I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I recently built a call log database in Access 2007 for my team to use when calling agents on our top errors we see from a vendor's error report. My boss is requesting a report to see how many items have been resolved

I have a query started and I am trying to complete this task in a single query (if possible) instead of several queries (as I've done for a couple other things).

I have 3 tables I'm using: Assignment, AgtInfo and CallLog
Joins as follows: Assignment.st=AgtInfo.agcy_st
AgtInfo.agt_id=CallLog.agt_id

Fields in the results: Assignment.assigned_analyst, CallLog.rpt_mnth, CallLog.resolved

Resolved is a yes/no field. I've done a query that converts the -1 to a 1, so that the sum is a positive number for the "Yes" values. I'm not sure how to enter the expression to subract the "Yes" values from the total number of values (yes/no) to get to my "No" count.

Essentially, I'd like the results to display as:

assigned_analyst, rpt_mnth, CountYes_resolved, CountNo_resolved

Somehow the connection is just not clicking in my brain with everything I've read though searches. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

A:Solved: Access 2007 Query: Return count of "Yes" and "No" values for Analyst/Report M

It is easier to add another column to counf the Nos, use
0 or is null
as the IIf statement and use a 1 to count them

I am trying to send faxes on a Canon Imagerunner 2200 but it fails everytime. It sends a page to me titled "error tx report". It tells me the tx function was not completed. It doesn't show any code though. Does anyone know about these problems?

A:Solved: Canon Imagerunner 2200 "Error TX Report"

TX simply means Send, so you have a send error. Have you check the telephone jack for service? Can you dial out using a regular phone on the fax line? Have you tried a new phone cable? Also has this unit ever worked for you for faxing or has this just happened, and if its just happened to error now then has anything changed?

I had my first ever "lightblue screen of death" (win10) with a MEMORY_MANAGER error code.

First I tried checking for bad drivers with Verifier which constantly crashed and rebooted (finally managed to turn it off). This could indicate that I do have a bad driver, but I have no idea how to locate it or remove it.

Then I ran the memtest86 (just in case) and got this result (see image). Should I be worried?

Take out all of the ram, put in each, one by one and run memtest each time. This is so that you can isolate which stick is bad and replace it. Memtest should return no errors on a good system.

We are experiencing a problem when using Crystal Reports 10 with VB2005 to generate reports using larger datasets. If we try to print a report that would contain a fairly large amount of data we get an error.
Exception source is RptControllers.dll
Exception Type System.Runtime.InteropServices.ComException
Exception Message: Login Failed
ADO Error Code 0x
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).] SQL Server does not exist or access denied
SQL State 08001
Native Error: Error in File c:\docum~1\useraccount\locals~1\Temp\**name of reporttempfile.rpt
Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters.
Exception Target site SetTableLocation

Now the above sound obvious at first but mind you if we filter the report for a Shorter time frame or use MORE paramters it will print just fine.
We have had this error reported on Win XP Sp3. SP2, Windows 2003 Server, and Server 2000.
We cleaned out the temp file folder and occasional it lets us print the report but just once and not all the users can print after cleaning out the temp files. I think that's got to do with the amount of data they are trying to pull. We attempted to reinstall the application ( crystal ten) and added full control rights to all the folders involved.
We've been told to check the drive to see if its fat 32 but found that all of them are NTFS. Please any help would be appreciated.

Hello hulk

The error message concerns "PC Security" which has become corrupted.

First of all turn off "Error Reporting" till we get the problem fixed
http://www.theeldergeek.com/windows_..._reporting.htm

Now you will not get that box popping up

If you cannot uninstall "PC Security" from Add/Remove Ptrgrams in the Control Panel try uninstalling it with Revo Uninstaller which is a free program. Be careful not to uninstall any other program.

When the problem is fixed if you wish you can turn Error Reporting back on again

Maybe you should get rid of "GREATIS Aoftware UnhackMe" too

Edit
An afterthought. If you have locked folders with "PC Security" you will probably need it to unlock them again or they might not be accessible. You might have to reinstall it to unlock these folders before finally getting rid of it

Hi there all

My computer's gone barmy , it just switches off on it's own and then when it restarts it says my computer has recovered from a serious error. It does this almost three times in a row after which sometimes it gives me the option of starting the computer in safe mode or starting windows normally...

