I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hello, first of all sorry for my bad englisch.Yesterday evening I updated my BIOS from the version 2.0 to the version number 2.04.After the update I had multiple problems with the laptop. The sound didn´t work anymore and the laptop was very slow and sometimes didn´t even react. So I decided to use the "system recovery" on windows to see if it that would help. A few problems were solved by resetting the system but I now have problems with the fan. The volume has increased by alot. I barely could hear the fan before the problems with my laptop started. I also have the fealing that the laptop is slower in generell then it used to be, since the BIOS-Update.I hope somebody can help me. with kind regards

Please check the screenshot.- I turned off the notebook, removed the cables and press the opening button for 30 seconds, and then plugged the cables in and restarted but no change.- Updated bios and no change.- No reached to battery as it is sealed. I am really disappointed and don't know what to do. I appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

I was using my computer like normal, when suddenly my bluetooth mouse stopped working. I try clicking on the bluetooth icon on the taskbar the bluetooth icon just dissapeared. When going to settings there is only the "bluetooth & other devices menu" and i try activating my devices through there - but it says bluetooth is turned off, and there doesn't seem to be a button to activate it again.I look through pretty much every settings menu but find nothing.I try googling some fixes (going through, Windows services, device manager etc.) but none of them work and even try to do a system restore of a week back, the bluetooth icon in the taskbar appeared again, although my devices still weren't working and simply hovering over it made it dissapear, again. I later tried downloading & installing the driver from here and it shows "Status: Installation not needed (No device for update present)  I'm not sure what the hell is going on i'd like some help. Hi, welcome to the forum.

What is the "Windows Device Manager" saying about the bluetooth device ?

Can you check if the bluetooth complete disapear from the list, or if it shows some yellow warning sign when the issue appear.

Please check which bluetooth model do you have installed, on the support site for your model there are two bluetooth drivers:
1) Bluetooth Driver (Liteon, Qualcomm) for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga 710-14IKB, Yoga 710-15IKB
2) Intel Bluetooth Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga 710-14IKB, Yoga 710-15IKB

Hey, my Yoga 710-14IKB is once again missing sound drivers after a windows update. I've navigated to http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/no/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-710-14ikb/downloads and located the latest audio driver for my laptop, which was released 20th of july in 2016. I've then installed the driver that I downloaded, restarted the PC, and still no audio drivers. I mouseover the sound icon in the Windows 10 task bar, and it says "No Audio Output device is installed". I right click this icon, select "playback devices" where I am greeted by the message "No audio devices are installed". I right click the text and ensure that both disconnected and disabled devices are shown, of which there are none. What do I do now? Edit: I've performed the system update scan on the same page as the driver downloads, and the only two drivers that are recommended that I install are "Connect2" and "Camera driver for Chicony - 10".

Hey, I have a problem with my sound. first of all, something happed after some kind of update, now the first 5 seconds of the song for example, it does not play, there is this delay. then I cant talk with skype of messenger because no one hears me and there is also a wind sound or something. the next problem is that the sound itself is really poor, when on less than 35 percent i cant hear a thing, i need to volume up and on 100, i wouldnt say it is that much loud. Anyone experienced the same? I only have my laptop for 2 months and I found more drawbacks than pluses...

Hey guys  Quick question here: Just oppened my new Yoga 520 today and I noticed somehting strange happening on the screen. From the  3 pictures below:-1st is how the desplay looks from a front angle. The only flickering/anomalies you will notice is from the camera limitaitons on my smarthpone.-2nd picture is where the issue is clear in the picture and morso with the naked eye. These humps become very noticeble when you view the screen from a side angle.-3rd picture is just to emphasize the outline on these humps which are more visable from what can be captured on my camera. Also, these anomalies stretch on the uppers side of the screen as well. Can anyone tell me what these are? If I should worry? If they are normal or of they will get worse, and if I should take the notebook the a lenovo shop to change something on the desplay? Thank you for your time!

