Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB AC power adapter replacement

Q: Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB AC power adapter replacement

Hi, I bought a new Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB in Czech Republic and the delivered package contained the following AC power adapter: model: ADLX65YLC3A, P/N: SA10M13945I want to buy another one, but it is no-where available ! Can somebody warrant me, that the only-available AC adapter with USB-C, the Lenovo ThinkPad 65W AC USB-C, S/N 4X20M26272, will work fine with my laptop please ? Btw, I am wondering why, when I tried to find the original AC adapt., all web sites returned me result that it is not dedicated for my country. I bought the computer with that AC here, so **bleep** Lenovo ? Thank you all

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Does anybody know where I can get a replacement power adapter for a Lenovo Yoga 2 11? According to the manual, it should be 45W. It appears that neither the original nor any approve substitutes that are listed on the Lenovo site are available for purchase from Lenovo.  I tried to buy one online but ended up giving my money to an overseas scammer. There seems to be a facsimile available in the States, but reviews say that it is a fire hazard and wrecks computers. I'd like to buy one that works and is safe. This is for my grandson's Lenovo Yoga 2, 11 inch. It was manufactured in 2016. He lost the power supply while it was under warranty only a few months after buying it but the family was moving so they thought it would turn up. It never did. He is in  high school (in Toronto) without a laptop, so I would like to help by finding a power cord. Lenovo lists these models: Adapter, BLACK 45W 3-PIN, Delta ADLX45NDC3A 20V2.25A adapter 36200245 * Adapter, BLACK 45W 3-PIN, Liteon ADLX45NLC3A 20V2.25A adapter 36200246 * Adapter, BLACK 45W 3-PIN, Chicony ADLX45NCC3A 20V2.25A adapter 36200247 Thank you,VancouverMo

Model number 59394167.  The cord frayed and died a few days ago.  When I try looking the part up on the Lenovo site, it doesn't list a price or have an option to buy.  I found something on Amazon that isn't quite right.  It charges it, but it makes the computer hot and I get a message about slowed down perforrmance.  The computer still works great and I don't want to have to replace it over a power cord.  Help!

Hi,  So 6 years after i bought my PC, I'm having to replace the power adapter after the wire got cut and the service people are now saying that there's a adapter voltage issue as well and hence they're not being able to replace it. Anyhow, was looking to see how much a new, original, adapter would cost but I just cannot seem to find the right one ANYWHERE?! Even AmaonBased on the Hardware Manual, this is the one that came with my PC:120W, Delta ADP-120LH BA 19.5V6.15Aadapter - CCC (PN - 36200400) (Also attached an image of my adapter that mentions the specs). What would happen if I use any of the other adapters mentioned there (specifically thr 90W ones?)  Now, ALL the chargers with the same 5x2.5mm pin are 65W on the Lenovo site. Be super if someone can confirm this as well? Can't find any official documentation that deals with the dimensions of the pin! Mine clearly says 120W (170W if Ultrabay is attached too). Amazon does have a few but they're more than double the price of the 65W ones mentioned on the official store. Be awesome if someone here can link me to an adapter they purchased (pref original Lenovo adapters) and provided it's working fine.TIA!

My power adapter to my Y500 Idea pad is messed up. The wiring inside must have gotten damaged somehow and is now faulty. It only charges my laptops when angle in certain positions, or goes in and out. It's the 170W AC adapter one, but is there really a difference in using one of the small Wattage Adapters? The 170W one is just way out of price-range for me so I'm looking for one of the cheaper versions. I found one online that is "Y500 AC Adapter 90Watt 19V 4.74A". Would that work with my laptop?  I don't understand how different wattages affect my laptop (I'm assuming it affects charging time) so any help is appreciated. I generally keep my laptop plugged in with the battery removed, so I don't have to worry too much about charging the battery, if that's any help.Thank you!

It became recessed after being pushed in too vigorously (not by myself I may add) and although I managed to pop it back out, it has obviously lost connection and was wondering how I would go about replacing the button. Would this require work on the motherboard itself or require a new part? I would be greatful for any advice, Thank you Lesley.Note: I am aware that this model of laptop can be switched on using a paper clip, however I would like to resolve the issue instead of using an alternative method.

