Q: Intel i3 Video Card?Driver? Strange Problem

Well, it's not a problem (now). I'm playing old games and i got lags in places, where are many of 3D models and I'm having white spots/dots on them. Here's the pic:

Do I need to reinstall my Windows? Do i need to change my graphics card? Please, help me.

P.S. I didn't clean my PC engine about for years (from dust), it could be a problem?

P.S. 2

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 1302 MB.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

If the specs move with the models and their textures, it just looks like anomalies that the graphics card for whatever reason can't display right. If this doesn't do it on new games, I wouldn't be worried.

And it's always a good idea to keep a clean PC

If you haven't cleaned your PC for a while, it could have dust build-up causing it to overheat, hence the white dot artefacts. It could also just be poor models in the game. Its hard to say at this point.

Download Speccy here Speccy - System Information - Free Download and see what temperature your graphics card is running at, and report back here with that.

Did you try the Toshiba website? Since you did not specify the operating system this is the closest I could get: http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK

Be sure to enter the appropriate version of Windows in the box.

Also, it would have narrowed down the search if you could have provided the name of the country in which you bought the laptop.

Hai,
Kinldy help me to solve the 82845 driver installation problem. my PC was working excellently with windows 7. Thanking you.

A:intel 82845 video driver problem

Whats the problem, it doesn't install? Just install normally by double clicking the .exe, otherwise run in compatibility mode.

Compatibility Mode - Windows 7 Forums

if neither helps, use 7zip or whatever unzipper you use to extract the contents of the exe to a folder on the hard disk. Now, open device manager, locate the display driver entry (or scan for hardware changes), right click it, choose update driver and browse to the folder where you extracted.

If none of this works, you'll just need to locate another driver that works.

I have an nvidia 6800 GT. Over the last couple of days my computer has been having problems booting up. Sometimes it will go all the way until Windows should be coming on the screen and just stop and go black. Othertimes, once turned on, the power light on the monitor will just flash as if there isn't a signal (but no "No signal detected" message on the screen.

As of today, all I get is the flashing light and black screen. I put the card in two friend's computers and it worked fine. I put 2 different old nvidia cards in this computer and both booted up fine.

When trying the 6800 in the computer again, I got the same problem.

We're all stumped.

I am having a problem with my Intel 82852/82855 graphics card drivers. this started when I tried to update the driver. I downloaded the driver, and tried to update it by unzipping the file, and going to device manager, selecting the device, selecting update driver, and specifying the location. it worked pretty well, but right at the end of the proccess, where the bar was almos full, it stopped. the wizard told me that there had been an error while installing my hardware; "the specified file could not be found." however, I didn't see a file specified anywhere! also, after this, my video card, (or cards, I'm not sure; device manager shows two had the little yellow circle with and exclamation mark near it. I tried this several times, completely unninstalling the drivers from the add/remove program lists. I've even tried it with an older driver, but I get the same message. Please help me: I'm pretty desperate!

Hello everyone!

I recently came across a strange issue with my Windows 8.1 install. After some months working, the when i woke up the screen, sometimes the monitor glithces (boxes show up on screen) when something is refreshing on the screen, nothing when im not moving the mouse (doing nothing) on screen. It does it onlywhen im waking up the screen (not waking from sleep)

I did several tests accourding to the GPU power supply errors but nothing. Now i set the screen off timer to never and manually turning off the monitor.

What should be my next step with it? Its strange to me that it only does it in this situation, graphical performance in games, video editing is flawless.

The specs are :
Asus mobo

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525.
I seem to have broken my display when I was trying out the Intel GMA Driver's feature 'Flip 180' which supposedly flips the monitor's display. Instead it exhibited what would happen if you change your resolution to 640x480, with really large icons. I tried to restart the computer but when I checked in my display settings it says something like:

"The currently selected driver cannot be used. It was written for a previous version of Windows and is no longer compatible with this version.

The system has started using the default VGA driver."

And in my screen saver settings:
"The screen saver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct3D."

Aside from that, the computer works perfectly fine, but I don't want this to be a problem in the future. What happened here? Is there any way I could fix this?

Hi I have Lenovo IndeaCentre K210 system with 3GB RAM, 500G HD with the video adapter integrated in the Intel Chipset31/33.
I also have a Viewsonic VX2433 Model VS12324 monitor and the problem that I have is when I open some applications (like Taxcut), the lines on the display (screen), do not line up properly.
For example if there is a YES and NO box to be checked off, the YES box would line up next to the NO Box and the NO Box would line up under the NO box (next to nothing), instead of being next to the NO Box.

