I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I do not believe you can be signed in to multiple gmail accounts on the same browser at the same time.

However if you open one of your gmail accounts in a different browser (Internet Explorer for example) you can do that.

Hello, does anyone know the best way to accomplish having two gmail accounts open SIMULTANEOUSLY, whether in Chrome (preferred) using a workaround or extension, or in Firefox?  (There are plenty of options out there to handle password management to switch between accounts with a click or two, but if you want to be in two at the same time, the only things I've been able to find for Chrome at least is to open two different windows one in Incognito the other in regular mode.)  It would be MUCH easier to have both email accounts open in respective tabs within the same window.
Anyone found a way to do this yet (in either Chrome or Firefox, Opera)?

A:Being in multiple gmail accounts simultaneously

I don't think its possible natively, due the nature of how cookies and sessions are handled.

I have three gmail accounts that I access in Thunderbird. They all receive emails perfectly, but the issue is when I reply or send email from these accounts. (I've listed my SMTP settings after each).

Account One: [email protected] (this is a work email, and it sends and receives perfectly) SMTP.gmail.com

Account Two: [email protected] (this sends and receives perfectly) sMtp.gmail.com

Account Three: [email protected] (this receives perfectly, but when I reply it shows as being sent by [email protected]) smtp.gmail.com

Any idea how I can fix this? I want to get it set up correctly on my computer and then I will do the same on my iPhone.

Thanks in advance!

(By the way, I'm running Vista, Thunderbird 3.1.12

A:Solved: SMTP issue with multiple gmail accounts in Thunderbird

You'll need to set up an SMTP server for each account.
It sounds like you're sending using the personal accounts server.
Tools>Accounts>Outgoing server(SMTP).
On the right click Add, type a unique description for the business account, the username for the business account (which should be different from your personal) and check the "use password".
Once the server is set, click the Business account in the left pane.
In the right pane, set the "Outgoing Server" drop list to the newly created SMTP server and click OK.
When you send a mail from that account the first time, you should be asked for the username and password. Check the box to have it remembered.
On the compose window you'll have a drop down on the From line that will list what account you wish to send the message from. It should automatically be the account you're sending from, but if you use the global inbox instead of separate account inboxes, you may have to select it.

I use the new Windows Live Mail client to access two IMAP accounts, Gmail and one provided by my University. Gmail works such that whenever you send an email through it, it automatically puts a copy in the Sent Mail folder. So if the WLM client tries to put a copy there as well, you end up with two copies of the email in the Sent Mail folder. The University IMAP account doesn't work like this. A copy will only appear in the Sent Mail folder for that account if the client program puts a copy there.

So the problem is the way WLM handles this. Most IMAP settings are specific to the account. You right click on an account, go to settings, and then go to the IMAP section and specify the folders and stuff like that. However, the option of whether or not WLM puts a copy of an email you send in the Sent Mail folder can only be set for the entire client.

In Tools->Options->Send is the checkbox for this option. If it's checked, I get a single copy of sent mail in the University account and two copies in Gmail. If it is unchecked I get no copies for the University account and just one for Gmail.

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

edit: Oh, and a side question, is it possible to make WLM stop showing the number of unread emails in the trash or spam? They're in there because I have no intention of reading them. I don't care how many are unread.

I am running XP, outlook express IE7, SP2.

I am trying to set up multiple e-mail accounts, one for my husband on his computer and one for myself. The two computers are networked. It is a pop 3, SMTP and I have the two accounts set up but the account #1 mail is going to account #1 and #2. The same thing is happening to account #2.

Is what I am attempting to do even possible, or will I have to set up a g-mail or hot mail account for one of us and the other of us use OE?

I switched to Windows 7 recently and tried to set up multiple accounts when I ran into a problem.
I need to set up 200 user accounts on machine (dont ask me why lol) but once I reach close to 100 it locks me out. By lock me out I mean I cannot create any more new accounts, I cannot enter the UAC panel, I cannot manage any of the existing accounts including my own adminitrator account - in other words I cannot do anything under the 'user account' tab on the control panel. if I create one of the other accounts as an administrator it shows me the same results - actually it wont even go into the user accounts tab no matter how hard I click on it...
I tried this on both my machines - one running Family the other professional 64bit. Same result - one got to 96 accounts the otehr to 98 accounts.
Is there a limit to the number of user accounts you can run on Windows 7? I rememebr on Windows XP there was no limit (although the welcome screen slowed down to a crawl when i tried to set up more than 50 user accounts). Is there a way around this limitation if there is one? If there is a limitation is it with regards to these versions alone and perhaps the Business/Enterprise edition does not have this problem?
Any information would be appreciated.

