I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hello. I have a problem with my ssd randomly disappearing. Happens every two days, windows just freezes. The mouse isnīt freezed, but everything else is. Then i have to restart my computer with my restart button. When i try booting into windows after this, it just stops at a black screen with a blinking thingy in the top left corner (I know why this happens, itīs cause my RAID 0 automatically gets chosen as first boot priority). But when i go into bios to change the ssd back to first priority, itīs gone from the list. I have to turn my computer on and off to get it on the list again.
Why is that happening? If anybody knows the solution, please tell me.
Thanks in advance : )

I recently got the Google Redirect virus again, and even posted a set of logs in anticipation that I would need another walkthrough to remove it. I tried to run Malware Bytes to no avail.

Then, several minutes ago, I ran it again for bleeps and giggles, and suddenly the virus seems to have went away. This never happened before, so I am a bit concerned if it is really gone or just is in hiding or something. Anybody know what it could be? Has Malware Bytes actually been able to remove the Redirect Virus before?

EDIT - Nope, now it just migrated to 5788. Now my searches are all 404ing.

Hello, after you DDS log is reviewed they will tell you what may be on the machine. It does appear a deeper look is needed. Now that your log is properly posted, you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a Malware Removal Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer. From this point on the Malware Removal Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean. Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the Malware Removal Team members are very busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the Malware Removal Team. Hi, yesterday I was working on an algebra project for school on Microsoft Word (it's 2007 I believe), where I typed in a list of a bunch of equations. The list ended up being about 4 pages in equations. When I finished, I clicked the save shortcut on the upper left, named it Circles.docx, and saved.

Normally, Word documents would change the title of the document at the very top from document1.docx to (name of file).docx or something similar to that. But this time for me, it changed the name to CIRCLES.docx for about 3 seconds, then it changed back to document1.docx and the Save window popped up again. I saw there that CIRCLES.docx was already there, so I assumed that I had my file saved. So I cancelled, exited out of Word, and went to my email to email it to myself.

But when trying to attach the file, I found out that my document was nowhere in the My Documents folder, where I had saved it. I spent the next 2 hours trying to find it, and only came up with a few shortcuts to it in the Recent Documents folder, only to have it say that Windows couldn't find the file (and it had the little animation where the flashlight moves back and forth). Even tried going back to Word and opening it from the Recent Documents place, and it just said "This file cannot be found. (C:\...\My Documents\CIRCLES.docx)". Can someone tell me how I can find my file, or at least tell me how this happened?

i'm not exactly sure what is causing this but almost every time my laptop is shut down, the wifi disappears. the way i fix it is by running the troubleshooter for hardware and it says to restart so it can redownload the drivers but it's annoying considering i have to do this every single time it shuts off. plus, sometimes it gets so bad i have to restore my laptop to a different point in time because the troubleshooting doesn't work sometimes.i don't know if it's a virus or something else on my laptop that's doing this but i would really like for it to be fixed since it's extremely annoying and repetitive to be dealing with.

I have a somewhat advanced rig which caused me 0 problems until today. See spec at the bottom of this message.

The Problem - As a secondary drive, I have two WD Raptors 600 HLFS connected to the Marvell ports on my Mobo (Asus III Extreme). Suddenly today, windows takes ages to load (Windows is installed and running from a different Raid 5 drives), and when it does, the Raid 0 drives are shown as "Local Drive" and can't be accessed. Any other software trying to access files on those drives return a "File cannot be found". Windows is basically stuck then (right after starting up), and I can't click on anything (mouse works, but can't click anything).

I've tried booting into safe mode, same exact result - the Raid 0 drives (d:/) are named "Local Drive" (not their correct name), and cannot be accessed. The system slows down to a crawl and no windows can be opened.

I thought about upgrading the Marvell Raid software, but because of this problem I can't install anything in Windows, not even in safe mode.

Usually I would have replaced the mobo and give the computer a complete overhaul after a critical problem that just pops out of nowhere, but I have very important files on these drives which I must get.

I have been using XP for many years, now I'm building a pc for the son of a friend of mine, with Windows 7 x64.