This is not only annoying but it is causing/creating problems especially when I work with with the Taxcut program becauses (with things not lined up properly), I am not sure where the correct entry should be made?
I updated the Viewsonic VX2433 driver and installed the most current Intel Chipset driver but the problem still continues.
I contacted Viewsonic and they advised me "the lining up of the boxes is coming not from the monitor but the incoming signal (video card issue)" so it appears that I may need to purchase a new video/graphics adapter and would appreciate your help.
My questions are:
- Do I really need a new video adaper?
- If so, WHAT video card would you suggest that I look at for a configuration of a Lenovo IdeaCentre K210 53134BU system with an integrated Intel Chipset31/33 (video adapter) and a Viewsonic display?

Thank you in advance for your help,
Bob

Soooo, let me get straight to the point.

I play lots of good ol' games. Usually, when I run games, sometimes, it may give me a white screen, and then promptly crashes the game. Then, when I try to re-open the game, it gives me this error. "Your video card does not support alpha blending with floating point render targets (D3DFMT_A16BG16R16F), which is required to run this game." (Mainly happens with SMITE). Thing is, when this happens, all other games also get affected by this, giving me video card errors and all that stuff. Halp ;-;

you might benefit from using a detonator destroyer program to remove all traces of the nvidia card drivers. Then delete the drivers that windows is installing and do not reboot. Trun off system restore then reboot. Install the standard VGA adaptor for windows then reboot.
Install your nvidia drivers then reboot.
Turn on system restore again.

I think installing the latest drivers for my new video card have caused a problem. When I was using some slightly older drivers (those that came with the BF2 demo), movies on my comp would play fine. Then I installed the new Nvidia driver (77.72) for my eVGA 256-A8-N344-AX Geforce 6800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card and now the colors are faded and pale. Though this is only for movies, my games play and look fine.

I would like to fix this. The first and obvious solution would be to use the drivers I was using before this. But, seeing as they were beta drivers that only came with the BF2 demo and there are problems with having the demo and full game on your comp and trying to get rid of just one, I'd rather not go back to those drivers. I've also always been under the impression that the latest drivers should always be used for all your hardware. So, how can I fix this and can it be done while keeping the 77.72 nvidia driver?

After that 1 video file, or randomly while viewing the library while playing music, it crashes the whole computer essentially. The screen blacks out and every 30 seconds cycles through off, the "step" up grey, and a washed out color, usually blue but lately kinda-orange.

Just wondering if someone can tell me why

About a month or alittle more ago this person that has a windows 98 computer was having a problem, where her computer would start up in safe mode once in awhile and even when it was in normal mode it would look like it does in safe mode. Anyway I got a newer driver for there video card and installed it and everything cleared up right away. everything was really good.

Today she called and said it started in safe mode and looked fuzzy.
I went over there and it was in normal mode but looked like it was in safe mode kind of the same thing as before.

I still had the new driver on a cd so I went to device manager and click on the display adapter and went to the driver part and clicked on new driver and pointed it toward the cdrom and it installed the driver again and everything cleared right back up like it did the first time it was installed.

The first time the driver need updateing it was old and never had been.
Why would it get corrupted now or what ever happened and then installed the new driver again took care of it. Is there another problem I should be looking at also? or am I going to have to keep reinstalling the driver? If it happens again. Can someone enlighten me?? Thanks

http://www.ati.com/support/drivers/...c&prod=products2kdriver&submit.x=4&submit.y=3

The DELL website would have the drivers for the old card under your system downloads.

Oh, wait this is a laptop isn't it? If so ignore everything above this.

You should have recieved a driver CD with the new card - you must run the setup on this CD to install the new drivers.

Hello, everyone!  I have problem with the driver for my Video Graphics Card. I'm with Windows 7 Ultimate x64, the video card is AMD Radeon 8750M and I don't know why the driver isn't working when I installed. Also I try with all drivers which I find  and still doesn't work.

Hello. I am currently running Windows XP Pro with SP2 on a Dell with P4 3GHz.

Since my computer came with onboard graphics, I bought a vision tek ati radeon 9250 with a pci interface (no agp slots on my motherboard) to replace it. After a difficult driver installation a few months ago, my computer was running fine. I then began playing GTA Vice City a few days ago and thats when my computer started acting up. My screen would go blank at random times, so I decided to try system restore. After system restore however, my monitor only began working in safe mode (after booting up in normal mode, my screen would always go blank after the windows xp sign showed up). I found it odd that my video card only seemed to be working in safe mode.

So thinking my video card might have melted, I pulled it out of the pci slot and examined it...and found that it looked fine (no damage). So then I went into safe mode, uninstalled all ATI related drivers and software (while keeping my onboard graphics driver intact), restarted the computer and entered safe mode again, and tried to install the newest drivers from vision teks website. However, after extracting the driver...the auto intall program would initialize and then give me the following errors:

INF error, video driver not found

Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup.

