Gateway Tablet PC, I need the 'Tablet Buttons driver'

Q: Gateway Tablet PC, I need the 'Tablet Buttons driver'

I downloaded the 'driver' on the gateway website:

after downloading & Extracting the file. a 'read-me' file pops up.

it reads:

This document describes the steps necessary to install the Tablet PC button drivers for the notebook computer models listed in the Applicable Part Numbers section below.

1. From the Start menu, right-click Computer, and then click Manage.

2. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.

3. In the left pane, click Device Manager.

4. In Device Manager, click the plus sign (+) next to Human Interface Devices.

5. Click Tablet PC Buttons, and then from the Action menu, click Update Driver Software.

6. The Hardware Update Wizard displays. Click Browse my computer for driver software.

7. In the Update Driver Software dialog box, type or browse to the C:\Cabs\D20113-002-001 folder. Click Next.

8. Open the D20113-002-001 folder and confirm the selection of the qttabbtn.inf file. Click Open.

9. Follow all onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

I get stuck at step number 5.. I do not have a 'Tablet PC buttons'!! (this is the reason why I need to download it..).. it seems to me this 'driver download' is actually an update for the driver. and not the driver its self.?

I downloaded other drivers from them, for my computer and they all worked great.. they all had easy 'install' buttons... but this one... nooo.. it has some kind of step by step thing that doesn't work!

I talked to several tech people at gateway... each one just sent me to the same page to download that same 'driver update'...
and then finally the last one I got my point across that THAT driver step by step does not work.. and they told me that the 'last option' is to send me to some tech support thing called 'answers' that you have to pay 59.99 for a half hour of tech support... I don't know about you. but thats steep!!

anyways.. I hope someone can help me..

Preferred Solution: Gateway Tablet PC, I need the 'Tablet Buttons driver'

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: Gateway Tablet PC, I need the 'Tablet Buttons driver'

After opening the qttabbtn.inf file (installation script), I found these alternative names for "Tablet PC Buttons." Try finding one of these names in the Device Manager:
"Quanta Computer Inc."

"Quanta Computer Tablet PC Buttons HID Driver"

I have upgraded my X201 Tablet to Windows 10 32bit. As far as I can tell, everything is working, including the WACOM drivers and touchscreen.  Wireless has worked perfectly so far, not sure about Bluetooth as I don't use it. My only issue is that the buttons on the display do not work. The power button located on the display does work. I tried installing the Tablet Button Driver II and it will go through the install but the buttons do not work.  This is the download link:http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds027627 The document claims Windows 10 compatability and was Last Updated :08 Jun 2015. On inspection, all the files extracted are dated from 2012 and when trying to manually run the software Windows throws up an error that the software is not supported on this PC.   I removed and reinstalled and noted that the driver information page when running the installer does NOT have Windows 10 listed as a supported system. My assumption is that the driver that they have linked on the download page is NOT the most current driver and is infact the driver for Windows 7 from 2012. Does anyone know how to contact Lenovo to get the correct driver posted to the page, or know of an alternate source to try and find it?

hi, I can't help you with your question, sorry! Gooed to hear everything else is working fine on your system. Can you tell me what to do to get the x201 tablet's touchscreen to work!? I will have a clean windows 10 install. Where do i get the (right) drivers (windows, Wacom?) Thanx!Carlo

Hey guys. I don't know what happened to my display, but once I reinstalled Windows 10, the display (under Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Pen and Touch -> Display tab -> Display Options -> Display drop-down box) only shows that I have a mobile pc display. But I know that is not correct. And what's worse is that the tablet buttons are not installed in my system. Those two exact problems might be why only the right side of my touch screen is working. I already have the correct driver for my touchscreen laptop so I'm CERTAIN that's not the problem. Can someone (anyone!) help me with solving the first problem and redirect me toward the tablet buttons I need for my Lenovo B50-30 Touch in order to solve the second? I want my full functionality back on my laptop. Thank you very much. Sincerely, organanon

I'm having difficulties installing the tablet buttons in WINDOWS 8.1 Pro. Everything else works, perfectly.

In Windows 8 Pro this buttons worked nicely, but now, after a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro two of the buttons don't work. The buttons are the Toshiba assist button and the presebtation button. I've tried to configure them in Toshiba assist software but nothing happens.

I'm sure I've installed all drivers that made wverything work with Windows 8. As anyone tryed this and add success?

A:Portege M750 and Win8.1 Pro -tablet buttons don't work

> I'm sure I've installed all drivers that made wverything work with Windows 8

Windows 8.1 is not Windows 8 and many of Toshiba Win 8 drivers and tools don?t work or are not fully compatible with Win 8.1

As far as I know the Toshiba does not support Win 8.1 on this Portege M750.
This means that no Win 8.1 drivers will be released and in such case some notebook features like the control buttons could not work properly.

Fact is that using Windows Vista or Win 7, such buttons were controlled by Value Added Package. This package does not exist for Win 8.1 and has been replaced by other software called Toshiba System Driver

So in case you want to try to get the buttons to work, I recommend checking this with Toshiba System Driver

If it is still under warranty, call Lenovo. IF you tried to reset to factory defaults, and it is still failing, then you have something else that is going bad. My suspicion would be memory as that is what happened to me although it was on a desktop. Something to check...good luck.

