Intel 830M Graphics Controller TV-Out Problem

Q: Intel 830M Graphics Controller TV-Out Problem

I have a Gateway Solo 1450 with Intel 830M graphics controller which is supposed to have the TV-Out function. I hooked up a VGA converter to a S-Video cable and put that input into my tv. I adjusted the display of the graphics to allowing my notebook to be placed on the other "monitor." In the Intel directions, it says to go into the Graphics Properties and select "TV". However, even with the tv connected I don't see this icon. So I chose the multiple monitors option and allowed my notebook to be seen on the other monitor which is really the tv. I tried it on 2 tv's both on the s-video channel. However, neither has a usable signal and remains blank. One of my tv's picture did jiggle around a slight bit when I adjusted things on the settings portion but there was no picture besides a blue screen. I've tried every setting I can imagine to change on the computer and the tv. I know my s-video cable works and the adapter is new so I don't think it's that. Anyone who can tell me how to fix this is my hero

Preferred Solution: Intel 830M Graphics Controller TV-Out Problem

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

xp or vista - what movie player are you using
what file type is the movie .avi, wmv etc..

Well, anyway.
More than likely you need a codec to play the file

if you are using vista

if you are using XP

download which codec pack matches your system and install using all the default settings it offers, with these codecs you will be able to play all your video and audio files without a problem

Ok, i don't know which forum this would be better posted in: hardware or games... but heres my problem:

I'm borrowing a computer for the time being so i can finish the one i'm working on. I've been playing WoW on this computer and everything has been fine. No problem with the graphics what so ever. I decided to find an in-game video recording program so i can record special events which would be cool to post online or w/e. So i was having problems with that and i was informed that my graphics driver was outdated (I never updated it). So i went to Intel's website and downloaded the latest and only driver there is for it. Now WoW is really messed up. Icons are gone, graphics are being all weird... and worst of all, the memory is dumped whenever i do certain things... Here are 2 examples that have resulted in a crash: completion of a quest and clicking on another tab inside the talent tree window... other random things also create a crash... I've had more crashes than i can count on my hands. All video settings in-game are turned all the way down or off (if applicable). Refresh rate is turned down to 60Hz. I've tried playing in windowed mode and not... tried playing with different dimensions... true color, high color... The only thing that made a little difference was the refresh rate. I tried rolling back the driver but it only rolls back to the same one. I might have reinstalled because i didn't know if it worked or what not since i... Read more

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 660-4858. Service tag-number JPYXD5J. It originally came with W7, but I installed Vista Ultimate x64 on it. Now there are several drivers not working (when looking in device manager). I managed to solve most of them but there are still two I can not solve:

1. Network Controller. On Dell's website there are only drivers for W7 when looking up this device. According to the UKD ("UnknownDevices") software, the details for this device are:
Atheros Communications Inc
Dell Computer Corp
However, on Dell's website it appears to call the WLAN adapter (which I assume this 'network controller' is?) Dell DW1506 WLAN 802.11 b/g/n . Version of that driver is, A01, but it's only for Windows 7.
Any suggestions how I should find the latest driver for this device, for Vista??

2. Intel(R) HD Graphics Family (Dell's driver site calls it "Intel Graphics Controller" and "Intel UMA driver"). I actually did download drivers for this, supposedly for Vista. However, not thru Dell's site (they only have the driver for W7 and W8). But still there is an exclamation mark next to it in device manager, and every time I turn the computer on, this message is displayed on the icon tray:
Incompatible display adapter has been disabled.
At least one display adapter on the system has been disabled because its driver is not compatible with the driver for the VGA adapter.

I have windows XP Home edition with a Dell Dimension 3000 desktop, and I have been having a problem with the Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller driver, it won't update. I downloaded an alternate driver updater (drivermax) to see if that would work, but after I downloaded, there were a lot of errors so I rolled back. I went to the intel website to download it manually, but the downloads are not what I need. I looked all over for an alternate mirror or anything that I could download it from, but I couldn't. I suppose I don't need the driver as everything is working fine as is, but I would like it. Thanks.

I'm having trouble installing the drivers for a Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller in Windows 7 on a Gateway/Motion Computing M1300 tablet.

Before you say "DriverMax" please note that Windows 7 is the only operating system installed on the tablet. I hope there's another way to get it working.

Here's the thing that strikes me as odd: I have gotten it to work perfectly, but as soon as I restart it goes back to its old ways (default VGA controller driver, etc).

