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks,
Chris