Lets see where I can start. I have noticed latly my gateway which is a CX2620 is doing weird things. It seems to have something to do with it not being shut down properly. I have noticed sometimes I will put my computer on standby and turn it back on, then my computer seems to freeze for 10 to 20 seconds every minute to 45 seconds. It will be running fine, then boom, everything stops including music for 10 to 20 seconds. It is very annoying and there is nothing you can do about it. So I go to shut down my computer and it gets to the shutting down screen sometimes and just quits thinking and wont finish shutting down. Or I tell it to shut down and it wont even leave windows, it just stays in windows like I dind't even chose to shut it down.

Sometimes when it isn't freezing up and it is running normal I will go to shut it down, and it will not respond to that, it will just stay open. Sort of like what I said above, except in this instance I can open my task manager and go under processes and close "skype.exe" and then like magic my computer will shut down.

I really have no idea why this is happening. If my computer will not exit windows, or if it does exit windows but stays at the "windows is shutting down" screen I have no choice but to press and hold the power button down untill it shuts off. THen when I start it up it seems to have the same problem, freezing every minute or so for about 15 seconds. Has anyone heard of this?

I have installed win7 64 bit ("fresh install" on my M750-129) and i have also downloaded and installed all the newest drivers from toshiba website.
the device manager shows no problem / drivers needed, and trhings like HDD protection work well.

However, i have four groups of problems i would love and appreciate to find answer:

1) when i change the screen position to tablet, it does not change the orientation nor the resolution.
There is no utility to set the desired orientations of screen as it was in vista (horribly unstable and slow OS, though).
This, naturally, is diminishing the usefullness of the tablet finction

2) the buttons do not work properly; the screen rotation button starts excel (!!) , the centre of mobility button starts word (!!), and the toshiba assistance button does not work at all

3) fingerprints: the fingerprint utility lets me to screen my fingerprint, asks if it should save it, and than says "saving impossible; another duplicate pattern exists" which i completely do not understand what it means...

4) some applications are not available at all after fresh install: face recognition, DVD player, bussines card screener - but i can love without those; 1-3 worries me much much more and i would appreciate any functional help. thanx on advance for any try!

A:Portege M750 tablet, buttons and fingerprint functions not working in win7

I think you would need an extension package in order to use the tablet functions on the Portege series.
I didn?t find the Tablet PC Extension Package for Win 7 but there is an package for Win Vista.

Usually many tools and drivers which were released for Vista would work with Win 7.
So in my opinion you should try to install additionally this Tablet PC Extension Package.
I think this should solve the issue with the buttons too!

Regarding the fingerprint;
I think the message means that an fingerprint was already registered and therefore an second save is not possible.
Check if you can delete other fingerprints?

Dear Lenovo-Community,my Thinkpad S1 Yoga change into tablet modus not only when I fold back the monitor but also when I have closed the lid normaly and than reopened it or sometimes by slightly moving the monitor or a minor percussion of the table. That is very annoying, because than I have no access to keyboard or touchpad while beeing in the laptop-shape. I can revive keyboard/touchpad by folding back the monitor and than back to the normal laptop shape, but this works only one time! After that I have to send the thinkpad in the energy saving mode and wake it up, to get keyboard/touchpad back.I think it is a problem with the sensor, but does there a software setting exist so keyboard/touchpad keep unlocked in tablet-modus? Or a way to switch off the tablet-modus completely? I can live without the tablet-modus and the thinkpad is probably too old to be worth a great repair. My system is fully updated. Any idea out there?

I have recently acquired a “Genius NewSketch 1212” tablet. It is an old tablet but it has never been used. It came in its original box… completely new. Only one problem, it was missing the driver disk. I am running window XPpro, any body know where I can get a driver for this? I have looked on the net but I only get driver scanners promising me that they will update all the drivers on my computer. I am very skeptical about these types of downloads… especially when there are exe files. Are there any of these site that are legitimate and they do what they say, if so can some one give me a link?

You should be able to go to the www.geniusnet.com web site and download the driver directly from their site. They have an XP driver for a "NewSketch 1212HR III". The way they have their navigation set up I could not provide a direct link to the download page. You'll have to navigate through the Service & Support links on your own from the home page.

Hoping I can find some help here.

We have a standard android tablet that we use to deploy throughout stores that runs an android app that we use.

We use Google's ADB to deploy our application and I do this VIA a workstation that I have set up running Windows 7 64 bit.

My issue is that when I connect a new device windows fails to find a driver for it, this isn't so bad as I need to replace the driver anyway with the google usb driver (android_winusb.inf) anyway but when I point the update driver process from the device manager to the folder it tells me that the there is no driver for this device in that location.

I then go through the process of manually associating the driver with the device (accepting warnings that it might not work, etc).

What I am after is a method of associating this specific driver with this type of device so that when I connect a new device of the same type fresh out of the box it will automatically install the android_winusb.inf as the driver for that device.

Thanks in advance.