Here's what I do to get it working:

1) I run the setup file that came with the driver I downloaded from Intel (version 14.19.50), either natively or in Windows XP compatibility mode,
2) The setup software asks me to restart, and I comply

When the computer boots back up after those steps everything is working just fine, BUT then a Windows prompt appears telling me that I need to restart in order to complete the driver configuration. When I restart hardware once again has trouble.

Here are some screenshots that took while the driver was working correctly:

Why does it say that it will uninstall the drivers when restarted?

And here are some screenshots taken while the driver is NOT working correctly:

My real problem with not having the correct driver installed is not that display functions are lost (though they are), but that the Hibernate and Stand By modes are disabled.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a way to keep Windows 7... Read more

I have this problem too. Because it defaults back to "standard VGA" when I watch video it is very "liney", in other words, not the full shilling.

No matter what I do I simply cannot convince Win7 that my driver, (exported using Drivermax), is the correct one and that is the one I want Win7 to use.

After clean installing Windows 10 version 1607 build 14393  I got the following in the updates history :

Intel Corporation driver update for Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
both failed to install nevertheless other updates and cumulative software were installed successfully .
In the Device Manager I find those drivers installed in their places but for the first there is no way I can know whether I have the latest version or not.
Plus there are some more pci bridges which when they get updated from the Device Manager they change name and move upwards .
How do I handle this? Shall I force update all those drivers in the System Devices category or just leave everything as it is now in the screenshot?

I just installed the Intel GMA 500 graphics controller on my Viliv S10. It had been running the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, which didn't detect the screen's actual resolution but instead ran it at a slightly lower and distorted resolution. At the lower resolution running the basic display adapter I could scroll through the windows metro start screen and experience no flicker. Since installing the GMA 500 graphics controller I now can set the proper screen resolution but the start screen flickers when I scroll right or left and when the active tiles in the start screen refresh content, and when pinching to zoom on start screen.
I tried lowering the resolution to see if that was the issue, but I still experience flicker even at very low resolution. I also tried raising the screen brightness to the fullest extent (I saw this as a fix for flicker elsewhere) but the screen still flickers.

I haven't seen any screen flicker in desktop mode, except when toggling apps by dragging from left to right using the touch screen. Aero peek doesn't cause flicker nor does dragging an open window around the desktop. No flicker dragging open the right side information bar in desktop mode either.

I have Acer 1.6 GHz 512 mb 400 fsb ram with Intel 82852/82855 GM/ GME Chipset having Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphic Controller driver version which came along the laptop driver CD is (Intel Extreme Graphics), resolution 1024 x 768, 32 bit.

Problem is when I updated this driver with new (not sure about this last no. but it is the latest which comes with Intel Extreme Graphics2), my screen streches, I cannot see the status bar, like one can do with any monitor by streching its horizontal to full.

Yesterday I installed Vista, by default it has this updated/latest driver for Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphic controller, and gives me the same problem (SCREEN STRECHING). I tried updating the driver in Vista to the old one which works, after reboot everything works fine but the problem is as soon as Vista loaded it automatically changes this driver to its default latest and asks for reboot and again the same problem of screen streched horizontically.

Please help me, I dont know what to do, if it is possible to permanently apply the old driver in vista. But the question remains why its streching when everything is the same except the updated version of the driver.

Please need expert's advise, I request all the experts to help me out.

Hello there, DBone. it could be an error, nothing to worry about.

But if it's messing around with your head, you could just uninstall the driver and install the latest version from the intel website. or your manufacturer's website

Most likely is a mis-reading. if the used space on the HDD hasn't change (besides from the SP1 files), then everything is alright.

A:Intel HD Graphics Driver Problem.

Hi, You can get around the restriction imposed by the oem graphics package by manually installing the Intel Graphics driver as follows. First, download the latest Intel HD4600 driver for your notebook from the link below and save it to your Downloads folder - you need the first option ( ie win64_154025.4463.zip ).  Note:  If you wish to install a different driver version from Intel, the method is still the same. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26079/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?... When done, download and install the .64bit version of 7-Zip on the link below. http://www.7-zip.org/ When you've installed 7-Zip, open your Downloads folder, right click on the win64_154025.4463.zip package, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok. Cut this newly extracted folder and paste it on your Desktop so it's easy to find. When done, hold down the Windows key and press R Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. In Device Manager, expand Display adapters, right click the Intel 4600 device and select 'Update Driver Software'. In the following window, select 'Browser my computer for driver software' and then select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. In the next window, click the 'Have Disk' button and then browse to the extracted Intel win64_154025.4463 folder you pasted on your Desktop. Browse into the sub-folder Graphics, left click on t... I'm guessing it's just the difference in the two drivers that doesn't let it work with this one, so has anybody figured out how to get that particular driver working in Windows 8 or have any idea how to?

