I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi,
Generaly speaking, 0x8007000E means current system failed to allocate necessary memory. You can check if your problem caused by not enough memory. To fix this problem, you can try to cleare all backups and images off backup drive, then
reboot your system and try to make backup again.

I have a machine running Windows 7 Home with a C drive of ~220 gb (120 of which are used) and a D drive of ~600 gb (90 of which are used). I'm trying to backup C onto D, but I keep getting error 0x8007000e, which means there was insufficient memory.
I don't really understand that; VSSadmin doesn't show any shadows anywhere, and D should have room to spare. Could it be trying to create a shadow copy of C on itself? If so, how can I get it to use D?

I keep getting this error when I try to backup to external disk.
Also get same if I try to create a restore point for C:
Only one restore point is showing and it's 2 years old!
Those from windows update, etc have all disappeared!
I increased the disk space for system protection on both disks but to no avail.
What memory is the error meaning?
Are there any fixes?

Googled the error number and most posts concerned update or livemail problems, not backup/restore.
Two sites, Wiki-errors.com and Helpcomp.com, offer Registry fix downloads.
Anybody know if these work and are SAFE ?

When I try to select a network location in the Windows Backup setup, the "OK" button is greyed out. However, I can mount the share fine using Explorer, i.e. drag and drop works. I have noted that the share and all subfolders are "read-only" (and deselecting it in the Properties window and clicking "OK" doesn't do anything), but none of the files are (they can be added or deleted fine). I do have to admit that this share is a little unusual: it's actually an NTFS partition (NTFS-3G drivers) on an external Firewire drive that is being shared by VMware Fusion to my Win 7 installation from Mac OS X. But since I can drag and drop to the share, I assume everything is in order!

I also have Avast installed, but disabling it didn't help. Finally, this partition actually already has some backups on it from when I booted into Win 7 and accessed the drive natively. But that doesn't seem to matter, since Windows won't accept any of my shares as backup destinations. It's also worth noting that Fusion 2 doesn't technically support Win 7 (only Vista & below), but I'd rather not upgrade Fusion if I can avoid it since both licenses were provided to me by my workplace. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Hello,
Could you please write the correct error message?
First try updating your NICs drivers. Also, try to reset TCP / IP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357
Another thing is to make sure that your IP adressing are right. Possible that the problem is with your ISP.

I'm trying to help a friend fix up an old Celeron 450 that he just upgraded from Win98SE to WinXp Pro.

His Outlook Express 6 will not start. It gives a message saying that it "unable to open message store. Your computer may be out of memory or your hard disk is full. (0X8007000E,3)"

I close that message and another pops up saying that it "MSOE.DLL could not be initialized."

There is mem available, and the hard drive has lots of room left.

I checked the Microsoft sites for the error code. There was an article for OE 5.5 with error code (0X8007000E,783) Close enough for me so I tried the fix recommended. No luck.

Any body have an idea??

I checked the forum and someone did post a similar question but never had it resolved.

Thanks!!

A couple of years ago, I used Windows Vista Ultimate to create an image backup. Then several months later I had a problem and had to do a restore, That failed. So from then on I used Norton Ghost 12.0. Well I gave Windows 7 Ultimate backup a try and this problem occurred.

I have an HP dv9410us laptop. I recently purchased an external hard drive to back up my pc. I am trying to complete a full backup using the Vista Ultimate provided tools. The backup would run for a while and eventually cause a BSOD indicating a problem with the driver NVSTOR32.SYS. I updated to the latest drivers available on the HP website for the chipset and BIOS. Now the backup seems to complete backing up the C drive and moves on to the D (HP recovery) drive. At this point the PC starts halting intermittently and eventually I get this failure:

Backup Failed
%1 not a valid win32 application 0x800700C1

Shortly there after I get I/O error messages for dwm.exe and explorer.exe, 0xC000000E.

This was followed with everything being removed from the display except the background and the system hanging, requiring a power reset. Nothing was recorded in the event logs for the system or application about this failure.

Other than this backup problem the system seems to run fine, hot sometimes. I was able to do a One Care data backup with out problem to the external hard drive.

I assume this issue is still with NVSTOR32, I now have 5.10.2600.992 of the drivers. I see in searches that there are .995 and .998 versions of this driver. However I went to the NVIDIA site and ran their tool which told me the system was up to date.

I have been fighting this for 3 days now and am not sure what to do next. HP support was not helpful.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi All,
My first forum question, ever ! So bear with me if I am a bit long-winded. Hopefully I am following "forum etiquette", if not then someone had better put me right.
In Win XP Pro, Outlook 2003 after hitting send/receive , I am getting the following error message:

Task 'enquiries.AL - Receiving' reported error (0x8007000E) : 'Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again.'

