Preferred Solution: My Lenovo yoga 720 12ikb touch screen suddenly stopped working.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi everyone, I've been searching for the solution for this one by Google-ing many many articles on the Internet, I tried all of them but all failed. My 12IKB currently runs the Windows 10 Home version 1809, I also installed all latest drivers on Lenovo support page (here: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-720-12ikb/download...) but the touch screen still doesn't work. Back when the first time I brought it home from the store, it worked but after installing windows update, touch screen didn't work anymore. Some articles told that the issue came from incompatible BIOS with the new windows update. I've noticed that Lenovo just released the new BIOS, I installed but nothing changed. So, could anyone please help me on this?

Hello,  So I?ve had a Lenovo Yoga 720-15IKB Laptop for about a year now with no problems until now. Yesterday the touchscreen worked fine and today it does not work. I have tried the following:1) shutting down the computer both through the start menu as well as by holding down the power button.2) going to safe mode in which the touchscreen is still unresponsive 3) checked for update on the HIM touch screen driver. It states I have the most up to date driver and that the driver is working properly.4) I disabled and then reenabled the driver and nothing.5) I installed ?driver easy? and scanned drivers. It states I have the most updated driver and that it is working fine. Touchscreen still not working. Everything else seems to be functioning fine. ie keyboard, keypad etc.

I got a new Lenovo Yoga 520 notebook a few days ago - initially everything was working fine, however now when I switch it into tablet mode the touch screen is completly unresponsive. I have done all the Lenovo system updates and windows 10 is up to date.  Has anyone experienced a simular issue and knows how I can fix this? Its still under warranty but I would prefer to try and fix myself if possible.

Hi All I have Yoga 720 12 IKB ideapad, both touchscreen and fingerprint stopped working after aupgrading windows 10 pro. However, I was able to restore the fingerprint functionality but not the touch. When I took the laptop to one of the Lenovo agents in Kuala Lumpur he noticed (Which i did not notice before) that there is a Yellow box around the screen where the touch is working only out of the box and does not work inside this area. He asked for replacing the screen with just 1 month warranty which I simply refused. Any support here?

So out of nowhere, my 7737's touch screen has stopped responding to touch.  Mouse works just fine.  Device manager has the monitor driver listed as a "generic PnP monitor", which sounds suspicious... and under Human Interface drivers, there is nothing listed for touchscreens, just airplane mode ***...  I have restarted, driver updated, etc. to no avail.  Any ideas?

Hi everyone, I have a Lenovo X220 Tablet that has touch screen and pen. They suddenly stopped working today. The LCD screen still works pefectly fine, however. The touch screen is enabled on the touch settings. When I try to calibrate, it does not detect my finger or the pen. I also noticed that when I tried to reinstall the driver and it said "a supported tablet was not found on this system". I have the most recent bios. I am running Windows 7 that came with the laptop. All windows updates completed. Is it possible for the digitizer to be defective, but the LCD screen to work perfectly fine?Could it be just a ribbon failure?Which part would need to be replaced, if this is the case? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

A:X220 tablet touch screen suddenly stopped working

Even though it looks like a single device, it is really 3 separate ones.  There is a basic panel.  There is a static discharge digitizer in the front to sense finger touches.  There is a second Wacom digitizer behind the panel to detect the pen.  Any of them can fail.  The wires in the cable can also crack.  Since both digitizers failed, I would first look in device manager to see if there could be a problem with a USB hub.  (digitizers both connect as USB devices.)  My next guess would be the cable.  Sorry I cannot be more definite.

