Ideapad 300-15ISK, Machine Type80Q7 installing windows 7 question about drivers

Q: Ideapad 300-15ISK, Machine Type80Q7 installing windows 7 question about drivers

Hi I am planning to do a fresh install of windows 7 64bit on this laptop (currently running windows 10). I only have this laptop so I want to download the important drivers before reinstalling. I'm thinking the usb ports wont work til I install the usb drivers and neither will the ethernet / wireless. Is the best solution downloading the ethernet driver and burning it to a cd rom? Then once I have installed the ethernet driver and have internet access it should be easy to find the rest of the drivers I need. Will any of the USB's work without drivers? Are there any critical drivers that will need to be installed prior to the ethernet driver? Or can I simply download the rest once I get internet access

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hello, A few days ago, my Lenovo Ideapad 700-15ISK randomly begun BSODing every login, saying VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR. I suspected that it was because of a corrupted driver with my GPU (GTX 950M), and figured a reinstall would fix this issue. However, I tried reinstalling windows, deleting all partitions, updating my BIOS, and have used DDU in safe mode many times. I even tried reinstalling the Lenovo drivers for the BIOS, Chipset, and Intel VGA. However, I am still having this BSOD when I try to install the nvidia graphics drivers, and the installation approaches the end (It almost seems like the BSOD happens every time the GPU is activated). BlueScreenView is saying watchdog.sys and dxgkrnl.sys (DirectX Graphics Kernel) are the culprits. I am lost at what to do at this point, and I understand that this could be an issue of hardware with my GPU (but am really hoping it's not). However, I wanted to reach out here first to see if anyone could give me some guidance, or to see if anyone else is having this issue. Thanks!

Hi guys! I just bought an Ideapad 700-15ISK laptop and I wondering if anybody can help me find Windows 8.1 drivers?I was searching on the site several times but I found only Windows 7 or Windows 10 drivers. Also I still have a lot of Unknown Devices in my Device Manager so I would like to fix those drives.I'm using Windows 10 drivers at the moment on my Windows 8.1 what I don't think is good because today I got an error before a forced restart from the system: Kernel Security Check Failure - after I googled it I found that the problem can be a not proper driver. Thanks!

A:Ideapad 700-15ISK / Windows 8.1 drivers?

I can help identifying the "unknowns" but I cannot find 8.1 drivers either.  My thought is it is a downgrade from Windows 10 and would just use the same drivers as 10 since on Lenovo's site there are only drivers for 10 or 7.  Heres how to identify unknown hardware for drivers. In your device manager right click on the "unknown device"Select "Properties"Select "Details"In the drop down box that labeled "Property" change from device description to Hardware ID.Select the bottom line and google that line.  This will identify the component and should show a driver for it.Finding drivers can be quite stressful.  I hope this has helped some.  Good Luck!

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

The Windows 7 drivers are still there, but a glitch with the Operating System selector doesn't show them separately.  You can still view the available Windows 7 downloads by leaving the Operating System selector set as "Pick an OS."  All the available downloads will be displayed and you will have to go through the list finding the Windows 7 downloads.

I just got my Lenovo Ideapad 700-15isk on the mail today, bought it with freedos (I already have a retail w10 license I want to transfer to it). Last night I prepared my bootable w10 usb and tested it on my old laptop to verify it works. No problem. I can't get it to work on the Lenovo, no matter what Bios settings I choose. I don't really mind if it's UEFI or Legacy at this point, I'm reinstalling next week when I get my new ssd disk, I just want to be able to get windows in for now. My usb stick is formatted as fat32, with windows 10 64-bit, I got the ISO using the media creation tool from Microsoft, and put it into the usb with rufus. At first, I was getting a winload.efi error (with either uefi, legacy, legacy first, uefi first and all variations you can think of). I redid the usb, this time just mounting the ISO file and copying the files manually. Now I'm getting winload.exe file might be damaged or missing. The mystifying thing is that the installer boots just fine on my old asus laptop. It's been years since the last time I did this, so I'm probably missing something obvious. Can anybody guide me on how to get the windows install screen to come up on this machine? Thank you in advance.

TL;DR: The Lenovo supplied driver refuses to install. Can anyone point out a place I can find older Lenovo NVidia drivers? ---------- My ideapad (Windows 10, 64 bit) came preinstalled with NVidia drivers version 359.37 for the GTX 950M in it. These worked fine. Then Windows 10 decided to overwrite those with a non-Lenovo NVidia driver through Windows Update. Those will not allow any OpenGL-using program to run at all, so I'm looking for a driver that actually works. I would think Lenovo driver downloads would be the best location for this, but the only one I can find there now is 376.67. That refuses to install, complaining that "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware". I have also tried all the drivers NVidia allows me to download, and those all have different critical faults, ranging from refusing to install, freezing on the Windows login screen, crashing any program by "denied access to graphics hardware", and causing bluescreens every 30 seconds or so. Ideally, I'd want the newest driver in a working form. Lacking that, I'd like to have the Lenovo 359.37 driver back.  But I can't find the installation files for that anywhere. The only way I've found to get it is by factory resetting my computer, but that only lasts me about an hour before Windows decides to automatically destroy my driver again - in spite of "blocking" the update with Microsoft's update hiding tool. Can anyone point out a place I can find older Lenovo NVi... Read more

So I ordered the Ideapad Y700 15ISK with 256gb SSD and no HDD with the intension of installing an extra hard drive (probably HDD because it's cheaper). From what I've read on the forums people say that it's missing some cable(?) to plug in a 2.5" hard drive even though there is a slot for it. Would I be able to take out my 2.5" hard drive from my current Lenovo Flex laptop and plug it in to the Y700. As far as I know both should use 2.5" SATA 3 which means I should have no problem right?Alternatively I've been thinking of buying a new hard drive, but I still have no idea what's compatible with what so would something like This be compatibe? (Sorry about the site being in norwegian, but it should still be understandable as the specs are in english).

