I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Looks like a programming error on their web site. Try FireFox that may work until they fix the site and you can also report the error to them.

Download L2MFix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts. Then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing Enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening. After a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 or any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Hi

I am having problems with my laptop and when I searched for some online help I came across your website so I hope you dont mind me posting this. Basically I have been abroad for several months and left this laptop here with my younger cousin. Now when i use it it isnt running very well at all and for some reason i keep getting the 'internet explorer cannot display this webpage' error message pretty much every time i try and go to a website or click a link! i keep pressing refresh and then after several attempts it will get to the intended target. Now, several attempts can sometimes mean ive been pressing refresh until ive literally got fed up and closed the window down, its taken that long! i noticed when i clicked the arrow next to the Back button to see my previous destinations there is often urls that i dont recognise and ones that i definately havent visited!

I just tried a malwarebytes scan and it found nothing.

I use this laptop regularly so it is imperitive i get this sorted out as browsing the web is nearly impossible and extremely frustrating. I timed it and it took me 22 minutes to finally get to post this message due to repetitive error messages! lol

Thanks in advance!

Hi there:

First of all I used Internet Explorer 7, my operating system is Microsoft Windows XP

Well the issue I'm having is that when I view a webpage such www.myspace.com and want to view my profile and all, my profile contains a music player and 2 videos as well. so the music player won't work and the 2 videos I have on my webpage, all it shows is a blank empty white box with nothing on it. So as soon I open the webpage an error massage displays saying:

Windows Internet Explorer:
Stop running the script?
A script on this webpage is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive!

I hope someone out there can help me with this issue since it's kinda anoying and it makes my compyter slower, only when I view the profile on the website I use!

Well Thanks and hope someone will replay!

A:Internet Explorer Error Upon Opening Browser

Hello thebaseball2001 and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. I see no signs of viruses or malware in the log. It is clean.

My guess is that it is probably either an IE configuration issue or perhaps something in Norton Internet Security is preventing IE from running properly. I would suggest posting a question in the Web Browsing forum and let them do a little deeper analysis of some of the settings. Let them know that you have been to this forum and no malware was found.

Cheers.

Hello ravindrankv

You will need help to get rid of that.

Please read this article; "Having problems with spyware and pop-ups? - First Steps"; follow the instructions very carefully; then, post all the requested logs and information; as instructed, in the HiJackThis Log Help Forum
Please ensure that you create a new thread in the HiJackThis Log Help Forum; not back here in this one.
(Please change the new Thread Subscription to ?Instant Email Notification? so that you receive an email as soon as a reply is posted,)

When carrying out The 5 Steps, if you cannot complete any of them for whatever reason, just continue on with the next one until they are all completed.
However,it is extremely important to make mention of the fact that you could not complete any of the steps in your post to The HJT Help Forum; where an Analyst will assist you with other workarounds.

Once done, please be patient, as the Security Team Analysts are usually very busy; one of them will answer your request as soon as they can.

I ask this because I now have two servers running. One for the intranet and one for the website. I want people from the outside to be able to access the website, but not the intranet and people from the inside able to access both.

Someone please help me out here as I am not to familiar with MS IIS.

No one else is having this issue when visiting the same website on their computers, it only happens to her. I reset IE's settings on her computer but that didn't fix the issue. I can use a different web browser on her computer to visit the website, so I
know the website isn't the problem.

I get the following error message when trying to access a word document through an Intranet Link ("Open from current location" option):

Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied.

The system is NT 4.0, running Internet Explorer 5

I have tried accessing the file on two other computers that have the same basic setup and I am able to. The security settings are all identical and I cannot access even with an admin account on the problem computer. I have the proper access to the file as I can download it at another computer. When I choose the "Save to disk" option the file is saved with a WPD extension. When I try this option on another computer it downloads this with the proper .doc extension. I have tried upgrading the browser to 5.5 but this did not help. Both systems are running the same version of Word (97).

A:Opening Word Doc in I.E. 5 from Intranet Link

If you get access denied errors, then it must be a security permissons issue. Something about your account on the computer with the problem is different or has different rights or permissions on the system or to the file. You would need to go over all rights and permissions very carefully to spot the differences. Check your group memberships and what access rights they all have to the file/folder. If any one of them has access denied set it will over-ride all of the others.

As a workaround, download the file to one of the computers that can access it, put it in a shared folder and see if you can then access the copy of it you have just created from the problem machine.

If you can then it is definitely a permissions/security issue of the account used on the first machine.