All other email addresses are behaving normally but this is an email address that I set up a few weeks ago and has only had about 4 emails sent to it since then. I have tried closing windows & programs as suggested but with no effect. Google comes up with a few suggestions most of which are above my head !
Has anyone experienced this problem and if so how did you fix it ?
BTW this problem is not occurring on my laptop which has identical email addresses.
I look forward to a deluge of remedies (though only one need work). Thanks, Nic.

Hi
I stupidly tried to use a program I didn't know much about to help with a problematic uninstall of 'WinZip'.
After running this program I restarted my Laptop (Windows Vista SP2) only after restart all the security services had stopped, no internet & most annoyingly no audio" (I use this laptop primarily for making music).

The specific problem is when I go to 'services' and try to Start the 'Windows Audio' Service, I get this exact message:

"Windows could not start the Windows Audio service on Local Computer. Error 0x8007000e: Not enough storage space is available to complete this operation."

I tried a boot in safe mode, same issues.

I'd recently scanned for viruses/malware, no issues.

I can't do a System Restore, when I try I get this message:
"System restore does not appear to be functioning correctly on this system"
& again I get the error messsage: Error 0x8007000e
"Not enough storage space is available to complete this operation."

I'm thinking I've wrecked my laptop for good, so any help would be very much appreciated...

Thanks in advance,

Hello Sevenforums.com,
Only literally just registered because of this huge problem.

By the way I have an Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g Wifi card.

So my story begins...

A while back I'd get BSOD very regularly ONLY when connected & using the internet. I did some rummaging on here & found out that it was the athr.sys driver that was corrupted. So I went on the internet, found a clean copy, downloaded and swapped it out with the corrupted driver.

Everything was fine for a couple months until last week the same thing happened again. So knowing the steps I had to take I repeated what I did by finding another copy of athr.sys off of the internet. (I think it was the same site so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a tainted copy)

HOWEVER, instead of swapping the files I accidentally went to Device Manager and fully uninstalled my wifi card! Panicking I reinstalled it using what must have been my laptops pre-installed software(?) (Also I note at this point when I accidentally uninstalled my wifi card I think I saw another device from the network section of Device Manager disappear along with Atheros. Whatever that device was, if it was even there, is a mystery to me)

Since reinstalling Atheros however, even though seemingly everything looks completely how it was before, it cannot detect any networks at all.

This leads me to my next problem.

I try to diagnose the problem & Windows says that the troubleshooter cannot start because of Error code 0x8007000E!

Just wondered if anyone here had experience of this?

If I change the settings of my Windows 7 Backup, by removing a folder in the Settings, will Windows then remove that folder from the 'Backed-up' copy on my external hard-drive, or will it still retain the old info?

Reason I'm asking is that my 300Gb external drive is struggling for space, and at the moment I've been deleting the existing backup entirely, then running a new one.

I don't like doing it this way though, as it means I have no backup for a small window of time. Things could go wrong....

Any ideas would be great thanks,
Darren.

Hello,I get the error Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Podcasts. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)).  This error seemingly started after a windows update as I noticed a Podcast library is new.  I like windows 7 backup feature.  Hopefully Microsoft can correct this in a future update?  I am a programmer by trade so I know these things sometimes happen.

A:Windows 7 ultimate backup issue

Hi Jimmy, Please let us know which program generated the Podcasts first. You issue can occur if the library is reporting the path of this folder incorrectly and hence the issue. As a workaround, please do the following:1. Change backup settings2. Select the same target device3. Let me choose4. Expand the user nodes from the treeview to see which user has the "Podcasts" library.5. Deselect the library.6. If you want the contents of this library to get backed up, please select the actual path of the folder (ex: C:\Users\John\Podcasts) from the Computer section in the treeview.7. Save settings. This will exclude the problematic library from your backup settings and the next backup should be GREEN. Please try this workaround and let me know if it works for you.Good luck!John

Question about Windows 7 Ultimate's built in backup system.

If I create a full system backup of my "C" drive, then do a restore, will it just install the "C" drive partition only, or will it overwrite the entire HD, thus wipping the rest of the partitions? Not looking to have the other partitions wiped!

I did some looking around, but that question/issue doesn't seem to be addressed.

Thanks

A:Windows 7 Ultimate's built in backup system?

I have done many restores with Windows imaging. This is a good question. Just to be sure I would include the other partitions if you have room. However my guess is if you only create the image of the "C" drive...it will only restore that partition, leaving the other how they were. You should have the option when creating it to check the boxes you want.

I know it will restore the exact size partition on another hard drive even if the new drive is bigger.....leaving the rest of the space "unallocated" so I would assume it will restore partition by partition.