I tried installing the drivers from the CD that came with the video card... Read more

A:Problem installing video card driver!!!

problem fixed

PROBLEM FIXED!!!!! Thanks for the responses guys, I actually used Driver cleaner and the driver still wasn't installing. So I called Vision Tek again for help (like the fifth time this week) and I finally got a technician who knew what the error message meant. The solution was pretty simple: disable the onboard graphics driver, eventhough Dell told me that setting the graphics option to "auto" in bios would be enough and I should not disable the onboard graphics driver. When I told the vision tek technician that Dell told me that I didn't have to do that and that the motherboard should recognize the new video card in my pci slot and automatically disable the onboard graphics, the technician laughed and said Dell technicians were *****s. So I tried his advice (uninstalled all old ATI drivers and then disabled the onboard driver through device manager) then restarted the computer and just like that I got picture in normal mode, and I was able to install the new ati drivers without the error message.

What a relieff!!!

If anyone else is getting "INF error, video driver not found" I guess the best thing to do is to disable the onboard graphics driver through device manager (and of course set it off or to auto in bios), EVEN IF DELL TECHNICIANS SAY YOU DONT HAVE TO...they obviously don't know what they're talking about.

Thanks again everyone!

i've had an ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series video card for a while, and i decided to update my drivers today, install seemed fine, it brought up Catalyst Control Center, but now when i log on to my game(World of Warcraft) the letters in chat are all messed up with random symbols. When i scroll through the chat it goes back and forth between these symbols, and regular letters. i have a Vista, and i attached a file showing the problem. so far i've only disabled Anti-Aliasing on Catalyst Control Center, everything else is default

A:Video Card Driver Update Caused Problem

Try going into device manager (rt click computer then properties, then hardware or device manager depending on your OS), rt click your display adapter, then properties, click on drivers tab and select 'roll back driver'.
If this fixes your problem you will know it was the driver update that screwed it up, otherwise it may be your card that has become faulty.

Use the Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit, but Aero is enabled and whenever I want to do comes to me this:

The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver.

Hi,

I used to play games for hours in my laptop. Now if I run any game whether new or old, it runs for a minute or two and then my pc shuts down. No shut down procedure or any such thing, just turns off.

I tried installing different versions of Driver available for my NVIDIA GEForce GT 540M and the results were the same.

When I uninstall all the NVIDIA drivers then the games work fine but they use the intel graphics and not the video card so the quality is quite poor with much lag and stutter. So, it must be a problem with either the video card or some software problem. I was thinking of reinstalling windows but thought of consulting you guys before. Any suggestions?

P.S. It's not overheating issue, I thoroughly checked.

My PC Specs:
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 10 Home, 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 42 Stepping 7
Processor Count: 8
RAM: 8086 Mb

I purchased a 3Dfuzion 6200 LE graphics card about a months ago and installed it on a brand new Nvidia based MSI K8N Neo4-f motherboard with AMD 64X2 3200 Processor. I am running Windows XP with all of the latest updates.

After installing the graphics card and the driver from the included CD, I went to the Device Manager and looked under "Display Adapters". It said I had an Nvidia GeForce 7300 LE Graphics card. I uninstalled the driver and went over to www.nvidia.com and downloaded the latest driver for the GeForce 6200 LE and installed it. I went back to the Device Manager and it said the same thing as before. Thinking that maybe the card might have accidentally gotten switched at the factory and it was actually a GeForce 7300 LE instead of a GeForce 6200 LE that was in the box, I open the case and looked at the card itself to see what was written on it. It very clearly say GeForce 6200 LE on the graphics card itself. I decided to leave well enough alone. If the card was working okay, why worry about what it say in the device manager? But the problem is that everything is not alright. Certain graphics applications run just fine where others cause the system to crash, and yet others reveal definite graphics problems (Distorted text, wrong colors etc.). All of these programs were working fine before I installed the 3Dfuzion GeForce 6200 LE card.

So the bottom line is, something is wrong. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics driver over 1... Read more

Hi there,
i recently installed a nVidia quadro fx 1700 in my dell optiplex760 MT, i have installed windows 8.1 on it
but the correct drivers were not available on the windows so i downloaded the drivers from official website, when i installed the driver, some green and red lined blocks appeared on the screen. When i roll back the drivers the blocks disappear.
can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

A:Video Graphics Card driver problem Optiplex760 MT

It appears that you have solved the issue through your own troubleshooting. You tested the newest Nvidia driver which showed the issue while an older driver did not, so the fault is with the newer driver, not the video card or the operating system. All you can do is wait for Nvidia to come out with another driver to test.

