Hi , I have Lenovo Z 580 Ideapad. For 4 years , I never faced any major issue regarding my laptop . 3 months back its fan stopped working. So i visited an authorized service centre located at Gurugram. Since my laptop is out of warranty , they told me that the fan need to be replaced and charges will be applied. They said that they will order the part and let me know when my laptop will be ready . Few days back, they called me and asked me to pickup my laptop.I went there and checked my laptop , its fan was working . I paid the full amount. They gave me the receipt But they didn't provide me the Fan's warranty card or anywhere the warranty was mentioned in the receipt. They didn't even told me when the warranty of the Fan they replaced , was gonna expire. I trusted them , thus I didn't argue that time.But now after 2 & half months , the Fan stopped working again . I went again and showed them my laptop. Now they are saying that the Fan panel need to be changed again & since the Fan's warranty is expired , I have to pay the full charges again. They are **bleep**ing kidding me . I am so angry at them right now . I have serious doubt that they played me . They just resolved some minor issue but charged me the full amount of Fan in the first place . & now they are doing the same thing again. They are **bleep**ing mischief. I am so disappointed and irritated on how they are acting. I tried the customer care but everytime they give me some other number to contact someone else. I have already contacted the Consumer Forum and registered a complaint regarding this issue.

I bought my T470 a month ago with "3 Years Onsite Next Business Day" warranty. And recenty I noticed there's some problem with my screen, so I called Lenovo. And I've already got the new screen they sent to me.Here is the problem: THE TECHNICIAN NEVER CAME!!! And they keep on saying they will come to fix my laptop "tomorrow", and I can't even remember how many "tomorrow"s have passed!!! What's worse, they would never call to tell you they are not coming on that day, so you need to call again and ask, and they will say they will come "tomorrow", and then they are not coming, and you need to call again. worst experiance from  PROMPT DATA PRODUCTS PVT LTD,  mumbai 400072. my laptop having a problem in ethernet port and hinge problem. so i had gone to the above service centre, the details of which i had obtained fom hp website. they charged me a service charge of rs750. they were not able to repair those two. while they are giveing back some rows of laptop keyboard also not working. and they told that it was not working whil im giving to them. there was only one engineer in that service centre and he is irresponsible. he dont realize what he had done wrong. so i had taken my laptop back and give to other service centre. i replaced keyboard. then the same keys were not working in new laptop also. then they checked and they told there was a problem with some ic. the  stupid staff of  PROMPT DATA PRODUCTS done something wrong. now it costs me around 1400, to back my laptop to original condition. totally around 1300(service charge + transport charge)+1400(repairing keyboard ic) around 2800 rupees became waste because of worst hp service centre

