Dell Inspiron 3543 Windows 10 Drivers

Q: Dell Inspiron 3543 Windows 10 Drivers

Can someone point to me where the Windows 10 drivers for Inspiron 3543 is shown?
The support page shows drivers for BIOS, Not applicable and Windows 8.1 .

In the supported OS it shows from Windows 7 to 8.1.

And the information is again contradicting in the list of devices supported for Windows 10 Creator update :

When I tried to contact technical support, they told that the system is not compatible with Windows 10 ???

So where is the list of Windows 10 Creator Update drivers for Dell Inspiron 3543?
I had seen the list previously, but now the list is gone!

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Can somebody help me?

A:dell inspiron 3543 3.0 driver windows 10 problem

Hi Faniak,
Are any USB ports working, or are you only having problems with the USB 3.0 port? There is only one USB 3.0 port on the 3543 and that is next to the audio jack on the left side of the notebook.  is this the port that you are having trouble with?
Windows 10 has native support for USB 3.0 so you shouldn't need any drivers. If you have recently manually installed Windows 10 you may need to install the following drivers.
Chipset driver
Intel Serial I / O driver
Please let me know if you continue to have problems.

Hi everyone!
Less than a year ago I bought a brand new Dell Inspiron 3543 laptop with 2 years worldwide warranty. 2 weeks ago it suffered what appears to be HDD failure (ESPA error: 2000-0142 Short self test failure).

The machine is still on the warranty. Since then I filled out the forms on the website in order to contact technical support and they didn't answer in the promised 1 business day period. After one week I filled out a form and submitted my request again. And by now, after 2 weeks, they are still not contacting me. I have even received automated Support Contact Receipt after every time I filled out the forms, which means they have got the request. But won't answer...

What do I do in this situation? I am really, really upset about it, because I have been unable to use my laptop for 2 weeks. In case it matters, my service request number is 931960865.

A:DELL Inspiron 3543 HDD failure

It could be a number of things starting with -- have you registered the system in your name?  If not, call - don't email or use the web form - and open a support ticket.

Hello, I bought a dell inspiron 15 3000 series on 10/5/15 with the following specs:
1tb hard disk
8gb ram
i7 5500
NVidia geforce 840M

I bought the laptop online from Media Markt in Athens of Greece but I switched it on in Cyprus.
The laptop freezes 2-3 times per day for reason I cannot define. I took it in your representative in Limassol of Cyprus and found no problem. If a usb is plugged for much time, it crashes (not shutting down totally, instead the screen is black, fan is operating so i must hold the power button to shut down). i installed and updated all drivers from dell's site but the problem continues. The operating system is windows 8.1. Please reply.

A:RE: My Dell Inspiron 3543 keeps losing WiFi connection

Thank you for writing to us!
Since you have installed the drivers , was it from the Dell support site and the latest one available.
You can also try the following steps:
Enter Command to Fix No Wi-Fi in Windows 10
Important: Follow the steps below carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur.
You can use command to fix this no wireless issue after Windows 10 install if it?s triggered by VPN software.
Step 1. Right click the Start button and select ?Command Prompt (Admin)? from the menu. This can launch Command Prompt as Admin.
Step 2. Type the following command and hit the Enter key:
reg delete HKCR\CLSID\{988248f3-a1ad-49bf-9170-676cbbc36ba3} /va /f
Step 3. Enter the command below into the Command Prompt and press Enter key once more:
netcfg -v -u dni_dne
Step 4. Restart the computer and check back with your Wi-Fi settings. You now should see a revived list of all the available networks within range.
Note: If you have the Cisco VPN client, Sonic Global client or other VPN software running on your computer and you are planning to upgrade to Windows 10, uninstall the VPN before proceeding.
Kindly let us know if the issue is fixed.