I decided to go for a Corsair P64 SSD for (C:), and a 1 TB WD Caviar Black for (E:).
I connected first the SSD and installed Windows 7,
then after I had installed drivers through auto-update and a few other programs,
I connected the WD E: drive also, and moved the
C:\Users\username\Downloads\ folder into

The issue is that once in a while, I suddenly notices that the E: drive has disappeared.
The first time I noticed it was after I had uninstalled Java JRE6 u19 and tried to download u20.
Then I noticed that the file was instead downloaded to the desktop.

I clicked the
Favorites > Downloads (which is mapped to E:\Downloads)
to check why it wasn't downloaded there, and then I got the error

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.
Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the
Default Programs control Panel."

I checked the both Device Manager and Disk Management
- no 1TB WD disk, no (E:) volume

So I clicked Start -> Shut Down -> Restart,
and when into BIOS, and the E: drive was visible there.
Then I exited BIOS and loaded into Windows 7 again,
and the E: drive was back again.

This has happened 3 times after this, over the last 4 days.
If I just restart Windows, it comes back, with no signs of it ever being gone.

A:AHCI SATA disk E: suddenly DISAPPEARS (auto-ejects..?!)

Hello and welcome to SevenForums. I will throw a few ideas in, however, I'm pretty sure a better guru will come to your help in more details.

The first thing you said that I really don't like, is, that you installed the drivers that were in Windows Update. I wouldn't do that. I would download all needed drivers from the manufacturer's website. I'm pretty sure what drivers you know what drivers you need (especially re-install the chipset driver).

If I missed something, tell me, your post was hard to follow.

Second thing, I would try another mode instead of AHCI in the BIOS just to see if the problem occurs or not.

Third, for your "Sleep" problem, that feature is really buggy. In Power Management options in the Control Panel, I would simply modify the current settings and put Sleep to "Never".

Hello! Long story short, my external hard drive suddenly became unallocated. I've seen some youtube guides, posts on other forums, posts on sevenforums, but I can't figure it out -- the solutions for some of these forum posts don't work for me. And so I decided to make a new thread in the hope of solving it -- i've included details as specific as I can possibly remember.

I have a MSI laptop, windows 8.1 64 bit. Just today, while i was working my computer suddenly froze, and after a couple of minutes shut down. I couldn't boot up the computer as it kept going black screen, or the MSI logo booting screen (sometimes saying "Preparing automatic repair"). Then the computer went to install some sort of updates, and then crashed again. Eventually after numerous restarts/forced shutdowns the computer booted up fine -- except the external hard drive (built in the laptop) was missing. I discovered that the computer probably froze because a video recording software of mine was recording in the background and using up a enormous amount of disc space (40 gb video). After deleting the huge video file, the computer started working normally, but the external hard drive is still missing.

I've tried:
In administrative tools --> computer management --> disk management, it asks me to initialize the drive. I've read that this deletes the data, but I don't think the data on the drive is that important, although recovering it would definitely be better. However, ... Read more

A:Laptop's built in external hard drive suddenly disappears/unallocated.

Welcome to Seven Forums.

1. I should first of all admit I do not understand what you mean by "an external Hard drive, built-into the laptop". An external HDD is one which is totally external to the PC and which we plug into the PC through the USB port.

Do you mean a second HDD inside your laptop apart from the system drive?

Please mention the exact model Number of your laptop.( So that I can check whether your laptop has two internal drives. I Know some do have.)

2. With such loose power connection inside your laptop, you are not going to get anywhere resolving the problems in the HDD. Since you say it is a new laptop, it should be under warranty and you should immediately get the problem rectified by MSI.

So please get it done first.

