My new y700 17 inch gets black screen after 3 minutes with out plug the charger plz help me this is my second day i just recived my new laptop from amazon 2 days ago and the proplem is the screen gets black and the system freeze after the windows 10 starts with 3 minutes i dont know whybut if i plug the charger it comes normal ...................... but i want to use my laptop with out the charger any help i just guessing is it can be a windows 10 proplem so i can go back for win 8

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

Hi  We have purchased a Lenovo Yoga Laptop on 20.01.17. From 10th of April onwards , there is some issues with Laptop Power Button .We are not able to switch it on using power Button. We had a talk with call center executives, Senior Executives & service Head of Kolkata, but still there is no proper update. We are still in Dark .They are not able to provide any proper information about parts availability.Ticket Ref No. is 7007963157.As the Laptop is very high valued  & purchased on the month of Jan.We are in regular touch of Service Head since last week & he is still not able to provide proper info about the parts availability .NOw he says he is sending an engineer to inspect.THis is not at all acceptable.  Any suggestions Would be helpful.

A few weeks ago I saw the Lenovo K430 on NewEgg while shopping for a new Desktop. I was amazed by the K430?s features and great looks. However, after doing some research I became very baffled about the Power Turbo Switch and the many horror stories about upgrading the graphics card. I called Lenovo Technical Support to talk about possibilities and get advice about the graphics card, a woman answered the phone and informed me she had no idea or information about graphics card; but she recommended I speak to Sales. I was transferred to sales and they too informed me that they knew nothing about the computer or graphics card. I decided to call B&H Photo, the name sounds deceiving but they really are the best with support. The Technical Support told me if I really wanted a great computer I should think about building my own. So today, I embarked on the journey to build my own computer and I want to say thank you to Lenovo. If it wasn?t for Lenovo's extremely bad Tech Support and Sales I would not have built my own computer. Lenovo you are so terrible and clueless, you have inspired me, you have driven me by showing me your lack of knowledge and sense of awareness, the idea that a company has a sales and tech department that knows absolutely nothing about their own product. New Yoga 700-141SK: Ran the Lenovo Support Center Hardware Scan and the Video Card Mathematical Operations Test has failed rendering the Report: WVC007002-UL7BPL. Is there a tried and proven solution out there? I have had a look at the solutions on the forum and am not satisfied that the solutions offered prove that the problem has been resolved. It is reasonable to expect Lenovo to make available a solution as a matter of course instead of end-users of "afflicted" Lenovo devices having to request/search for a solution(s).

