I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hey all, I've recently bought the L340-15IRH model and I'm in love with it! Since I bought it from Germany though, the keyboard layout is qwertz and I'd like to replace it with a qwerty one, but I am having trouble finding such. Could someone please point me to where I could buy a compatible keyboard? Thanks!

Hi, I recently bought the l340-I5RH (Gaming laptop, 9th gen i5, GTX 1650), and I noticed that the touchpad seems to be pretty bad in a couple different ways. The first thing I noticed was that the touchpad feels sort of "loose", the physical touchpad plate seems to descend slightly even upon light presses that don't trigger a click. Secondly, I'm unable to move the cursor using the touchpad while during any sort of keypress. This is an issue in things like simple games (Obviously, only the type that I would play with a touchpad, using a USB mouse is fine). I looked into it and it seems like an intentional feature, something about accidental palm movement while typing; however, I followed multiple sets of directions in pursuit of disabling, but my device seems to be missing the options set to remove the function.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I got gifted a IdeaPad L340-17API for my birthday as my old computer died, I still haven't finished setting it up because I can't figure out how to change the scroll direction and it's driving me nuts. There's no convenient button under the Windows settings like there is on most computers and the "additional settings" box does not have a tab for touchpad driver settings (e.g. Elan), I've updated all the drivers, restarted the machine several times, searched the computer for any touchpad or mouse settings and scoured most of Google. Please help, I can't work under these conditions

I bought my ideapad l340 a week before i left on a 3 months trip, so 2 weeks ago. It worked at first but now the keyboard is going crazy. No respons on typing, but it?s typing zero?s itself, continuously. So can?t get in, cause i can?t type my password. It worked once (trying for days now) so i updated stuff, see if it were drivers, it said it updated the bios, and then it rebooted, i had to login again.. and i got the zero?s back. It?s not the zero button that got stuck, it doesn?t feel stuck. So can?t go to the store since i?m a long way from home, does anyone have an idea what i can do?

Hi All,I am trying to figure out what the max ram is for my machine:L340-15IRH Gaming Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81LKMachine Type Model:81LK00SRCFProcessor: 1x Intel Core i7-9750H Processor(Core i7-9750H)Memory: 1x 16GBDDR42400Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64(EN:English,FR:French)Hard Drive: 1x 1TBPCIeNVMeWireless Network: 1x Intel Wireless-AC 9560 2x2 AC+BT5.0Ports: 1x Combo of 3.5mm Stereo Headphone OutputCamera: 1x 720P Camera with Dual MicGraphics: 1x NVIDIA GTX 1650Monitor: 15.6 1920x1080Included Warranty: 1 Year Mail-inAs far as I can tell, the manufacture recommended is 16, which is what it came with. But it seems like it is fairly new (I think it was manufactured in Dec 2019), so I am wondering if the info that I am reading is for older models, because I have seen a lot of different configurations for this laptop online, and not many come with more than 8gb.According to crucial it maxes out at 16 or 20; I guess some motherboaerds have an extra 4gb soldered to the board, as far as i can tell mine does not.PHS memory, on amazon.uk say its 36gb! That is probably 32+4 if you have it soldered to your motherboard; so 32 in my case. If it can handle more than recommended, I wouldnt mind giving it a go, but I would be inclined to order a comparable part from crucial instead of this cheap stuff. Does anyone have experience with upgrading past 16gb, or know if it might work? Thanks in advance!

A:L340-15IRH Gaming Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81LK Ram Upgrade

If I remember correctly, the motherboard of L340 actually supports up to 32GB RAM. While I can't be certain since this is never officially documented.

Ok, I plugged my iPhone into a USB port on my Trianium hub, plugged into the USB-C on my T580 (the good one, not the one in back next to the display hinge). I got a pop-up: "Lenovo Hardware Setting detects USB devices.  By default, USB charge from the computer battery is disabled when the computer is turned off.  To enable this function, click Yes." Enable WHICH function?  The default function of disabling the charge when the computer is turned off? Or the function of allowing the USB to charge when the computer is turned off?   And, why was this triggered via a USB port on a hub connected to the USB-C?  Can THAT be configured to charge things even when the computer is off?  Does the function only apply to the actual USB port on the right side that has the little battery icon?   I'm so confused.

