American Soldier,Anybody Know Where....

Q: American Soldier,Anybody Know Where....

Hey All,

I seen on Dateline or some other program like that. They were talking about this game called "American Soldier". They said i could be down-loaded for free. Does anybody know where (link) to get this game. I searched "Google' and other search engins...can't find it. Free Trail versions......but how about the whole game ??

Preferred Solution: American Soldier,Anybody Know Where....

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi and welcome

You have no anti-virus protection.
Get AVG (it's free): http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1
Install it and run a scan.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Good Evening,

I am currently serving with the 1st Cavalry Division here in Baghdad, Iraq. I got the Need For Speed Underground 2 game a few weeks ago. It installed and played just fine. For some reason now, it crashes to the desktop shortly after I start driving. I have reinstalled DX 9.0c, my vid drivers, and my audio drivers. I have toyed with the settings and made all my DX tests. I will post my specs below here. If anyone knows why this would do this, please drop me an email as internet time here is limited. I have also closed all background apps to the system minimums. So that is not it either.

SYSTEM SPECS:
AMD Athlon 2.0Ghz 2400+ (unclocked)
ATI Sapphire Radeon 9800
VIA On board sound chip
512Mb RAM
If you need any other info let me know.

A:Help With Soldier of Fortune 2

WhiteFaction,

See this link :

http://sof2.ravensoft.com/faq.htm

Under 'General Issues' #1 - OpenGL Subsystem Error.

It appears you will need to look for different drivers - and apply game patches if you have not.

You might as a last resort try this site as they release tweaked drivers for Nvidia and Radeon Cards :

http://www.omegacorner.com

Though ensure you read up fully before attempting to use them - and set a Restore Point.

I played SOF 2 a year ago , nothing abnormal but then after a year (now) i start playing it again BUT all my colors in the maps are just black and white , what wierd is is that the guns , guys and some objects ARE in color ANY SUGGESTIONS???

A:Soldier Of Fortune 2

It very well could be a driver issue. You could try uninstalling the current video drivers on the system and download an older version of the drivers. That might getcha to see some color.....

good luck!

okay i just reinstalled y SOF2 game and i am getting an open GL error saying my video card does not support it......well I had this game working fine on this system before and the only thing that's different is I added a new hard drive as a slave and now the game doesn't work.?!? I don't have an agp Video card but i am running my on board video on an "ELITEGROUP P4VMM2" mainboard. any suggestions??

A:Soldier Of Fortune 2

KAustin,

Is this the error message :

Could Not Open GL Subsystem Error.

If so try your graphics card manufacturers site for new drivers.

Should you be using an Onboard Graphics solution then possibly someone else can provide you with a link to an update for that.

And possibly install/ reinstall DirectX 9 from here :

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/default.asp

Hi and welcome to the Security Forum.

Apologies for any delay in replying, but we have been rather busy lately, and, of course, all our helpers are volunteers.

When the scan is complete, two text files will open - minimised > extra.txt and maximised > main.txt.
Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt back in this thread (do not attach it).
Please attach extra.txt to your post.

To attach a file to a new post, simplyClick the[Manage Attachments] button under Additional Options > Attach Files on the post composition page, and
copy and paste the following into the "Upload File from your Computer" box:C:\Deckard\System Scanner\extra.txt

hey. i just installed soldier of fortune and when i try running it, it tells me that SOF has caused an error in <unknown> anyone know anything about this?

A:Soldier of Fortune

What is the exact error.

Probably due to sound or video drivers though. For video related issue's they recommend running glsetup off the cd, personnally I think your better off getting new drivers from your manufacturer, gl setup as a last resort.

anyways there is a patch for the game here http://www.3dfiles.com/patches/soldieroffortune.shtml

Hello, here is my simple configuration.
I always use Sandboxie to protect my Firefox session, by setting the auto deletion of the sandbox when I close the browser.
Emsisoft and ZAL offer great protection, never had infections until now.
I strongly believe in a backup plan so when you lose your "home's key" ..you have a well-guarded second key, and you are fine

A:Winter Soldier's Config.

You've a nice config here. Thanks for sharing!

I would say that you can safely remove Zemana AL from realtime protection. Emsisoft is also an effective anti-malware and can cover the part of Zemana malware protection. You can keep Zemana as an on-demand scanner only.
If you're using it for keylog protection and Secure SSL specially, keep only those features active. This will very well lighten your system.

You can add 'HTTPS Everywhere' and 'uBlock Origin' (malware and ads blocking) addons to Firefox.
Keep safe!

So about a few weeks ago I got a weird Virus about VIamex which is a male enhancement product. I thought it was also odd that I keep getting redirected to random sites that I had not clicked. Now I accidentally clicked ALLOW to one of the things that poped up and Now I keep getting things for SAVE SOLDIER. It says on my computer with or without the internet that a virus is at hand and it steals passwords. It also redirects me to a page on the internet that asks me if I want to continue to leave my computer unprotected. There are two Red things on the side that pop up and say, "Security Alert". I tried to download antispyware software, after I was infected the second time, but it says that the interenet could not find the page. I tried clickingmore information or diagnose but its frozen. I did a System Restore but after my computer restarts it says that it could not be completed and to if I want to launch it again. Can ANYONE help me please!!! Im very sick and tired of this nonsence. I cant even browse the computer without being harrased! I will forever be greatfull if anyone can just help me out! Thank you all for any thing!!!!