Good evening! I have a Lenovo Edge 2 that has been babied since purchased. Never abused, dropped, no scratches or dents, it's in fantastic condition still. I purchased the extended warranty, hoping I'd never need it.Last year, it stopped charging properly. The battery power dropped to 0%, and hasn't increased since. The machine will only power on when plugged in to AC power, and will immediately power down when the adapter is disconnected. The charging status indicator LED on the right side of the machine flashes orange in a non-steady, intermittent pattern, and the charging indicator in the taskbar in Windows 10 does the same thing. I returned the machine to Best Buy, they sent it to their "Geek Squad" facility for repairs, and the AC Adaptor and battery were replaced, under warranty. The machine was returned to me, and still doesn't charge.I contacted Lenovo, they advised I would need to return it to their facility for repairs. I put it in the provided box, and dropped it off to FedEx on 6/24/17. It's now been 2 weeks. I contacted Lenovo to inquire about the status of the repair, and was told "The technician found evidence of damage, and the upper case will need to be replaced as well, but damage isn't covered under warranty, so you'll need to cover the cost of the repair." I asked for the price, was told "A technician will email you with the price." So I purchased a new T470s in December. After a few months, started having intermitent wi-fi, keyboard, and WWAN issues. Created support ticket was relatively easy. Spent an hour on the phone and got the RMA. Thought to myself that was easy. Next day box showed up to ship laptop back. Told me I'd have it back in 7 days.  Seven days later I go online and see it's listed as "Waiting on Customer". No big deal I thought, I'll call and straighten it out. After spending a total of 6 hours over the next 7 days trying to get in touch with someone at the Depot (an impossible task so I quickly learned), finally spoke a person. He asked me some more questions, and released the laptop from hold. A few days later I see that it is now in parts hold. Ok, I'm still patient, after several more days, we are now a long way off from seven days I originally was told. I'm still optimistic and wait it out. Finally on May 2nd my laptop showed up. It said it had a new keyboard, main board, and wifi module. I was thankful it was fixed, or so I've thought. Jump to two days later, and my wi-fi and WWAN are still intermittent at best. Running continuous pings to google and my wifi AP I have one time out from every four pings, which is enough to throughly anger Google Chrome and dramitcally kills any download speeds. So now I am torn, do I invest another month, and 10 plus hours of phone time for another repair, or do I bite the bullet and buy a new HP and count the Lenovo as a lesson learn... Lenovo,I got a new X1 Carbon last year - 16GB RAM & i7. Worked great but occasional BSOD. Finally caught an error in a RAM test and the system automatically opened a ticket for repair (Nice!). A week later motherboard sent, nice repair guy comes and replaces it. RAM checks clean but the next day I realise the camera no longer works. Update the ticket. A week later, they send a new camera and the guy comes back to replace the camera. No change - no camera. Update the ticket - this time they send a new motherboard. Nice guy comes back a week later and replaces the motherboard. Camera works again. Yeay! But now it is crazy slow. Turns out the new motherboard is an i5 with 4GB of RAM. Running Windows 10 means this is pretty much unusable. Nice guy says he will order me a new motherboard with the right part number. 2 days later he calls me back. They sent another i5 w/ 4GB of RAM. He will update the ticket. 3 days later, different nice guy comes out with the new part. Checks it out before installing it - i5 w/ 4GB of RAM. I am now waiting for my 6th visit and I have had an unusable laptop for over a month. Seriously, all the people I have been dealing with have been great but why is it so hard to just send the right part? PLEASE - How do we make this all go away so i can get back to enjoying my laptop? Thank youDavid.

Hello, First of all - I am angry and I will not hide this. Polish Lenovo 3rd party support actually makes me sick of whole company, below, short story how Lenovo brand from "recommending to everyone" turned into "do not recommend at any circumstances".  I bought a Yoga 910, paid in poland 6700 PLN which after currency exchange to USD is almost $2000. Reason for this was mainly - I trusted that if I buy it, OOBE will be great for years. Turned, I was totaly wrong.  Few days after I bought this laptop, my screen started leaking pixels, on bottom right side, there were leaked pixels to the point that after long usage, especially under charger, whole right side of the screen had big color lines, right where taskbar icons were. I have send this laptop to RMA, after a week I got it back and here the extreme disappointment begins: - Screen rotation sensors were dead- Tablet mode was dead, keyboard was normally working when I tried to use it as a tablet- Hinge connecting screen and body is loose, half of the elements move, in short - in terrible state I have sent is again to RMA as service complaint stating all of above. What have support done: - Fixed sensors- Didn't fix the hinge, it is in even worse condition now- Laptop body was dirty, I had to clean up some weird red fluid from it- Camera is broken to the state that hardware managment shows it as a simple PC Camera with hardware ID of..... an chinese USB stick. I bought a Lenovo ThinkPad product on 22.05.2015 in Guangzhou, China. I relocated to Turkey with this product that has an IWS. I faced with some problems with this product such as shutting down itself, web-cam malfunction.That's why I sent it for the support services to located authorized reseller S.B.T. in Turkey.The product waited 30 days and after this duration I took it back but some parts were not plugged in and wasn't screwed properly.I also had some performance issue and touchscreen malfunction after the first support.Then I left it back to support services and it has been waiting 50days on support services.I'm tracking the status of the product. All the parts of this product - touchscreen, hdd, keyboard etc. -has been changed, even Mainboard twice.Neither Lenovo Turkey nor authorized reseller can support me effectively. I believe that this problem can't be solved anymore, and I want this product to be replaced with another new one or similiar one but Lenovo Turkey does not support me!