Hi, I've had a long time struggle with my wi-fi connectivity, and after much frustration with other solutions not working, decided to post here. I purchased my HP Pavilion mid-2014 with Windows 8.1 installed, and for the next 6-8 months it worked pefectly. At the end of that time (Jan-Feb 2015), I started losing wi-fi connection randomly, and often at inconvenient times. I'd have full bars, and it would say "Limited." Putting the computer to sleep and waking it up normally fixed the issue. However, soon after, it would completely stop, and say, "No Networks found." This could also be fixed by sleeping and waking the computer. Annoying as it was, it got worse pretty quickly. The computer entirely stopped recognizing the wifi driver, and gave a message saying "No connections available." I checked the driver status in Device Manager, and it wasn't even listed. Normally, it had two drivers:Realtek PCle FE Family ControllerRealtek RTL8188EE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter. The second one was gone from the list. A computer restart brought it back. Sometimes just waiting, or sleeping/waking up did as well. Not knowing what to do, and not realizing my computer was still under warrenty, I just bought a USB wifi adapter that fixed the problem "good enough."A few days ago, the USP adapter broke, and I'm back to where I started, and unfortunately, my warrenty expired some months ago. Extra information:When plugged into an ethernet cable, it works fine.Moving... I usually like to leave my computer on overnight. So I go offline, disable my wireless, and put on a video playlist in full screen to help me sleep. Anyway, today I woke up and saw the Windows Media Player no longer full screen, and the wireless switch was actually turned on. This is strange because I know I turned wireless off and I frequently check my system with Malwarebytes.

What could this be? Did someone snoop in my computer? Thanks in advance for the support.

I turned on my computer this morning after a Windows  update and it wouldnt allow me to connect to my wifi. Initially it said that I was manually connected to an old network but I deleted that and tried to manually connect to my home network but no luck. I worked through all the trouble shooting options and checked to see if the driver was up to date (it was) - all without success.  My computer allows me to connect an ethernet cord to it and the router and use the internet that way. I know it's not the router because I use the internet wi-fi with my iPad. A:HP Pavilion suddenly can't connect to Wi-Fi

Hello @HappyPaul,I see that you're having an issue with the wireless and connecting to the internet. I will try to assist you with this. As you mention this just occurring and that Windows recently updated, I would recommend starting with a system restore to before the issue started. There is a possibility that something during the update caused the issue. If that doesn't help, try the following document: Troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 8).To go with the document you can go into device manager > network adapters > right click the wireless adapter > uninstall. Restart your notebook, on start up Windows will reinstall the driver. If at that point you have no success, make sure that you've done the step in that document hat has you reset power to the router/modem. Yes, the iPad connect, but this doesn't mean there isn't an issue between the notebook and the router. The iPad is a completely different device, how it interacts won't be the same (think of people, I will interact differently with someone then you would). This step, generally alleviates those conflicts. Try the above and let me know how this goes for you.Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

My HP Pavilion g7 laptop turned off suddenly and now it won't start. The only indicator I had that something was wrong before it turned off was a small notification window started popping up that read something like "USB driver does not recognize the device..." but I hadn't changed anything... I had the power cord plugged in as always and the wireless mouse hand receiver plugged in as always. I took out the battery, unplugged the power cord and wireless mouse, let it sit for 30 mins and then reassembled. The laptop turns on for 3-5 seconds then dies again. I did the same thing, leaving every thing unplugged overnight... the lap top came on long enough for me to see a black screen and a sentence that read something like "press escape key" then the window changed and the screen read "recovery" (recommended) or start windows normally. I've tried both options but then 8-10 seconds in the laptop dies again.

A:HP Pavilion g7 turned off suddenly and now won't start

@max_iky, When you boot up into windows could you try and get into the BIOS by pressing F10? Once you get into the BIOS please test the HDD. Knowing you get the HP logo, you might just have a bad HDD that doesn't allow you to boot into windows.  Here is a document showing you how to test the HDD. Please let me know if you can. If you can't get into the BIOS remove the HDD and try again. Here is a video showing you how to remove the HDD.     If you can access the BIOS without the HDD in the notebook, then the HDD is bad.  Also, once you take the HDD out, try testing it in a different notebook. You want to check and see if the notebook will boot up with the same HDD. Let me know if it does.  Now, if you can test the HDD in the BIOS please let me know the results.  I look forward to your response   THX