Hello to all,
I want to report a problem with BIOS update for Win7 64-bit OS on my Dell Inspiron 3543 laptop. After BIOS update from A06 to A07 (or A08 the symptoms are the same) windows 7 freezes on the start (after welcome screen). I have found that there is a problem with service called  "Multimedia Class Scheduler". When it is disabled the OS starts normally (except services connected with "Multimedia Class Scheduler"), but when this service is enabled OS freezes and you cannot do anything.
It would be nice if this error can be fixed, because I also want to upgrade my laptop with latest BIOS fix. Is there anybody with the same problem, who manage to resolve it? Any help would be appreciated.

re: Inspiron 15 3000 Series, Windows 7 Professional English 64bit (includes Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit License and Media)

Had it for a few days, main issues:
1. really bad wireless connections (compare to my concern #2 this is still bearable)
2. when I am away from my laptop for maybe 20 mins or longer, it would freeze and no matter what you do, it would not respond. I had to shut it off by long pressing the power button. My laptop battery setting is screen never off on battery. (not power saver so it should not go to sleep, even it went to sleep..it should wake up at some point doesn't it!! =0=).
Called dell tech support, they asked me to run a test and found out hardware were all ok.

Do you think i should return this? If so, please recommend another model. I need it for basic daily usage, I need to purchase from dell website as I have a $250 e-gift card. so any price as close to $250 would be great.

Thank you !!!

A:issues with my recent purchase of Dell Inspiron 15 3000 - 3543

I am sorry to read that you are having these problems. Give this a try and see if it makes improves system performance.  Start the system tapping F12 and choose the option to enter the BIOS. Choose the advanced tab and then select Intel Speedstep and choose to disable it. Choose the Exit tab and choose to save changes and exit and allow the system to boot up.
This isn't a fix, Speed Step is a feature that helps prolong battery life by stepping down the processor.  If the performance of the system improves we know at least what is causing the problem.  Please let me know what you find out.

I am constantly having this problem with my laptop. As I plug in and unplug my headphones throughout the day, I've noticed that after a couple times the bass gets really quiet and almost completely drops out. Since I have some pretty decent audiophile headphones with really great bass, it is super annoying and noticeable.
One workaround I have discovered is to go to the audio settings (either in Windows or the Dell Audio app), and switch the Default Format (the thing with 24-bit, 48000Hz in it)  to something else, play some audio, then switch it back.
A little word on my setup: I have the latest drivers from the Dell download page installed. I am running Windows 10 64-bit with all the updates. I have Waves Maxx audio "enhancements" disabled. My Default Format is usually set to 24-bit 48000Hz, but the problem eventually happens no matter what I set it to. The "headphone size" option is set to "Medium", but as far as I can tell this option does nothing if I do not have Waves Maxx enabled. Switching it also does not fix the problem.
If I play audio using WASAPI (this basically means that the music player takes over the sound card completely, and bypasses whatever audio processing Windows and the driver has) the problem does not happen.
How do I fix this problem? It's incredibly annoying, and most likely has something to do with the audio driver, since this does not happen in Linux, and it did not happen when I was runn... Read more

With this post I would like to clarify if there is a solution for the USB 3.0 drivers on Windows 10 for my laptop? During the last two years had upgraded my laptop from windows 7, then to windows 8 and 8.1 and at latest to Windows 10. After the first upgrade to windows 10, USB 3.0 ports were working (with some faults, but at least sometimes working). Always were using the USB 3.0 driver from the dell support page for windows 7. Since the newest version of windows 10 is now installed, the driver became not compatible with windows 10. I know, that the technologies are moving always forward, but it is sad that the 4 years laptop may loose such simple funcions, when it is still may cover my needs.

I'm having a lot of trouble using my laptop since win 10 upgrade.
1.The drivers are really very old(seems like win 8.1 drivers have been used) especially the BIOS driver which dates back to 2014.
2.The boot time has increased alot from 15 seconds to approx 70+ seconds. Also the Dell logo shows twice(once the regular one and one more in which the rotating dots are very slow).
I've contacted Microsoft support for the same. After diagnosis they said it was a driver issue.  Also I've contacted the DELL support as well but I got the answer as "Sorry sir, your warranty period is over and hence we cannot resolve this issue."
I would appreciate the driver updates from DELL software community. And also to keep providing updates for the laptops series which have closed.(This is a common problem with DELL , stopping software updates for old laptop series).Any help regarding the above issue are welcome . Thank you in advance.

