I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, I bought a new Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB in Czech Republic and the delivered package contained the following AC power adapter:  model: ADLX65YLC3A, P/N: SA10M13945I want to buy another one, but it is no-where available ! Can somebody warrant me, that the only-available AC adapter with USB-C, the Lenovo ThinkPad 65W AC USB-C, S/N 4X20M26272, will work fine with my laptop please ? Btw, I am wondering why, when I tried to find the original AC adapt., all web sites returned me result that it is not dedicated for my country. I bought the computer with that AC here, so **bleep** Lenovo ? Thank you all

Hi, My AC adapter for my Lenovo Yoga 13 died a couple of days ago. I've been trying to find a replacement, but I'm unable to find one. Several shops claim to support it, but the information on their sites are generally incorrect. Does any one know a reliably source for a replacement for a Lenovo Yoga 13 AC adapter with the following specs:Model: PA-1650-37LCInput: 100-240V AC, 2.0A, 50-60HzOutput: 20V DC, 3.25A, 65W  You can see an image of the adapter here:Lenovo Yoga 13 AC adapterThe square tip has the dimensions:Outer dimesions: 11mm x 4.6mmInner dimensions: 6.6mm x 3.2mm You can see a photo of the tip that goes into the laptop here: I hope that someone is able to help me with a right answer as to which current adaptor that is compatible as it seems to be pretty hard to get the original.

Does anybody know where I can get a replacement power adapter for a Lenovo Yoga 2 11? According to the manual, it should be 45W. It appears that neither the original nor any approve substitutes that are listed on the Lenovo site are available for purchase from Lenovo.  I tried to buy one online but ended up giving my money to an overseas scammer. There seems to be a facsimile available in the States, but reviews say that it is a fire hazard and wrecks computers. I'd like to buy one that works and is safe. This is for my grandson's Lenovo Yoga 2, 11 inch. It was manufactured in 2016. He lost the power supply while it was under warranty only a few months after buying it but the family was moving so they thought it would turn up. It never did. He is in  high school (in Toronto) without a laptop, so I would like to help by finding a power cord. Lenovo lists these models: Adapter, BLACK 45W 3-PIN, Delta ADLX45NDC3A 20V2.25A adapter 36200245 * Adapter, BLACK 45W 3-PIN, Liteon ADLX45NLC3A 20V2.25A adapter 36200246 * Adapter, BLACK 45W 3-PIN, Chicony ADLX45NCC3A 20V2.25A adapter 36200247 Thank you,VancouverMo

Model number 59394167.  The cord frayed and died a few days ago.  When I try looking the part up on the Lenovo site, it doesn't list a price or have an option to buy.  I found something on Amazon that isn't quite right.  It charges it, but it makes the computer hot and I get a message about slowed down perforrmance.  The computer still works great and I don't want to have to replace it over a power cord.  Help!

My power adapter to my Y500 Idea pad is messed up. The wiring inside must have gotten damaged somehow and is now faulty. It only charges my laptops when angle in certain positions, or goes in and out. It's the 170W AC adapter one, but is there really a difference in using one of the small Wattage Adapters? The 170W one is just way out of price-range for me so I'm looking for one of the cheaper versions. I found one online that is "Y500 AC Adapter 90Watt 19V 4.74A". Would that work with my laptop?  I don't understand how different wattages affect my laptop (I'm assuming it affects charging time) so any help is appreciated. I generally keep my laptop plugged in with the battery removed, so I don't have to worry too much about charging the battery, if that's any help.Thank you!

Hi Everyone  I have a Yoga 500 141BD (model number: 80N400PNUK) which has a broken power button. It became recessed after being pushed in too vigorously (not by myself I may add) and although I managed to pop it back out, it has obviously lost connection and was wondering how I would go about replacing the button. Would this require work on the motherboard itself or require a new part? I would be greatful for any advice, Thank you Lesley.Note: I am aware that this model of laptop can be switched on using a paper clip, however I would like to resolve the issue instead of using an alternative method.