Today it did it again and I checked the error report this is what I got:
Error Signature

BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : 80573886 BCP3 : F0690B9C
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1

Error Report Contents

C:\DOCUME~1\*******\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER309b.dir00\Mini040605-02.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\*******\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER309b.dir00\sysdata.xml
(******* = my name)

I don't know what to do, if I start it in safe mode will i lose any documents? and will there be a chance of my computer running better?

Or can I fix this problem somehow? i've deleted loads of unwanted music files and freed up space on my computer but I'm still getting the problem. I have windows xp home edition and a packard bell computer.

most of the times it doesn't crash it just swithes off on me and restarts itself.

sometimes though it freezes and I have no choice but to pull the plug out!
HELP!

thanks.

A:"Serious Error"-Error report-comp switches off- HELP!

You can stop it restarting, if that is what it is doing.
Turn off the reboot so you can read the Windows error message. to do so right click My Computer/ Properties/advanced/Startup & Recovery>Settings>System Failure>Uncheck Automatically restart and click OK. When you have the error message you should send it to Microsoft and then go to http://support.microsoft.com for details on the error. Microsoft may email if it is a known problem or will post responses on the website and keep them for 180 days. Or you can paste it on here for further advice.
To help us You could also do this -
Download HiJackThis here: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip
Unzip to a convenient permanent folder
For example: C:/HiJackThis/HiJackThis.exe
Double click HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan with log". Don't fix anything but post the log on here for analysis. (The log can be opened with wordpad)

I have had California Associates E-Trust Security Suite installed for a year -Program renewal time (this month) required a total uninstall/reinstall ( program/download is available from website but i ordered their CD).

While i can handle simple computer 'things' i'm not savy or 'brave' enough to have handled this install alone because files in Registry had to be deleted. I would never attempt that feat on my own!!! - LOL.

I'm happy to report that their tech support was fantastic and while i did have to wait for a call-back ''appointment' so a tech could devote the time to stay with me on the phone (offered) during the installation, it was worth the time !!

The support technician was wonderful, patient and even called me back several times later in the day after all was finished and working in case i had any problems/questions!!!

I can see that the new program is totally revised from the 06 version and working like a charm; very easy to use; configure and understand .. it even feels as if my computer is working 'faster' (loading web pages 'faster' with same dial-up connection speed) if that's possible !!?

I read also that E-Trust Security Suite is rated No. 2 after i did a Google Search for that type of product so i'm delighted i decided to stay with the company.

I've just recently encountered a baffling problem: I browse to some folders in Explorer, and the files I expect to see are all there. However, every app I've tried to open or otherwise load these files reports "File not found"!
Opening a cmd window and performing a Dir command also shows all the files.
I found a couple of apps that promise to reveal extended info about specified files, but when I navigate to these files and select one to process, both of these tools also report "File not found".
I've run chkdsk and other utils on the drive holding these files several times, and each time it reports no errors found.
I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 Pro SP1 with the latest updates.
WTF? Can anyone help me resolve this weird issue, please?

We have a input form that writes a date to a table for each day that a truck driver turns in his paperwork (actually a "drivers log" for those familiar with trucking). What I want to do is make a report based on the dates that the paperwork IS NOT turned in. How can I compare the data that I have in the table with a "calendar" and show what days are missing?
Thanks!

A:Report based on dates "missing" in an Access table

Depends. Is that field then NULL or does it have a default value or something?

You can try a query to find out. In that date field, put the criteria: is null

There's also "is not null" (for your info).

I'm trying to upgrade a 32 bit Vista Acer laptop to 32 bit Windows 7 using a USB stick.

When I boot from it and run the wizard, I get to a Compatibility Report page, that says "The computer started using the Windows installation disc. Remove the installation disc and restart your computer so that Windows starts normally..."

When I click 'Close' on that page, it takes me to the "Install Windows" page and when I click Install Now, it says "Setup is starting...", I accept the license terms, click 'upgrade,' and it takes me back to the Compatibility Report page again.

When I restart and remove the USB, obviously it restarts Vista.

What do I need to do to get around this?

Hi all.
I searched through the forum & didn't find any reports like this. A client's employee needed my help remotely via Teamviewer the last 24 hours. Old, old, old Pentium 4 PC running Win 7 32-bit; 512MB RAM (wth?)