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 531 at a garage sale. It came with a version of Vista that was cluttered up, full of viruses and in general full of problems. I don't like Vista anyway (I generally run Kubuntu or Mint for most of my computing), and I have a generic MS Windows XP sp2 install pack laying around. After installing XP, I loaded my linux OS's as usual, with no problems. The problem is with the XP install. It appears that Dell, in it's wisdom, made the Inspiron 531 specifically for Vista and the standard drivers available on Dell's site don't function well with XP (can't connect with the Web, graphics "roll-over" with the bottom showing at the top of the screen, and generally don't work well with the onboard graphics card 'Nvidia GeForce 6150'). Does anyone know a scource for drivers that will 'work-around' this issue? I know that the order the drivers are installed is important, so I wiped the drive and made a fresh install of Windows with no changes. The system setup is: Dell Inspiron 531 with AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ running at 2.0 Ghz with 4Gbs memory. I am set up for triple boot on two HDDs running Kubuntu 12.10 and Linux Mint Maya on one 260gb Hd and Windows XP Home edition Sp2 on a 40Gb Hd. I've searched this site and seen mention of a couple of users with XP running on this model, but no mention of the preferred drivers. Dell has been no help, as this is a discontinued model. I've browsed several forums with this issue, and cannot get a fix.

I upgraded a Dell Inspiron 1545 from Vista 64 to 7 64. Everything went off without a hitch (boy was I surprised).
Now that I have it all up and running, I cannot get my webcam working.

I have attempted to install the drivers off the Dell CD that came with the laptop. These are Vista 64 drivers, and they don't work. I have downloaded the drivers from the dell website - they are the same drivers as the CD.

Someone told me I could 'run the webcam in compatibility mode', but if the computer isn't even recognizing the webcam, how would that work?

Device Manager says the webcam is working properly.

I'm at my wits end with this. I really don't want to have to downgrade to Vista, but it's pretty important that this camera work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A:inspiron 15-3543 lcd screen

Technically yes - there is a matte non-touch screen available.  Practically speaking, the cost may give you pause - you will need to replace essentially the entire top half of the system, meaning the purchase of quite a few parts.  Beyond the cost, if the system is under warranty, you will lose the warranty in the process.  So while it's technically possible, it's not going to be appealing from an economic standpoint.

All the drivers that have been provided by the site installed perfectly, except for the 1705 wireless and bluetooth driver :/ Please help !!It says that the driver isnt for my platform .. wth :@I even tried checking my drivers via Intel and it says that it doesnt recognize my wireless card.

A:Dell Inspiron 3537 , can't install 1705 wireless and bluetooth drivers on Windows 8.1 pro

Dell Wireless 1705 is not an Atheros Card therefore the Intel download centre will say its an unrecognised device. Follow the instructions here and provide the hardware IDs for your wireless card as sometimes the Dell Service Tag gives the wrong drivers:
Does it match:
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036 PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_020C1028&REV_01 PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_020C1028 PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&CC_028000 PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0036&CC_0280
If so try this driver

A:Inspiron 15-3543 Memory Issue

Hi alexmack,
Thank you for writing to the Dell Community Forum.
The memory module type compatible with the Dell Inspiron 15 3543 is 1600 MHz DDR3L. This system has only one memory slot and you can use 2 GB / 4GB and 8 GB modules. Two beeps indicate that the memory module is not detected or the slot on the motherboard is faulty. Request you to please re-seat the memory modules and ensure it is seated in firmly. If the issue persist with two beep codes, check this memory module on a good known system. The white light indicates that the ac adapter is connected and the battery is being charged, amber indicates that the battery charge is low.
Kindly get back if there are any further queries.