Regarding camera issue of mine it's not covered in warranty no damage has been found on phone just on lense what a coincidence I asked for quotation or in written that this will be covered out of warranty service center denied that why I had to voice record there statement 1st on call your excutive said who camera is covered in warranty because camera is single unit she told me bout company and all. And I had Moto X2 for almost 2 year that camera's lenses is bigger that this phone but never got any quality issues with that used iPhone 5s for more than 2 year not even a single spot on lense had Nexus 5 for over 2 year even bigger lense but nothing even tempered glass that cost around INR 7 on my screen lasts for 3 month on my phone but in this phone 100% of back is of glass but no scratches on back but just on camera there is glare type effect and service center said this is physically damaged and not be covered in warranty and I have to pay INR 230+ for quotation orally and approximately they said INR 1000 and even after repair will not be covered in warranty. After use of 25-30 days of normal usage I have to spent INR 1000. So in a year I have to spend INR 14760 on this phone maintenance if I want to use this phone's camera. I think I had make a BIGGEST mistake choosing LENOVO for 1st time. I want a solution or permanent fix for this issue. I sent my laptop Y460p for repair at Lenovo IdeaPad series Service Centre at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre on the 9th of April. It's been 2 weeks and I have not received calls from them so I called them today and asks them about my laptop. The person who answered the call asks me to wait for him to call back as he will need to go and check.  When he called back, I was disappointed. The person told me that my laptop had just been processed today and ask me to give them 3 to 5 more working days. I am a student. School had already started for me and I really need my laptop. If i had knew that it would take such a long time for them to repair my laptop, I would not have sent it for repair. And I was told that my laptop would take 5-8 working days(usually only 3-5 working days) because they had to extend my warranty. It's already way past 8 working days! It's the 12th working day from the day i sent my laptop for repair and you are telling me you were doing nothing to my laptop? and It's not the first time i had such bad experience with Lenovo. My laptop had problems with the keyboard. So last year, I went to the service centre at bukit timah shopping centre and tried to have my laptop repaired. I've made complaint written as per below email to [email protected] but I still did not get any reply from anyone from lenovo after the complaints I've made to service center through either phone or email. The email as follows:" Dear Sir, Referring to the matter above, I would like to make a complaint on the poor service provided by the service center. It has been 3 weeks since I sent my laptop for warranty claim and they have not replace the cable. I'm frustrated I've been told to wait everytime and not given a date of completion.  On 19/07/14, I sent a laptop to Lenovo authorized service center at Low Yat Plaza for warranty claim. The problem description and details is as per slip attached. On the first week, I called and the service center notified me that they identified the problem and already have the cable for replacement. They will have the technicians to fix it and let me know through sms once done.  The next week I called on Wednesday, and they said they still have not fix it. Telling me the same story again....will get the technicians to fix it and ask me to wait for the sms. On Saturday, I personally made a visit to the service center to check on the status and they still tell me the same story again. The third week I called and yet again they tell me the same story. Hello I am working for an international organisation and I am responsible for all ICT manners in Lebanon. We have deployed several HP laptops (mostly EliteBook 840). The organisation has a world wide warranty. Now I am looking for an Authorized Service Center in Lebanon which could support us in case one of the laptops breaks. We mainly have issue with broken screens or power issues. Is there an Authorized Service Center in Lebanon? I have an H50-05 with a bad power supply and 2 weeks out of warranty.  My credit card company extends the warranty 1 year, but they need (and will pay for) a diagnosis from an authorized service center.    The Lenovo website says there is only one service center within 100 miles, but when I call that company they say they don't repair anything. Is there such a thing as an authorized service center, and how do I find one.

I have Alienware Laptop, Area-51 M17x ... I bought the system about 2 years ago from alienware UK and it was shipped to Saudi Arabia. Now I am having problems with heating and need some servicing. The service center that claims to be dell service center says that "it only services  the systems purchased from its shop" so I am clueless now. Anyone knows if there is any authorized service center in eastern region. I contacted Alienware UK and they regretted as the system is out of warranty.

It's been 6 years and you have still not received a response. I had the same question.
Now I realize that Dell does not care about its customers abroad. They've purposefully made it difficult for us to contact them. As far as I know they still do not have an authorized service center here in Riyadh, KSA. This is the last time I'll ever buy a dell product. Horrible support...

Hello all, my Yoga tab died 2 days ago.I have tried everything I could think but it simply gives no response.Even plugging the charger (which works) does not light up the charging light. Fortunatelly, my tablet is still in warranty (for 2 more months!). So I was trying to find out where to give the tablet for a repair. I live at Porto, Portugal. The website does not find any places. Any ideas? Thank youps: I have bought the tablet at Greece. Worst case scenario I can take it there in a month. I was hoping though to solve the problem earlier.

My son was given a laptop for his birthday last year and it has a cracked hinge. 
After much research I've learned that this is a very common problem in this laptop. We called customer care center 2 different times and stayed on the phone for at least an hour each time. We were told a box would be sent out for repair. His laptop was still under the 1yr warranty at this time. 
Today, we called again to get some answers and they have no record of us calling. (Surprise, surprise!) We still have not received any return box and his warranty has now, of course, expired. 
I will never purchase another Dell product again in my life! Also I'll warn everyone I know to stay far away from your products. 

A 16 yr old kid has a "new" computer that he uses a stack of books to prop the screen to use his $400 laptop! (because of a cheap screws and plastic casing)
This is unacceptable and shame on you Dell!

I am getting this error, whenever I try to connect to server from Hyper-V, I choose local server then I get this message

Check that the Virtual Machine Management service is running and that you are authorized to connect to the server.
In the services, I don't have this service... What should I do...?

A:Check that the Virtual Machine Management service is running and that you are authorized to connect to the server

Here is the solution
1-make sure turn on virtual platform on bios
2- from turn windows features on or off expand hyper-v and enable hyper-v platform (Must)
3- restart your machine it should be working without problem.