I have recently purchased a HP Pavilion 22bw 21.5 inch monitor so that I may hook my PS3 and PC up to it at the same time,(HDMI and DVI respectfully). Things have been working great so far until today.  I was installing a game onto my PS3 hard-drive and switched back over to my PC. After about 20 minutes, I switched back and the screen was blank. I restarted my PS3 and notcied that while the HDMI output was being detected(no out of signal range messages or any of that), the screen remained black and the monitor's native control screens were blinking. Switching back to my PC, and all was fine. I have tried everything I could on the PS3 end( reset it to factory defaults and everything) and still no dice. I hooked it up to our flat screen in the livinging room and it works like a charm. Plugging it back into my monitor after that showed no improvmenet. So, the PS3 seems fine, the HDMI cable itself seems fine as well. So that just leaves Mr. Monitor. I haven't had any trouble with it prior to this point and I am infact using my PC and monitor right now to type this post. Any and all help would be great appreciated. Thank you! -Anthony

Everything seems correct in ipconfig when the device is properly connected, and a full reinstallation did'nt solve the problem.

Any suggestions will be apreciated, thank you.

I bought my hp Pavilion notebook in India. Now I live in the UK. For the last month or so, I've problems with my laptop. Whenever the laptop is on battery, it discharges very quickly. It randomly shuts off (not shut down, just shuts off with a gut wrenching clink of the hard disk) anytime below 50% charge. no notification of low battery or going into hibernation. It may happen in the middle of typing a sentence, or browsing. I ran diagnostics. HP battery check software first showed a "weak battery" result. I was about to order a new battery, when I ran the software again, which now says "primary battery OK". It is very confusing, as even if we agree that the battery has developed a problem, I can't understand why the system is not detecting low battery or putting the computer to hibernate, as per the settings. I've checked drivers - updated. The laptop is just one year and 3-4 months old. Should I replace the battery? Or is it a software error from the new windows 10 upgrade?Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

So my laptop has two LED lights, one in the front and one near the plug-in for the charger. Before it would charge perfectly and both lights turned on, then my charger broke and my grandmother got me a charger. This charger worked perfectly but the near-plug-in-LED light stopped turning on. Only the front one was turning on, but aside from that everything seemed just fine. My laptop requires a 120w Charger and the charger she gave me was of 65w. I didn't know this until about a week ago since suddenly during gameplays it would just randomly stop charging after about 5 minutes into a video game or after maybe 2 hours of just browsing and stuff. I went to a place to get it checked  and they told me it was because of the charger, etc etc. Now I bought a new charger and it's still the same, it charges (even though the battery icon says it's on 84% and doesn't move from there) but it suddenly just stops charging after a while again. The problem with it not charging is that my laptop gets extremely laggy and only lasts about 1 minute before it shuts down.Is it the battery? Please tell me there's another solution... Batteries are expensive. The reason I added so much detail to this question is because I don't want to leave anything out. Thanks

I have an HP Pavilion dv4, 500gb memory, about 5 years old.  It was working fine up til about a week ago when everything started running very slowly, at least ten times slower than the day before.  Firefox kept randomly pausing every five seconds or so, programs take a long time to open, etc.  I reset the system to a save point from earlier in the week.  That took about 12 hours for the computer to complete, and it didn't help.   I thought maybe I picked up a virus, so I tried to run a scan.  Malwarebytes didn't find anything and Microsoft Security Essentials has, as of this morning, been running for about 56 hours and has scanned about 300,000 files.  I don't think that should take this long.   I am not computer savvy, so I looked around on the internet and some pages suggest that my hard drive needs replacing.  Is there anything else it could be?   I have no idea how to port my operating system and everything over onto a new hard drive and would like to avoid screwing up my computer even more.

A:Windows 7, HP Pavilion dv4, computer suddenly started running very slowly

It sounds like a hard drive problem, but before replacing it, I'd want to do a few things.  First I'd back up any data I didn't want to lose while I still could.  Next I'd run chkdsk and let it check for and attempt repair of any bad sectors.  This will probably run another 2-3 hours - sorry 'bout that.  Finally I'd download disk diagnostics from Seagate or Western Digital and run them.  That will give you a lot of good info including the SMART data which predicts when the drive will fail.
Good luck.

Hi, I am working on an Acer Aspire, Pentium D, Vista, 2GB ram. After about 45 minutes, the screen blanks out. Have to reboot to get it going again. I ran Malwarebytes, it found 19 errors. I thought this might have solved the problem, but no. I also then changed monitors, but the problem is still there. I cleaned out the case, the 2 motors were really clogged up, I thought it might be heat related. Then I ran a memory test and it stopped working again. It has 2 memory chips, I have removed one and am running the memory test again. Am I going in the right direction? Or is there any other ideas?

