Lenovo Flex 2-15 Bluetooth device not present

Q: Lenovo Flex 2-15 Bluetooth device not present

Hey everybody I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit on a Lenovo Flex 2 - 15 machine. When I installed the windows the bluetooth was present and fully functional, but not having any WIFI functionality. After some strugling, I've finally managed to utilize the WIFI functionality, but I lost the Bluetooth after the installation. The "Wireless" entry in the "PC settings" doesn't exist! But I do have a "Bluetooth USB" entry in the "Device Manager", and in its status field it says: "This device is working properly." However in the bluetooth application (btmsrvview.exe) it says: "Error initializing local bluetooth device. Please make sure Bluetooth is enabled."I really don't know what I might have missed, Please help me

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I bought a Lenovo Flex 5 14" and at first really enjoyed the product, but it quickly had screen flickering issues. Thankfully, it was still in warranty, so I shipped it back and the LCD was replaced. However, the testing must not have been very rigorous at all because after a while, it still has the same flickering issue. The root cause analysis was incomplete, the problem was not completely fixed, and now my device is out of warranty. I tried to contact Lenovo months back, but because my device was out of warranty, I couldn't get through. Now I really need to use this laptop again and it is basically useless without an external monitor. I am very disatisfied with the level of service received.

I don't have the touchscreen drivers anywhere in my device manager and wacom drivers has a code 10 of being unable to start. Windows 10 is up to date and the Wacom drivers is the latest one. Already tried uninstall the wacom drivers and restarting, tried reinstalling the drivers from the website after uninstall it, and looked everywhere for a solution.

A:Lenovo Flex 5 - Wacom Device code 10 and missing touchscreen drivers

Found out that in order for the Windows 10 installation to detect the PCIe SSD, you have to go into the BIOS and change the SATA Controller Mode to AHCI.  Now that only leaves the Wacom drivers having a code 10 and the missing touch screen drivers.

I have an issue with the Bluetooth connection of my Lenovo U31-70 notebook. Even I have connected and paired my Bluetooth headphone, the notebook still cannot detect it as a playback device. It just connected as a device categorized as unknown rather than an audio device. What should I do to let my notebook detect my Bluetooth headphone as an audio playback? PS In the photo, BeoH5 is my Bluetooth headphone, but it did not show as a playback device.

Hi,For quite some time now I've been having problems with Bluetooth (BT) devices on my T500 Win7 64 bit with devicesranging from like my older Nokia C2-01 mobile phone to my new UE ROLL 360 wireless speakers. at this stage the BTicon appeared correctly upon startup and in the device manager there where no errors, whereas the BT devices wereidentified as:a. Thinkpad bluetooth with Enhanced Date Rate IIb. Microsoft Bluetooth data EnumeratorSo from googling I figured all those BT problems might be caused by improper driver installations of BT relateddevices, which led to the use of the Microsoft enumerator instead of the actual needed devices. So I uninstalled it specifically, and was left with an unknown device, with the detail value of:BTH\MS_BTHBRBFrom here on everything only got worse :-(I've reckoned that in order to fix this I should just downloaded the latest official Lenovo driver from:http://support.lenovo.com/il/en/downloads/ds013631 (Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II released21/2/2014).After installation (and required reboot), I was now stuck with an unknown device, with the following 2 details valuestrings:USB\VID_0A5c&PID_2145&REV_0352USB\VID_0A5c&PID_2145From googling this I've realized it's related to the Broadcom Bluetooth driver. So I've downloaded the latest official Broadcom Bluetooth driver from:https://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth (WIDCOMM® Bluetooth Windows® Software for Windows 7 and Vista, 64-Bitreleased 04/08/2016).After thi... Hi, so I own a Lenovo G500s and everythings working fine yet I have two problems: 1) When i open the device manager it shows me 5 bluetooth peripheral devices that have a missing or wrongfully installed driver.Detais of the first device :Device Type : Other devicesManufacturer : unknownLocation : Microsoft Bluetooth ListHardware IDs:  BTHENUM\{0000111f-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_VID&0001000f_PID&0000                             BTHENUM\{0000111f-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}_LOCALMFG&0045So I tried reinstalling the driver recommended from lenovo http://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds035488 but nothing changed. Where can I find the missing drivers? 2) The second problem is probably related to the first.Everytime I start the laptop I get a usb device sound right after the startup even though I don't have anything plugged into the usb ports. So I'm guessing it's trying to connect to the peripheral devices... Did anyone here have the same problem or can help me solve this? Thank you in advance! Kind regards Jens

A:Lenovo G500s Bluetooth Peripheral Device Drivers missing

hi Jens,
Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Regarding your concerns:
1. From this link  that hardware ID is pointing to a Bluetooth Hands-free Audio Gateway by Broadcom.
Since you already installed the Bluetooth driver, can you try one of the following:
a. Navigate to the C:\Drivers\Bluetooth\Broadcom and run the setup.exe file to re-install the Broadcom Bluetooth Driver
b. Follow this guide on how to manually install the BTHENUM device driver (point the driver to the  C:\Drivers\Bluetooth\Broadcom folder).
c. Install the WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software
2. If you have a bluetooth headset / speaker that was previously connected before, it's possible that these devices are automatically pairing themselves to the machine everytime you restart. Try to check if installing the Bluetooth driver in problem #1 resolves the issue.