This new Inspiron 3543 had the hard drive replaced right off the bat. (About six weeks ago) Reinstalled Windows 10 and Windows 10 drivers from the Dell support website as listed for this laptop. This worked great for about one month, but after a difficult Windows Update session I started to see problems. I'll be online and the WiFi connection will be lost. When I attempt to reconnect to the WiFi network Windows freezes. Waiting does not help. I have to do a hard shutdown and restart the computer. Everything comes up fine, but it will do the same thing after a few hours online again. This has been going on for two weeks now.

A:Inspiron 3543 WiFi Lockup

I have the same issue. I have two laptops one with touch screen one without. The one with the touch screen freezes after few minutes when connected to WiFi. Came with win 8, upgraded to 10 has the same issue. Upgrade BIOS to A7 and still freezes.  I swapped hard drive, memory, wifi module, run without battery .... nothing helped. I tried the max performance setting and still does not help. In my mind it cannot be a driver issues since the same driver works fine in the other laptop. It seem to me that the might be interference from the WiFi card. I will try minimum power and report back

I have three USB ports on my Inspiron 15-3543, two on the left side and one on the right side. From what I can see in the service manual for this model that port is part of the I/O Board orr at least that is what it looks like to me. My question is how can I make the repair for this piece of hard ware. I can not find a I/O Board any where for sale. Is it possible to just replace the USB port or do I need to replace the bard. Next question where can I get the replacement part(s) to make this repair? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The board needs to be replaced.  If you can't find it anywhere else, call Dell Spare Parts:
If you're in the US, 1-800-357-3355
If outside the US, call your local Dell office and ask for "Spare Parts"

I've recently started receiving 'Battery not present' message on my Inspiron 3543. The device works completely fine at times without any issue but then suddenly would start displaying this message. What strikes me is that even as it displays this message, the laptop continues to be in a working condition, except the blinking X mark on the battery bar and the blinking LED at front. Shouldn't the laptop shut down all by itself if it fails to detect a battery? While displaying this message, the laptop also fails to take any charge from the adapter but as soon as this message is gone, the charging process begins without me having to do anything. Is there a solution to this problem?

If the system is in warranty, call Dell for warranty repair.
If it's out of warranty:
Unplug the system, remove or disconnect the battery and hold the power button for 30 sec.
Is the AC adapter recognized?  F2 at powerup to check. If it's not,  try a new OEM Dell adapter.  If that doesn't get the adapter recognized, replace the DC power jack in the system.  That should get the adapter recognized.  If not, replace the mainboard.
If the AC adapter IS recognized, next step:  replace the battery with a new one.

So, after the Anniversary update I have no internet.  Both Wifi and Eithernet show as "Connected - No Internet".  Windows Troubleshooter says I have "A problem with the driver".  I've updated the drivers, I've put old drivers back in and no luck.  I've even tried 3 different USB wifi adapters, with both the supplied drivers and the built in Win10 drivers, and no luck there either.
I can't go back to an earlier build, the option is not there.  I tried a restore point and the computer f ailed to boot and I had to restore some system files from another Win10 computer using a Linux boot disk.
I'm assuming I can't refresh Windows as I'll still be on the Anniversary Update.
Is there any chance Dell will release updated drivers?  I see that this PC is NOT in their compatibility list.
Is there any known solution to this other than a full recovery from the recovery partition?

Hi, Does anyone know why it would take 15 minutes to open an Internet browser, and then another ten minutes of getting the "Page Unresponsive" message before my Internet will work on my laptop? It's only a year old. There's nothing wrong with my Internet connection- it works fine on my phone, very fast. This happens on wifi and when my laptop is plugged in, and it's only been happening for the last month. It happens on Chrome and IE.
After waiting the 20 minutes or so, then the Internet will work perfectly fine, but I'm not keen on waiting 20 minutes for my browser to open :(
Can anyone suggest anything?
Thank you.

A:Inspiron 3543- Internet Browser taking forever to open!

It'd be a good idea to install a copy of a malware scanner (malwarebytes.com -- the free version is just fine) -- and do a deep scan of the system.