I've had my Ideapad y510p for about 2 years and recently the charger stopped working.  At first it just needed to be re-plugged in, then it needed to be plugged it at weird angles and held up to charge, then it had to be in the exact right position, with no motion.  Then it just stopped charging.   From what I've read it sounds like this may be a problem with the port, not the charger, but I've tried using a charger that fits my computer but isn't the right voltage/wattage (or w/e) and it will charge for a time, then stop, then continue to charge if I plug it into a new socket. I tested it by taking out the battery and turning it on: with the inappropriate charger, it'll still work, with the old charger, it won't turn on.   As far as I can tell, there's no physical damage to the charger, though it's possible it might have been dropped or mishandled when traveling with it.  I know for a fact I've dropped my computer several times, but I've never had charging problems immediate after, and all those instances were a good while back.   So is it more likely that my computer is the problem, or just the charger?  I still have the warranty on my laptop; if that's the problem, can I get it fixed?

Hello. I have had my Flex 5 for about a year now and it has run well up to this point, but yesterday evening I noticed that the battery was not charging while plugged in. I am using the AC adapter which originally came with the laptop. When plugged in, the battery status icon very rapidly (on the order of 1-2 seconds) cycles between "Plugged in, charging" and "Not plugged in," with the battery status light on the side of the computer blinking white accordingly, for about 1 minute before finally settling on "Not plugged in" with a blinking red battery status light. Unplugging and plugging the adapter back in repeats this cycle. This renders me unable to charge the laptop for any extended period. I am unsure what to do next as the battery is interior and not easily removable.

Hi,Today I received a package containing my brand new laptop, the Ideapad 510-15IKB. Full of excitement, I unboxed it and turned it on, tried to proceed with installing windows 10. The first reboot came, but the laptop stayed off. I noticed, then, that the led which should have been lit orange, near where the AC adapter plugs in, wasn't on (although the laptop was plugged in). I checked the cable and it does transmit the AC, so the problem is probably with the laptop. Does anyone know if there is any possibility of it being fixable without opening the laptop up myself? I've already contacted the dealer and I'll send it back to them, but I just wanted to first check if there may be anything worth trying by myself. I read that for some older (I think?) laptops, you could perform some sort of reset by pressing the on/off button for 4 seconds, with the battery and the AC adapter out of the laptop, but with this model, the battery can't be taken out, so...Thanks in advance for any response and sorry if my "briefing" was a bit too long lol. Cheers!Alex

I have an IdeaPad 500.  The A/C charger is "plugged in" and the icon says it is "charging" but there is no charge to the battery, which is now at 53% (it was 55% yesterday).   I have gone to the forum and done what they suggest (e.g. turned off the Conservation Mode).  Unlike most questions on the forum, my system says "charging" rather than "not charging".  And because it is an IdeaPad, I cannot remove the battery (at least not without opening up the case).  I am a bit worried this is a hardware/battery failure -- but I hope this forum might give me a software fix