Hello folks;

Recently got a new tablet (Wacom Intuos 3) For my Thinkpad Laptop, and I'm having a very naggy problem.

My Laptop is Password protected. So whenever after I log off or close the laptop I'm faced with the password screen, (as usual). Then, when I get back to the desktop, my tablet is either not working at all, or the Wacom software isn't working (which means the pen to tablet interaction works, but I don't have features like tilt or pressure control anymore.)

How can this be fixed? I've tried reinstalling the driver with the software the tablet came with, but it doesn't change anything.

A:Tablet Driver Woes: Logging out

Hi Nichol3, I have virtually the same problem, Bought a new HP Pavilion tx2000 Notebook. Almost immediately I got the errors with Tablet driver you are talking about. HP tech help said "take it back", or do a full system recovery. I decided to do the system recovery. It solved it for the last week, but tonight I get the same error message when pc boots up. "Tablet driver not running".
As you say I can use the pen, but can't use any of the features.
I really agree that this is very naggy, considering both our notebook pc's are brand new.
I really hope that someone can solve our problem. It may be a specific problem with our wacom software, as that seems to be the one thing our pc's have in common!

Hello, I've just got a new Yoga 260 with totally fresh install of Windows 10 v1511 (just before the Anniversary update).  Unfortunately, I have had to uninstall the Wacom Pen driver (WinTab) because it is slamming my CPU (well, slamming one of the two cores).  The WinTab service - specifically, "Tablet Service for ISD Driver" - sits pegged at about 50% - or one CPU core.  Of course this means the fan runs non stop, and my battery life is awful. So, I've uninstalled the WinTab driver for now.  I've lost pressure sensitivity with the stylus, but at least the CPU is better.  I just wanted someone at Lenovo to know so that they can look in to it and hopefully get an update.  I'm on version: Thanks!

I received a new large Wacom Pro last week, and since then, my life has been hell trying to get it to work.

Something specific to my Windows 7 machine is blocking the computer's ability to detect the tablet's driver, causing it to work erratically, be detected as a HID mouse, have no button detection, and have no pen sensitivity whatsoever.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers off the Wacom website several times and even replaced my Wacom Pro, but after getting it to work with no problems on other machines (after getting rid of KB3004394 on them, which confused the issue I was having), I've narrowed it down to this computer specifically.

I've tried different USB ports to no avail. My dinky little wacom Bamboo Pen installs right back in just fine on the same USB ports, so it can't be a USB hardware issue. The drivers that I download and the drivers Windows 7 downloads seem to be okay, and are probably why my tablet works at all.

This is what I think the problem is: something in Win 7 seems to be blocking the driver in the USB connection itself. This is due to me getting the error 'THE TABLET DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND' when I try to go into Wacom Tablet Properties. I've got no way beyond that to troubleshoot the problem, however.

Possible suspects:

- Around 11/12, my computer decided it was not genuine. I can't remember what I did that finally got rid of this error, but I think the Check Disk OS scanner that can be accessed through the disk properties menu. Up... Read more

A:Something in Win 7 blocking Wacom Pro tablet driver from working

Sounds weird... Looks like new drivers for USB devices are not a) installed correctly or b) installed, but windows cannot find them.

Have you tried uninstalling the Bamboo Pen drivers, this drivers, and then reinstalling the new drivers? Sometimes that tends to fix this kind of issues. If this doesn't do the trick for you, revert to an old restore point before 11/12, then try to install drivers. That BSOD is not normal... maybe reverting to the old restore point can fix both your tablet issues and the BSOD itself...

Hope this helps

Hi all, I've noticed that my Yoga 910 is not auto rotatingwhen I set it to tent mode nor to tablet mode. Not only it doesn't auto rotate but it also keep the keyboard active... Not sure if this is a faulty sensor problem or just some bug. I've tried to follow the solutions presented in other topics but without success even tried a system restore but the problem is still here. I can't really identify which update has created this situtation but I know that when a couple of months ago it was still working. I also have the impression that more are affected, so could Lenovo release a patch to troubleshoot and solve such an important issue for a Yoga product (basically there is no Yoga functionality with this problem). Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

After several minutes into the update I got the message that the ISD driver must be uninstalled! Why it couldn't tell me that before when checking my system for the update is a MS glitch I think. I stopped the update.
This driver is for the touch screen in tablet mode I think so will that facility not work in Win 10 or will there be a Win 10 ISD driver?
I cannot find out from the Lenovo support sites but from Googling 'Win 10 update for ISD driver' I got the Lenovo page link http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds041384 which I don't understand.
Can anyone please enlighten me on this matter - thanks.

A:Win 10 update problem for Lenovo X201 Tablet (ISD driver)

It relates to WinTab which is for pen pressure - nothing about ISD driver - this is my non understanding.

Hello WinSevenForums,

I'm new here, and I got a problem.
I'm looking for a latest driver for my Wacom Intuos 3 tablet, which I bought back in 2007.

What I need is a link to the latest driver, and step-by-step instructions on how to safely install the new driver. Do I have to uninstall the old software and tablet then install the new driver first? etc, etc.

I would appreciate it.