Hello everyone, I purchased Lenovo Yoga 900 Ideapad and I am currently using it in India. The power adapter seems to have gone bad and I wasn't able to charge the laptop with the given adapter.  Since the laptop is under warranty, I contacted the warranty help line only to know that I need to take the laptop to the service center. At a service center, no one really knew how the USB 3.0 charging port works and couldn't check whether the cable was short or the adapter had gone bad. Anyhow, they decided to replace it under warranty but again, they weren't sure when and if the replacement would arrive (as it depends on the inventory levels with Lenovo India).  An exclusive Lenovo shop then offered me an original Lenovo power adapter with USB 3.0 charging at USD 70 but only when it got delivered, I see that it is 40W and not 65W like the original one I had.  65W adapter - the USB 3.0 connecter (one which connects the laptop) is orange. The wall adapter doesn't heat up while laptop is charging.40W adapter - the USB 3.0 connecter is yellow. The wall adapter heats up quite a lot while the laptop is charging.  The Lenovo store representative has assured me that this is the right adapter but somehow I am not convinced.  Can the community throw some light on this:- Is it safe to use a 40W adapter for a 65W specification?- Is there any way I can get the adapter replaced by Lenovo US (I can ship the faulty adapter to US)?- I... I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad 110-15ISK, Model 80UD0017US, and would like to purchase a 2nd power adapter as a backup. I saw in the hardware manual that there are several part numbers listed, and the specific ones on my adapter are:45w AC Adapter Model Name: PA-1450-55LLLC P/N: 5A10H42923 In looking for the part online, I saw several on eBay and Amazon with the PA-1450-55LL reference, but at least one seller mentioned that the size of the connectors aren't always the same. In the hardware manual I did not see a reference as to the connector size (ie 4.0mm*1.7mm), which is the connector size reference I saw by one seller. Does anyone know the connector size on this power adapter for my model? Thanks,Kim

Help!  My Lenovo Yoga 3 14 is no longer accepting the charge from my power adapter. And, naturally, it could not have come at a more inconvenient time. When I unplug and plug it back in, it gives me the following message in the lower right-hand corner:"USB device not recognizedThe last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." When I click for details, it gives me this:"The last usb device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. Try reconnecting the device. If Windows still does not recognize it, your device may not be working properly." Except this isn't just any USB device - it's the ever-loving power adapter for this thing! I've tried everything and I'm at my wit's end. Then it would start to boot up (without the screen actually turning on) and turn off again. It would just cycle through this, so I held down the power button for 10 seconds, and now it does not turn on at all- no lights, no anything. Any suggestions?

Good morning, I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB 80X6 last november 2017 in the United Arab Emirates. Everything worked perfectly until July, when the laptop shut down and wouldn?t turn on anymore. I tried everything I could without opening the device and cancelling the warranty , but eventually sent it back in the store where I bought it, and they had to change the motherboard.  Now, not even two months later, same problem. That laptop doesn?t turn on anymore, and this time it also doesn?t charge (the LED on the side doesn?t light up).  I, once again tryed everything I could that i found on the forums without opening the device pressing the on button for various amounts of time, pressin the ''reset'' one with a pin... nothing seems to work. Problem is that I no longer live in the UAE. So now I have two questions : - does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be? - Can I still send my device for repair where I live now for free with Lenovo?s IWS?  Thank you to anyone who can help out, it?s very much appreciated. Sincerely,  A disappointed costumer

Hello everyone,  I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB. I've only have the unit for about three (3) weeks and the batter is no longer able to charge when connected to the power supply that came with the unit. I checked the AC adapter to make sure that it was properly connected to PC and it was. I plugged it to different outlets and it didn't help. I bought a replacement powersupply from my local MicroCenter and still nothing. I checked the Control Panel, open up the Power Options to see if there were any settings in there but nothing to show why it wasn't chraging. Then Opened the Device Manager. Under "Batteries" I saw two items, one for the battery and another listed as "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery". I Opened each item, which will brought up the Properties window. Under the "Driver" tab looked for "Update Driver." I went through the two options and did the same process of updating drivers. I went through the driver update process for all options. Once the drivers are all up to date, I rebooted the laptop and plug it in again. Then i unninstalled "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" completely and reboot. Still the problem persists.  I even updated all the windows Updates. Then I opened Lenovo's Companion app. I updated all the drivers that need updating and nothing changed. I still have my PC connected to AC power and the battery isn't charging. I opened the lenovo setting app and checked under battery section... Read more

A:Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB No longer charging

Is it not charging at all, or just stuck at around 60%.    I ask because there i an option in Energy Management to select Maximum Battery Life, or Optimized Battery Health, and if set the latter (which I believe is the default), it will only charge to about 60 percent of capacity in an attempt to prolong the life of the battery.    Setting it to Maximum battery life will allow the batter to charge to 100% and you will get a longer run time, but you may have to replace the battery sooner.     If you leave the laptop usually plugged in, then optimized batter health is the better option. Cheers,

Hi Just want to share my latest experience after reading many posts of Yoga 920-13IKB (i7-8550 / 8G / 512G / 4K screen) incompatibility with Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub. I had this new Yoga 920 laptop for about a week, replacing my previous Yoga 900 (13.3", QHD+, i7-6560U, 256G, 8G). I have been using the Dell USB-C to HDMI/VGA/Ethernet/USB 3.0 Adapter (DA200) with the Yoga 900 without any problems. However, I can say with certainty that the Yoga 920 is incompatible with the Dell DA200 adapter. After reading many posts, I finally decided to purchase the Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub (4X90M60789) as a replacement. I had a local store rang Lenovo to confirm that it would work with my Yoga 920 before making the purchase. It arrived yesterday, and with two days of using and testing the connections Lenovo USB-C Travel Hub (Ethernet/HDMI/VGA/USB3.0); I can say that it works as expected. I'm not sure why Lenovo does not update their website to include the model Yoga 920 to be listed on the "Hardware Compatibility" list, as this will simply for the enduser to check - http://support.lenovo.com/docs/usb_c_travel_hub

The adapter cannot keep a 2.4 GHZ connection and has trouble with wired and wireless at the same time and is missing all advanced settings allowing you to turn off 2.4, etc... I will return my laptop unless this is fixed. This is a fundemental issue with the chipset and design.1. The adapter has no advanced settings. It has been stripped of all the standard configurations.2. I have watched this driver from a monitoring computer standpoint and on 2.4 networks it loses connections all the time and sometimes will get into a connection loop when there is hard wire and wireless are on at the same time.3. When both adapters are enabled it does not work well at all.4. Signal strength / antenna performance is terrible. Side by side comparison with other devices shows bad performance. -50 vs -90 etc... a big swing in signal strength. There needs a new driver with ALL ADVANCED SETTINGS - for example prefer 5GHZ networks.no settings

I googled for solution and I did uninstall EMC and Lenovo Utility but that did not resolved the problem. Then I had tried to uninstall all drivers and than download and install them again but still the problem is there. Wherever Yoga connects WiFi dies. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to start a new post on this site so please forgive me for hijacking this thread.  I have a Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB Model Name 80VF that died about 4 months ago - battery quit charging.  It was three months past warranty...sigh.... I took it back to Best Buy and they told me my charging cable was fine and to get it fixed I'd have to send it off for 6 weeks and it would cost me a minimum of $500.00.  Since I was using this computer for my job (I'm self employed) this really wasn't an option so I went to the apple store and purchased a mackbook pro.  However, I would like to get this Lenovo fixed and use it as a backup.  My questions:1.  Should I replace the battery?2.  Lenovo seems to be out of stock of batteries:  Is there another source where I can buy on line?  I can't find anything.3.  Should I look at replacing the little circuit board that connects the power source to the battery?  I can't seem to find a P/N for it (I removed that back plate of the laptop). Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Support for this product from Lenovo has been underwhelming to say the least. Jeff BueNewark, Texas, USA

I've recently bought a Lenovo Yoga 720 13IKB, considering the battery as one of its biggest pros due to some reviews and adds I read in the Internet. Unfortunately, even after a 100% charge, I can't get no longer than 4h30 / 5 h of battery lifetime prediction / battery lifetime.  I have already decreased brightness, I almost have no apps running in background, but unfortunately it doesn't gets better. The situation is even worse considering that I'm not doing anything but surfing online, texting in word or taking a look at some pictures in Windows Gallery. Have anyone experienced the same problem? Can someone please help me? Is that true that we can get 10h30 (or a bit less, I wouldn't care) like it was advertised or that was just a commercial bait? Thanks in advance!

