Problem reaching website

Q: Problem reaching website

I'm trying to play a game I play every day called Pockie Pirates, hosted by game321.com. Last night I hit some lag while playing, so I refreshed and got "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to pirates.game321.com," which I have gotten every time I've tried since. Every other website I've tried works just fine. I've talked to some other peoople who play, and they all say they have no problem, so I do some googling, and I come across the suggestion to do something I've never heard of before called a tracert. So, I do that and I get this:

Tracing route to game321.com []
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms . [routerIP]
2 35 ms 34 ms 34 ms WAN IP
3 31 ms 34 ms 34 ms
4 29 ms 29 ms 28 ms switch2.core.metroix.net-Vlan20 []
5 * * * Request timed out.
30 * * * Request timed out.

Trace complete.

I'm not sure what that means. Can anyone help me?

Preferred Solution: Problem reaching website

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Problem reaching website

Trace route essentially traces the direction your computer goes to get to the server. Think of if you are flying from say USA to Europe with 5 layovers. Each layover is recorded.

This particular issue will need to be looked into by your ISP. That tracert is what they will need.
Incidentally I was able to tracert to the website.

Hey guys,

I've been racking my brain on this for a while now, and I can't seem to put my finger on what's gone wrong. Maybe i've been working on it too much now.

trying to access fldoea-public.sharepoint.com from the company website and the page cannot be displayed on any browser on any of our domain machines.

Accessing that same page from outside our network works fine.

The website resolves correctly in the DNS when i try NSLOOKUP -->

Tried TRACERT and can only get to the Firewall and not beyond.

I can view any other website perfectly except this one.

Checked with my ISP and they said we don't seem to have anything blocking our outbound connections.

We have a Sophos UTM9 Firewall setup... and none of the web filtering options are enabled.
Any ideas on what I might be missing ?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide !!

A:Website Access problem with only 1 website

Solved my own problem after all !!

Just FYI in case anyone experiences the same frustrations with this...

ICMP was disabled on the Firewall and a Country Code block was in effect that I had not initially noticed.

My system kept freezing after a little while of playing ragnarok....

so i got a cpu temp monitor... and while i was playing the temperature slowly creeped up to 90C, until it crashed.

Then i realised that in just idle the temperature was 67C !!!!!!!1

at this point i was a little worried, so i took off the side case and now in idle the temperature is 54C.....

But still 54C is bloody hot for a CPU in idle, i have 3 fans in the case 2 rear (psu and 1 added) and the other on the cpu itself, they are all running fine ( i think) but still the temperature is 54 in idle....

I noticed my PC had begun to get a bit sluggish since last saturday.... but i didnt think much of it at the time.

Does anyone have any clues of whats causing it/ things i can do to fix this problem =-(

A:Cpu temp reaching 90.C!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off, what CPU is it? A prescott running idleing at 90 is alot more common then a northwood or Athalon. You fan setup is ok. But adding a slot blower or a intake fan would help alot. Also how often do you clean the dust witha can of air. Even after a few months the dust buildup can be alarming. Another thing you could do is reapply thermal paste. But i think dust could be one of the major problems

Hello I am Sheldon for some reason when I play games like titan-fall, BF4, arma 2, really any modern game.(some modern games dont freeze as frequently as others) I can play for a few minutes but then my computers disk reaches 100% then freezes for a few minutes then stops freezing and then it works just fine for a few more minutes and so on. I would be cool with it if the processes matched up with the 100% but it does not. it could be at 100% but only be writing 50 MB/s and reading 20 MB/s (not exact numbers) I do not see that reaching 100% on the hard drive I have. Hey mate, I recently had this problem on a client. I removed some PUPs (basically malware, but not classified as such) and it went back to normal. Install malwarebytes (.org) malware remover, update it and use the scanner, and remove all that it finds. This is a highly recommended product, and it won't interfere with your current antivirus product.

If after that, you still experience problems, let us know!

Hi guys,
I presently have a network with static addresses. My problem is that the network is now reaching to a number of 245, and I know there will be another batches that needs to be connected to this network, therefore the ip limit of 255 will be exceeded.

I am planning to split my network into two, the problem is how can I link these two networks?

My current network has this settings :
IP = 192.168.20.x
Subnet mask =
gateway =

I am planning to set my new network to 192.168.30.x

What values should I use for subnet mask and gateway?

And do I need other hardwares like routers or switches?

If so, can cheap router available at market can do these? Lets say a D-link DIR300?