Today my computer froze and it was rebooted. I was then unable to boot normally and had to repair from my Vista installation CD. Once I was able to log in, I was presented with error messages that when I closed them, a browser opened to the page luxecodecxpDOTcom. This page appears to be trying to sell you software to improve your sound quality. My background and resolution were altered after being logged on for some time.

First Error Message: " Windows can't play the following media formats; AVI, ASF;WMV;AVS;[...]MID. Update your video codec to solve this issue."

Other Message: Warning! Your media codec is out of date. Press OK to update.

Another Message: Warning! Fatal Error! The media codec on your computer is corrupt ....

There is also a red circle in my task bar with a white X (very similar looking to the Windows Security Alerts icon)

Before finding this site I ran Malwarebytes' Antimalware and it found 18 items and removed them. The issue still exists.

Also, when I try to launch task manager it fails. When I navigate to it in my system32 folder it and double click it says: Windows cannot find file C:\windows\system32\taskmgr.exe Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again.

Hi,

We have an odd issue. IE11 is running all sites in compatibility mode. This appears to be because it is treating all sites as being in the Intranet Zone. This is:
a) breaks many websites that require modern browsers
b) is a huge security issue as many protections are disabled by default on the intranet zone.

Has anyone else seen this or have ideas on what we can do to solve it.

I will add that we have autodetect proxy settings enabled, and wpad hosts a proxy.pac that instructs browsers to go direct to all websites.

Thanks

Nick

Hello,

Recently my internet explorer 7 started launching itself and go to unknown websites : its not a normal launch since its only visible at the task manager procces page and the websites didnt show in the history file.
As I have experiance using my PC I begun doing everything I know.
After Having my computer scanned with many anti malware/spyware proggrams including - Malwarebytes,RogueRemover,Kaspersky,Avg and few more. I failed to find what was causing this and why there isnt any history records of this.
Doing some more research I found a program to view the contents of the explorers history file (IEHV) what I found is that the explorer goes to this site :

tibia-inject.com/ping.php?id=68085&conf=uwp33&infid=1375893814&infname=lol (DONT CLICK IT!!!!!!!!!)

So far I have failed to remove this but I suppose its some sort of keylogger for the game tibia. I have zemana Antilogger but it doesnt catch this 1.
All of my attempts to remove it or finding information on the web on how to remove it have not been succesfull all I found are known rogue program sites so I obviously avoided them in order to not get anything even worse.

If anyone have encountered a similar problem or can refer me to a topic on how to remove this horribly nasty infection and willing to share it here please do.

Thanks

I was at my friend's house and connected his ethernet cable to my laptop. I checked my email and downloaded a document file and along came a scareware? I'm not really sure how a virus or scareware came into my laptop. It was a fake antispyware soft program. I used Superantispyware and another Mareware removal program to try and delete the virus/scareware. I think these two program did the job, but now my Internet Explorer won't work. I think it is something I did with these two programs, but I'm not sure. This is my hijackthis log below, can anyone please help me solve this problem? Thank you.

i've looked all over the net and i can't seem to find the answer to why my internet explorer won't open www.ezboard.com. I have a problem with shdoclc.dll i believe. Whenever i go to ezboard it says "cant find server." thats the only page that i've had trouble with. I know the problem isn't with ezboard though because i can get on the site on my college campus computers. My computer downstairs and this computer both won't let me access any sites on ezboard. I use Windows XP SP1. HELP ME PLEASE! I've tried hp recovery to see if that works and it didn't. i can't delete internet explorer either. there isn't the option on the add/remove programs list to delete IE.

Your log is actually clean. Here's a couple tools to try, let me know if they work in resolving your problem.

Please download Ad-aware SE and install it if you don't have it already. Make sure it's the newest version and check for any updates before running it. Go to this site to get the plug-in for fixing VX2 variants. To run this tool, go into Ad-aware->Add-ons and select VX2 Cleaner. Then click Run Tool and OK to start it. If it's clean, it will say Status System Clean. Otherwise, you will have to click on the Clean button to remove the VX2 infection. Also make sure to customize the settings in Ad-aware for better scan results. Run the scan and fix everything that it finds.

Download WinsockFix and unzip it. Then double-click on it to run it.

Hello everyone,

Recently i have purchased a new web design for my web hosting company website, the website template was ok at the start but after i customised it everything went pearshaped, i use the built-in HTML editor in cPanel which is a web hosting control panel to edit my website viewing it from Mozilla Firefox, everything looks ok and the website was getting on great but when i went to view my website on Internet explorer everything looked messed up the text was everywhere the images where misplaced, so i though this is just my PC playing up again so i asked my friend who has both IE7 & IE8 Beta, it was roughly the same, i don't no what to do anymore. Any ideas how i can fix this?