I'm not sure if this is the right place or if it should possible be network related... but for some reason, the "Bluetooth" tile is back in my Action Center, but I have zero Bluetooth devices on or installed.

It was there after the latest build 10586, then I think the first Cumulative Update came out and it went away... I doubt there was any causal link between them... but now after a restart of the computer, the tile is back... and I don't know why.

Hi,I have spent a lot of time looking for a laptop which could meet my requirements. A week ago I bought this laptop and I love it, BUT the screen is giving me painful eyes just after like 30 minutes. I tried to record the screen with my phone, and compare it to my older work laptop (Lenovo T520), which I never get an eye pain or headache from. The recording revealed a lot of backlight flickering on my old work laptop (like when you display a page with Google results, there were a lot of horizontal lines moving vertically over white google background), but not really on my new one. When I look very detailed at the video from the new laptop, I can maybe see like a tiny flickering on the font displaying google results, but nothing in the background white). Hi everyone. I can see that people with other similar style Lenovo laptops (Yoga 900) complain about the same issue so was wondering if there is a solution or an optimized version of this software. I did an update of the BIOS and the Power Management driver and still a constant power usage.  Once the laptop is flipped the YMC detects it and turns off the keyboard functionality to prevent accidental presses and that is pretty much all until it flipped back and enabled. And all of this requires a constant high CPU usage? Any help would be highly appreciated. I also tried rolling back to older drivers without luck in decreasing this CPU hog usage. To put such load on a i5 6th gen CPU really implies an inferior service integration....

I bought a Flex 14 from the Lenovo store website a month ago, and I seem to be having problems with my wireless adapter. I can't remember if it is because of the update to 8.1 since I updated my laptop to 8.1 on the day that I received my laptop. No matter how far away I am to the router, my wifi would disconnect. It would disconnect for around 30-60 seconds and happens very often, which is kind of annoying. Other laptops in my house don't experience this kind of issue, so it can't be my wireless router or internet service provider. Bluetooth seems to have issues as well. I bought a bluetooth mouse for my laptop around 2 weeks ago and it disconnects just like my wifi. I've tested the mouse with my phone for a full hour and I did not encounter any problems, so I concluded that it must be my wireless adapter that has a problem. I've tried updating all the drivers from Lenovo support page, but that didn't fix it. So, I tried getting the drivers from Intel, since my adapter is the Intel Wireless-N 7260. That also did not work. Any ideas? I would really appreciate any sort of help right now.

I've done the same now, to no avail. I've checked my hardware profile but have just the current one, no options. There are no default devices indicated. My video is working OK. It's only my sound.

I've been following homiebmcd's post as I have a similar problem in DELL inspiron with xp, home version. Laptop: Lenovo Flex 3 1470
OS: Windows 10 pro x64

I have this strangest issue with my Lenovo Flex 3 1470. My built in bluetooth receiver only turns on when i restart windows. If I shut off windows completly and then turn it back on again, bluetooth doesnt work. The icon is dissapeared from the action center and from the device manager. In this state (with laptop on and bluetooth not working), if I restart windows (through start>on/off>restart) the bluetooth device suddenly becomes available upon rebooting. And it works completly stable with all connected devices. I don't want to restart my laptop every time I want to use a bluetooth device.
I have tried several things, a clean windows 10 installation, some energy on and off switches in device manager and many different kind of drivers. I even tried replacing the card with a ac7265, but when i did this WiFi worked and bluetooth entirely didnt work nor did it show up in device manager. I waisted money in a effort to fix this strange bluetooth problem,  i guess.
Ideas anyone?

This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)

The device does not appear to be present. The problem might be bad hardware, removable hardware that is not removed, or a new driver might be needed. Devices stay in this state if they have been prepared for removal.

Complete the physical removal of the device.
All 4 USB sockets are not working. No communication with exterior devices as a flash memory stick, printer, etc... What I see it is flagged SERIAL driver device in non-plug and play drivers (hidden devices). It's mean device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. Well yes, but what can I do more? I tryed several methods as a reinstalling drivers, upgrading system, and finally I recovered full system from Toshiba CD (this is toshiba satellite laptop). After all the problem still exist. What is most possible cause? Could it be damaged a device? What device? Chipset? Any ideas? I will appreciate you for any help.

My bluetooth mouse is causing me headache - again.I used to have times when it randomly turn off but this is not the point here right now. I know that there are already posts about that.In my case my bluetooth works fine for bluetooth loudspeaker and external keyboard but as soon as I switch on my mouse it interferes with the other device. So when I turn on the mouse the speaker stops playing music and the external keyboard is off as well. When I go the settings trying to connect the bluetooth mouse I can see it but when I try to pair it either it disappears in the moment I am hovering over it (as if someone wanted to fool me actually) or when clicking on it successfully I get the message "This didn't work" or "Make sure your mouse is still discoverable".I tried many things already in the settings as well as in the device manager but nothing works. As a matter of fact, everytime when I switch on the bluetooth mouse it messes up with everything.Did anyone have this ever before and if so, could you solve it?Many thanks in advance for your answer and have a nice day!

