I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello anyone that can help. I have an HP laptop with XP and it was just swiped recently by an ATT tech because I had a virus problem and use ATTUverse. He save what needed alright, but a day later I couldn't send email. I can receive it just not send it or reply to anyone. We went in and checked and unchecked boxes and he still can't fix it. I use outlook express as default. My work email is different and is in Yahoo, but I can check that here, too, but it won't let me send either. the error that comes up is
'Connection to server has failed. Account: 'Home' , Server: 'smtp. att.yahoo.com,' Protocol: SMTP, Port 25, Secure (SSL): No Socket Error: 10060 Error Number 0x800cccoe.
That's it. Everything else seems to be ok at this point. I just can't send or reply to email.
Thank you for any help to fix this.

Recently.... my PC was down for awhile due to a missing DLL file that I finally got resolved and everything is back to normal except that all of my Outlook Express mail was missing. Well... because I have been through this in the past I was able to recover the mail because somehow the DBX folders were in the wrong location. So.. I got my mail back.

Anyway... Now, I have no problems receiving email but I cannot send any emails. I get the following error message.....

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop.peopc.com', Server: 'smtpauth.peoplepc.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 587, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
I have sent several letters to PeoplePC tech support that had me making sure all of my settings were intact such as server names, port numbers etc.... and I checked and made sure they were. Then they told me to change some of my dial-up numbers... which I did.

Well.... it's been almost a week now and I can still RECEIVE email, but cannot send it. I even tried to create a new identity in OE... same result.

I don't know what to do next and their tech support is not the best.

Any ideas as to what may be going on here?

Thank You

I am using Windows XP and Outlook 2003. Recently some emails have become stuck in my outbox and appear to be trying to send but never leave my send box -- yet the recipients report receiving the email over and over -- sometimes reporting over 25 times until they call to say "stop it already"!!! I have eventually had to delete the message to stop it from sending. Most of these messages have attachments, but not always. Please help before my friends and colleagues ban me!!

Also, when I click on a link in an email in OE, Netscape wants to come up. Firefox is my default browser. I have two other comps, WinMe and 98 - don't have that problem with them. Where is the setting that tells OE to open the link in Firefox?

A:Solved: Trouble sending email from OE

in ie it's tools/options/programs/email and select want you want as default.

probably the same kind of shuffle in firefox but i don't use it.

for email links to open in netscape, netscape is the default browser by a selection you made or defaulted too whan netscape was added.

multiple browsers lead to multple problems, that's why i use ie exclusively.

Used to be when I create a new email message & click Send it goes out right away. Now when I create a new email message & click Send it goes to the Outbox, then I must go to Tools menu, click Send to get the message to transmit. When I reply to an email it goes right away.

Could this have anything to do with updates to my system? Or is this a separate issue? Do you have any suggestions?

Yesterday, Outlook Express 6 started sending 5 or 6 copies of the same email to each addressee. I ran virus scan, spysweeper, ccleaner, spybot, defragged; and it seemed to be working correctly this a.m.; however, this afternoon the same thing happened. OE also hangs up on the sending. I spoke with Comcast tech support without any solution. Their suggestion was to use webmail for a while and see if the same problem happens and then it will be their problem; otherwise, it is an OE problem. This is on my husband's computer and the problem doesn't appear to be with my computer; so I am assuming that it is OE that is the problem. Where do I start? Uninstall and reinstall OE? Or is there a simpler solution that I haven't found yet?

A:Solved: VPN DSL Outlook = No sending email

Hi sideswipess

What version of Outlook is she using?
Check in the e-mail account settings under Connections, is it set to only Send/Receive using VPN?

She may need to change the connection to Use my local area network (LAN) once she disconnects from VPN.

Does she receive any error messages? If so, please post the exact error message.

Something I have never tried, setup duplicate e-mail accounts and configure them to use the (LAN) connection, their account names could be appended with Home to avoid duplicate names.

If she wants to keep her work and home accounts separate, creating another profile in Outlook can help with that.

I would like to send a 60 MB audio attatchment (MP3), but this exceeds the maximum message size allowed for my recipients. What is the best method of getting this size audio clip to someone short of burning it on a CD and mailing it to them?