Hello everyone, I purchased Lenovo Yoga 900 Ideapad and I am currently using it in India. The power adapter seems to have gone bad and I wasn't able to charge the laptop with the given adapter.  Since the laptop is under warranty, I contacted the warranty help line only to know that I need to take the laptop to the service center. At a service center, no one really knew how the USB 3.0 charging port works and couldn't check whether the cable was short or the adapter had gone bad. Anyhow, they decided to replace it under warranty but again, they weren't sure when and if the replacement would arrive (as it depends on the inventory levels with Lenovo India).  An exclusive Lenovo shop then offered me an original Lenovo power adapter with USB 3.0 charging at USD 70 but only when it got delivered, I see that it is 40W and not 65W like the original one I had.  65W adapter - the USB 3.0 connecter (one which connects the laptop) is orange. The wall adapter doesn't heat up while laptop is charging.40W adapter - the USB 3.0 connecter is yellow. The wall adapter heats up quite a lot while the laptop is charging.  The Lenovo store representative has assured me that this is the right adapter but somehow I am not convinced.  Can the community throw some light on this:- Is it safe to use a 40W adapter for a 65W specification?- Is there any way I can get the adapter replaced by Lenovo US (I can ship the faulty adapter to US)?- I... I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ISK, Model 80UD0017US, and would like to purchase a 2nd power adapter as a backup. I saw in the hardware manual that there are several part numbers listed, and the specific ones on my adapter are:45w AC Adapter Model Name: PA-1450-55LLLC P/N: 5A10H42923 In looking for the part online, I saw several on eBay and Amazon with the PA-1450-55LL reference, but at least one seller mentioned that the size of the connectors aren't always the same. In the hardware manual I did not see a reference as to the connector size (ie 4.0mm*1.7mm), which is the connector size reference I saw by one seller. Does anyone know the connector size on this power adapter for my model? Thanks,Kim

Help!  My Lenovo Yoga 3 14 is no longer accepting the charge from my power adapter. If Windows still does not recognize it, your device may not be working properly." Except this isn't just any USB device - it's the ever-loving power adapter for this thing! I've tried everything and I'm at my wit's end. A:Extra mSATA on LENOVO 81C3 Lenovo YOGA 720-13IKB

Hi Helenvds1982,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Checking with the hardware manual (page26) and specs sheet shows that there is no extra slot for another mSATA on the model.

An option for replacing the storage with a larger (up to 1TB PCIe 3.0 x 4 NVMe m.2 2280) capacity can be a solution for needed storage space.

I hope this helps answer your query.

So my Lenovo Yoga would start to boot and the light on the side and keyboard would light up, but then it would turn off again. Then it would start to boot up (without the screen actually turning on) and turn off again. It would just cycle through this, so I held down the power button for 10 seconds, and now it does not turn on at all- no lights, no anything. Any suggestions?

The laptop was working just fine, then all of a sudden shut off on its own. I thought the battery might've ran out, so I plugged it in, tried to power it on but did not power on, even after hours of charge. The white light on the side is lit when plugged in, and the keyboard lights up for 1 second when pressing the power button before shutting back down. I've done the hold the power button for 15 seconds, release, hold for another 15 trick, but all that happens are the fans turning on high-mode for 2 seconds then shutting back off. I'm decently tech savvy and build my own computers, but just not laptops. This says to me the motherboard is still intact and isn't having an issue communicating with parts. If I were to guess on the next thing, it'd be the battery failing. I don't hear any beeps or anything, which usually occurs with CPU errors, and with the screen/system not turning on, I can't diagnose if the m.2 ssd is failing (most likely not the issue). I've found this maintenance manual online to replace parts, but unsure if this is a common issue that others are having, and which part should I look into replacing (if any). I don't have an active warranty on this anymore but prefer to not spend a couple of hundred of dollars at a repair shop. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Good morning, I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB 80X6 last november 2017 in the United Arab Emirates. Everything worked perfectly until July, when the laptop shut down and wouldn?t turn on anymore. I tried everything I could without opening the device and cancelling the warranty , but eventually sent it back in the store where I bought it, and they had to change the motherboard.  Now, not even two months later, same problem. That laptop doesn?t turn on anymore, and this time it also doesn?t charge (the LED on the side doesn?t light up).  I, once again tryed everything I could that i found on the forums without opening the device pressing the on button for various amounts of time, pressin the ''reset'' one with a pin... nothing seems to work. Problem is that I no longer live in the UAE. So now I have two questions : - does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be? - Can I still send my device for repair where I live now for free with Lenovo?s IWS?  Thank you to anyone who can help out, it?s very much appreciated. Sincerely,  A disappointed costumer

The adapter cannot keep a 2.4 GHZ connection and has trouble with wired and wireless at the same time and is missing all advanced settings allowing you to turn off 2.4, etc... I will return my laptop unless this is fixed. This is a fundemental issue with the chipset and design.1. The adapter has no advanced settings. It has been stripped of all the standard configurations.2. I have watched this driver from a monitoring computer standpoint and on 2.4 networks it loses connections all the time and sometimes will get into a connection loop when there is hard wire and wireless are on at the same time.3. When both adapters are enabled it does not work well at all.4. Signal strength / antenna performance is terrible. Side by side comparison with other devices shows bad performance. -50 vs -90 etc... a big swing in signal strength. There needs a new driver with ALL ADVANCED SETTINGS - for example prefer 5GHZ networks.no settings

Hi and welcome to the community,

I removed your posts asking for all issues to be mentioned in one thread.