The system is old, and was running even slower than it usually does (confirmed).
I cleaned out the PC:Malwarebytes found 20 infections -- clean it out.
Used CCleaner even though hard drive space is not an issue.
Ran AdwCleaner (will attach the logs when I regain access to the PC)
Ran a full scan with Trend Micro Housecall -- no infections.
Installed Windows Security Essentials - quick scan > no infections

The system is now running fast for a machine that old. Two persistent yet related problems, though ... When I try to download a safe file (CCleaner via filehippo, as a test), I get a false report that the file contains "a virus and was deleted."
In Chrome, I cannot install any extensions (tried Adblock Plus) -- the download is blocked due to another false virus report.

If anyone has seen this before & can recommend a fix, I'd appreciate the input. It is unusual behavior -- don't know if it's an unreported virus or something else, though.

Thank you!

I just found this in the related threads section. Will try tips in the thread when I get access to the PC.

Please run a full CHKDSK and SFC scan....

Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.

At the Command prompt, type

CHKDSK C: /R

and hit the Enter key.
You will be told that the drive is locked,
and the CHKDSK will run at he next boot - hit the Y key, press Enter, and then reboot.

The CHKDSK will take a few hours depending on the size of the drive, so be patient!

After the CHKDSK has run, Windows should boot normally (possibly after a second auto-reboot) -
then run the SFC.

SFC -System File Checker - Instructions
Click on Start > All Programs > Accessories
Right-click on the Command Prompt entry
Select Run as Administrator and accept the UAC prompt - the Elevated Command Prompt window should pop up.

At the Command prompt, type

SFC /SCANNOW

and hit the Enter key

Wait for the scan to finish - make a note of any error messages - and then reboot.
Copy the CBS.log file created (C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log) to your desktop (you can't manipulate it directly) and then compress the copy and upload it to your SkyDrive Public folder (http://skydrive.live.com ) and post a link to it so that I can take a look.

Post a new MGADiag report with details of any error messages encountered.

I have big trouble with my two units of Dell Precision 7510. I want to disable "Switchable graphics", because some OS do not support two graphics simultaneously. So, I have unchecked "Switchable graphics" in the BIOS settings, restarted and... display is gone. Notebook is working (system is booting in the background), display is back lighted, but nothing appears on the display. I have checked BIOS 1.10 and 1.20 on two units with identical configuration. I have been checking many times with different BIOS configurations. Always disabling "Switchable gprahics" makes system unusable.
In fact, I have successfully booted up one or two times with "Switchable graphics" BIOS option disabled. In that case the Intel P530 graphic card was disabled totally and AMD FirePro was running perfectly all uptime. Unfortunately, it was one or two times. 99,9% attempts were unsuccessful. When I disable "Switchable graphics" and restart, I get without-signal display. The only solution is reset BIOS setting to default by removing and putting back the coin battery.
Could anybody confirm that issue? My hardware configuration is Intel i5-6300HQ, AMD FirePro W5170M, 1x16 GB DDR non-ECC and UltraSharp IGZO-Display Ultra HD.

A:BUG REPORT: disable "Switchable graphics" make Dell Precision 7510 unusable

I also have almost the same issue with it. What I found out by now - if energy saving is on, you can let windows start (to the login screen that you don't see), close the display (enable standby), re-activate it, and mostly the display is coming after that. I never had to reset BIOS (v1.20) to make it work again.
As the screen itself is turning on (background led), i think the issue is about the connection from the AMD FirePro W5170M card to the display when switching is enabled. IGP isn't experiencing this issue at all.
What's also part of this issue is, when IGP is disabled, the display is flickering from time to time in Windows (Windows 7 x64). This issue neither changed when I updated the driver, nor was it affected by installing Catalyst.
At last I also saw 10-15% performance differences between the two modes (even if the application was run by the AMD GPU).
Our configuration is Intel i7-6820HQ, AMD FirePro W5170M, 1x16GB non-ECC, also with the UHD Display.

I am using:

Windows 7 Premium Home 64
First install, full retail bought in February 2012
HP Pavilion dm4

I can't seem to upload the System Health report but have included the other requested files.

BSOD appears without any apparent pattern. The last 2 days there have been 5 crashes.

Thanks in advance for the help.

A:Multiple BSOD showing "ntoskrnl.exe" in each report

All your drivers seem to be up to date so just make sure all Windows updates are installed including the latest Service Pack.

You should also update any other drivers you can think of including graphics, audio, chipset etc.

What anti-virus are you using? I can't seem to find one in your dump file.

Enable Driver Verifier. Enabling this should hopefully crash your system and then point to the faulty driver that is causing problems. However before you do, it is advised that you create a system restore point and backup first.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Finally, as you only recently bought the computer have you tried returning it to where you bought it from? IS it under warranty?

