I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello, my Ideapad 710S Plus-13IKB does not power on anymore. There is no noise and just a black screen. The keyboard also does not light up.Yesterday evening I have just shut down my laptop regularly. Today it is not working anymore. Since my laptop model does not allow to remove the battery, this is not an option for me as several support articles say. When plugging in the power supply, the small LED light at the side of the laptop lights up. But besides of that, nothing happens. The Novo button also does not work. Model Name: 80W3CPU: Intel i7-7500U 2.7GRAM: 8 GBSSD: 256 GBDisplay 13.3" FHDBattery: 4 cellOS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit Thanks for your help.

I am totally disappointed in Lenovo's customer support. My lenovo 710s was bought less than 1 year ago (as of 10/6/2017, when I sent it in for repairs) and had 2 years warranty (1+1 year of extended warranty). I sent my laptop for repair due to a white spot issue on the monitor, affecting viewing of webpages and videos. However, the laptop was returned after 3 weeks without any fixes/repairs, as Lenovo claimed that it was a cosmetic issue. I wrote a message on their customer care website on 3/7/2017. However, they ignored me and there was no reply to date.  I thought Lenovo is a reliable and popular brand. However, it turned out to be a horrible decision, much to my dismay!

Okay so I've had this computer less than 3 months and it's given me nothing but problems. Now it refuses to even turn on. The power LED turns on but the screen remains blank. This is an non removal battery type before anyone says remove the battery and use the adapter. I've drained the battery which has worked before but this time when I try to charge it the orange battery LED blinks three times. And still nothing on the screen. Any Lenovo stores are quite far away. Anyone knows what's going on?

Hi  I am thinking of purchasing a 13" Lenovo ideapad 710s ($1199 model) over a MacBook air. I have been using a macbook air for several years and recently thought of getting a new laptop. Lenovo's 710s seems to be quite good on paper (except the battery life), but I couldnt find any reviews online which can tell me if the laptop is as good as Lenovo projects it to be. If anyone has bought/used Lenovo 710s, can  you guys chime in and let me know if this laptop came on par with your expectations (esp. the battery life)? Thanks

hi. Here I leave you computer manual so you can compare, the battery is a consumable device that usually lasts depending on the use that will give the team being new can last an average of 3 hours, you should know that each load you do it is that you take away useful life. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Z-Base-de-conocimientos/Optimizando-el-tiempo-de-duraci%C3%B3n-de-la-ba... Manual service:https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_710S-13ISK_hmm_201603.pdf Regards.

Dear Lenovo Community, I've just bought my Lenovo Ideapad 710S two days ago. Bought the highest-end configuration with 16GB RAM + 512GB PCIE SSD. I got to say I'm absolutely in love with the form factor and its performance. I decided upon this laptop mainly because of its portability and the combination of 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD at less than $2k. DesignAt 1.1kg, it is really light - I can hold in up effortlessly with one arm. At home, I use a Dell monitor (U2715H) which is almost borderless; looking at 710S's edge, it is equally slim and is key to making it look stylish. The matte screen display has very crisp, clear text and is very comfortable to look at. PerformancePerformance wise, there is no complain. It lives up to what it's spec-ed on paper. Every application and operation (e.g. startup, shutdown, boot from sleep) loads at breakneck speeds thanks to its PCIE SSD. I've yet to try running more intensive software e.g. the Adobe suite but at this rate, it looks promising thus far. AccuType KeyboardAt first, I thought the flat keys have really little travel to bottom-out but as I spend more time typing on it, I gradually grew to like the keyboard. It's well spaced-out, typing on it can be very accurate. Key travel is reasonable for faster typists. Only thing is the placement of backspace, enter and shift button at the right side needs some extra time to get used to it as I find they placed more to the right than it is on comm... Read more

Hi, since I got my Ideapad 710s everything has been running smoothly, however, in the last month or so whenever I load something the mouse cursor disapears. If I go into settings and set the mouse pointer again it will appear as normal when something is loading, but within five minutes will go back to disappearing.  Another problem that started slighlty before that was that the night light (blue light filter) setting refused to turn off between 9pm and 6am, even when it said it was turned off. Now it is turned off, but won't turn on.  In general there has been lots of little settings malfunctions just like this, which while not laptop breaking, are increasingly annoying.  Any suggestions?

Hi there, Frevans                       -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

Just to verify, did you encounter this issue the first time you setup the PC or you just encountered this lately?

If it's just lately, can you try one of the following?

Disable "hide pointer while typing" under Control Panel (large icon view) > Mouse > Pointer Options Tab and enable "Show location of pointer when i press CTRL key"
  - Link to picture

Uninstall the Touchpad Driver (ELAN or Synaptics) under Control Panel > Programs and reboot. Upon logging back in, Windows will use a generic touchpad driver. Try to observe the mouse pointer behavior and observe (you can always re-install the touchpad driver by navigating to D:\Drivers\Touchpad or by downloading the driver from the lenovo website).