My Lenovo Yoga 900 has a cracked screen. I called Lenovo and the rep that I talked to told me they don't do repairs and told me to take it back to Best Buy or to another computer repair tech to have it repaired.   Best Buy said they couldn't replace the glass and neither could the tech that I took it to. This seems absurd.  Why would anyone pay over $1200 dollars for a laptop that can't be repaired if needed?  I'm at a loss, I don't know what to do and I want it fixed.  Does anyone have any suggestions? I just find it very hard to believe that Lenovo won't repair their own merchandise.

Who did you call?  If you have a nearby Lenovo Premier dealer near you, you might carry it in.  It certainly can be replaced.  (It might be expensive.) The manual indicates that the entire assembly (hinges, lid, etc.) are replaced as a unit, but I'm sure it can be taken apart, but I I have never done so I cannot describe it.  I have done similar models and they took less than 1/2 hour.  My guess is that it simply snaps together, but as I said, I haven't done it so I don't really know.

Hi, I have few issues with my Lenovo Yoga X1 and I want to contact support directly by opening support ticket describing my problems. Does Lenovo have support at all or we are left with these forums only?I have many issues like:- Integrated SIM data access card is very often not working and sometimes I need to wait for it for 20-30 minutes to "start up" until I can use my mobile internet- When I first bought my laptop I had an option for automatic keyboard backlight (laptop detects environment and sets it accordingly). That option is gone now and I cannot enable it anywhere.- Sometimes my fingerprint sensor data somehow gets reset and I have to do it all over again (set it up, etc.). As if BIOS is reset to factory settings on it's own- When I connect to my laptop using RDP  Wacom ISD Service starts killing my CPU and only way to get rid of it is to stop the service (which affects digitizer then)- Battery lasts around 5 hours at best even on power saving mode- Intel bluetooth driver cannot install. I tried more than once and it fails each time (using Lenovo companion).  I have all the latest drivers and BIOS firmware installed. Also all the Windows updates are installed.

What is Lenovo support made of, exactly? My company has bought a Thinkpad T430 from them at a good price, and there is warranty on the device for another 6 months or so. There is a software quality issue with the touchpad driver that really kills it for me, and I would like to first bring this to Lenovos attention and at least get some sort of acknowledgement from their representative to the fact that the issue exists, and also to get their response and help with it. I hit the Support link, and there is nothing there like a chat or support request links. I tried Contact Us, and at the following page, where one of the items for some strange reason is in Italian, and another is in Norwegian, even though I have explicitly configured English as language, and everything else is in English as well. ?Does Lenovo actually have any support? I mean as in real support, not automated knowledge base, where I could not find the issue mentioned above, after looking through a list of more than one hundred entries. How do I initiate some sort of support related conversation with some Lenovo people? Is it not completely appalling how you buy advertised laptop worth hundreds of dollars, that includes tens of distinct hardware components and also tens of software components (if not hundreds) and there is no *actual* support for the item?

HiI filled-in a support request 2016-09-29, I got an automated response and then a day later I got a reply requesting more information with the case marked "Solved".Well:1) The web form has two fields to describe the problem, but both are limited to 255 characters. Hardly enough write a couple of sentences, let alone describe a complex computer problem. But as I had already descried the problem here on the forum I included a link!2) The reply I got said "Can you please respond to this email with more details on the fault you are having?" and showed the case marked as "Solved"! I find this level of stupidity insulting.3) Anyway,  the email says I can reply within seven days to reopen the case, so I replied to say I didn't know more details other than those in the linked post and that I would like to know why the support fields are limited to 255 characters.  Since then, and despite two email follow-ups, I have had NO RESPONSE. So what am I meant to do? Is this typical of Lenovo Support? Cheers

Hi, I brought Lenovo Y50 last feb with accidentl protection plan for a year. Then I had a problem with my laptop and I contacted them and I am busy person they wasted more then 2 hours with remote login and still problem persisted, then they said they will send In-Home person and that In-Home person came after almost 2 months at point when I even forgot I called them. Then he changed parts more problem arised, contacted them again now during my busy day they contacted me and asked me to do remote login but I can't as I needed my laptop for use at that point then they marked It as a solved problem even though it wasn't. I thought of extending warranty as problem was not solved and I was expecting that there might be more problem but they don't provide my extended warranty as I had issues, though they did not solve it. Now my laptop is acting weird, I see different error, game crash, ram currupted, and when I tried to contact them on their business hours which they specifically says that they are available for call on sarturday from morning 10:00 to evening 5:00 EST I contacted them but it says they are not available currently. I tried chat support though the don't have techinal chat but guess what they have 24/7 chat support for SALES. I tried someway found that I can chat with them atleast give it a try. I was 17th in a queue, it told me ETA was aroung 20 mins so it means that they still have agents taking request. when I was 1st in queue ETA started acting different it ... Read more

