.DST conversion help

Q: .DST conversion help

Hello all. My neighbour is a huge history buff and a hat collector, and he wanted to print himself some hats to do with history and Canada. He went to the local Lids store and they told him he needed a .DST file, so he asked for my help. I did a Google search and ended up here. Here are the 3 images he was looking to get on 3 different hats.

For the last image, the one of the great lakes, also maybe some text below it that simply says The Great Lakes.

He isn't too picky about these, they just need to be able to fit on baseball caps. He doesn't care about fonts or anything, just that The War of 1812 hat has red lettering.

If anyone would be be able to help me or point me in the right direction, I'd be very grateful. I'm also more than willing to pay people for their time, as long as they let me know their price range beforehand.

Thanks very much for taking the time to read this.

Preferred Solution: .DST conversion help

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: .DST conversion help

Here's a screen shot and a zip file with the DST and color chart for the Great Lakes. The other two are more detailed than I can donate time to so you may need to have LIDS do the digitizing on those. They will need the contents of the zip file to do the hat.

At first, I don't need to recover my data, I just want my drive back to re-use it.
How can a format my usb drive including all boot sectors which sees to be locked/write-protected by bitlocker?

My problem starts with decrypting my drive by deactivting bitlocker on it by entering the valid password/recovery key. At 36% of decryption the process halts without reason. Now, I'm unable to access my drive or resume the process.

I tried...
    ...to format with windows
   ..remove with diskmgmt
   ... remove with diskpart
   ... repair-bde
   ... manage-bde
   ... ubuntu live cd
... mass production tool software, to override the whole stick

nothing worked. The only thing which worked was once the software M3 Bitlocker recovery Free, but just one time to access the locked partition. But, as mentioned I don't need to recover my data. With that tool I'm not able to wipe the drive.

That Bitlocker protects my data till the end is good, but that it breaks my data and my hardware in such a case is not fair.
How can I break the write-protection mode to finally wipe the hard drive?

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 with a 1.5 GHz Pentium M processor, 2 GB RAM and Windows XP/Pro SP 2, InDesign CS3 (v. 5.0.1), and Word 2002 SP 3.

Problem description:

a) I have tried converting InDesign documents and Word documents with long hyperlinks to PDF. I have documents with some hyperlinks that are very long and require more than one line. The hyperlinks that I create in InDesign or Word that require more than one line look OK after conversion to PDF (using the Export command in InDesign), but, if I hover the mouse over the link in the PDF, all the characters in the URL on the second line are missing, and the link doesn’t work. I first discovered this using Acrobat Professional 7. Yesterday I downloaded a trial version of Acrobat Professional 8 (8.1.0), and I still have the problem.

Yes, I know I can create a hyperlink character style in InDesign with the “no break” feature enabled. However, that can result in appearance and text flow problems.

b) Furthermore, I tried to convert a Word document with a long hyperlink to PDF (using the Word Print command), and the same problem occurs.

To make matters worse, when I try to convert any Word document to PDF using the “Adobe PDF/Convert to Adobe PDF” menu item, I get this message:

“The Acrobat PDFMaker server could not be loaded. Do you want to run the installer in repair mode?”

I tried the repair mode. Then I tried it again from the Add/Remove Programs option in Control Panel. That did not solve either problem. R... Read more

Hi guys. Can anyone point me to where I can find a method to convert from a C++ CTime object to a SQL DATETIME field and back in C++ ado.net managed code? I've dredged everywhere for almost a full day and can find nothing on it.

Unfortunately the help offered for many areas of C++ by M$ is becoming painfully thin and new processes to me seem to be becoming harder to find out about.

It's ok now, I solved it myself. It turned out to be remarkably easy (once you know). CString is recognised intrinsically.

Its my 1st time using this so bear with me!... ive been using winavi to convert and burn avi to dvd format with no problems. now all of a sudden (after formatting PC and reinstalling software) the dvd burns fine and starts to play then virtually stops about 2 minutes into it ...it the moves slowly through the area or freezes completley. i thought it may be the media so tried some other brand but all are the same. i also tried another version of winavi.. but nothing changed! ... please does anyone have any ideas?? marc. p.s. not sure in posting this in the right place.

A:avi to dvd conversion

Sounds to me like you are missing a few codecs. Codec stands for code/decode. These are instructions for your computer to play and create different types of video/audio files. Head on over to www.codecguide.com and download the Mega Codec Pack. After installing (and restarting if necessary) try converting and burning again. Good luck!

PS Also check your burning software. If it has one, check the Verify box to make sure that the data you are burning is being burned properly. It will check the CD against the data on the harddrive to make sure it burned correctly.

I'm thinking about order a couple of these volume regulators:

After talking with a sale rep on the phone, I learned that this interfaces via an RCA cable, but the sound cards on my rigs only have 3.5mm connectors. I'm wondering if there is any reason that the normal operation of the regulators would be effected in any manner, if a converter was used at these sound card? The connection at the speakers are already RCA, so that shouldn't be a problem.

A:RCA to 3.5mm Conversion

None what so ever. The signal will remain the same, the only difference will be the connection.

Go to radio shack and by the second cheapest mini-plug(1/8) to RCA coverter they have.

I have a question, can the 4 extra pins in a dvi 24+5 pin male connector be eliminated and so it will work when plugged into a 24+1 female connector. I searched Google and got nothing, tried everything I think of. I would appreciate any suggestions or any site that could possibly tell me the information I need. Thank you.
I bought 2 dvi 24+5 to VGA adapter, only a buck a piece, took one apart the best way I new of, by doing that I couldn't tell if it would work or not. If anybody has taken one apart and saw something I didn't I would appreciate if you could answer this question, or maybe tell me where I could find out. Thanks again.