That was a useful tool for me to find out the info on all pictures from our websites, but I noticed it is missing in IE11 now.

Thanks!

Hi folks,
I am running Labview (NI (national instrument)) scripts on my Vista (Vostro 1520 Dell notebook). when my computer crashed last time (last week), all my Labview scripts still runs, but very slow. The Microsoft Windows keep sending me a message: "Ikads stopped working and was closed". Ikads is NI (national instrument) file and probably this problem is connected with Labview scripts operation.
I was trying to fix this problem, but without notable success so far. Can someone please advice me how to fix the Ikdas file?

Thanks Vladush

Hello, and thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer,

I've just put my new computer together, and after having quite a few headaches getting my OS / Drivers working (Finally got the system bootable and stable and drivers working, etc.) I discovered a new problem:

My event viewer had a ton of disk error 7's:
"The device, \0\Device\HardDisk0\[?] has a bad block"
(This is probably due to all the brute-force resets and shut-downs I had to do during all the headaches of getting everything working.)

I'm using Windows XP x64, and even though my system was stable I wanted to try to fix that "bad block" before the disk got too populated, and/or it started causing more problems, or god forbid, failing altogether.

I booted into the "Recovery Console" and ran "chkdsk c: /r" hoping to repair the bad sector. (I have never run chkdsk through the recovery console before.)

Here is my question:

After hitting [enter] on the command, I got only this:
"Volume created on 7/[?]/2010
The volume Serial number is: xxxxx-xxxx"
And nothing else. So, should I be seeing any progress report? Should I be seeing "60% checked, scanning..." or anything like that? Or does chkdsk just run without giving you any info whatsoever?
Now I'm worried. I know killing power during a chkdsk can potentially destroy a drive, so I've left the comp alone for a while (probably over an hour by now) and there is still ... Read more

"Registry Mechanic" was recommended here a while ago. I ran the trial version, which found 305 errors in the "deep scan." Can this be trusted to be true? There was one "shared programs" and 2 "shortcut" errors. If I ran repairs with the "registered" version, I would have a backup created first, of course.
Advice will be appreciated.

Have an issue that I have not been able to find a solution for, although logically it should exist.

Background:
-----------
DB is an Access 97.mdb
What exists and is working: Have a departmental directory application that I have hosted on
my web site. It is hierarchial in nature. On the web site, users select from various Headquarters Staff groups, Regional Staff or Stores located in a Region. Each is a separate page, and all is right with the world.

Personal background, wannabe techie... Can handle the simple Access 97 stuff. Moderately proficient
in VBScript, write average or better Javascript, decent HTML coder, MCSE (NT4) (lost my tech support for
my IIS box, so I had to learn it), and finished a VB6 intro class last spring... Can fight my way
through most VB6 low to mid stuff.. Although COLLECTIONS and CLASSES drive me "blind and a splitting headache to boot."

Problem Area:
-------------
Where I am having a problem is, upper management wants a directory laid out and published,
much like a phone book.

What was Requested:

Ideally, they want:

HQ Staff Groug 2

HQ Staff Group n
Region Staff 1
Stores in Region 1

Stores in Region n

[NOTE:

have asked me to post on these forms. Can someone please help me with this? I am not able to move forward because the error is pretty generic and doesn't give any additional details.

A:"Shields Up" Report - Is there anything to worry about?

Nothing to worry abot at all. Without that information the website doesn't know what your browser will accept. If you do not have the info sent to the site you will not get any images or text

Many of the browsing problems and lack of ability to go to certain sites as seen on this and other forums are being caused by various internet "security" programmes blocking needed browser referal headers

I would like to know if what I'm seeing is something to worry about. When I ran netstat without any browsers/programs open, I got the usual single line but with "localhost:ingreslock" under the foreign address column(close_wait under state). After opening a page in IE, I could not get that to show up again. I closed everything again, and still can't get it to show up. Upon coming to this site, I ran netstat again, this time getting 18 entries(all established state) with LB140.LSAG.COTENDO.net:http to show up. Another run gets the seemingly correct stuff(lax04s08-in-f171e100.net:http and https) with time_wait state. Further runs gives only the usual single entry but with localhost:2072 under the foreign address column.
I don't have any noticeable problems with the system or connection, other than having to occasionally reboot the modem(expected). Even if this isn't anything to worry about, would you please explain what causes :ingreslock to show up?