I bought my wife a brand new Yoga 920 for Christmas in December 2017 for 1,299 dollars plus tax.  It was blazing fast. Set up was so smooth. The computer operated flawlessly. Best computer we have purchased in years. Only 4 months later, April 19th, when we tried to wake the computer up, it would not start. They keyboard backlights and power button would just flash. That was it. The screen stayed dark and nothing would happen. I called Lenovo support and they had me run through some basic troubleshooting and eventually told me the laptop had a hardware failure and I would have to send it back to them OR I could just bring it to a local Best Buy for repair. Since Best Buy was only 5 miles from my house, I brought it there. Only to be told by Best Buy that they don't repair them and they had to ship it to Lenovo anyway.  It took a month to get it back. So for a month we were without the computer. Then when we got it back, it was filthy. Scratched up, covered in greese and dirt. When I opened it up, there were hairs and food crumbs on the keyboard. The touch screen was covered in greesey finger prints that looked like they were just rubbed across the whole screen. It was disgusting. See pictures of the laptop below.  Furthermore, when we booted it up, it was slow. I mean SLOW. All our of documents were gone and the drive was wiped. Hello! I have bought lenovo x1 carbon (first generation).Suddenly I found out, that its keyboard does not support detection of even TWO keys pressed simulanteneously. For example, key combinations:  s+x, d+c, f+v, j+n cause "beep" sound. It seems really strange for me.. Usually keyboards support at least 3 keys pressed at the same time...Is it normal for x1 carbon, or the problem is with my notebook?  Thanks!

I have been dealing with Lenovo Tech Support for months now and it has been absolutley horrible the entire time. I have never had as poor of an experience with any company ever as I have with Lenovo. My laptop had a factory issue with it that led to it not turning on at all. I sent it in to be repaired in August and no progress has been made since then. I called over two weeks ago to inquire about getting a replacement laptop sent in lieu of waiting a ridicuolous amount of time. I was lucky enough to be assigned the wonderful Michael Summey as my case manager and a quick Google search reveals that my experience that I had with him was similar to that of many others. Michael failed to do ANYTHING whatsoever. I received an email asking what laptop I'd like to receive and where I'd like it to be sent. I replied and waited 3 business days as instructed. Nothing followed. There was no confimation, no laptop was sent. Michael failed to accomplish a single thing. So I called again 10 days after the original to see about finally sending a laptop, I was then promised "a new case manager will call you TOMORROW". As anyone who has dealt with Lenovo would expect, I received no call. I called today to try and remedy this and guess what? Nothing changed. Both myself and the customer service rep spent over an hour trying to contact Mr. Summey and we received no answer. I also left a voicemail and email and received no response. Last week i brought my 2.5 yrs old T440 to Lenovo Bugis suppt center to replace a cracked LCD back cover (one fine day i noticed a crack along the righthand side hinge and after opening, the cover was hard to close & open!). I had a queue tkt that said waiting tme approx 5 mins, but it took 20 mins for the front desk asst to call me. He rightly said the warranty had expired and they need to charge me $50 (+gst) to assess how much it would cost to fix it. When i asked what they want to assess as the laptop was working fine, he said in that case i should pay $30 - to source for the broken part and only after that they can tell how much would the total repair cost be! To me, it didn't make sense as they are the 'makers', but the guy started explaining the parts are made by 3rd party suppliers and and that's the process they hv to follow for 'older' models! Then another colleague of him came to explain, but he also couldn't tell me the rational for not able to tell me upfront the charge for replacing a 'highly visible' broken part! They are cheats in my opinion!! I have been a ThinkPad user for nearly 20 years and never experienced such poor quality machines and bad service!!! Hell with Lenovo.