TRy this. Remove the Save folder from where you copied it to. Play 1 game of SOF and save the game. Copy the contents of your backed up Saved Games folder into the folder created by playing the first game of SOF.

I run a SOF ctf server. I've been running it for around 6 mths now, but have always had this problem. I've posted this question on other forums before but nobody can figure it out. so here it is, lets see how you guys do.
When i start it, everything is fine, meaning that other people can see it listed in the servers list. After people join and have been playing for awhile ( not exactly sure how long ) it'll vanish from the server list. People that have the server's IP can connect with it but people that dont have no way of even knowing that its running. Sometimes it'll show up on its own again, but most of the time it wont. I or someone with rcon has to start a new map then it'll show again. But then it'll just vanish again.
I've talked to other people that run SOF servers but nobody else has had this problem.
te pc specs are:
P3 667
Hercules 64mb video card
Asus p3v133 motherboard
768 mb ram
linksys network pci card
roadrunner ( NY ) cable internet provider
i'm not running it through a router, it has it own seperate IP from the rest of the PC i have.

i've heard that it could be something about the number of pings i get that roadrunner cuts it off. or something like that i dont remember exactly. But i know people that run servers on roadrunner and they have no problems.

I have a Windows XP Home Edition. So, I turned on my computer, and I kept getting this alert that said I have spyware and it was asking me to install something. I clicked "No" and ran Spyware Doctor. I deleted a few infections, and some of them were called Antispyware Soldier. I googled it and found that it is rogue-antispyware.
I restarted my computer, but the same thing kept popping up over and over again, and I have tried using Spyware Doctor to delete but it keeps coming back and alerting me again.

Can someone help me?

You should be able to set up a hosted wireless network to connect other wireless devices.

You can set this up using the command prompt or you can install the connectify software which makes it easier for some. The links below explains the details about setting this up.

A:Help please i dont know what to do ! help a soldier in iraq !

Hello and Welome to TSF! Thank you for all you are doing for our country.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.

Go to My Computer->Tools/View->Folder Options->View tab and make sure that 'Show hidden files and folders' (or 'Show all files') is enabled. Also make sure that 'Display the contents of system folders' is checked. If you have Windows XP, the search feature is a little different. When you click on 'All files and folders' on the left pane, click on the 'More advanced options' at the bottom. Make sure that 'Search system folders', 'Search hidden files and folders', and 'Search subfolders' are checked.

For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep).

Right click on this link http://www.greyknight17.com/spy/DelO15Domains.inf and choose Save As. Save it to your desktop. Right click on that file and choose Install. It will run immediately (you won't be able to see anything happen). You may delete it afterwards.

When you say "game code" do you mean the CD Registration Key? If so, just simply enter yours in and the game should run fine.
When you uninstalled the game, did you make sure you completely removed all the files? Maybe you could try uninstalling the game again. Running a Registry Cleaner to remove all the entries from the game and trying to reinstall it. Does the problem still occur?
Good luck.

I just got soldier of fortune 2- Gold edition. However it is not running very smothly on my machine in single player mode.
Athlon XP 2000+
512 DDR RAM
40 Gb HDD
On board sound
64mb Radeon 9000 Pro
52x CD-ROM

So my machine should run this game no prob. But it takes ages to load levels, when I move it is jerky and if loads of bad guys come at me the whole thing starts to lock up causing the sound to get jerky. Its as if I have no graphics card at all.

I saw in one of the help files that there may be issues with a number of cards mine included and that I need to download a reference driver from www.atitech.com. I bought my system new a few months ago so I should have drivers that are newer than this game right? Has any one encountered problems like this before or know of a fix?

A:Soldier of fortune 2 problems

The latest drivers for your card by ATI were released on March 13, 2003 so chances are you still need to upgrade them.

Go to http://www.ati.com and download the driver(s) for your card and particular operating system.

Follow the instructions to install them and play the game again. If it still happens we probably need to approach the problem in a different direction.
good luck,
roosterman

Hi have a little problem here. I can't get Smitfraud Fix to delete anit-spyware soldier. When I first tried to download the file my Anti-virus wouldn't let me download Smitfraud Fix. I shut off my anti-virus and finally I could download the file. Seems like it might have hijacked my anti-virus or something. Also there's an Adminstartor user on my computer that I can't log on to. First time I seen it was when I went into Safe mode. Thanks for any help you can give me. A:Infected With Antispyware Soldier

Hi and welcomeYou have one nasty mess on board. Know off-hand what site did this? or IM link?Wish I had better news. You have several backdoors installed along with at least 1 rootkit, spambots, and at least 1 virus. This virus has infected many of your exe files which will explain why many of your programs are not working right. (if at all)Of particular importance most if not all your security software is infected as well & therefore cannot protect you from anything. If you use this computer for anything sensitive such as banking, online CC purchases, paypal or like services I would highly suggest calling these companies to watch your accounts.Once computer is clean you will need to change ALL your passwords to these accounts and any other online groups/services you belong to.Anyone else who uses the computer for similar activities will need to change their passwords as well.Do NOT change passwords or do any transactions while using the infected computer because the attacker will get the new passords and transaction information. Here is some info to read.:How do I handle possible Identity theft, Internet Fraud & CC Fraud?:http://www.dslreports.com/faq/10451This is something i dont like to recommend normally, but with a computer this badly infected it would be the best solution for your safety to format the drive and do a fresh install of the operation system.. Consider this especially if there is important or confidential information stored on your hard disksome more t... Read more

A responce would me most appreciated.