Many thanks,

I have a P50 1535M with 32GB of ECC RAM. The maximum chip speed I see in use is 3.5GHz and 3.2GHz with all cores in use, whereas it should be able to reach 3.9 on a single core. I have used the maximum performance profile on windows 10. I have even switch to GPU only graphics which did increase the speed to 3.6. The green bar then indicates that the message is going to be sent but just before the bar reaches the end it flashes up "disconnecting" and then "not connected"

I am using Windows XP and in the Internet Options section under programmes and email.
I have Outlook Express selected with the other options being Hotmail and MSN Explorer.
Please could you advise me what the problem is as the messages are not being sent. ie should I have MSN messanger selected instead of Outlook Express ( which I never use, I have a hotmail email account. I've been having chronic problems since as far back as I can remember. But now most of my computer components are new, except my gfx card is a year old. I'm pretty certain my problem is hardware related. I get lockups on fresh installs of Windows XP. I've tried toggling hyperthreading, and tweaking various options. If it is hardware, how do I track down the specific problem. Note, I don't have parts I can swap out to test. I don't get bluescreens, they're just dead lockups.

I purchased this laptop, (ACER Predator Helios 500) and for the amount of money is costed me I'd expect to reach higher than an average of 80-100 fps playing games on medium or high. I ran a 3DMark and the result was just, embarrassing. I had an average of 32 FPS on the tests so out of confusing and curiousity as to what's wrong or what I can possibly do to increase my FPS i'm making this thread. I already contacted Acer, they told me to run a BIOS Update, which I did, didn't help. My drivers are all up to date too. So I'm really not understanding why my FPS is this, well, less than expected. I've attached a file to this thread which was my 3DMark result. My battery settings are on high performance too, V-Sync is always off. FPS Limit is nearly always set to 144, and I can't even reach this. Games such as, DOOM, OverWatch, and even Minecraft, I barely get above a 100 FPS. I'm really curious as to what's making it like this or what I'm doing wrong. I'll take any advice.

Hi, I want to know how long a password has to be to qualify it for 128-bits of entropy?

From Winzip's help file: "full strength of AES encryption requires a password of approximately 32

characters for 128-bit encryption and 64 characters for 256-bit encryption."

But using
r) U*c6{2 :1w$o!I-D7~vO/q]

Length: 26

Entropy: 129 bits

Charset Size: 95 characters

However, above 15 is not possible to memorize.

pw length: 10

speed: 100,000,000/sec

PCs: 100

using full ASCII

Brute Force Attack will take up to 214 years.

Is that correct? Thus, even 8-15 characters is good enough.

I recently put together a new computer with a Gigabyte motherboard (400FSB, VIA KT600 chipset, DDR400) and put in 512MB of PC3200 Kingston Ram. I read that using this setup its capable of up to 3.2GB/s but normally around the high 2?s. When I ran a Memory Bandwidth Benchmark using SiSoftware Sandra I got just over 2.1GB/s.

When I first ran up the computer I also has a 256MB chip of PC2100 Ram, and found out that it would slow my 3200 ram down this the slower 2100 speed ram. I have since removed it to see if I could get the approx figures that Sandra said I should get with the KT600 chipset and DDR400 ram. But no luck.

Does anyone know if that?s normal for a 400FSB with DDR400 and AMD Athlon XP 2600+ Barton. Any another thing, what is the main advantage of really fast RAM, does it help the CPU?

A:Ram not reaching expected speed?

When you use that one stick of PC2100 Ram you are limiting all the RAM to the speed of the slowest RAM. Your processor has to wait for the RAM to process requests for memory access, so it really forces the Processor to slow down as well.

On the other hand if you have a processor with an FSB of 333 and run PC3200 Ram or DDR400 Ram, You can not take full advantage of memory designed to run faster than the processor.

Your computer may run faster if you pull out the PC2100. Of course you will then have less memory and it may have to write more Memory Pages to the hard drive. Which would slow it down for another reason.

I'm on vacation and am staying here in South Korea.
I decided to get myself a new computer since parts are much cheaper here than in the US.

Here's a brief list of the specs:

MSI 915P Neo2 Platinum (1.0B)
Pentium 4 630 3.0Ghz (No OC), with a Zalman 7000B-Cu cooler
400W PSU
1GB 533Mhz RAM (Dualchannel)

May I mention that I recorded lower temperatures with the previous cooler.
(The one that came with the CPU)

It's been about 2 weeks since I built this CPU and I recorded temperatures of:
70C Idle
80C+ Load

and that was with the default cooler.

With the Zalman cooler I was unable to define an idle temperature because when I was looking at the 'PC Health Status' menu in the BIOS, it would continue on increasing until it eventually reached 100C and the system automatically shut down. (one of the features of the CPU)

I searched on the internet and was not suprised to find that the new 600 series of Intel's P4 processors recorded lower temperatures (around 35C and 42C, idle and load respectively) than the 500 series.