PC is Windows 7 Pro 64bit, MSI Z77 MPOWER motherboard.

I'm attempting to flash a bootloader to my 3D printer, which requires connecting it to my PC via USB and using the Arduino software. Unfortunately when doing so the Com ports menu in Arduino was greyed out no matter what I tried and so I couldn't select the printer or USBasp device.

On further investigation, I discovered that the COM & LPT section isn't present in my Device Manager, and using "mode" in CMD returns CON info but no details on COM & LPT ports at all. I went into the BIOS and ensured all USB-related options were enabled, which they already were, and additionally I updated the drivers for both of the motherboard's USB 3.0 controllers. Still nothing.

I feel at this stage I must be missing something stupendously obvious, but I'm drawing a blank. Can anyone suggest what's going on/a fix?

About 4 weeks ago my PC (HP Pavillion t.825ch) stopped recognising any USB plugged into it. Not sure exactly why but it seemed to coincide with my removal of a USB device by clicking "Safely Remove Hardware" on the Task Bar.

I have WinXP Pro SP2 loaded and updated all USB Controller drivers, USB Root Hub and BIOS.

- When I boot up in Safe Mode, I can successfully see all USB drives! and 3 x "USB Media Storage Device" is present in the Device Manager window. (see attached images)
- When I boot up in Normal Mode, no USB drives can be seen (via My Computer) nor are there any "USB Media Storage Device" present in Device Manager.

I have stopped/restarted device controllers, removed/added them with no success. I am stumped why they are working in Safe Mode and not working nor present in Normal Mode. This is the extent of my PC knowledge.

If you could help me to "re-discover" the USB Devices in Normal Mode I would be truly grateful as this is driving me up the wall.

Cheers Val

I've also checked settings in the BIOS to see if it can be turned on and I did not see anything listed that would let me makes changes to the Internal battery. Before this laptop I used a Lenovo X240 laptop and on that laptop it would list both Internal and Removable batteries in the Lenovo Power Manager application.

I paired Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse to my Windows 7 Professional x64 HP ZBook 14 which is connected to my company's corporate domain. Everything worked beautifully until they had to re-image my PC to resolve a disk encryption issue. That issue is resolved, but I have had bad luck getting my keyboard and mouse to pair and remain connected ever since. However, that's not even the problem now. After troubleshooting my Bluetooth issues by installing different driver versions, pairing and un-pairing my keyboard and mouse, changing settings in Bluetooth Support Service and more, I now have two Bluetooth Peripheral devices that always appear in Device Manager. I believe these are remnants of previously paired devices, but I can not get rid of them no matter what I try. These devices do not show up in Devices and Printers, they become Bluetooth Low Energy HID Devices when I install the computer manufacturer's drivers... As I typed this I thought of installing the Intel Bluetooth drivers I had previously installed to see what would happen... Ok that made things worse. Now there are three random Bluetooth Low Energy HID Devices and none of them are actual devices that are paired to the PC. And pairing the devices does not help. If I could, I would just delete the registry keys but I can't (remember, corporate domain PC). Any help from you brilliant people would be great. Thank you!

Problem solved. I'm typing this on my phone so I'm going to leave out some details.
1. Remove all non-Windows Bluetooth drivers
2. Disable all problem devices in Device Manager
3. Stop and Disable Bluetooth support service
4. Use PSexec(64).exe to launch regedit as system allowing me to delete keys
5. Delete all keys related to parent Bluetooth device (07f92671... as pictured above)
6. Uninstall Generic Bluetooth adapter and scan system to make sure devices do not return
7. Restart PC
8. Set Bluetooth support service to automatic and start it
9. Install manufacturer provided Bluetooth drivers and have an awesome day. finally

Model is Acer Aspire One D270.
Internal bluetooth doesn't work.
Nothing in device manager.
Fn+F3 is meant to control it, but doesn't.
May be because I've messed with some programs.
Trying to re-install to factory settings.
Any suggestions at all?

edit: The machine is Win7 baby (starter?), x86_32.

What programs did you remove or mess with? Have you tried repairing these programs?

I was just working happily when my Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse just suddenly stopped working.
The Bluetooth settings page says "Bluetooth is turned off" and there are no options on the settings page or the system tray to turn Bluetooth on.
The Device Manager now has "Unknown USB device - device descriptor request failed" where it did not before.
Other devices all seem to be working fine - USB devices plugged in are being recognized and work properly. Only BT seems to be broken.
I've tried:
uninstalling the device and rebooting
installing the latest updated chipset drivers from the dell website
windows updates
pretty much all of the advice here: http ://troubleshooter.xyz/wiki/fix-usb-device-not-recognized-device-descriptor-request-failed

Any other ideas?

So in desperation I just went into BIOS settings to see if there are any BT settings that may have become disabled. I didn't see any, and I didn't change any other settings.
After rebooting, BT and my mouse is now working again.
Something seems to be really flaky here, but hopefully this will help others with the same issue.