Thanks

Hi,

I recently made a website using Microsoft Publisher and then I edited it with a 30-day trial of Dreamweaver....I've put it on the web...it seems to be working great with firefox but on internet explorer its slow, images take a very long time to load, the page is off center, etc., here's the link to the website...thanks for any help!

http://www.hep.upenn.edu/Quarknet/summer2008/index.htm

A:My Website Works In Firefox But Not Internet Explorer.

Hmm, if you're seriously interested in creating websites you're probably better off learning HTML, CSS (&Possibly Javascript)... Using publisher is probably not the best of ideas, and i've never been impressed by dreamweaver.

If you're interested in learning HTML then i suggest the tutorials here: www.w3schools.com which can guide you through creating w3 standard websites...

As for the problem i see no reason that it should be lagging on one browser and not on the other. And your images are relatively small so i really don't see the problem.

Cheers,
Jamey

Hi, I think this goes in this category but I'm not sure- I have two Experience Project ( www.experienceproject.com) accounts, and I can usually use them both, but yesterday, and the problem has persisted into this morning, I log on/refresh the page, and the webpage goes white and says 'Sorry, your account is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later, or if the problem persists, please contact us.' There is a link on contact us but it doesnt go anywhere either. If someone could tell me the problem, and/or what I should do it would be very much appreciated as I really need to communicate with someone on there soon. Thanks x

Try again tomorrow. If it persists, try a different web browser.

Hey, this is an odd problem. I Have two computers connected to the wireless netgear router and my desktop connected directly through the cable.

Now I can access the internet just fine, get on games like theres no problem. However there is one website that I can not access from any three of the computers. I think its odd.

I was on one of my games earlier, I said to a friend. "Hey how long has basilmarket.com been down."

The reply was odd, "It's not, I'm on right now!"

So why could the server for the site still be running and all my friends view the page but when I go I get

"The connection has timed out

The server at www.basilmarket.com is taking too long to respond.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web."

I don't understand why it would just be me.

I cleared all my cache on two of the computers and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

End users access a website and normally after they answer security questions for the website they can check "remember this computer" and they will not be prompted to answer them again. Since changing to Windows 10, when the end user goes to that
website, even though they check the "remember this computer" option, they are prompted every time to answer security questions. The vendor said that it is nothing on their site. Is there a setting on Windows 10 or IE 11 that is doing this?

I'm not exactly sure what the best subforum is to post this issue.

Yesterday I did a clean install of Windows 7 RC. I don't have any problems with this thing on other machines.

However if I go to the website www.weblogzwolle.nl I don't see the entire website. Has this got something to do with my screen? Or with Internet Explorer 8?
What I am missing is basically the side bars of the web page.

Thanks!

Edit: on another machine running the same Win7 RC and IE8 I can see the web page perfectly!

A:Internet Explorer 8 not displaying entire website

Hello Plantje,

I seem to be able to see that website without any problems. You might see if using Compatibility View with the site may help. If not, then see if resetting IE8 may.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Windows XP Pro-IE8:

Gentlemen and Ladies:

I have an issue I have been trying to solve without success. I have used and opened a sports website for years called bleacherreport.com which also sends me daily sports updates in several catagories through emails to my outlook express 6
mail client.

For some unknown reason recently, none of my 3 browsers (IE8/Firefox/Google Chrome) can open Bleacherreports.com and when I get the emails from Bleacherreport.com (which I still receive daily) and try to open one of the articles in the daily update,I get the following Security warning Window in IE8 which is my default browser:

THE CURRENT WEBPAGE IS TRYING TO OPEN A SITE IN YOUR TRUSTED SITES LIST. DO
YOU WANT TO ALLOW THIS?

CURRENT SITE http://.b.bm.324.com

TRUSTED SITE http://bleacherreport.com

YES - NO

Warning: Allowing this can expose your computer to security risks. If you don't trust the current web page, choose no.

I CHOOSE YES,the window closes and I get the mesage -INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBSITE!

What gives?? I know this is an active site--Why won't my computer allow me to connect. I have removed Comodo Internet Security and have kept the Comodo firewall and replaced the Comodo antivirus element with Panda antivirus which has cured some some other issues I have experienced but that didn't resolve this problem.

Please take a shot as this if you can--would really appreciate the help!

Respectfully,

manofmarin