Is anyone able to tell me if this is a fault in the cooler or in the CPU itself??

Thanks in advance.

Ctrl + alt + del = normal?? get options, select task Manager, window opens?? see everything with no apps working, services has trend running. several reboots later, I tried inserting win 8 disc, hoping for some diagnostic, no, I finally get a msg scrn flash of around 15 words beginning with "Your PC" then too quick to auto reboot.

should I try the win7 disc??

Hello Everyone,

I recently upgraded to the 107Mbps service from sudden link. The tech tested my signal coming into the house and it proved to be very strong. I then hooked up the Motorola Surboard Docsis 3.0 modem via hardline to my iMAC and my brother's PC running 7. He and I both did the speed test and we are only getting 50-75 Mbps. The tech claimed we needed to wait and the speed would build up, but its been 24 hours and still around the 50-75 range. We also got higher rated cables to ensure that there was no loss. I made sure the settings in the modem was set to send out 107Mbps and the Tech agreed that the modem was capable of delivering the speed. Both my brother's PC and my iMac are within 3 to 4 months old. The modem is also about 6 months old. I have no idea why the speed is not clocking at or near 100Mbps. Please help.

I have a fairly new computer built in March. The other day, I opened task manager when Firefox froze, and I was noticing that my disk usage was at/close to 100%. Afterwards when I restarted my computer and it is disk usage stabilized, it still often did spike to 100% and stay around there. I've noticed Firefox also takes it to ~100%. Anyone else notice this?

I read in another thread to try chkdsk.exe /f /r. I started the chkdsk around 10 PM, and it is not 11:50 PM and I am still at 11%. I will be sleeping around 1:30, at which point I will have to force restart, shutdown, and go to sleep.

How do I fix this issue? Thanks!

A:Win 8.1 frequently reaching 100% disk usage

I restarted, pressed the keyboard at the right time and escaped the repair. I currently am running sfc /scannow on my desktop (posting from my laptop). Windows Module Installer Worker is using up a lot of power, but after stopping superfetch the issue minimized a bit.

I stopped superfetch and I disabled OneDrive syncing and sfc /scannow found nothing wrong

Restarted and reinstalled Firefox, and it appeared to be the culprit. Launching Firefox led to solid 100% disk usage... I still had higher usage after closing Firefox. I stopped superfetch, it fell, I reopened Firefox and came here and it spiked up (and now it spiked down). Anyone know what is going on?

Good Afternoon,

I am turning here because it seems I am not getting any answers from the person who is in charge of my network. I have a user who has 4 DSL Connections with us. Static assigned IPs and is hosting a mail server at ip .3 (Using fake Ip addresses btw).

So, IP number 4 and 2 can reach the webserver but 1 can not. We do have a Deny arp rule in our routers here but that would also restrict 4 and 2 if this was the issue.

User has stated he has nothing blocking IP 1 from accessing said server and what not.

All IPs are in the same class C block and only differ by one bit.

Hello, I recently purchased the HP envy 13 with the i7 processor. Most of the time I use it to work with, but occasionally I use it for moderate gaming. Now while doing the latter I ran into a problem. While playing Total war: Shogun 2 I realised my laptop was getting very hot and checked with multiple programs such as Speccy and Realtemp to see the CPU temperature and it runs steady at around 80-90 degrees (Celcius) and peaking at 97. Now I'm not a hardware expert but i know a CPU shouldn't reach these temperatures.  What can I do about this problem? The hardware and BIOS settings are standard and while a laptop can get hotter when it has to perform, 97 degrees seems way too high. Is anyone else experiencing this? The computer is standing on a wooden table with nothing blocking the vents. Please let me know how to get the temperature lower, the computer is only two weeks old and i don't want to ruin it already.  Regards,Tom

I brought this a couple weeks ago and I've had issue after issue trying to fiture out why I'm not getting a full display. The Display is only a box in the middle of the screen, it doesn't go to both sides (or any side for that matter). It reaches top and bottom fine, but no matter what settings I change in windows, nothing changes, I can set it to my monitor max of 1600x900 but I just get a squashed square box in the middle of my screen. I've tried installing new drivers for the graphics, but that messed up windows ten and I had to format and start all over again only to get the same issue!! I'm literally going in circles trying to fix this issue. I want this to run through a KVM switch, which it was when i first connected it, but I have tried it direct to a monitor with the same trouble. Please help.