ISSUEThe 720 touchpad and touchscreen are the worst.  This issue started out of the box before I had even gone on line.  When the touchpad does work, the right click/left click distinction doesn't work and I have to use the screen, when it's working, for the long hold until the right click options appear. When the screen is working, the ability to close a window and touching it just the right way is dubious at best.  I've tried modifying sensitivity, etc, in the control panel, but there is no difference.   When both window and touchpad stop functioning, I plug in an old HP mouse I have, but when I'm mobile, this means running the mouse down my leg if I don't have a surface to place my laptop upon.  And it also means carrying a mouse with me everywhere I go.  My line of work is often standing and walking with clients so  not really possible in my line of work.   RETURN/REPAIR OPTIONS AREN'T OFFERED OR ARE NOT PRACTICALTo back up a bit, I attempted to return this to BestBuy, but was four days beyond the allowable return date.  I contacted Lenovo, but it's all about mailing it in or turning the laptop over and being without anything for a few days.  Hard to find those few days.  I've tried to live it, but it's been an enormous killer of productivity, not to mention incredible frustration and some embarrsassing typos.    PAST YOGA BUILD WAS GREAT - WHAT WENT WRONG WITH THE 720?My last Yoga 710 wa... Hi there! Need help. Obviously. Hope people still look at this fourm... I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 1470 Laptop. Its...a few years old AND it is out of warrenty (so please no recommendations for sending it into Lenovo Repair Service). It is running the Windows 10 update, though it initally came with Windows 8.1  A few days ago I factory reset the computer to wipe it of all files and such. When the reset was finished it updated and reloaded itself with Windows 10. Everything seemed fine at first... HOWEVER, the touch screen is not responding to anything. I can fold the laptop into tablet mode, the physical keyboard will shut off but it will not respond to touches by any means. The Pen & Touch information in windows settings says that Pen & Touch are not available for this device. I have checked the drivers and the HID-Compliant Driver is NOT THERE (it was at first but it was greyed out and gave me a code 45).  Tent mode also doesn't work. I can flip the computer over, and Auto -Rotate will appear on the screen but the screen never flips. I have searched high and low on Google and Lenovo but perhaps I am missing something, a driver update or ...anything. Hello. After months without trouble, one day, when I powered up my laptop, my touchscreen was acting weird, wouldn't let me enter my pin to log in, was like constantly clicking somewhere else, and touchpad was also not responding. After two restarts, there was nothing weird and touchpad was working fine, but the touchscreen wouldn't respond to touch, nor the pen. At this point, several restarts didn't make it work again. After installing a big windows update, the next restart made the touchscreen work just fine, but the pen was still not working. I shut down my laptop and, when I power it up the next time, the touchscreen is not working again. Now, my laptop is fully updated both on Windows Update and Lenovo Vantage, but the touchscreen and the pen are not working. Things I have tried without success:-Restarting several times.-Still not working in safe mode-Uninstalling all windows updates, testing it, and installing them all again.-Disabling and uninstalling the touchscreen and pen devices on Device Manager, and restarting so windows installs them again automatically.-Searching in google for a solution. My laptop still has warranty, but I'd hate to have it substituted for another for a software-related problem. Also, I do have a system image from many months ago that I could use to restore the system, but I'd prefer not to lose my current state if possible, but, of course, getting my touchscreen back has priority. I couldn't find anything clear on the many post... I just received my brand new ThinkPad L380 Yoga yesterday and went through all of the regular set up steps.  The touch screen worked when I first opened it, but then after Windows 10 finished installing, the touch screen and pen no longer worked.  I have done all of the troubleshooting I've found listed in the forums and on the website aside from sending it back, but it still doesn't respond to touch.  The change happened right after Windows 10 was finished updating.  Is there something I'm missing?  Do I need to get an external mouse to try to disable the touchpad?  I'd really like to avoid sending it back if possible.  I know it has to be something I did and I just don't realize it.

I bought my Yoga 530 less than a year ago.It used to work fine but every now and then a wild windows update appears and I lose the touch screen function. I have to go to a previous update every time to recover it, I've found no other way to solve it.This morning another update came in and as usual, I lost the touch screen. I tried to recover it, but it failed in the process so I've been forced to do a full recovery. After that, the touch screen is still not working. I tried to disable/enable the driver. There is no driver. I tried to update the laptop and the drivers via lenovo vantage, apparently it's perfectly updated. I tried with the web and the LSB. Nothing. I tried to reboot in safe mode. More nothing. After all my struggle I tried a factory reset. And still nothing. Basically it says that the screen is incompatible with the touch mode and the stylo which obviously isn't true.I've quite literaly tried every single solution I've found in the forums and I still have no real answer. The only thing remaining is to ask for a replacement.

Hi. Touch screen on my device is working from time to time. Mostly not working at all. It stops working after suspend/reboot. I can't understand what makes it work again. Sometimes you suspend/reboot again and it starts working, sometimes its not. The reason of this is I2C HID Device with status "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed." which is shown in Device Manager. When it doesn't have yellow warning icon - touch is working. What I tried: Windows Troubleshooter. It reinstalls driver. Doesn't help.Remove driver in Device Manager. Doesn't help. It restores automatically.Disable/Enable device. No luck.Install latest Lenovo updates (including BIOS, V.2JCN36WW) via Lenovo Companion. No luck.Install Windows updates. No luck. BTW, Creators update installed.Suspend/Restart. Helps in very rare cases around 1 of 10.

Hello, This is my first time posting, so please bear with me. A few days ago, the touch screen completely stopped working. I am also unable to rotate the screen. Navigating to the Device Manager, I see three I2C HID Device drivers, but one of them has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. When I click on it, I see the error: "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed." Disabling it does nothing, neither does uninstalling it - when they are reenabled or reinstalled, the error persists. There are no drivers that can be updated, and there is no way to roll back to a previous driver as I never updated these due to there being no problems. I assume this is a hardware issue, but I am not sure how to verify this or if there is anything else that can be done.  I have had quite a few problems with this machine, sending it out twice for the same problem and having the same problem occur for the third time (the power button does not work), but I am hoping this is something that is fixable.  Thanks!