Each issue with any machine requires its own separate thread so solutions and possible fixes can be traced.  To have all issues lumped together into one thread defeats the purpose of searching for a solution to a particular problem.

Thank you for understanding.

Hi Just want to share my latest experience after reading many posts of Yoga 920-13IKB (i7-8550 / 8G / 512G / 4K screen) incompatibility with Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub. I had this new Yoga 920 laptop for about a week, replacing my previous Yoga 900 (13.3", QHD+, i7-6560U, 256G, 8G). I have been using the Dell USB-C to HDMI/VGA/Ethernet/USB 3.0 Adapter (DA200) with the Yoga 900 without any problems. However, I can say with certainty that the Yoga 920 is incompatible with the Dell DA200 adapter. After reading many posts, I finally decided to purchase the Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub (4X90M60789) as a replacement. I had a local store rang Lenovo to confirm that it would work with my Yoga 920 before making the purchase. It arrived yesterday, and with two days of using and testing the connections Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub (Ethernet/HDMI/VGA/USB3.0); I can say that it works as expected. I'm not sure why Lenovo does not update their website to include the model Yoga 920 to be listed on the "Hardware Compatibility" list, as this will simply for the enduser to check - http://support.lenovo.com/docs/usb_c_travel_hub

Hello everyone,  I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB. I've only have the unit for about three (3) weeks and the batter is no longer able to charge when connected to the power supply that came with the unit. I checked the AC adapter to make sure that it was properly connected to PC and it was. I plugged it to different outlets and it didn't help. I bought a replacement powersupply from my local MicroCenter and still nothing. I checked the Control Panel, open up the Power Options to see if there were any settings in there but nothing to show why it wasn't chraging. Then Opened the Device Manager. Under "Batteries" I saw two items, one for the battery and another listed as "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery". I Opened each item, which will brought up the Properties window. Under the "Driver" tab looked for "Update Driver." I went through the two options and did the same process of updating drivers. I went through the driver update process for all options. Once the drivers are all up to date, I rebooted the laptop and plug it in again. Then i unninstalled "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" completely and reboot. Still the problem persists.  I even updated all the windows Updates. Then I opened Lenovo's Companion app. I updated all the drivers that need updating and nothing changed. Is it not charging at all, or just stuck at around 60%.    I ask because there i an option in Energy Management to select Maximum Battery Life, or Optimized Battery Health, and if set the latter (which I believe is the default), it will only charge to about 60 percent of capacity in an attempt to prolong the life of the battery.    Setting it to Maximum battery life will allow the batter to charge to 100% and you will get a longer run time, but you may have to replace the battery sooner.     If you leave the laptop usually plugged in, then optimized batter health is the better option. Cheers,

My 730's keyboard started acting up mid January. I didn't mind it and dealt with it. I do light gaming and the keyboard seems to have grown a large delay. Only when I am gaming. I check Task Manager and my RAM usage is at 60-70%. Disk around 39%. CPU not maxed out neither iGPU. What happens is when I am to press a key such as F when i press it it happens later and it starts to stack the commands. So if i press F once it will finish the input around 1- 0.5sec later. I've looked everywhere, I can't seem to find any solutions. I have FilterKeys disabled so thats not it. Backlight is off and FPS is capped to 60 same as my screen 60hz. Only keyboard, mouse entries are smooth and with no lag. It would be very helpful if someone could help.

Hello,Sorry for the disturbance,I have a problem with my laptop from the first month I bought it.It starts only when he wants, something like 5-10 days on a month. When I connect the original charger, the little led, lights in white color. If I press the power button, the contour of the button lights for 5 seconds. If I press and hold the power button for 15 sec I hear the fans turned on and off but after thar it does the same.I send it in warranty and they changed the motherboard, but when they send it back it has the same problem.I send it back and they canceled my waranty because they found a small dent in the case. Now, without the warranty I opened the case and found that the dent disturbed the motherboard or anything else in there. Since the case was opened, I unplugged the battery and check all the connections, plugged the battery back on. When I tried to power on the laptop, it worked normaly.I tried all the versions to power on and off and find that if it goes in sleep mode I can't turn it back on, only if I hold the power button 15 sec and then start from boot mode. After that, I changed all the power options so not to go into sleep mode and if it does, to don`t shut down the HardDisk. All those things worked until yesterday, when I clicked on Update and Shut Down and it didn't start since then.I take it apart piece by piece and put it back but it didn`t worked this time.Do you have any ideas, how cand I solve this problem?