Hi Guys
We now use Office 2016 with Win10. Our incoming e-mails seem to be stuck at our ISP. I can see them when I go to WEB MAIL. But they are not arriving at Outlook on our computer.
I have gone through the e-mail set-up protocol with our ISP more than once - and everything appears to be correct. Is this a Microsoft issue?

I have the following problem:

I have a virtual pc (windows xp) installed running in "virtual pc" from ms on vista home premium. For web-site testing reasons I want to reach the localhost of the vista machine in the ie6 browser.

There is a network connection and I am able to reach the internet from the virtual pc.

I have tried to type in "MyMachineName" and my IP instead of "localhost"-part of the url which I type in the browser on the vista machine to reach the site.

I have both firewalls turned off.

What do I have to do to reach the localhost?

Thanks a lot in advance,

I recently got the XPS 15 9550 i5-6300HQ and GTX 960M. It's beautiful but when running games it gets hot to touch but not excessive, however I have monitored the hardware temps and it reaches up to 85 degrees GPU (then fan goes crazy until it lowers again) and 80 degrees CPU. It can sometimes maintain 80 degrees on both for the full session. I appreciate this is when they are working hard but are these temperatures too high for my laptop? I cannot find Dells recommended limits. I have not noticed any throttling. Do other users have any comparable temperatures?

For extra info during these temperatures the GPU runs at 100 percent and the CPU on all 4 cores around 70 percent.

A:XPS 15 9550 GPU and CPU temperature reaching maximum?

A little more follow up, in case it is helpful.  I found an extensive review of the XPS 15 9550 on notebookcheck.net dated 12/23/2015.  They stated "The GPU temperature does not fluctuate as much as the CPU: It can reach 90 °C, where the throttling sets in and the temperature of the GPU will level off at around 70 °C."
They provide a picture of a video stress test that includes a picture of the HWInfo monitoring utility.  It shows the GPU reached 90C, but throttled back to 70C by reducing its clock speed.  In their stress test, the GPU clock reduces to the 600s and the GPU memory to 400MHz.
When I run stress tests, accompanied by HWInfo for monitoring the sensors, my GPU clock remains above 1100MHz and the GPU memory remains at 1252.8.  It never reduces and the temp stays around 90C.
I have no idea if throttling is controlled by software, or by the GPU itself.  Neither Dell, nor NVIDIA could provide me helpful info on that.  If it is a software setting somewhere in the NVIDIA Control Panel, I don't know where to find it.

I have Win 7, and for the last two days, have had intermittent issues with reaching any Google site.
I've reset my router multiple times, including a complete power off time off of about 10 minutes.
This happens in IE, Chrome, FF, and Opera.  Sometimes I can reach the sites.  I'd estimate it at 20% of the time.  I use Google products heavily for work, and this is my work computer.
I've checked my hosts file.  Nothing is changed there.  I've ran MalwareBytes and Spybot.
I've flushed my DNS.  I can ping and tracert.

I have a dell latitude with 4 gb of ram. The operating system is xp professional with service pack 3. When you start this computer up, it appears to come up fine all the way to the desktop. But then if you try to open any program or application, it just freezes. Now if you just wait for about 20 minutes, everything will open and the computer will run fine. I have norton and windows one carel live. I have used their scans to check for viruses, spyware, etc. Nothing found. I did have a few registry issues but they were minor and have been corrected. Scans now do not reveal anything but the problem still exists.

I also disabled all of the startup programs....no help. I can start it in safe mode and it does the exact same thing! Where do I look now? This issue is driving me mad.

I have a Lenovo Idea Pad Y700 and wanted to install windows on it. I went to the bios setting to change the boot into USB. There were to categories of boot options: UEFI and Legacy. Within UEFI, there were two options: the hard drive and network based option. Under the Legacy category, there was no option listed. However, I chose it and restarted the computer. After that, the laptop is an infinite loop of restarting. It turns on and within one or two seconds it restarts. I tried to keep pressing F2 but it doesn't go into BIOS setting. It doesn't even seem that the keyboard is working.I tried to follow the discussion here, but that didn't help my issue out. Apparently, the problem in my computer is happening so fast that even the keyboard is not initialized. I tried using a USB keyboard, but that didn't help. I don't even see the laptop logo when it restarts. I will really appreciate if anyone has an idea how to fix this.

I have a linux based POP3 server and have configured outlook 2003 as a client to access mails. I have added myself to a group/DL, but when I send it to this group the mails do not reach my inbox. Do note that they have been sent (in my sent items). Added the respective group in the send/receive groups(making my inbox to be included in this particular group), created a separate folder in my Inbox. No Luck. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong here.