If the only way is dividing the audio into 2 or more segments and and sending multiple messages, I will try that route, but I do not think I have software to cut up the clip to smaller segments. The original source is thirty minutes on a cassette tape. I could re-record in smaller segments if that is the only way. Any other ideas?

you can use winzip or i use izarc http://www.izarc.org/ free

create a multiple-volume set
and choose the size - probably 5MB as some email servers are quite small

you could simple put it onto a file share , like dropbox, onedrive, googledrive or other file sharing services on the web, and share the file with the other person

Make sure the audio is not subject to any copyright

Microsoft excel 2003 (as part of microsoft office 2003 small business edition), on XP professional 2002 service pack 3.

I have a spreadsheet on which it looks as though I must have pressed "send to mail recipient", by mistake, because it now always displays with the fields "To:" etc, using up several lines. How do I get rid of all that? I can't find a cancel facility. One option I suppose would be just to send it to myself, but that would involve setting up outlook, and I don't know how to do that, given than I only ever use webmail (googlemail as it happens). I did just try setting it up with completely fictitious info, but it was too clever for me, and recognised that it couldn't achieve sending that way, so kept displaying all the stuff I don't want.

I have a report from a table that stores sensitive information. I know that an report can be emailed with this:

Private Sub Command10_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_Command10_Click

Dim stDocName As String

stDocName = "tblPanic"
DoCmd.SendObject acReport, stDocName

Exit Sub

MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_Command10_Click

End Sub

When that command button is pushed a Select Format box comes up first and then (after selection) it opens up Outlook with the report as an attachment. Is it possible to set the default Select Format to Rich Text Format and skip that dialog? And also the recipiant will allways be the same person, is it possible to fill in the recipient mailbox name and the subject automaticaly?

Never mind, I figured it out. It took me a while because I thought there was a send mail macro available in Access. It wasn't listed on the macro list but the Command Button Wizard will set it up for you. That is the code I put in the first post. Not satisfied with the results I was getting I went on a search for a better way, and that is when I ran across the SendObject command. It works great!

DoCmd.SendObject acReport, "tblPanic", "RichTextFormat(*.rtf)", "[email protected]", "", "", "Estimate Tracking", "", False, ""

Hi all,

I use the following code to send a Excel workbook via Email.

Private Sub Mail_workbook_1_Click()
'Working in 97-2010

Set wb = ActiveWorkbook

If Val(Application.Version) >= 12 Then

"be no VBA code in the file you send. Save the" & vbNewLine & _
"file first as xlsm and then try the macro again.", vbInformation
Exit Sub
End If
End If

On Error Resume Next
For I = 1 To 3
wb.SendMail "[email protected]", _
If Err.Number = 0 Then Exit For
Next I
On Error GoTo 0
End Sub
It does the trick for so far, but it sends the e-mail directly, without showing the E-mail itself first (only a notifications shows up which tells you some program is trying to send an email).
I would like to manually select Send in the E-mailmessage, so our customers are sure that the e-mail is send correctly.

How do I change this?

Hi All,

Im not quite sure if this is the correct forum but here goes.

I recently had to replace my hard drive and before I did, I transfered all my music files to my wifes laptop via our homenetwork.

Well now I have having trouble setting up the network to share files. Thats fine I can live with that.

The problem I am having now is, how can I get my music back on my computer?

When I put it all on my wife's laptop I just created my own folder. So I thought maybe I could right click on the folder>click compress>and then send the compressed folder via email.

Got an error saying not enough memory.

Is there something else I need to do or another program I need to use?

I use Outlook for email, from Office 2007 Professional because the accounting program and my Palm Pro PDA likes it.

Just recently I have had a couple of complaints that emails with a video attached I have forwarded have been delivered to the addressee in excess of 30 or 40 times.

The latest was last night when one of my sons said he had received it 104 times, and another friend in the USA 99 times, needless to say both aren't happy, the video was a wmv (3mb).

When my son called me a an hour or so later it was still in my outgoing mail box, obviously because it was still sending.