Hello, I've problems with the Wifi card. From time to time the wifi card is not recognized correctly and it gets the yellow exclamation mark in the device manager and says the device could not be started. I tried the latest driver of Lenovo website and the latest of Intel website. Same problem. If it hppens I have to reinstall the driver and reboot multiple times and plug in and out the power (I didn't find a proper way to fix it) and suddenly it is working again for some days. I suppose Energy saving/hibernating problems but I'm not sure. I'm just afraid that my new device is having a hardware defect ;-( Does anyone else have similar issues?Any idea how to fix it? Thanks in advance,Michael

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to start a new post on this site so please forgive me for hijacking this thread.  I have a Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB Model Name 80VF that died about 4 months ago - battery quit charging.  It was three months past warranty...sigh.... I took it back to Best Buy and they told me my charging cable was fine and to get it fixed I'd have to send it off for 6 weeks and it would cost me a minimum of $500.00.  Since I was using this computer for my job (I'm self employed) this really wasn't an option so I went to the apple store and purchased a mackbook pro.  However, I would like to get this Lenovo fixed and use it as a backup.  My questions:1.  Should I replace the battery?2.  Lenovo seems to be out of stock of batteries:  Is there another source where I can buy on line?  I can't find anything.3.  Should I look at replacing the little circuit board that connects the power source to the battery?  I can't seem to find a P/N for it (I removed that back plate of the laptop). Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Support for this product from Lenovo has been underwhelming to say the least. Jeff BueNewark, Texas, USA

Hi Friends, I have encountered problem while installing new OS (Windows 10 PRO) on my lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB which we prefer more than the default Windows 10 Home because I have used it more for job related matters. But after it automatically restarts as this was also included on the installation process, the next process became a cycle of basic information request-wifi connection-express settings then restarts again, and the same process continuously repeats. Aside from it, the screen's touch screen feature and the mouse pad are not working. Can anyone help me regarding my concern. I have attached file with images. Thank you.

My laptop is only 1 year old and just ran out of warranty 10 days ago. I'm still going to call and see what they can do because my battery is completely drained, will not hold a bit of charge. I tried different outlets, nothing. I am plugged into the right charging port. Lenovo Vantage says my battery health is poor. I did not run any updates prior to this happening. I just ran every update except the BIOS which is not allowing me to since my battery is at 0% and requires a greater than 30% charge for safety. I do not know what I can do other than buy a new battery and try it out. Is this a BIOS issue or a battery issue? My battery was completely fine and I was just using the laptop a few hours ago. I put it to sleep and came back to it completely drained and not able to charge at all. Does anyone have any suggestions?

On the 5th of April i bought and ordered the Lenovo YOGA 730 13IKB Copper with Serial Number MP1EZR04 from this place, Heraklion, Crete, Greece. On the 5th of April Lenovo YOGA 730 15IKB Iron Grey arrived. So not the 13 inches Copper one but the 15 inches Iron Grey one. I sent it back because it didn?t suit my preferences thought i got something more expensive than the one i paid for.Ten days after, on the 15th of April, i got the right model, color and size. I was completely satisfied and i still am. It met all my expectations and it was good value for money, justifying the good and trustworthy name of Lenovo. It is also known in my work field that this is a very adequate piece of equipment for Light Design Software. I meant to use it for my work and i waited for it for a month.Within 10 days it started losing wifi signal, i called Lenovo Support in Greece, they told me to update the drivers, i did, but that didn?t seem to fix the issue. And last, but obviously, not least, on the 22nd of April, i opened the device and when i tried to flip it to tablet form, half way there, i heard a crack. I didn?t push it any further because i got worried. So i thought i should close it back, and then i heard a second crack. The screen broke at the right hinge point from the one corner to the diagonal one. The screen is stuck and it won?t fold or unfold, the touch feature of the screen does not work anymore, and i was frustrated, putting it nicely. I called Lenovo Greece Support and ... Read more

Hi...I am hoping to get some guidance on an issue that I am having.  We bought my daughter a Yoga 730 for college in July and she started experiencing issues with the screen flickering to the point she cannot use it except for in tablet mode.  In tablet mode she says it does not flicker at all but it is harder for her to use (and she honestly should be able to use it as a laptop also..that is why we chose the Yoga).  I purchased it via Amazon and their tech support sent links to update the BIOS etc. which my daughter has done but the flicker continues. My problem(s) are these 1) Get the flicker issue resolved.  Since it works fine in tablet mode it most likely is not a software issue and I have read quite a few posts online about the wire to the display being pinched but need someone who knows about these things to take a look at it and resolve the issue.  2) She is at college 13 hours away and needs to use her laptop on a daily basis for school.  The 13 hours means I cannot drive over to her dorm and take a look at it and her need to use it means she cannot go without a machine for long. If someone could provide some insight into how Lenovo typically handles these types of issues and what type of turnaround time she can expect?  There is a warranty place near where she is at school and that might help with the shipping time etc. but not sure. Thanks in advance....