Hi all,

I have a windows XP Pro SP2 installed on my Toshiba Satellite L 305-s5955.
Machine details : Intel Celeron, 2GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, 2MB L2 Cache.
My problem is that the welcome screen doesn't show up at startup and windows logs on automatically to Administrator instead of prompting for a user account selection. I checked out microsoft's tips but they were not any help.
I have a password protected, private, Administrator account with a different name. (i.e. Both default administrator and new administrator account have password protection).

Switching of fast user switching or using the classic logon style didn't solve the problem. How can this be solved?

Windows 98 Computer (Dell)

Outlook Express 6

Dial up modem internet connection.

When shutting down Outlook express , the option screen to disconnect or stay connected disappears very quickly before you have a chance to click an option.

Dial up stays connected and has to be disconnected manually.(By right clicking icon on task bar and clicking disconnect) If you forget to do this dial up stays connected and ties up phone line.

Yes, I have the disconnect when no longer needed box checked.
I also have the disconnect if idle set to 10 mins.
But we need the option screen to stay up long enough to click an option.

Please help!

This is a 2013 Toshiba Lx835-D325 all-in-one with a 3rd generation Intel i7 CPU. Originally had a 2 TB HDD and takes a 180 watt AC adapter.

The screen shows a "no media found" message for 5 seconds when first engaged by attaching the AC adapter plug, then fades back to a black screen. The power button starts the machine but no display image is revealed unless detaching and then re-attaching the power plug. The power button lights and starts the computer but fails to engage a display image. Could it be the power switch? The small power switch board is shown in the last picture.

When I RUN, TLIST -s, TLIST -t, or NET START on the command line, the screen disappears before I can read it. This seems strange as I see the screen quickly flash by but cannot freeze it for viewing. However, when I type CMD, the screen appears and stays

Any Advice?

Many thanks

The commands won't work from Start, Run. You need to open a cmd window first and then run them from there.

Hi all:I hope that this is the right board for this problem, even though it may not be primarily a "Touch" issue.  My problem is that I keep losing my pointer/cursor on my HP laptop. Here are my specs and details of the problem based on a set of questions that I found on another thread: What make / model computer? HP Pavilion 15-n216us What operating system? Windows 10 64bit upgraded from Win 8. Does the mouse left alone disappear or are you clicking on something and then it just disappears? It only (and always) happens when I touch the screen. The cursor disappears instantaneously when I touch the screen. It happens whether I have a USB mouse plugged in or not. How do you normally resolve the issue? Except for restarting the laptop, the only way that I can get the cursor back is to go to Personalize/Themes/Mouse Pointer settings. I then have to close the Mouse Pointer settings windows (clicking OK) while shaking the mouse. How is your mouse connected to your computer? Wireless but as stated above, it also happens when the mouse is not plugged in. One screen or two screens? If one, have you ever used two? One screen, never two. More information:1) The cursor is not set to disappear when typing.2) I read that this could be a problem with the Touchpad, so I downloaded the Synaptics Pointing Device driver for my laptop from the HP website. When I attempted to install it, I got a message that I already have a newer driver than the... Read more

Hello, I have a Dell laptop 15R 2nd Gen i-5 processor running Windows 7 Home 64bit.

The problem I am having is this: Mouse disappears on right side of screen. The entire right side of screen (not just in the lower corner). If I move the mouse 6 inches to the right off screen, then I would have to move it 6 inches to the left again until it re-appears. If I moved the pointer 1 foot to the right, I would have to move it 1 foot to the left until the pointer re-appeared again.

It's as if the pointer kept going on to a hidden screen??

Looks like a mismatch between physical resolution and the larger virtual desktop resolution. Should that be the case, a few users prefer the larger space to work with and can navigate and bring into view the unseen parts as needed.

The computer is a Pentium D, 3.0Ghz, 1Gig Ram, 250Gig HDD, Windows Media Center, Video - Radeon X1300, 512Mb

I have been experiencing OE randomly crashing when I click on Create a new Message. What in fact happens is that OE disappears from the screen but remains running in the background. I can see msimn.exe in Task Manager / Processes. The only way around this is to restart the machine.