You DVI connector does not support the use of an VGA adapter. You need the four pins around the blade for VGA.

My professor just informed the class by email that the project due at the beginning of the exam tomorrow must be in .mov format. Mine is .wmv format.
I just did a quick search online and there seem to be some freeware that I could download to do this, but I don't have time because of exams for my usual plodding research and confusion, etc.

Can anyone recommend a freeware program that I can download safely? Do I need to download anything?

Thank you for any help you can give me. I'm not so great with computers and this kinda thing throws me off more than the average person. All my classmates own macs and seemed confused when I asked. I guess my professor owns a mac as well.
I tried to search this topic on this site, but it wouldn't let me search for three letter words or something and so I apologize if this is already on the site. I just didn't know how to rephrase it. I'm kinda in exam hell right now and I hope to be back to normal next week.

I have some .vob files that were recovered from a corrupted camcorder-recorded, finalized DVD-R video using IsoBuster. They play fine (and look fine) in programs like Media Player Classic. The problem is that I now would like to convert these clips for use in WinMovieMaker or some other software. I have tried to convert them to MPEG-2 using Koyote Free Video Converter. The resulting video is of poor quality. Is the problem due to the converter, or to the fact that I have chosen MPEG-2? Would .AVI be better? It seems to me that .AVI has many different codecs, which adds to the confusion.
Could someone please give me some guidance as to how to get clips in some common editing format that are just as good as the original .vobs? Your help would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

Any idea what's happening?

Hi Guys.

It's been a long while since I had to do this as on all new installations, I select NTFS straight away.

I have just finished repairing a system (It needed a thoroughly good spring clean, both hardware & software) & have got it up and running. System is currently being defragged.

However, the file system is FAT32 & I thought it would be better to convert to NTFS.

I believe that originally it was under the sytem tools menu(Not 100% sure where it was) & that it was simple to access.

On this system, I cannot find the conversion tool.

I would appreciate help on this as the owner will be coming later this afternoon to pick it up. Many thanks

Right-click my computer => manage => disk management. The option will be available when you right-click the partition.

I have a little problem with Microsoft Word.

I need to convert .doc file into .pdf. For that, I'm using Acrobat Professional as a tool in Microsoft Word. However, when I do it, it simply doesn't show my footer (which consists of an image) in .pdf. The header also has an image, but it shows it nicely. My footer is actually a part of a watermark - does that have to do anything with the problem? When I print the document on an actual printer, it actually works well, but conversion to .pdf is messed up.
I've tried printing to .pdf, but other images get messed up even though the footer is displayed (although it looks quite bad).

I'd appreciate any kind of help!

Dear folk,

Last month I switched from Outlook for Mac 2011 to Windows Outlook 2010. I found that both the email clients support different file types for storing emails and other mailbox data, i.e. OLM in Outlook for Mac and PST in Windows Outlook. Let's come to the point now.

I need to access my old OLM files in Windows Outlook, but it is not possible without conversion. I searched a lot and came to know about many third-party utilities. Besides them, I found a blog post published about using IMAP to transfer email.

A manual trick is given in this blog post and it can help me import my OLM files' data to a new PST file according to the blogger. But I'm not sure about this. Can you please check the trick and let me know if it would be useful or not?

A:OLM to PST conversion???

Hi and welcome to TSG. The 'blog' is very spam like so I have removed the link.

If your question is if you can setup IMAP and and move over your POP3 or archived emails to that type of account for migrating to another computer then absolutely you can do that.

FYI, most email services these day support IMAP or are ActiveSync accounts, using a POP account is something you should rarely use and you'll avoid this problem.

Recently, I had to reinstall Windows to fix a spyware and adware problem and now i have SP2 installed. On the C drive, I have a separate folder that has every file and program which was installed on the old system (i.e. before I had SP2 insalled). Is it ok to just delete this whole file as I dont need anything from it and it's taking up a whole chunk of hard drive space (a good 20-25 GB)? The folder is simply just another folder on the C drive, it is not in the Program Files or Windows folders.

A:Conversion to XP SP2

There's no point in keeping the installed program files after you re-install Windows. They are pretty useless.

One point. If you have customized things in some of the applications, and you're going to install them again, you might want to sort through the folders and save any customized application settings.

A:uk to us conversion

Firstly, in Control Panel, Regional and Language settings set it for your country. Also in Time, make sure the right time zone is selected.

Do not try and rename the folders, you cannot.

You need to make a new log-in with administrator priviledges in your name, that will create a new set of correctly named folders. Then transfer any needed data and delete the previous persons profile, selecting the option to delete the data associated with it.

I had recently recieved a server case to build a fellow pastor a high-end system for ministry purposes. Much to my dismay, the case came with an AT power supply. If any of you have moderate hardware expierience, you should know that the switch is connected directly to the power supply (in comparison to the ATX format which plugs the power switch into the mainboard and feeds off of the power running though the mainboard.)

Since I will be using an ATX power supply, I have a couple questions:

1) Is it possible to convert the power switch to be usable for an ATX power supply?

2) If so, how would I go about doing that? (four wires run into this switch, they are color coded as follows: Brown, Blue, White and Black)

3) If it is not possible to convert a switch, then where would a new ATX switch be purchaseable at?

A picture of both the computer and the switch has been attached to see what I'm working with.

A:at to atx conversion

Howdy there unitedistand...

It can be done, but...because the switch is either always on, or always off, it would be very confusing as to how to power it up, and down, ( IE: you would have to push the switch to power it up, then push the switch again to break the connection, and do the same thing again to power it down, and for this to work you would need an OHM meter to check the switch, to see which wires make the connection ), however...assuming that the motherboard is an ATX motherboard, you can get an ATX power switch such as this, it should work just fine...