I' not positive however. Good question.

A:Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit backup failed (0x80780119)

According to the error message, it indicated that there is not enough disk space to do a system image backup on the computer. Firstly, Windows 7 has a 100MB system partition that Windows setup during the installation that was under capacity, but not every computer has the 100M on their computer. Now, I suggest you check the disk usage in disk management carefully and make sure all the partitions have enough space to do system backup image:

Click Start->Right Click on Computer->Choose Manage->Expand Storage->Click on Disk Management

You can see the clearly of the usage of the whole hard drive. Please check it carefully and make sure all partitions have enough space.

Notice: if you have some hidden partition on the computer, please also make sure the hidden partition has the enough rest space to do the system image on the computer.

If you only have one partition to save the system files on the computer, maybe there will be a problem of backup system image. At this time, we can shrink a partition in disk management, and then do a system backup again to test this issue.

Also, this error may be caused by the system image backup configuration on the computer or some related components or services or registry incorrect on the computer, you can follow the below steps to check it firstly:

1. Run ?vssadmin list writers? to check if there is any error.
2. Register related dll files (we can ignore error messages if there is any)

A:Windows 7 Ultimate backup failed (0x80780119)

I experienced a very similar problem on my machine at home and it took me some time to figure out where the issue was.

In my case, it was the 100MB system partition that Windows setup during the installation that was under capacity. As it says, if you have a volume under 500MB, the minimum is 50MB of free space. In my case, my 100MB volume only had about 40MB free when i was trying to do the system image...and thus it wouldn't work.

For whatever reason, within about an hour or so, the space on that system partition freed up on it's own and when it was over 50MB free, I tried the backup again and it ran perfectly
.
Give that a shot, I'd bet that is where the issue is. You will probably have to go into disk management and assign a drive letter to it, in order to see it. As to why that partition fluctuates in size...I'm not sure.

Hello. I have 5 computers in the house, all running Windows 7 Ultimate (All Legal). I have successfully installed Windows 7 SP1 on 4 of them, but this PC, the main one, fails with the following message:

This computer is a Q6600 Quad core with 4GB RAM, and two 1 Terabyte drives. I have run Memtest x86 and both 2gb modules pass. From what I can tell there are no issues with my RAM or drives.

I have done a chkdsk /r /v on both drives, no issues found.
I have defragged and cleaned both drives.
Drive C: 89% free
Drive D: 65% free
Ram was 46% used during the install.
Install lasts about 1 hour and 20 minutes and then fails with the above code.

I made sure to disable all startup programs, antivirus, Spybot Search & Destroy. Only 57 running processes at install time.

I made sure to disable all startup programs, antivirus, Spybot Search & Destroy. Only 57 running processes at install time.

A:Solved: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit backup failed (0x80780119

What are you backing up to? I've seen that error when trying to back up to a FAT32 formatted drive...you can correct it by formatting to NTFS or if you have data on the drive, you can make another partition as NTFS. But note, it's risky business when data is present. Best idea is to save the data somewhere else, reformat and move it back. Then try your backup.

I aldready posted this elsewhere on the forums, but then noticed that topic was located it was in the Tutorials section. Since it's pretty urgent to me I also created this topic.

Recently I upgraded from Win7 x86 to x64 (professional), but I can't get Windows Mail to work. I got a copy of a working 64bit version (from another computer) of Windows Mail but it won't work on my system, giving this error: 0x8007000E. I Googled it dozens of times but can't get to a solution, most of the results are related to Vista, 32bit and/or other software applications.

My housemate also has a Win7 64bit system, so I already tried copying my Windows Mail to his computer to see if it's corrupt or something alike, but it's not. It totally works on his computer.

Somewhere I found the solution of locating another MSOERES.dll elsewhere on the computer (C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-m..-core-dll.resources_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7600.16385_en-us_2cea88b0c19dd22e) and placing it in the Windows Mail folder. I was very happy to see it actually launched the application, BUT.. There are no icons whatsoever and some text styling isn't correct:

I copied the whole Windows Mail folder again, placed it on my mate's computer, but with the same result. So this is probably due to MSOERES.dll. But with using the one that SHOULD work, I get the 0x8007000E error.

Does anyone have an idea about how to solve this? I really want it to work the way it should 'cause I know it's possible, as... Read more

Can you tell us how you got Windows Mial on Windows 7? According to this Windows Mail isn't included with Windows 7 - Looking for Windows Mail? You'll have to use Windows Live Mail.

I know I don't have Windows Mail on my system, I do however have Live Mail, though I don't use it.

Am I missing something?

