I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Http 500 Internal error

This problem occurs because there is an error processing the ASP script ,and "Friendly HTTP error messages" (error 404 messages) are enabled in Internet Explorer which do not allow you to see the details of the problem.
To find out the real cause of the error:
Open Internet Explorer, Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab.
Uncheck Friendly HTTP error messages

Refresh the page and you should get the real error message and line number of the error.

All this means is that while you the script was running on the server there was an error. It is probably not something you caused.

I think my pc has some real major problems and im ready to throw it out the window.

Recently it has just stopped allowing me to google search. If I know the web page I can go directly to the address bar and type it in but if I tried to search that same address in google or any other search engine I get the above error. I honestly think this pc has been infected by something. I have completely uninstalled msn, mind you the kids are not happy by that move but I just have no idea what is wrong with our computer anymore.

I have tried using these programs to fix the issues and I use AVG anti virus protection:

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Dr.Web CureIt!?
Combo Fix by bleedingcomputer.com

If you have any advice for me other than chucking it out the window, please let me know!!!

Thanx in advance

I've been an active member on a design forum for the past year with the same username and password. This is what's happening now --

I go to the website, type in my username and password then click the Submit button. The page starts loading and then I get this: HTTP 500 Internal Server Error. I kept refreshing but still got the page error. The owner, administrators and developers had no clue why that popped up all of a sudden, so they checked my browser settings, upgraded Firefox, deleted cookies, cache and history.

I then went back to the site to try and log in again and noticed I was online. I tried to navigate through the site and access my account but couldn't. It was like I was there but wasn't. The Sign In button was still showing as if I wasn't online and hadn't log in at-all.

I thought maybe it was my computer doing something on its own so I created a new account and password. The new username and password logged me on successfully.

My question is... why am I not able to log in on my original ID and password but can login using the new one. Some really weird stuff going on.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I can log into my secure site then when trying to go beyond that, it seems to take along time ("timeout"?) to get to the next secure page. When it finally does I click to access my personal files and instantly I get the error message. I have tried to figure out when this started but it has been a while since trying to access this site. I have read that update 831167 for ie6 corrects this. I have ie7 and cannot put that update in as I get warnings that I don't have ie6 sp1 installed. Also, I have reset the settings in security and enabled all cookies.
Also, I have tried the microsoft "fix it" for the registry and needed to use my XP CD. Still not working. This is bugging me as I was able to use this site 6 months ago.
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Scratching me head a little here.

Once the installer completes, I click launch, bypass the "This site is not secure" message, and then I get the HTTP500.  Browser is IE
ATA service is running, MongoDB is too.
Tried uninstalling and re-installing then using the self signed cert = same results.
I have done a massive amount of googling, but not come across any help.
Was wondering if anyone can help?

A user is trying to access an internal Sharepoint site in our business domain.

When using the regular address, we get the HTTP error 500. If we type the fully qualified domain name, we get error 403; The Website Declined to Show This Page.

We can access the site through firefox, but Sharepoint does not work optimally through that browser.

We logged into the same computer as a different user on the domain, and could access sharepoint just fine. We also tried logging into sharepoint using the first user's credentials, but logged into the domain as the other user, and could access it.

We have done the hard reset of IE7, as well as deleted all the certificates, etc.

Anyone have any idea's?

Hi. I have had this problem for many months now and have tried to remove the infection manually using instructions found on ehow, using Norton Antivirus, malwarebytes and spybot search and destroy. Nothing has been successful at removing it. I have just been using my laptop instead of my desktop because I don't want to use an infected computer. The computer is running Windows XP Professional SP3. I receive notifications from Norton that an intrusion attempt has been blocked. When I go into the log, I found that there were three high risk log entries, one for HTTP Tide Serv Request2, one for HTTP CrimePack Activity 1, and one for HTTP Nukesploit Request. As I mentioned this has been going on for months now. At the beginning it was mostly just HTTP Tide Serv Request2, the other two are new today. I'm hoping you can help me, otherwise I'm going to have to reinstall Windows, which I'd like to avoid doing. I hope I have included enough background. My scans are below and attached. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Mike

When using Mozilla Firefox recently I encountered the problem of getting the following response from two separate secure https login servers:
1) Gibson Research Corporation, Internet Security testing (for Shields Up!) at:
https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2, and
2) my ISP WebMail server at:
https://webmail.atl.earthlink.net

Error Code 500.
Message: Internal Server Error.

I soon discovered that when installing the software supplied by my ISP, they caution the following when using a non-IE browser during the installation process, and instruct you to setup the connection settings for localhost:8080 with regard to their dial-up accelerator, otherwise the accelerator may not work properly.

This conflicts directly with the solution to the above Error Code 500 problem:

The solution is as follows with Mozilla Firefox:
Pull down: Tools->Options->General->Connection->Connection Settings
Choose: Direct connection to the Internet

I recently re-installed windows and am now trying to install the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010). All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error:
I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work. It's probably worth mentioning that the first time I tried installing, about a week ago, my computer totally froze in the middle of the install and I had to force restart.

Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

A:DirectX install error - An internal system error occurred.

Welcome to Seven Forums callumshell1. The 1st thing I would suggest would be to run the System Files Checker.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

See if it finds and corrects any errors. Also, see if you locate the 2 dx logs mentioned, in the windows directory, and post them here, or just the text if they are short, which they may well be.

