I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I hope someone can help me.  I am having an issue with connecting my Lenovo ThinkPad X380 Yoga to a USB-C Dock.  I have installed all of the drivers and enabled Thunderbold 3 within BIOS, however only the USB, LAN connections work when I plug the dock into the Laptop.  The two displays that are plugged into the dock via Display Port do not work and the laptop seems not able to detect the displays.  Things I have tried: Plugged in only one monitor using both VGA and DP but still nothing.Uninstalled and reinstralled the drivers.Ran the Lenovo support tool to make sure all drivers on the laptop are up to date.Power cycled both the laptop and dock. As I said the USB devices plugged into the dock seem to work fine as does the LAN.  I have tried to update the firmware on the dock however I keep getting the following message: ThinkPad USB-C DP Hub version can't be checked! Please power cycle the Dock to try again. I have powercycled but still have the same message.  I am all out of ideas as to why the displays do not work.   Any ideas?

I have a Lenovo X1 Carbon and I was considering either purchasing the Thinkpad Onelink Pro Dock or the Thinkpad One Link Dock.  I need to be able to connect a monitor and keyboard to my new computer. I have a some questions that I was hoping someone can help with.  1.  What is the difference between the Pro Dock and the Regular Dock? 2.  If my monitor does not have HDMI will these two docking stations still allow me to connect a monitor? 3.  Can you connect two monitors with both the pro dock and regular dock stations? 4.  Are there other docking station options that are better? 5.  Do these docking stations work with all versions of the x1 carbon? Your help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Hello everyone, since I use both, the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Tablet 2nd and 3rd Gen, I was wondering whether there was an adapter or anything I could use in order to use my 2nd Gen Lenovo Thinkpad OneLink+ Dock (EU) with my 3rd Gen X1 Tablet. Is there any such solution or do I have to buy a whole new dock? Best regards

Hello, I am starting a new job where I will b working from home. Before my orientation, I purchased two monitors for my home office. I am currently at my orientation for this week and was just provided my work laptop (ThinkPad T460). My question is: what docking station or stations are available for me to purchase where I can plug my two monitors into the station and be able to use both the monitors AND laptop at the same time. I am not the most techy person, so you may have to dumb down your responses. I've read several reviews on Lenovo docking stations and some people are saying their monitors will only work with the laptop shut or if the laptop is open then only one of the monitors will work. I want both monitors AND the laptop to be able to be used at the same time. Are you able to point me in the right direction to the right docking station or docking stations that would allow me to accomplish this for my home office? Thank you very much in advance!

I'm looking for a list of docking stations compatible with my Lenovo thinkpad x240. I've tried a few "universal" ones but they seem to have issues connecting to my laptop (work device) due to, what I believe, the lack of a USB 3.0 connection on the laptop (the drivers seems to attempt to install but fail). So I'm really just looking for confirmation that there are docking stations out there that will work with this laptop. I've had a look at the Accessories and Options Compatibility Matrix (OCM) but that doesn't cover devices prior to 2016 apparently, which my model seems to fall into.

According to https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/docksSearch/ the Lenovo T480 20L6 laptop is compatible with the ThinkPad Ultra Docking Station. However the docking station uses an entirely different power supply than the laptop (the old blocky rectangular one vs the newer mini rounded rectangle). The laptop itself fits on the docking station, but does not charge despite the docking station being plugged in. There are two connector slots on the dock that appear to be for the newer power supply, however neither of those provide power either. Is the docking station incorrectly listed as compatible when it really isn't, is there a hardware malfunction, or something else entirely?

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad P50 with ThinkPad Workstation Dock. It is now paired with a old monitor and I wan't to invest in a good monitor.  I use it for different task at work, including regular office (word, excel ...), web browsing, digital drawing, photo editing, video editing (both HD and  4K 3840 x 2160) and viewing VR models in Sketchfab.  I'm looking at ThinkVision monitors and I wonder if whether HD, UHD or 4K is the right choice, I would be happy to get recommendations? Is it capable of 4K? If I buy two monitors, do they have to be similar regarding definition and aspect ratio? Specifications:Lenovo Thinkpad P50 Windows 10Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1505M v5 @ 2.80GHz32GB RAM64-bitIntel(R) HD Graphics P530 Regards,Ron

A:Lenovo Thinkpad P50 - recommendation for monitor (docking station with monitors)

There is no right choice for everyone.  I will say that right now, I am using a ThinkVision X1 (4k) and it looks really good to me.  I really like the sharp text.  The speakers aren't great, which is common for thin monitors.  The viewing angles are good.  I removed the stand and am using a VESA-mounted stand, which I like.

Hello, I recently bought a X380 laptop, sadly no pen was included. I would like to buy one, however, I wanted to know what pens are compatible with it? For example, are pens from the X1 yoga compatible with X380 (i.e fit into the tray and can be charged)? I know I can buy the original one, but I could find much cheaper pens for the X1, so I wondered whether they are compatible.

Hi,Wondering if it is possible to plug a set of standard iPhone earphones (that have an in-line mic) into an HP 2013 UltraSlim Docking Station. The hope is that the earphones will allow for both audio out from the laptop and microphone recording into the laptop. The iPhone earphones work perfectly this way when plugged into the laptop jack. When I plug the earphones into the line-out of the dock they work well (can listen to music), but the microhpone doesn't work when plugged into the line-in of the dock. My idea is to use something like this http://www.cablechick.com.au/cables/avencore-4-pole-trrs-to-35mm-stereo-mic-splitter-cable-female-to...or this https://www.pccasegear.com/products/32027/audio-splitter-cable-female-3-5mm-to-2-x-male-3-5mm but my concerns are this http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=1849381&docId=emr_na-c04352894&docLocale... Does anyone have any advice?

I am doing so by connecting one of the monitors to the DVI-D output on the docking station and 1 to a USB to HDMI converter (I was having issues with the VGA for some reason). I understand that I can only use 2 display ports to do this so I intent to add a USB32DPPRO to achieve this, however my question is will they all run @ 60Hz. I have found this link which confirms I can run 2 displays at the resolution I'm after, but it does not mention anything about the refresh rate. https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/migr-76767.  I'm just a little confisued as when you start looking at refresh rates on 4K for example, it says you can only run 1 screen @ 60Hz and if you add another screen the refresh rate drops to 30Hz for both. A:Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 docking station does not charge Thinkpad P51 battery.

Everbody's p51 would be the same.  The thunderbolt port won't work as a charging port.  The thunderbolt specs specify 100w max.  That's not enough.  Your thunderbolt port is not for charging.  To charge via the dock, you need a workstation dock, not a thunderbolt dock.  A thinderbolt dock can charge things like an x1 carbon (5th gen) or x1 yoga (2nd gen)

I decided to experiment with Ubuntu on an old IBM X30 laptop, which has not been actively used for a long time. I tried to undock the docking station from the start menu of Windows (I need to replace the hard drive) - it demanded to set the hibernation mode. Installed, but when it overloaded to sleep mode, the computer shuts down and does not return to operating mode.I remembered that the battery was disconnected in the laptop, found and connected it to the docking station (there is also a connector for the battery). I tried to charge it, but the charge lasts for 10-20 seconds of the computer running from the battery (the voltmeter shows ~ 10 V on the battery, as it should be).In the laptop there is a lever for undocking the docking station, but it does not work. Apparently the only way to undock the docking station => from Windows. Please tell me how to undock the docking station in this situation? Is it possible to power the laptop from an external power supply during hibernation? - only in order to undock the docking station.