Hey guys, first time poster here. I've been having a hair ripping issue for a few weeks and I was pointed to this site by a friend so hopefully you guys can help me out.

This all started a few weeks ago when my world of warcraft account was stolen. I called blizzard and my account was on temp lock for a couple days so I also checked a few of my other online accounts such as my ebay account and those as well had been compromised and my passwords changed. I got my passwords reset for those and ran some AV and spyware software and had avast running on my system at all times from then on. The scanners found a few things so thought everything was fine until a couple weeks ago when they were changed again.

I decided to reformat my internal drive and reinstall windows xp which I figured would fix the problem once and for all. Well, I tried to log into wow two days ago and my account password was changed again. I figured since I have a portable hard drive that I store all my data on and always have connected, the logger/virus/trojan was on there. I transferred all the data from the external to my internal, formatted my external, and disconnected it from my computer.

I have been running multiple anti-virus and spyware programs since yesterday and none of them have been able to find anything that would point to what is stealing my information. I've tried Norton av, avast av (which I had the protection on since after the first time I had the info stolen), spybot, rootkit re... Read more

I was wondering whether there's a way to move my database (on Google Gears) from one user account to another (on the same computer), and whether there's also a way I can do that from one computer to another (from my desktop to netbook, for instance)?

I'm having internet connection issues (plenty in fact):

My modem (LAN and Wi-Fi) probably died of old age (or over-heating) or it got struck by lightening;
I've been getting thunderstorms in my area (meaning I'll have to unplug a lot and lose plenty of online work time);
My USB dongle won't work on my Guest account and I can't seem to give it any admin rights on Vista.
So it's just terrible that I'm stuck with one computer (a Windows Vista desktop--meaning it constantly needs to be plugged-in) during these times. I'd like to be able to move them on my Windows 7 netbook or to accounts where the USB dongle works.

I know it sounds simple, but it's confusing the heck out of me, and I've checked a few simple "how-to's" that didn't work. Here's the problem: I have several gmail accounts I've created over the years......one I use daily, another once in awhile, another I wish to make my primary account, and some others. Here's what I need to do: 1) eliminate ALL but the 2 accounts I'm going to be using, and 2) easily switch between the two. I realize that #2 is a totally separate issue; let's just try to get the first one done for now.

What happens is, first I sign out of the regular account, but cannot get into any others. The one I previously created that I want to use as my primary, when I try to sign in, it says "no account exists." But when I try to create a new account using that name, it says "that one's already taken." If I try to retrieve a password, and go through that whole laborious process, it says "nothing here." The process just keeps going back and forth.....

So......how can I go in and get rid of all but the two accounts?

There is one minor issue with OE6 though, that I am sure is an easy fix, I just can't find it. We have multiple Identities setup. We can both send and receive from each account. The problem that we are having is that my account is receiving both her's and my emails. She receives some of her emails, but not all. Everything that I can see, appears to be correct. Before I put the old pc to the side, I compared the settings on the old and new, and it all appeared identical. I use multiple accounts in Outlook Express 6.
My problem is that, when I reply to an incoming message, always the same account (not even my default account) is selected as the sender of the reply.

I know that you can change the sender with a drop-down menu, but Ishouldn't OE automatically select the right sender depending on the account that receives the incoming message. So when replying to an incoming message addressed to e.g. account 'A', I'd expect sender 'A' to be automatically selected as the sender.

That doesn't happen: now I always have to check this and choose the right sender for each message. I've tried changing the default account, upgrading from OE5 to OE6, reinstalling IE, ...

My gmail account got hacked. Offenders changed my pw, alternate email address, and deleted my contacts. They sent email out to all the contacts saying that I was stranded in the UK without money and asking for contacts to respond to arrange to send $2000.00. A:gmail and facebook accounts hacked

Norton is mainly an antivirus product, maybe they include anti-spyware too now, not sure. There are many ways to steal access to your gmail. One of the ways is to install a keylogger on your pc, and steal username and passwords as you type them. But if you have accessed your gmail from another computer, like at university; public library, your friend's PC etc, then it may be that those computers are infected and not yours. Also, it may not be a technical attack. Simply being able to look over your shoulder as you enter the passwords will get you hacked just as easily. Then, there are whats called brute force attacks, where a program simply points to a login page, and tries each combination in sequence till it hits the right one. Gmail may not fall to brute force attacks, but if you use the same password on multiple sites, then there is a chance that they hacked that account first and tried to use the same password on gmail. Then there may have been phishing attempts made at your account and you mistakenly entered your password into a web site that only looks like Gmail. There should be more ways to steal your gmail, but I am not a hacker.