After boot the system first shows error window;
hpqtra08.exe - Application Error
Application has failed to initialize(0xc0000135) click on OK to terminate the application.
Then WindowsInstaller flashed then InstantSharedevices pops-up over and over probably 50times with error 2908 and later error 1935 and in between WindowsInstaller flashed.
I thought .NET Framework is the cause so I uninstalled that but no help.

I will attach the DDS files for your review.
Thanks in advance.

A:The following fatal error alert was generated: 10. The internal error

Hello AIRobot & Welcome to SevenForums!

Does these freezes appear when doing something specific on your machine?
Have you updated your drivers lately?

Try going to cmd (press start-orb and search 'cmd') and type this message and notice any outdated drivers:

A:Error is primary internal battery 601 error

Hi, It's good to see a battery can live that long. Yes, it is the main battery and it's time to buy a new one. Please pull the battery out, check part number and order from HP. I don't think they stock it, they may have a replacement part. You can also use part number to order online from many stores such as Amazon, eBay ... Regards.

Hello all,

I have a problem with Windows Update agent on Windows 7 SP1 enterprise.
We are using Configuration Manager 1606 and Windows 7 SP1 and about 140 computers works without any problem.
On the other 10 computers I got the following error message in the windowsupdate.log:
WARNING: SyncUpdates failure, error = 0x8024400D, soap client error = 7, soap error code = 300, HTTP status code = 200
WARNING: SOAP Fault: 0x00012c
WARNING:     faultstring:Fault occurred
WARNING:     ErrorCode:InvalidParameters(7)

I've tried several actions although none does any help. Here is the list of actions:
- upgrade windows update agent to the latest version
- windows update agent reset by this instructions https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/971058/how-do-i-reset-windows-update-components
- empty Temporary Internet files
- check the rules and blocked traffic on windows firewall and physical firewall between server and workstation vlan
- sfc /scannow

It looks like significant Windows 7 error, although reinstalling is not my option.

Thanks for any help!

It's possible you have a virus, if you haven't ran a scan lately I would download the latest definitions and run one. If you don't have antivirus software go to http://www.antivirus.cai.com and download one and run it.

Are you getting that error with any download that you attempt from any site, or is there just one in particular?

Do you have an alternate browser you can test with?

when trying to access one Internet site requiring name/password through MS Internet Explorer, the error message "... error 401.2 ...." appears even before prompting name/password.

the same site works fine when accesses from the same computer through FireFox.

I checked IE settings (Properties/Security Settings/User Authentication/Automatic only in Intranet), cleared cache, nothing helped yet...

any idea please?

Internet options- security - custom level - user authentication -

You probably have it set for anonymous logon, try setting it for "prompt for user name and password"

Good morning people,
One of my users/developersis having a problem, when he connects to one of our servers, located at one of our customer's sites, through one of our web-based applications, he can navigate through up to a point. At that point, in the menu where some info needs to pop up in order to proceed, he receives the error 407, "Proxy authentication required".
But the thing is, we don't use a proxy server, and neither does the company where the server is located.
Plus, from any other machine, we can get through there just fine.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? We've updated his IE, and we've dropped his security settings to nil, but none of that made any difference.
Anyone? Anyone?
Thanks.

A:HTTP Error 407!

hey it's me...just to let you know, apparently the user had downloaded some .dll for proxy testing which was muckin' the whole shebang straight to kablooee, if you know what I'm sayin...

HTTP 401.2 - Unauthorized: Logon failed due to server configuration
Internet Information Services.

I came home last night to find that I had a virus (BloodHound.Exploit.10) in Quarantine with my Symantec A/V program. I noticed it was in my Temp. Internet files and quickly erased all Temp. Internet files. I rebooted to only find that part of my Firewall (Freedom Security and Privacy Suite) was corrupted. I can use some websites but MSN, Yahoo, and Google all prompt me to use user name and password. I believe I'm using coorect user name and password but it will still prompt me with the 401.2 message. Any ideas would be helpful. I also ran Ad-Aware 5 and it found 3 suspicious files. I haven't done anything with those yet.

Thanks very much.

ok, whew, WELCOME TO TSF DIABLO!!!

First, please use proper english (sorry, i can barely understand the slang).

it could be a DNS thing, I know that in the HOST.TXT file (c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc) you can block sites via their IP address. You see, a site's name (www.something.com) is just an easy way for us as humans to see it, but the computer sees binary, which is all an IP address is made up of. So what it does is connects the two. However, if the ip address and the name don't match, it won't bring it up, old school website blocking. so check that file (open with notepad) and see if your site is in there with the ip address 127.0.0.1 next to it. if not, then it could be something else, i really don'tknow.

Hello, firstly I hope this is in the right spot and that it doesn't get removed. I recently changed my ISP to Telstra Bigpond and have had some trouble with certain sites that I have tried to open.

An example of this would be www.buzzjack.com which for all of you will open to be a main page for a Music and Entertainment forum. But for me I am automatically redirected to this page http://www.buzzjack.com/Templates/Default/login.aspx which the buzzjack Admin assure me has nothing to do with their site. When I try to enter the main forum section of the site www.buzzjack.com/forums I get an error message:

The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