Hello, my name is Daniel Demétrio and this is my first post on this forum. Recently i bought a Lenovo Yoga 710 14IKB. I absolutely love the laptop, and meanwhile i had some problems with the fan noise that i did manage to resolve using de Notebook Fan Control that was recomended on the forum, i still have other problem. My mouse pointer is constantly dissapering and reapearing, or just changes to a low resolution appearence. I've updated all the drivers, i tried all options of the mouse, i've seen a lot of tutorials or solutions, but still i got this problem.I don't think that the problem is related to the mouse or touchpad driver, i think is something related with the graphics card or something related. But i've made all the updates, and i also tried to reverse the updates, but still i it made no difference, i still have the problem.Anyone are having the same problem? Thanks a lot,Daniel Demétrio

So I haven't used my laptop for a week or so, and when I started it up a few days ago, the battery life turned from a solid 7+ hours to a mere 4 hours! I actually timed how long it took before the battery went down by 1% before this happened, so I did the same test after. When I tested it, for the first time, the battery went down 1% after 270 seconds(almost 5 minutes). Now it seems to lose the same amount of battery in a weak 140 seconds(just a little bit more than 2 minutes!). Can someone please help me find the cause and if I can fix it? I loved this laptop because of its excellent battery life.

Hello! I'm having a rotatation problem - the screen doesn't rotate itself automaticly on Win10 - I actually have to turn on and off the auto-rotate button to do the rotation - but it's not the cause right now.  After that I decided to update the BIOS in order to eliminate that problem (at least I hoped for that) - so I downloaded a file from Lenovo site (bacna0ww). It updated itself but it didn't actually turned off the computer (the closing screen turned on for a second and got back to my desktop), so I had to turn it off by myself. After that it got updated (shortly saying) and then the "boot menu" appeard with a boot device to choose - which is my SSD (nothing else). I can choose the device by clicking enter but nothing happens. Screen flickers for a moment and got back immiedietly to the same boot menu with a SSD to choose as a boot device.  I was able to boot it by setting "legacy boot" and turning off UEFI by it - but why it actually happend? Can I turn it back as it was before? I tried installing the older BIOS version (it installed with an automatic restart without a problem) but it didn't help. The "boot menu" on UEFI still appears and still holds me back, so I can't boot by simply choosing my SSD and clicking enter on it. Will you be able to help me? Moreover - the auto rotation still doesn't work.

Hi MichaelG4,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

There is only one port available to accommodate storage on this model.
Storage specification: M.2 slot,  2.5-inch, NGFF, 128 GB / 256 GB, SATA II/SATA III (Lenovo YOGA 710-14ISK/Lenovo YOGA 710-14IKB) (page 6 on the hardware manual)

On this model, an external USB SSD storage drive can be the most practical and useful tool for added files which is would also allow transferability to different work PC.

Hope this help answer your query.

Hi guys, I have no idea what's happening with my Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga S1 (it's about 3.5 years old, its warranty just expired). Every time I reboot, I get this weird message saying "Configuration changed, please reboot the machine...". I then proceed to reboot the machine and everything works but the bios options are always resetted! This makes the laptop extremely unusable for me as I always swap the fn/ctrl keys so that I don't have to learn a new keyboard every time I switch computers. If I go back and change the option, it works fine, but the next reboot it does the same message again and I have to reconfigure the bios at EVERY boot. I'm lucky this option is the only one I changed, otherwise someone that would have changed the boot order/graphics settings/passwords etc. would be in a much worst situation than me...At first this seemed like a typical bios battery being out of juice so that the config can't stay saved, but I've now changed the bios battery twice with new ones and this doesn't change anything... It's been working perfectly for 3 years but now it just suddenly stopped working for that reason (by not working I mean the bios that keeps resetting itself, I can still boot to my main OS just fine after). If anybody has any suggestion that would be greatly appreciated. I thought about flashing the bios but afaik it's the latest one, and anyway as I'm only running GNU/Linux I can't run the .exe tool to update it (off-topic but please lenovo have another way to u... Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro S/N YB03851970i7, 8GB, 256GB SSDWindows 10 Similar to another poster here, I experienced a BSOD, then on restart no drive was detected. Checked the connection and confirmed that the drive was firmly seated. A few threads online indicated that switching BIOS settings from UEFI to Legacy Support had worked for some people, however this was not the case in my situation. After figuring out the ssd part number using this tool: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/ibasepartslookup I checked prices and found that an exact replacement was a bit on the pricey side for an mSATA drive. I found a faster unit for almost half the price through Crucial: https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-MX200-250GB-mSATA-Internal/dp/B00RQA6LFA Upon receiving the replacement drive I referred to these instructions for replacing the unit: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Lenovo+Yoga+2+Pro+SSD+Replacement/52424 Note that the fasteners on the bottom of the laptop are not Phillips #00 as indicated in that article, but are in fact Torx T5. If you're a normal person and don't have a bit that size, a good high quality option is Wiha: https://www.amazon.com/Wiha-75985-Handle-Storage-MicroBit/dp/B00XIPTG4A Get yourself a bootable USB (search Microsoft support), and you'll be on your way. Hope this will be helpful to someone else who runs into the same issue. Cheers!