If you are running Trend Micro along with Norton, you might end up with them interferring with each other. You cannot run multiple real-time antivirus products together.

Can anyone tell me if I have to sign in to Gmail accounts regularly??

I have been having such problems with Bigfoot recently (no emails being received, at all!) that I have realised I'll probably have to use an alternative [free] service, in its place.

Hotmail is an option, but MSN state that the user has to sign in "at least once every 270 days"; which frankly I haven't got time to do! as I like to use a variety of different e.a.'s so will be setting up several different e.a.'s, no matter which email-address provider I opt for.

I use Thunderbird for e-mail. I have four e-mail accounts that I receive mail from daily. Three different providers (Netzero, gmail, hughesnet) I use only one out going account. Sometimes if I don't pay attention I send out mail from the wrong account i.e. [email protected], rather than BBBB @ gmail. Question: How can I set up Thunderbird to continue to automatically retrieve e-mail but NOT sent it out from an account I don't want to send from. How can I make it idiot proof?

A:Thunderbird Multiple Accounts

i have not tried this - as i like to use all the different accounts to send from

but if you goto
account settings
and then go down to the
SMTP list
you can remove the account for SMTP from there

BUT first make a note of all the SMTP accounts and settings for servers , ports and security etc - so you can at least add them back if required
or you could take a screen shot of each

and just leave the one you want as default - default does not work on my system - it defaults to reply from the account it was received from

Now i have not tried and not sure how thunderbird will react - and if the from will be blank - rather than use the default

you can make a backup of thunderbird using http://mozbackup.jasnapaka.com/ i use this a lot - usually to migrate uses to new PCs and from outlook etc
To post a screen shot of the active window.
1) hold the Alt key and press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application (Start> All Programs> Accessories> Paint) and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file.
2) if you are using Vista/Windows 7 you can use the "snipping tool" which is found in Start> All programs> Accessories> Snipping Tool

To upload the screen shot to the forum, open the full reply window ("Go Advanced" button) and use the Manage Attachments button to upload it here.

The reason is that OneDrive is also the location for all the sync data that stores your settings and so it will become very confused! I am not aware that you can have two different OneDrive folders set up on one account, you would need to have the two Microsoft accounts set up as two separate users on your PC and then each would have its own OneDrive folder.

Is it possible for hotmail to remember all my 3 hotmail addresses?
Because the messenger does that when I click on "Remember me", but I always need to retype my email addresses for checking emails.

I know that there is a auto-forward function in hotmail (like from old to new), but that is not what I need.

I remember in WLM 8.5 I never needed to login again to check emails, but WLM 9 does not work that way anymore.

Any ideas?

BTW, this is about remembering the email addresses, not passwords.

A:Multiple hotmail accounts

I stay logged in on one Hotmail account and forward other Hotmail account and ISP email account to that one account.

That doesn't answer your question though as I understand it. Next time you log in see if that option is mentioned.
Other options such as the one I mentioned can be found by clicking on options and then clicking on more options.
You should see the options below and more.

Manage your account

* View and edit your personal information
* Send and receive mail from other e-mail accounts
* Forward mail to another e-mail account
* Send automated vacation replies

Hello, sorry for posting two threads in a short space of time but I thought it best to create a different one as this question is not necessarily a problem and is not related to my other thread.

On my laptop I have two accounts....Admin (which is passworded and the one I use and has all the privilages etc) and Other Users (which does not have a password and has teen privilages). My question is this:
Is it possible to copy programs from one account to another without having to download them all again separately? I obviously want programs such as Norton, AVG, OpenOffice, PartyPoker, Real Player, iTunes, Mozilla etc on both accounts for when say my girlfriend is doing some work on the laptop and wants to listen to music/surf Mozilla with protection. Can this be done and does this take double the space up?

A:Multiple Accounts Programs

things like norton tend to automatically install the products for each account on the computer, sometimes they ask you to select it on install though, as for music, you will need to copy and paste them to the folder of the user account, in order for that user to have them, stay in your admin account and go in my computer > local disc > documents and settings > the user account and then select the music folder or wherever u wanna put em.