So far, I must have sent at least 200 requests, asking for the email service to be stopped. This has been done via an automatic link in each email which they call their 'Express[Sic] Unsubscribe Service', to washingtonpost.com.

Recently however, I have resorted to replying to their emails, by including terse unsubscribe request messages, directed at the 'Washington Post', and specifically addressed to the Desks of that newspaper's Ombudsman [who is actually a woman], the National [US] Editor, and the Foreign [rest of Mother Earth's Nations] Editor. The 'Breaking News Alert' is also included as part of the email.

So where does that get me? Absolutely nowhere!! Not a peep, nor a whimper......let alone any acknowledgement of my emails. The 'Breaking News Alert' is still being sent on an almost daily basis, and being directed immediately into my Junk Mail Folder. I am now sick and tired of this whole affair, and wish to be rid of this subscription, once and for all.

What I want to know is this......Is there some form of Federal Regulatory Authority in the USA that I can refer this saga to, as a matter of complaint? All I want is for the Washington Post ... Read more

Hi all,

I posted earlier about downloading the fake XP service centre and it turned out to be a virus. I was asked to post things here differently so I apologise if I've done this wrong again. I used the DDS download and got the following information.

Any help would be much appreciated because I really don't know what I'm looking for.

I currently use AVG Free Edition, Spybot search & Destroy and Spyware Terminator. I've uploaded the two documents that opened up after I ran the DDS. One is pasted below the other is attached.

Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from here to your desktop. Double click the exe file. If asked to allow gmer.sys driver to load, please consent .
If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan...click on NO.



Click the image to enlarge it


In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Uncheck the following ... IAT/EAT
Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically C:\)
Show All (don't miss this one)

Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "Gmer.txt" or it will save as a .log file which cannot be uploaded to your post.

i have issues regarding my keyboard,speaker and cooling fan so i decided to get a servicing and replacement for the keyboard.but the service centre guy took 3 weeks for all the replacements and warranty renewal and i still didnt got the bill.its been a month whenver i used to ask him about the bill he told me he will mail me and after few days he stopped taking my calls.I paid him with a amount of rs.8000 for a 6 month warranty renewal.plus after getting my laptop back some issues started like bluetooth not working at all.i dont know where to contact.help me out with the bill

Can anyone assist where i am supposed to raise a complaint about the service received from HP UK.   I called about a laptop ne laptop not working, issues with software no longer used by HP for encryption. causing issues, also battery, and not forgetting keyboard. Raised the call, told there is a warranty issue. After a couple of days, claim accepted. HP collected laptop, told, they would check all the issues and restore to the upgraded windows 10 version, please include power adapter, but not stylus, SIM or lead. this was promptly picked up a couple of days later I requested the laptop be redelivered to a different address ad i only work at the collect point one a week, this was agreed to. Laptop return (wrong address)Power adapter missingWrong version of windows installed. Called them to ask about power adapter and to raise concerns about the other issues.  the software and wrong place was ignored.  but put through to the Laptop repair team Gentleman asked me to look in the box to make sure it was not in there, I confirmed the ?empty box? didn?t have a power adapter. Advised he will need to raise an investigation, will i get a call to confirm about the power adapter, because it cannot be charged in the meantime. Yes was the response before end of the day and no i didn?t get the call, and overnight the original call was closed, and no information about the adapter, so my square paperweight has ... helloOnce i restored windows7 the wi-fi broked poor and bad service despite the computer is close to the router or wirless network .although i installed all the drivers and upgrade to windows 10 but i still have the same problem. so i hope someone can help me with this and thanks

Hi,

hope you can help me...i have just noticed that my security centre isnt working. When i go to control panel, double click security centre i get the following:

"The security centre is currently unavailable because the security centre service has not started or has stopped. Please close this window, restart the computer (or start the security centre service) and then open security centre again."

The thing is when i restart it never works. I have tried going to control panel/admin tools/services and looking for security centre...it isnt there. The only option i have in that list with the word "Security" is Security Accounts Manager.

I noticed my security centre wasnt working because my little brother has a new computer, i installed all windows updates and SP2, put AVG anti virus on it etc etc.. and windows was informing him when the antivirus definitions were out of date, my computer doesnt do that. i dont know whats happened, i remember i use to log into security centre fine ages ago as i turned the XP firewall off and i had the big green radio lights and windows firewall etc.. now it says its unavailable, but underneath that message im still able to manage settings for internet options/automatic updates/and windows firewall.