A:Enter Bios Lenovo Ideapad YOGA 11

Hi coucoune1633 ,

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.

To enter the BIOS , turn off the pc and use the Novo key (item1 page12) to power on .
Novo menu would appear offering BIOS set up (for changing boot options etc. )
System recovery option from one key recovery initial back up would delete everything and restore to factory defaults.

About booting to safe mode:
Since starting with Windows 8 and up , usual F8 on boot is deeply embedded on the recovery making it hard to access.

If Windows cannot boot to a viable stage for to access advance recovery menu :

1. Shift + F8 works on some system , do it at same time you see the lenovo splash screen repeatedly.

2. Forcing recovery mode on windows 8 : turn on then suddenly turn off pressing the power button , then on and off again for 2-3 attempts , Turn on and see if recovery screen would show up for the advance option.

3. Some system have F11 / F12 on BIOS to launch the recovery / boot option

4. Using a bootable media ( USB rescue image often useful for repair / back up  , using Windows media creation tool  )
If Windows 8/10 does not start: (using the command line)
How to boot into Safe Mode from the Windows 8/10 installation media or recovery USB flash drive.

Hello, I came here to ask Lenovo Staff for any feedback. Week ago I've bought Yoga 710. After few days of use its front left corner went up, it became unstable on flat surface. Pads aren't the problem and everything is fine if notebook is closed. I left it open with some book to keep it flat over night to see if it helps, it did but only for a while. I've search through this forum if anyone had such issue and Lenovo Support members claimed several times that it should be returned as this is covered by warranty. Sides are stiff and solid but the whole front is pretty much flexible. I could flex it myself but this can damage internal parts which I'd like to avoid. So I took pictures, contacted local Lenovo Support (Poland) about it. Surprisingly they've refused to help by claiming that this is "cosmetic defect". I've asked twice, told them about statements here and I don't blame them, but there's clearly some misunderstanding. Here's the picture of how it looks like. It would be great if someone could clarify why I can't receive warranty service while I read here others did.  I still have week to return it to store but this model (with Kaby Lake) isn't available anymore so they can't replace it for me and yet it's not their fault. I'd like to keep it, stay fair and have my issue resolved. Best Regards, Simon. o/

Hey everyone! Recently I'm thinking about how to use two operating systems on my Yoga without the need of dualboot. After some research I found out that many mainboards aren't able to boot from USB 3.0 or upwards. Since USB2 is way too slow for a decent performance, I'd like to refrain from that as an option. Been checking the UEFI and have only seen the option boot from USB, which does not specify if it's able to boot from USB3.0 (that has often to be differentiated). Now, I don't own a external ssd with USB 3, so I cannot test that myself. So, does the Yoga 510-14IKB support booting from USB 3.0 devices? Kind regards,kazumo P.S.: Does anyone know the technical aspect to why booting from USB 3.0 is not available everywhere? Been trying to figure it out and so far I don't see a reason why, since USB 3.0 has two lanes, one of which is equal to a USB 2.0

From new the Yoga 910 has always seemed to have problems. I've posted in detail about speed problems before but with regard to fan noise : https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-910-crazy-loud-fan-even-when-CPU-at-l.... I'd like to raise this issue again though since I've discovered that the Yoga is distinctly faster 10-20% when on battery!!! I presume this is due to the way the BIOS is configured to ramp the Ghz up/down to balance fan noise with CPU temperature (I have the BIOS set to quiet mode since anything else is both noisier and slower - see my link above.) Apologies for the size of the screenshots but they accurately show the nature of the problem - when plugged in the raytrace rendering (using Blender) is 22 seconds slower and Task Manager highlights how, on average, the % utilisation and Ghz are lower than when on battery. And after several attempts this is consistent. So my question to Lenovo is why is my laptop slower when plugged in and please Lenovo can you adjust the BIOS so when plugged in the laptop operates at least at the same speed as on battery (without breaking the fan quiet mode which is already too loud). Oh... and I have checked my power options in Windows 10 and there's nothing that would indicate that being plugged in would limit the performance. Performance on batteryPerformance plugged in

Hello, I have an issue with my laptop as it is not turning on. When plugging in the charger cable, the small light indicates that it is plugged in. When I tried opening it by pressing on the switch on button, the light lit up but did not open. The laptop's battery is not external hence i cannot remove/ and plug it again without opening the laptop personally and that would void the warranty. I want to avoid sending it repair since they take a  very long time to fix and return the laptop and I need it for daily use. Help please !