The machine and memory tested as having no errors at the retailer that it
was purchased from.

I have just done a chkdsk and there were no errors found.

I have tried the following to relieve it:

 Update Windows Media Center
 Deleted the identities and recreated them importing the mail and
address books
 Uninstalled IE7 and reinstalled IE6
o Deleted the identities and recreated them importing the mail and
address books
 Update the computer?s BIOS
 Reformat the HDD and reinstall Media Center
o Reinstall all programs
o Update
? Create the identities and import the mail and address books
? Delete the identities and recreate them without importing the old mail and address books

In spite of all of this, it still randomly crashes when creating a new message

I am hopeful that someone can tell me what?s wrong

Thanks in advance

My Yoga 720-15IKB is just out of its warranty and I have noticed that when i click or type in the search bar (bottom left corner), the bar turns black as if it just disappears. As a result, I cannot search for applications. Sometimes i will begin to type and the results will appear for a split second before the entire box disappears.I am unsure if this issue could be related to another issue where my screen blacks out and displays random pixelations before it "runs into an issue" then reboots my computer. This has happened several times over the past few weeks and seems to be happening increasingly often.Drivers up to date, system is updated, ran a diagnostics test and no issues appeared. What is wrong and what do I do to fix this?

The issue I'm having is small, but I still would like it fixed because it's a small pet peeve of mine.

When I move my applications around the window disappears with a gray box around it, until I drop it. I've attached an image of the problem, because it's easier to show than explain.

Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you for your time

A:Application image disappears when moving it around screen

Hello Xed,

In Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings ....
See if you have "Show window contents while dragging" checked.
If it is not checked, check it and see if that fixes the issue.

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Since the upgrade I have noticed the following:

When my computer comes alive from screen saver mode, sometimes though not always all the icons are missing. The task bar is there but clicking on any item there does nothing. It's like everything just seizes up.

Any solutions please. It is frustrating.

Sounds like you have a virtual desktop that got added somehow. Click on the taskbar icon that looks like the square with two ears (next to Cortana in my screen shot. See if you have more than one desktops and close the extra one.

Hey there, new here and need some help. Here's what happened:

I opened internet explorer and typed in a google search and hit enter and it popped up a new instance of iexplorer instead of just searching in the current window as usual. Then, links I clicked on opened new windows which is not the usual setting. When I clicked in the middle of text on a web page it would highlight everything. Strange little things like that.

So, I clicked start > Turn Off > Restart and nothing happened; it just went back to the desktop. Pushed the Windows key and it wouldn't open the start menu. Finally I had to do a hard shut-off.

I waited a minute and booted the computer back up when it stopped at the login/password screen as usual. I typed the password and hit the Enter key and it just deleted the password and stayed on the page. So, I retyped it and clicked with the mouse on the green arrow button with the same result. Laptop built in mouse button did the same thing. Eventually it just froze entirely and I could not even type in the password box. Also, the little help icon on this screen would not bring anything up; it's like all the keys got remapped to different functions.

The only recent updates were the automatic Windows updates upon shutdown earlier today and the comp worked fine after booting up after that the first time.

Any thoughts?

I'm on a Dell laptop with XP Home.

EDIT: I hard shut down the comp again and let it sit for about 15 min. Booted... Read more

Lately my pointer is disappearing after i login from sleep or locked computer.

I had this problem in the past but it got solved after i restored my PC, now it came back to haunt me.
I am guessing some updates disrupted with the mouse cursor (not an expert opinion).

I've tried many things but the issue seems to be persistent.

Here are some things I've tried with no results:

Changing the pointer options (hide while you type, pointer trails, ctrl to highlight) and combinations of them.

I tried using different pointers (Black, White, Black small, etc)

Also tried using troubleshooting the software changes, sfc /scannow, clean registry with ccleaner, rebooting (many times).

It seems to be a problem with no concrete solution.

The only solution that I found is (Clt-Alt-Del) it changes the screen and the pointer appears again, if I lock the computer it is gone once more.

If somebody can help i would appreciate it.
