Hi,I purchase Lenovo flex 3 model last year online from lenovo site. Somehow in few months i started getting touch screen/cursor hanging problems in laptop. I called up customer care and try to resolve the issue.They suggested me to do factory reset and try once more.I did factory reset, but issue still persist.Next I debugged the issue with technician online and he asked me to send the machine to repairing center.After 3 weeks I received my machine again factory reset and problem of touchscreen didn't solved at all.Then I again called up technician and asked for refund on 8th December, somehow after multiple follow ups i got a call from CRM Crystal1 holeman and she still didn't agreed to refund and suggested me for another chance of repair. As I already told them that i am moving out of country on December27/28, I want everything to be solved by then.Some how looking at the parts unavailability and my stay in country, she agreed for refund. Thankful to her for that.Now she asked me to send the lenovo laptop to return center with shipping label lenovo had provided. It reached to Lenovo return center on Dec 16th. And same day she agreed to process the refund. She told me that it may take upto 3-5 business days to process the refund. Crystal1 responds very rarely and this looks annoying to me to get my answers.I am still trying to follow up with her to get transaction number to track how far has my refund being processed. Still waiting for my money in my account. Looking at other people responses on this forum regarding refunds. I am now afraid, Will I get my money refunded or not. Please please please help me out. Its was my hard earned money. Please help me getting my refund.I am really frustated with lenovo services this time. I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I have contacted lenovo customer service for so many times regarding the repeating issues that I have with my bluetooth connection on my THINKPAD A475 device. I got my wireless card replaced for 3 times in 2 weeks already and also a keyboard replacement due to the cracking noise and stuck "TAB" key. The problem keeps happening even 3 times of on-site repair and also the keyboard they replaced for me also got problems already, the space key will register two times and the "BACKSPACE" , "ENTER", "SHIFT" are all making weird  cracking noise and they all feel completely different to other keys. I told them that I will not want to repaire and I want a full refund or replacement of new model that I prefer if I have the same problems again for the fourth time. I am completely frustrated  because they keep telling me that they will not refund me or replace my laptop if I cannot show them the tax invoice or receipt of purchase of this laptop. I told them that I do not keep it anymore  and they can send someone here to come  and pick up this laptop as it has serial number and all that. But still they refuse to do so and keep going back to the same question and answer and passing me to other customer service advisers.  I am tired of this infinite troubleshooting and my workflow has been completely ruined by this laptop. I was in the middle of wathing a College lecture and the audio suddenly cut out. The video kept playing but there was no sound. I did not hit a button or touch anything. All of the audio volume controls are on and nothing is muted.I thought that it was maybe just my colleges site. I am extremely disappointed at Lenovo's manufacturing quality and its customer service. This is my first Lenovo laptop I ever bought, and it may be the last depending on a satisfactory resolution to my problem.On 01/31/2017, I reported that a Lenovo Flex3 exhibited a burning smell accompany by periodic electrical sparks I saw from the back of the computer while charging the battery. I immediately pull the plug out of the computer, but the problem persisted for another 2 hours until the battery was apparently completely discharged. For fear of fire, I took the computer to work afraid of losing my home to electrical fire (I could no longer trust that computer).More disappointing were the false promises I received from customer service saying that my case will be escalated, and I should receive a call within 3 days for further instructions. Three business days passed without any response from Lenovo, which I found unprofessional considering the gravity of the situation.On the fourth day I called customer services again, and I heard the exactly same story that my case has been escalated, and that I should receive a phone call within 24 hours (broken record). I have seen other complains in this forum concerning bad services that took up to four months for a satisfactory resolution. Hi,I sent my Y700 for depot repair after it started malfunctioning, and they could not repair even after two weeks and hence approved my case for a refund. They said the refund will take a week and someone will get in touch. Now, it has been close to 4 weeks, no one has contacted. Everytime I contact the customer care , they mention the machine is in service center still and it needs to reach the warehouse before they can issue refund but they cannot answer why it is taking time.Now, they have closed the service ticket and expired the warranty of the product(still 2 months were left) and the case manager is not even replying to the emails.Should I consider taking legal action against lenovo ?I have all the case number and refund approval mails.

(posted in wrong place previously) In December, my laptop starting resetting itself (still in warranty). Its now May, and Lenovo are still refusing to give me a refund or a replacement. I feel I've been very understanding and patient at all the slow failed attempts to deal with the problem, but I'm completely fed up now. I'm a student, so having a reliable laptop is obviously really helpful, but I've spent many weeks of this year without a laptop whilst Lenovo have tried to repair it, and the rest of the time I've had a laptop that resets without warning which means I sometimes lose work even though I save my work regularly and back it up.  In January, it was sent to be repaired, they replaced the hard drive, but the problem still kept happening when it came back in February. In February, it was sent to be repaired again. They couldn't replicate the problem so claimed it was working fine (even though I had sent evidence that it wasn't fine, each reset left reports in the reliability monitor about bug report 124 and that it was a hardware error). So they sent it back unchanged after several weeks. Lenovo told me if the problem was still happening that they would refund or replace it.However, when I reported it still did happen, they said actually it was Lenovo's policy that there must be three failed repairs before they would do that.So in March I sent it off again to be repaired, this time they acknowledged again there was a fault, but they just repla... Personally, my experience has always been good but security software behaves different with each computer. Whether or not you can receive a refund is probably a case by case basis in which only they can have a sure answer.