How can i start the security centre service if i dont even have the security centre option in control panel/admin tools/services????

I had mailed my complaint on 20th july Case id 4775492341.My laptop is currently under warranty.I was alloted onsite visit on 21st july 2016. which was promised to be attended within 48 hours.  I have been calling everyday since. I have written emails via your website and also to the service head.I am told that my complaint will be addressed, but i have not recieved any service till date. I am extremely disappointed with the service provided! Not only there is delay from your side, but also you do not respect your costumers time!! What more do I need to do to get my laptop fixed!

Worst service ever seen. MB changed 2 times within 2 weeks and after service they are saying now it's Battery issue and battery cost is 9k. Said by support Engineer- Either pay this money and get the battery, or pick the laptop and take it another service centre.Everyday im getting call from different team member from Lenovo service center and everyday im explaining same issues. It's been around 3 weeks and still Lenovo are unable to figure out an answer to my queries and issues. And team Lenovo is confused about price of battery themselves too. Pathetic customer service and response from Lenovo India and Lenovo Service centre as well.

Hi I would like to convey my disgust at the level of customer service offered by Dell ' customer service'.
I personally own a DELL XPS desktop for business use and have endless problems with video card issues, this I manage ok with except for the occasional freezing and crashing. I purchased DELL due to the rave reviews. I also have a LENOVO laptop which had an issue with a hinge problem. I contacted LENOVO and even though 2 years out of warranty this was repaired. Apparently a known problem.
I have just found out that my son (who suffers from mental health issues) has exactly the same hinge problem with his DELL XPS 13 9343. He has contacted Dell Email Support and basically been informed the unit is out of warranty, It has now got to the stage that the laptop no longer connects to the internet as the problem has caused the wiring to break to the WIFI card. There is a casting inside (next to the hinge) that has broken. Unfortunately the email sent from DELL asks him to ring thereby assuming he can TALK ON THE PHONE. Unfortunately his illness prevents him from doing this. I have only just got involved when I saw him trying to effect a repair to enable him to get on the internet.
Surely DELL must have some other form of discussing issues whether in or out of warranty. People may be impaired in some way from making telephone calls !

Hello.  Can anyone provide me with the contact information to escalate an issue I am having with the Lenovo Customer Service?  I have a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 3rd generation.  I have had to send in my X1 Carbon for repair on three different occassions.  I have had to call technical support on at least 4 different ocaissons which has provided little help.  The first time I had to send it in the screen needed to be fixed and the computer was overheating, causing the fan to run very loud and at very high RPMs.  I received the computer back from repair.  The screen was fixed, although they left several streaks on the screen from what looked like an attempt to clean it.  They replaced the fan and yet it continued to overheat and the fan was running loud and fast.  I called tech support.  This was a terrible experience.  They opened a new case ID and had me send it in again.  I sent it in a second time.  I received the computer back.  The repair summary stated the motherboard was replaced.  However, it continues to over heat, causing the fan to run loud and fast.  In addition to this issue I also noticed that the repair facility had left scratches on the lid of my less than 6 month old X1 carbon and they managed to damage the keyboard.  I called technical support and they opened up yet another case ID and had me send it in for repair for a third time.  Now it has been over 3 weeks and I still... Hello all has Anyone got any ideas about this one. Have a problem at the moment with windows7 pro 32bit
Keep getting the warning flag with the red cross left bottom screen saying security centre turned off
Go to turn it on and get a message The windows security center service can't be started .
If I go to services and go to the security center i find it disabled restart it but after a few seconds it's back to disabled again
Have run malwarebyts in safe mode and got 8 problems cleared them up but still no go
When it first happened is was getting redirected IM results and it has stoped me doing a system restore
after malwarebyts run i don't get the redirects but still no restore and still not able to start security center
I Think thay i have got rid of the main problem but still left some problems in the reg. or have a rootkit
I did try rkill then dtss rootkit remover that did show results but then blue screens me.
Any ideas any one ?

Sir Most painfully I want to inform you that, my printer mentioned above in the product name is malfunctioned. I visited at our local service centre  "Advantage" Hospital Road Silchar, for reapairing the same. They charged 550 rupees as servicing charge & they assured me that after Servicing the said printer will perform the job. but sir till now my printer is not working , printed page shows dropout malfunction.