I had a nightmare with the wifi performance and I hope that this post will help other ppl avoiding the same fate. the wifi had significant delays while pinging the router and all the downloads were so slow and unreliable. the issue started after installing Lenovo vantage and activating the battery conservation mode. this can be resolved by either disabling "battery conservation" or change windows power plan, wireless adapter setting, to  "maximum performance" while using the AC or the Battery. unfortunately, I spent few hours to figure out this issue which is caused by a simple setting mistake by the vendor.

My Yoga S1 has contradictory, intermittent power issues that I'm trying to chase down. Culprits are bad power bric/cord/plug or power socket on mother board or power board that feeds into power button/led on. One day it blacked out and wouldn't restart to hard drive or windows stage. I did get an error code which I can't remember 5100 or 5500 poss?, that seemed to indicate the power board or ribbons to that needed replacement or re-attachment. So fiddled with it and it did fire up in windows all ok. Then ran out of power and died again. power button wouldn't light up. plugging in power unit did light up led as getting charge. Left it overnight and then it miraculously charged up. pushed power button light up twice then nothing. took out power board/detached ribbon, then it fired up to windows, fixed some hd errors and has been restarting without problems. Except now there is no plug showing on battery icon when plugged in. So not recharging but I'm sure the battery is good. And logically, the power brick and plug must be feeding electricity into laptop to get it to recharge enough to start up. So power socket and plug may be suspect with intermittent contact problems. Or the power board somehow is involved in this? I've ordered a new powerboard as easy screw in and cheap. My question about powerboard is does this control ability of plug to charge battery? power brick with new plug is next order from ebay. but the power socket, which see... It is a workhorse and the build quality is amazing. That's saying a lot coming from a previous Mac user... Anyway, I was looking around today while trying to get the fan issue resolved and I noticed that the Full Charge Capacity (FCC) of the battery is only 75410mwh, while the actual Designed Capacity is meant to be 78000mwh. It is about a 4% performance decrease basically right out of the box, is that normal? I only ask because I originally bought the FHD/i7/8gb/256ssd version, before exchanging it for the upgraded unit due to liking it so much, and noticed that the FCC on the original one was actually 80102mwh, quite a bit higher than the designed capacity. Not sure if there is a setting preventing the PC to charge to the full amount or what? Maybe I just got a battery with lower ratings? Any help would be MUCH apppreciated!

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement power adapter port (i.e. receptacle) for my Inspiron 5547?  I've searched online at several parts dealers but couldn't find one listed.  Thanks!

A:Replacement Power Adapter Port

That's not a part you'd be likely to find on its own from "regular" online stores, but you can try calling Dell Spare Parts. They specialize in selling stuff like that, assuming of course the receptacle is an independent piece and not built onto the motherboard.

The section of my adapter has frayed near the point where it plugs in and I have to practically baby it to keep it charging. This is a huge problem, especially considering that I'm planning to go off to college soon. There's so many counterfeits on the market, and I'm afraid that I may get one that'll just give me grief. In middle of the school year I may not even have enough to buy a new cord, so this is a big deal for me. Yes, I have looked it up and what came up were forums about how to avoid counterfeits, which served to confuse me. While they recommend that buyers should avoid "marketplace" retailers like Amazon, Sears and Ebay, they don't exactly say where exactly to go. There's a bunch of shady websites besides these retailers and I'm not really finding anything too solid at a more legitmate distribution channel...  Of course I'm willing to spend some money. It's just that the 40-70$ price tag I've been seeing for the cord on relatively trustworthy sites seems steep, especially considering that I got the laptop (power cord incl.) for 200$ a few years back. It hasn't given me any trouble, but it's hard to justify spending ~25% of its original value on a cord. I want to spend something from 20 to 30$.  Thanks for the help!

Howdy,I am using a Yoga 3 14 for school and the screen has broken. It is still funtional (I am in fact posting this from it). The only problem is the glass infront of the screen has broken, which i believe is only there for the touchscreen (I assume), so i was wandering if there was anyway to replace only the glass instead of the entire screen, as there are no marks on the display, and it functions 100% correctly. It is not a problem to the performance, although there is concern that leaving it could cause damage to the screen itself aswell.Thankyou,                  Nienoenf