Thanks in advance

I have two Lenovo Y40-70 computers that I purchased within a couple weeks of each other.  They came with Windows 8.1 but I upgraded to Windows 10. A few months ago, I noticed that my computer battery meter was reading 100% for an hour.  I continued to work unplugged until the battery died while still reading 100%.  I recharged and the battery again read 100% for more than a couple hours, then died.  So the battery lifetime is as good as always, but the reading is not right.  When I reboot, it still reads 100%. Strangely, the second system, whcih I had not used for a while, was OK, but a few days later, it started doing the same thing (though it was reading 87%, the charge when the computer last worked right.  I suscpect that this happened after a critical update, which the second system went through later. Recently, I downloaded from the Lenovo website the newer power management software on both computers, and it did not help. Then I noticed the Battery recall so downloaded the "Lenovo Battery Utility 2015" to see if my system was afffected by the problem.  When I run the utility, I get the mssage "No Battery Detect."  So it would appear that there may be an issue with the software detecting the batter. Since I can't know the state of the battery (it appears to not want to recharge until it's empty, I gues because it thinks it's 100% charged), I cannot count on this computer when it's not plugged in. Now I ... Just received my new notebook and am extremely happy with it, execept for the battery indicator. The effective charge reamining, fluctuates by a wide margin, suddenly jumping from 4 hours remaining - to 3 hours - to 6 hours in a matter of minutes! The PC was left in idle state with no processing happening whatsoever. at 100% charge it shows 5 hours 6 mts of remaining time, as the charge drops to 97% after 5 mins of idle, the remaining time changes to 2 hrs 34 mins and at 94% charge after another 5 mins, it shows 7 hr 20 mins of remianing time! I called Lenovo service and after one hour of trying this and and that, they offered to replace the PC with a comment that battery takes 1 week to settle down and stabilise! I find that a bit out of the ordinary. My config is 710S, i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Windows 10, with Lenovo optimiser loaded. (The battery gauge reset, suggested by service is missing in this version - the service staff themselves could not find it).  Is anyone else having similar issues?

I recently bought ideapad 320-15ikb. When I play a game like GTA5 on battery it lags in the middle of gameplay and after 30-45 sec again it runs smoothly. But when I play games with AC adapter plugged in, it runs smoothly. But simultaneously it does not charge the battery. eg. If I connect adaptor on battery 28%, it will stays on 28% untill I exit the game (But it shows, plugged in and charging, in battery notifications). As soon as I exit the game it starts charging. Is it normal?

A:ideapad 320-15ikb does not charge while playing games, is it normal?

So its normal for the laptop to be plugged in and not charging at times. Most laptops will allow for some battery discharging before starting to charge again. As for performance battery vs AC power. Your profiles for power based on battery or AC power can determine hardware settings. So its possible on battery the profile limits CPU speed or even changes graphics clock to save battery. Pretty much why gamers in general play games on AC and set profile for power to performance. This helps prevent underclocking CPU or GPU.

I bought this laptop (Ideapad 100s-14IBR) about 2 weeks ago. First I fully restore Windows 10 to start fresh but after a while I notice that when I charge my laptop, it will stop at 80%. It will not charge to 100%. I looked up on the internet and many suggest that it has something to do with the energy management setup. Suppose it  there are two option 1. fully use the battery 2. optimise the battery life. A:Lenovo Ideapad 100s 14 inch won't fully charge on ...

Hi Luciu,

Welcome to the Lenovo community!

System Tray > Lenovo Energy Management > Go to Settings > Turn OFF Conservation Mode > Remove AC adapter > Reinstall AC adapter > It should charge up to 100%.

Also, please do check that under the battery menu in Lenovo energy management, IT IS SET TO 'MAXIMUM BATTERY LIFE' to enable charging to 100%, not Optimised battery health as this will allow your battery to have a longer lifespan.

When i clicked on the battery, and selected "More Power Options," then clicked "change power plan settings" and then I went to "advanced power settings." There is a tab there for Lenovo Energy Management and you have to click "Enable Lenovo Energy Management." Then it pops up.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,
Shashi

A:Ideapad Z400, Z500, Z510 battery will not charge -...

Hi CuriousFox ,

Greetings.

To isolate fastest is to have another battery to use or charging the original battery on a known working compatible laptop.
The power checkout guide of the hardware machine manual provides steps to check battery charging integrity (example form Z510 manual page 21) .

You can also try plugging the laptop but not turning it on for 1-2 hours checking if there would be changes with the battery indicator LED.

Would it be the same using similar energy manager and operating system that came originally with the machine?
How is the battery health and battery report?

Update us how it goes.