I have a new dell dimension dim3000 pentium 4 computer that had an Intel 82865G Graphics Controller, and I wanted a newer and better graphics card. I disabled the old card and installed an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 (PCI)graphics card. While every game works, they are all often a bit choppy no matter what the resolution/system memory, etc... I noticed that under the add/remove programs, the Intel Extreme Graphics 2 driver is still listed there. Do I have to remove this, and will this also help improve my graphics? If this isn't a source of the problem, let me know and I can post my DXdiagnostic. Thanks for the time of anyone looking at this.

sidenote- Since it is a PCI graphics card, does it matter that the AGP texture acceleration in DirectX is turned on?

A:intel graphics problem after installing win 10

gokul17 Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums! The Win10 Upgrade tool does a poor job of detecting PCs with multiple graphics chipsets (like yours) and, as a result, is unable to install the proper drivers for those chipsets to work.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem you're up against is that Microsoft only supplies drivers with the most basic functionality, and what you really need for FULL functionality in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific hardware found in laptops -- and unfortunately, there are no HP Win10 drivers for your laptop. However, for MS-supplied drivers that aren't working well, you could consider using HP Win8 drivers -- although there's no guarantee that those drivers will work. Here's the link to the HP Product drivers and software page for Win8 for your PC:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-e000-Notebook-PC-series/5355006/model...If that page does not show Win8x when you open it, then click CHANGE and select Windows 8x using the pulldown. You might have to install the drivers using compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/Good Luck

Problem: Intel HD Graphics keeps on crashing right after installation "Intel HD Graphics has stopped responding and has recovered error".I had this error when I recently upgraded my RAM to 4gb (original RAM was 2gb), but it did not start directly to crash. I was thinking that the upgrade was successful because it did not proceed to give me errors but it only started a few minutes right after I was playing DOTA 2 on my laptop. Right after then it kept crashing not when I was playing games but when I boot up my laptop the screen will turn black with a cursor and the computer beep of Windows 10 notification sound that something has been attached then ejected much like a flashdrive inserted and ejected.I have tried the following before writing my dilemma here:Tried system restoreMade a clean installInserted my old RAMTried the TdrDelay registry tweak (to no avail)I can fully use my laptop normally when I either disable the installed INTEL HD GRAPHICS or uninstall it and use Microsoft Display Adapter.I really need to install the Intel HD graphics driver without problems because since a graphics card helps a lot in the performance of a computer.PS: My laptop only has 1 slot for RAM.LAPTOP MODEL: Acer Aspire ES1-431-P1SHRAM used for upgrade: http://www.lazada.com.ph/kingston-value-ram-4gb-1600mhz-pc3-12800-ddr3l-135v-non-ecc-cl11sodimm-1rx8...

I've purchased a new computer, namely an i3 540 on a Gigabyte H55M-S2H, without a dedicated graphics card. When I install Intel's drivers and restart (no matter which driver, I've tried them all, from both GB and Intel) Instead of my desktop I will get a black screen after the windows (7 64bit pro) logo at startup.

Thanks for any help!

I am having a problem with my Intel 82852/82855 graphics card drivers. this started when I tried to update the driver. I downloaded the driver, and tried to update it by unzipping the file, and going to device manager, selecting the device, selecting update driver, and specifying the location. it worked pretty well, but right at the end of the proccess, where the bar was almos full, it stopped. the wizard told me that there had been an error while installing my hardware; "the specified file could not be found." however, I didn't see a file specified anywhere! also, after this, my video card, (or cards, I'm not sure; device manager shows two had the little yellow circle with and exclamation mark near it. I tried this several times, completely unninstalling the drivers from the add/remove program lists. I've even tried it with an older driver, but I get the same message. Please help me: I'm pretty desperate!

Hello, I have an Intel R HD graphics problem with a Lenovo 50-30. Originally it was windows 8.1 but has been upgraded to Windows 10. Windows has stopped the device because  it has reported problems code 43. I have followed the Microsoft instructions for uninstalling and reinstalling the device but this is not fixing the problem. Help would be greatly appreciated.