Hello,First of all, sorry for my english.Ive a HP Dv7 4073ca with broken case (i dont know if its the right term in english. its the plastic external body of the notebook). Ive tried to open the notebook, and when pressed to eject the keyboard, from a button close to the battery, the notebook just crack close to the air vents.An info tech told me its a problem in something close to the hinge, and because of the material (thin plastic) its difficult to fix. So the best bet would be change all the case.But its complicated to find a used one of this exactly model. I find one of the model 4073nr. I would like to know if this case would fit all the hardware of the 4073ca.Visually, they look the same. The specs say the 4073nr have a better processor, and less HD space.So, what do you think? The case of 4073nr would replace the case of 4073ca perfectly?Thanks

I am looking for the actual part number for the bottom outside cover of a HP Envy m7 17" Notebook. The product number is M1W07UA#ABA and a search of that product reveals that it is an m7-n101dx. Howver I cannot find a link on HP site to locate the actual part number of the bottom cover. It is aluminum molded around plastic. I accidently laid my elbow on it and dented and cracked it. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I have seen some used ones on ebay but I want to make sure I get the right part before buying or bidding on one since i will be stuck with it once I buy it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Bought my laptop one month ago and yesterday it black screened and is just a paperweight now. Lonovos only solution to selling defective computers is to repair them. What I couldn't get them to understand is that I don't want a broken and repaired laptop, that's not what I paid for. I paid for a no defective computer. You cant give me a broken machine that you band-aided for the same price as a new machine. I just want a replacement or my money back. I feel as if I'm getting screwed over big time here, and that's not how a company should do business. Don't sell me a lemon and then offer to fix it. I didn't want a lemon in the first place. I want what I paid for, a fully functional non defective machine. Lenovo refuses and is keeping the money. Lesson learned.

Hello all - first time poster on this forum.

I have a bust up fairly old Intel Celeron 600mhz laptop which could do with a new case/shell (not a bag, it needs the equivalent of a new desktop tower) but I don't know where to find one. I believe this is just a clone of similar laptops made around the same time and the model number is 6133. I was wondering if anybody knew somewhere I could purchase replacement shells/cases and if they stocked a case for this computer.

Everything on the laptop works fine except for a dodgy monitor cable (which would be fixed by moving everything into the new shell) so I don't intend to sell it for parts. I'm also quite experienced in fiddling with computers (my dad's a PC engineer so I've picked up quite a bit from him) and he is willing to help me get this laptop into tip top condition again.

I was also wondering if it would be possible to upgrade the motherboard and processor. At the moment it's a 600mhz intel celeron but I'd rather go with an AMD athlon of some sort as I believe them to be generally better. If anybody knows where I can purchase laptop motherboards to fit certain needs any help there would be gladly appreciated (am looking for a socket A motherboard). If the upgrade to Athlon is not possible I would like to know what the upgradability of my current motherboard is - I shall be looking inside the laptop within the next few days and can probably provide a number for it.

Have you contacted the Manufacturer regarding replacement parts? That's where I would start.

BUT to be honest, although you do not give all the specs of the PC, I'd be willing to bet that you could replace the whole thing with a new laptop cheaper than replacing parts like case, MOBO, Processor, RAM, and HD !!!

So unless there is some "sentimental value", like the case broke stopping a bullet shot at you by terrorists...I'd shop for a new unit.

Both The Google and Lenovo Support's search by MT-M feature think that is a ThinkPad Edge E525.  Does that seem reasonable?

BTW, the "CTO" part of the MT-M indicates it was a "configure to order" machine so some of the specs may vary within the "1200" model range.

hello everybody i am having another problem with my windows updates! it says that i never updated windows, i have had the Lenovo pc for a little bit more than a year. so the problem is when i try manually updating windows, one or a couple of programs download, and the others are stuck!! i used lenovo solution center program from my desktop and i always thought that the computer updated automatically!

also, from lenovo updates program on my desktop, i get an error message! it says network problem and it does not do anything. theres another message though saying that updates were made on the 2015-06-26

I've seen the other thread on the Flex3 'black screen' issue, and I'm not sure that it's the same problem I have - though the symptoms and failure mode are the exact same. Edit: The screen goes blank, no more sound / network activity / signs of life beside the screen. Sometimes the laptop appears in the same state when opening the lid. At this point, I've tried:Factory reset using the Windows reset functionCheck forums. I would strongly suggest downloading your mainenance manual and looking at the available parts (CPU's) to see if any are listed.  Also - the manual will walk you thru what is needed for the upgrade process if applicable.