Boot in Safe Mode with Networkingand observe the mouse pointer behavior. If all goes well, perform a clean boot and observe. If same problem, perform a System Restorein safe mode to undo any possible updates that was installed on the system (ensure that you make a backup copy of your files).

Update us how it goes.

Today, I updated my Realtek Audio Driver to version 6.0.1.7831 (dated 7/21/2016). After installation, I immediately realized that the taskbar icon changed from Dolby to Realtek default icon:? -> ? Next, I went to Programs and Features and found out that "Dolby Audio X2 Windows APP" disappeared from the list. Originally, both of these Dolby programs came with the laptop:? After the update, I was only left with this:? The impact of this is that I can no longer toggle the different sound features provided by the Dolby App. I contacted Lenovo via online chat support but the personnel insists Dolby is not a supported program by Lenovo without giving me a valid solution or answer. Did Lenovo omit Dolby App in the latest Audio Driver by mistake? Or did Lenovo intentionally removed it due to the vulnerability explained here: "Dolby Audio X2 (DAX2) privilege escalation" https://support.lenovo.com/sg/en/product_security/len_4884#/IdeaPad. If anybody is facing the same issue / has any solutions / answers, kindly leave a comment below. I bought a lenovo ideapad 320 from Walmart 4 months ago and it broke 2 weeks after I bought it. I'm posting this now because I put it aside for so long but now I need it for school. I turned it on one day and all of a sudden the screen was jet black. Plus if I turn it off I have to hold down the power button but if I turn it on it just comes back on with 1 quick press. Whats up with that? Is it because my laptop isn't turning off all the way? I already tried the hard reset method (taking out battery, holding down power button for X seconds) and cleaning the ram stick but nothing seems to work. Do you think it might be the LCD screen?

Hi all, this is my first time posting into the forum and I would like to apologise if i have made some mistakes  anywhere so please bear with me.The laptop screen turns black after moments of usage and after a few days of using it the problem slowly disappears on its own. After two weeks, I reset my laptop and the problems came back. The screen turns black and all the  activity going on behind stopped instantly. I searched for solutions anywhere and I can't find one, the only thing i can do is holding the power button on and off again. Setting the display to never sleep and turning on screensavers won't solve the problem either. This problem frustrates me very much. Does anyone else have this kind of problem? If so, anyone has any solution regarding this problem? I would appreciate it greatly if there's any solution

I am having this problem with the Edge 2-1580 when running on battery power.  Screen shuts off after 15 - 45 minutes of use and I need to hard reset by holding power button.  Seems like a lot of people with different models are having this problem, but no solutions.  I've tried updating BIOS, drivers, factory resetting, adjusting power settings, all to no avail.  I tried chatting with live support last night and "Chris" had me download the Lenovo Solution Center program and do a hardware scan but of course the scan came back with no problems.  I can't believe with so many people having this problem that Lenovo hasn't come out with a solution.  Sorry I can't help more, but I hope you find an answer!

Hello So a while ago I posted about a problem I was having that caused my laptop(fairly new 1.5 months now) to randomly crash or go in a blacklit screen mode where the only option to get it working again is to hard reset it. I think a lenovo community memeber posted up a fix that i should download (Intel Management Enginer Hardware .. something like that). That fix did not work and then I tried the suggested method by a customer which only worked for a week. I also contancted lenovo and allowed them access to my computer and all that was done was updating the drivers.  My warranty is for a year and I would have to send it to get it fixed My questions are, is there anything else I can do myself to resolve this issue? If lenovo cannot solve this issue what can be done about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I just started university and I often find I fall behind on some programming for a course because I cannot bring my laptop to school as it is pretty much useless

Hello everybody,I've signed in this community right now. I have a laptop ideapad 500s-13 for a month, with windows 10 pre installed. the CPU is core i3-6100, Intel Graphics 520, Samsung SSD 128Gb, 4 GB ram. After some sumulative update of Win 10 1607 anniversary update, my laptop couldn't boot, it remains in black screen mode with circle of dots rotating but it can't enter in the system, even if i disconnected all the connection and USB cable. I've tried to boot in Safe mode, it works!! but not in normal mode!!So, what I did was to enter in Safe mode and disable the Intel Graphics 520 Driver from device manager (i don't remember the exact name). The problem cames up the exact moment when i tried to enable the graphic driver from pc device manager ,the screen turned black with only cursor. So I think the main problem is the incompatibility of the win10 and the intel graphics driver. My current version of intel HD graphic 520 driver is 21.20.16.4550, driver date 11/11/2016. Please, do you have any solutions??? ps. sorry for any mistake in the text, english is not my native language.  thank you in advance