Actaully why can't you just use Live Mail? Doing the hack and crack thing with Windows Mail isn't going to work too well as you've seen.

Hi
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate connected to network with Server 2008 (R2).

I am trying to backup the System Image [only] to a share on the server without success:

[Window Title] Windows Backup: Troubleshooting Options

[Main Instruction] Check your backup

[Content] Windows Backup cannot read the backup destination.

[Try to run backup again] [Change backup settings]

[Expanded Information]
Backup time: 8/05/2016 6:20 PM
Backup location: \\Server2008\backup\
Error code: 0x8078006F

The backup location is a valid share on the server and is accessible (and read/writeable) from my Win7 machine. Both SYSTEM and Administrators have "Full control". When setting up the backup, the location is tested and a username and password requested - these are accepted (and wrong ones are not, so some sort of check is being carried out), however when I attempt to run the backup (either manually or on schedule) the backup runs briefly (a few %) then fails with the message "Windows backup did not complete successfully" then the message box as above. No files are created at the backup location.

A search of the web finds a lot of similar questions and a lot of wrong and useless answers. This has been an ongoing problem for some time, but I really would like to have a regular scheduled backup. Has anybody got any clues, please?

I'm about ready to consider this a bug.

Traditionally, I share a folder from my Desktop to my PC via SMB and it works perfect as can be. The HDD on the Desktop has PLENTY of space and is in NTFS format and not being used as a NAS.

I browse network to find the folder I want, there it is all ready to be used. I select and enter the same information (my live email and password, and also tried Desktop username/password) as I did with getting the folder to share in the first place.

I keep getting the error 0x80070544 which tells me that it's the network credentials.

There is only a grand total of one post on here that I can find that error code and it was never truly resolved. I don't know what I should do. I would despise using alternative software over something as trivial as this.

Any help would be GREATLY! appreciated.

Today, I installed a program called "Komado" (Komado), which was supposed to be a program used in combination with an iOS app to act as a secondary monitor. After installing I noticed there were over 100 instances of Java and CMD running in the background. So, to save time, i just restarted the computer to close them all. After restarting, an error window saying "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" in the title and something along the lines of "NVVSVC.exe has been terminated" (this is an executable for my NVIDIA video card, I understand that) at the log in screen of Vista. I shrugged it off as a normal error I've run into that fixes itself and proceeded to log in. After logging in, I noticed my audio was muted and I could not unmute it or even open the volume mixer, and also my network icon showed up as "Undefined. Not enough storage is available to complete this operation." I found this strange, because I have over 100 Gb left on my main drive and about 600 Gb on my second drive, and I have the maximum amount of RAM possible for a 32-bit Vista install (3.325 Gb it says). So, taking the easy way out, I opened system restore to revert back to an earlier time. When I opened system restore It said in the window "System Restore does not appear to be functioning correctly on this system. Not enough storage is available for this operation (0x8007000E)." Hello. I would like to ask if backup from Windows Home can be restored on Windows Ultimate. I have bought a notebook recertly and it had come with preinstalled Windows Home. I have only backed it up and removed it because I wanted to have Linux on it. However I realised that my notebook doesn't go very well with Linux mostly becase 2 graphic cards (nvidia and intel) cause lot of problems when they are together and I don't have skill nor patience to continue trying to fix it so I have decided that I'll go back to Windows and I may just as well install Windows Ultimate x64 I have, however I dont know if my backup will work especially because now I cannot tell if Windows Home I backed up was 32 or 64 bit if it matters.

i understood that there was an error in the installation disk itself. any way to work around this? because i'd really like to install windows 7 on my laptop. thanks in advance

You have a problem with the installer. Where did you get Win7? How is it being activated? Did you burn the ISO to disk yourself? If so confirm the ISO and burn another using ImgBurn at 4x speed.

Hello everyone,

My problem is, since I changed the OS to this "more advanced", I cannot play Flight Simulator 2004 without this error message that closes the game. "Insuficient memory, please check your hard drive bla bla bla..." My system only has Flight Simulator installed, plus microsoft office and Avg antivirus (not counting with all the system updates, drivers etc). I dont understand this problem, because before this OS, I had Win XP 32 bits, with a lot more programs and addons installed and running, and I never had this problem...even with all the graphics pumped up to the max in the game. My graphic card is Asus En9800GT nvidia with 1gb ddr3 and HD with 400GB still to use (same board and HD used with XP).

Can anyone help me solve this surreal issue, it's driving me nutts and I'm feelling sorry already for changing to this new OS...what a disappointment

Many thanks!

If this doesn't help then run the game in windows xp sp3 or windows vista mode.Again right click on FS shortcut, click on properties, choose compatibility tab and change compatibility settings there.

Hope this helps