Hello all! I just re-formatted my system. Win 95/200mhz 64 ram. I have an Iomagic video card and downloaded the drivers, but when I restart, the screen stays blank. I believe it is my monitors refresher rate. My default setting now is standard display adapter vga. Problem is I dont know what kind of monitor this is!!!!!! It was one of those no-names that I got at an office store. It had one page of instructions, and that I can not find. No name on the back of it or anywhere else I see. Is there a site that has generic drivers that I can get more than the basic 16 colors I now do? The drivers on my win95 cd do nothing. Is this even my problem, or am I way off? As usual, thanks for the help! Mike.

Had no issues for a long time then started to have some freezing and crashing to desktop problems with video games (The Witcher, Guild Wars 2, etc.) as well as Nvidia drivers failing and then recovering (causing the video in games to freeze and Firefox to turn all white).

Eventually I decided to get a new video card (went from a GTX 660 to a MSI R9 290) and a new 750 watt psu for the new card (Corsair CX750M). I uninstalled all Nvidia drivers and installed the latest drivers from AMD.

Now I along with the other problems I also have the problem of the computer freezing at (as far as I can tell) random times. My only recourse is to restart at that point. The freezing occurs between 3 minutes and 1/2 hour from start up.

Have done/tried the below:
I do not over clock.
I have checked my RAM with Memtest86+ and it passes with flying colors.
Checked RAM timings in the BIOS. They were fine.
I have updated my BIOS (no freezing for 30 minutes made me think that was it....then it started freezing again).
Tried installing earlier drivers for the R9 290.
I have done an 'upgrade' to Win7 to see if that would fix the issue. I would like to avoid a clean install if at all possible.
I have looked at temperatures and see no issues. At the last crash, while watching a youtube video:
CPU - 35 C
Motherboard - 27 C
GPU - 40 C
Hard drives - 37 C, 34 C, 35 C

When in safe mode or when the AMD drivers are uninstalled and it is running off the motherboard default drivers there are no issues.

A:Win 7 freezing randomly. Possible video card/driver problem?

Well thanks for all the help and support...... :-/

For anyone experiencing something similar; my problem was that the PCIe slot that the video card was plugged into was bad / damaged. When I plugged the card into the other PCIe x16 slot everything worked fine.

So there you go. I guess not everything is a software issue.

Hey guys,

A few years ago I bought an Alienware M17X which has two HD Radeon 4870 mounted in crossfire (I know I should have bough a desktop but had to move quite a lot at the time).

My problem is that the only drivers I can use up to now is the last one certified by Alienware dating 2010. There are more recent ones (2013) but everytime I try to update blue screens of death and brutal crashes occur every minute.

As you can imagine, the compatibility problems keep accumulating. Would somebody have some advice as to getting me to use the 2013 drivers ?

Thanks in advance ;-)

A:Problem updating video card driver Dual Radeon HD 4870

Go to AMD Site and search for Legacy Drivers, AMD stopped support for DX 10.1 graphics card in around 2012-2013 or better yet stick with the drivers that came from alienware.

Btw, is this what you are using right now? Product Support | Dell US

Hey what's up ,
i am having a problem that almost get me insane, i have a laptop (Toshiba Satellite L70-A-13P) well it's my friend laptop, it's been more than 2 weaks that i am triying to install drivers for it ,but what i am stuck at is the driver for the Graphic Card i've been looking for a long time for a compatible one ,and somehow i've managed to do that, but now i am facing a problem that everytime i tried to install it ,it gave me this error message "you must install intel driver first" and for me i gues all the dirvers are installed; what make me sure of that is that i've tried some website and 2 programs to detect drivers and they all gave the result that all the drivers are okay , what should i do now to make the driver work for my Graphic Design since i can't play any video game please if anyone has any idea please give me a hand much appreciated thanks in advance.

A:Graphic Card Driver (you must install intel driver first)

Hi Serious Gamer,

You could try running the Intel Driver Update Utility. Completely safe directly from the Intel site, it should find any drivers that our out of date and update them. Intel® Driver Update Utility

I know you said you ran multiple programs like that and if you've already tried that one, just let me know. I was trying to find a specifications sheet about your friends laptop, best I could find was this. Product data-sheet Toshiba Satellite L70-A-13P notebooks (PSKNEE-03X02WFR)

Does his laptop have the discrete graphics card or the on-board graphics?

Intel ended support for this device after XP release, neither vista or windows 7 will work with this device , it will set the resolution up to 640x480 and you cannot change it, so don't try to install it on this oldie adapter.

my two cents.

A:Intel 845 video driver

Actually that is wrong information, I have Intel 845 adapter and I can view resolutions from 640-480 all the way to 1280-1024 .