I have run full AV scan using Esset Nod32 which came up clean, so I’m at a loss where else the problem is or where/what to look for.

Thunderbird email sending from deleted account?
New here, so if I'm in the incorrect spot, please forgive me.

I've been sending mail on my thunderbird account (which I've had for years now) and was confused because of no replies to urgent mails. One sent to my hubby was questioned...why did I send it from our deleted business account?

OK....all my 'sent' messages are from me. But for some reason, even though I deleted the business account from Thunderbird MONTHS ago when our business was dissolved, the 'sent from' address is from the deleted account even though it shows as the account from my personal account on my mail page. MY account says it was sent from me, but the recipient has the deleted address listed as the sender.

Frustrating...especially since the past two weeks I'm wondering why people aren't answering! When the hit the 'reply' button, it's going to the Thunderbird's deleted account. Why is it sending from the deleted account when it's not on Thunderbird any more?

HELP! I've changed nothing recently! And I can't even get to the old address on Thunderbird, but it is still active on the original G-mail for record keeping purposes only.

A:[SOLVED] Thunderbird email sending from deleted account?

Something that can be a little confusing about Thunderbird, is that the settings for outgoing mail servers is separate from incoming.

In the account settings for Thunderbird, at the bottom, should be something about SMTP or outgoing servers. I forget off the top of my head, and I'm at work where I'm stuck with Outlook. In any case, you need to go in there and make sure that the settings for the defunct business account are deleted, or at least not set as the default.

I store and view pictures on my computer with "Windows Live Photo Gallery" (WLFG) and do email with "Outlook", which is selected as my email program of choice. In fact, I don't have any other email programs on my machine.

If I select pictures from my files, there is a button on WLFG which says "email". When you press it, a window comes up headed "Preparing files" and you then chose the file size and press "attach", when the file/s are supposedly attached to a new email ready for sending. This is what I gather from the help file. However, the new email is nowhere to be found. I have searched for it in Outlook, and in WLFG, but it seems it has never been created.

Any ideas?

Try this method which involves opening WLM first and starting a new message: http://email.about.com/od/livemaild...Gallery-But-With-Effects-In-Win-Live-Mail.htm

My antivirus software is showing that I'm sending email that I'm not sending! I don't even know where it is sending from. And it is yucky SPAM headlines that it looks like it is sending. I use AVAST anitvirus. I'm on a wireless laptop running xp home. Microsoft outlook express and hotmail and gmail are the email accounts that I use.

What to do?

i have been trying to fix my email/outlook spam issue.  emails are going out WITH my actual email address, sending emails to people in my contacts, etc.
I also have been getting a ton of spam emails myself.
I use:
-Windows 7 Pro
-64 Bit
-Outlook 2010
-I have our own domain name email address, that is hosted by Frontier
Odd thing:  I changed my password for my email, but my outlook kept sending/receiving with the old password.
When I tried to update  the new password in outlook (which I verified by using the webmail versus outlook), it would not accept it.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Intermittently, Outlook 2007 will crash while sending an email and, needless to say, the email is not sent. However I wanted to know if there is a temp or backup copy of that mail anywhere. I've looked in drafts and it's not there.

I've sometimes typed a very long email and then lost the whole email when Outlook crashes so I just wanted to know if, like Word, there is a temp file that may be created.

Hi cp, welcome to TSG. Do you have Autosave enabled for Outlook? If not, perhaps this link will help.

Good morning, people,

One of my users here is having a wierd issue with her Outlook program...Every time she sends an email out, a .txt file of that email is sent as an attachment to that email.

So an email saying, "Greetings!", has the text file attached that says, "Greetings!".

Any ideas?

A:Outlook sending a copy of email w/email

Must be set to send in both plain text and HTML? But I thought in that case that it was done the other way around...

Turn off one or the other in the E-mail options, would be my guess.

This should be a basic question but I could not find the answer in Outlook Express Help. Using Outlook Express. When I send out a group email, is there a way to just have the name of the group in the "TO" box, for instance "Friends" At present, Outlook Express spells out each and every email address and this upsets some recipients.
Thank you.