A:Ideapad 310 15ISK - RAM upgrade question.

Hi ivankyserosila,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Max OEM RAM for this model is 12 GB.
Soldered 4GB onboard + 8GB DDR4 would work for your machine.

Product specification:
12GB max / 2133MHz DDR4, dual-channel capable, 4GB memory soldered to systemboard, one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket

Hope this helps answer your query.

So I'm planning on buying this model: Lenovo Ideapad Y700-15ISK, but the one I'm looking to buy doesn't have an SSD and doesn't specify which ports are still available, only that it has a 1TB HDD. So I wanted to ask: 1. Does it have a free M.2 port? all models of the Y700-15ISK should have them, or am I wrong? 2. Which type of M.2 SSD does it support? M or B+M? I already sent the same questions to the retailer, but I am still waiting for an answer so thought I'd ask here as well.

Hi, I am having some issues with the wireless connection. I first tried to install the win7 Realtek WLAN Driver, the version that's on the site (Liteon_11.0.0.612 Broadcom_7.12.26.27 Realtek_2023.19.831.2015), but I get a "No Matched Wireless Device In This System" message.I installed the Intel WLAN Driver and was able to connect to the wifi but I'm not able to access the router's page on 192.168.1.1. Also when I try to access a radio stream, it takes about 10 minutes to load it and it stops playing after another 10 minutes (as if it had buffered/downloaded those 10 mins). I have another pc connected to the same network and both of these things work just fine, so it seems to be an issue only with this pc.Other than this, the web pages seem to work ok as well, no loading issues. So a couple of questions:1. Should those 2 wlan drivers (intel and realtek) be both installed or on the contrary, just one?2. If I should install the realtek driver (even if just for testing) can somenone point me to a version that works with this system?3. Could those 2 issues above be related to drivers or something else that needs installed? So far I have installed chipset, wlan, lan drivers and in the devce manager I have no unknown devices.I tried ipconfigs, pings, tracerts but didn't see anything suspicious and nothing fixed this. Hey Everyone. I have this model - IdeaPad 100 - 15IBD. There is one thing showing as "Unknown Device" in my computer and when i open it's properties i see ACPI\MSFT0101 in Details Tab. Please help me with the appropriate driver for the same.   Also, please suggest how can i improve the performace of the system ? Is upgrading to 8 GB Ram would work ?    Thanks,Jyoti

A:Need help in installing drivers - Ideapad 100

Hi Jyothi,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.

For the ACPI\MSFT0101 unknown device you can also simply disable Intel PTT (Platform Trust Technology). On Intel NUCs Visual BIOS: BIOS Setup <F2> Advanced - Security - Security Features pane - uncheck Intel Platform Trust Technology.

Secondly, Other than the specific applications that hog your RAM, if you think bumping your RAM from 4GB to 8GB is going to increase the speed of a regular application-like a video game?you should think again. The only thing that additional RAM does is allow your computer to do more things at once, not actually make it faster.

Please go through this link.

I hope the above information helps.

Regards,
Shashi

I don't think its the HDD because HDD usage tab in the Task Manager never shows high read/write disk usage so it must be the fan.I've searched a lot and it was recommended by many other users to install SuperFan or HWMonitor. I did install both but neither any one of them did detect a fan!I don't know what to do and the loud fan is driving me crazy. If you've been through this please provide me with any tips.P.S. I installed Windows 7 x64 on my Ideapad 700-15ISK, installed all drivers downloaded from the support page but for some reason cannot get wi-fi to work. I see it in device manager (no exclamation marks anywhere), the network interface is not disabled, and yet I cannot search for any wireless networks. I am assuming that the wi-fi interface is actually hard-disabled (via the FN keys; looking at Windows Mobility Center seems to confirm this because it says "wireless off" and the "turn on" button is greyed out and disabled) but I cannot find a way to re-enable it. This article tells you how to re-enable it, but in my case nothing happens when I press FN+F5 (Lenovo utility is of course installed):https://support.lenovo.com/hr/en/documents/ht072689 I'm presuming this is because I don't have Energy Management installed since I cannot find it anywhere (it's not on the support page for the laptop). Can anyone push me in the right direction? Does anyone else have a similar problem? EDIT: the laptop has Intel wi-fi if that matters

I also reinstalled windows 10 on the same system but on that the display starts to fickle as soon as i install the drivers for display.(That i think is some driver issue from lenovo as earlier it was working fine) so finally decided to install windows 7 on the system.
when i start installing windows 7 on the very begining of the installation it says (netstat:windows can not find a network adapter /network drivers )
So can anybody help me in this regard that which are the drivers i should use during the installation and where to find them as these drivers are the installation drivers not the simple .exe drivers.
