Where can I find a complete list or comprehensive list of these malware

Q: Where can I find a complete list or comprehensive list of these malware

Complete list of Ransomware, Browser Hijacker, Keylogger, Adware, Toolbar, Trojan Horses, Computer Worm, Spyware and Bot?

Preferred Solution: Where can I find a complete list or comprehensive list of these malware

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Where can I find a complete list or comprehensive list of these malware

With the very general nomenclature you ascribe to each form of malware. It is highly unlikely you will find a single repository for a comprehensive list for each category.

Ultimate List of Uninstallers

Sometimes uninstalling programs can be rather troublesome. Some may even defy the normal uninstall process altogether, while others do seem to work properly but may leave a host of data behind.

The companies themselves surely know about these issues and ? instead of creating better programs ? they often have made an uninstall tool or cleanup tool to help you do a proper job. The problem is that these specific tools are usually not readily found on the websites of these vendors.

Very useful. But I had to copy it first into a Notepad - very hard to read from the black background (at least at my age).

Hi all,

This may seem like a conspiracy theorist post or paranoia out of control but I assure you it's not.

It's a quest for the ultimate privacy. A lot of people say that "If you have nothing to hide, don't worry about it", but I don't subscribe to that line of thought. If it's MINE, no one has any business with it unless I Ok it.

Some people automatically assume that if you use e-mail encryption you must be communicating with terrorists and if you use file, folder, or full disk encryption you must be hiding child pornography.

These people are ignorant of the many, many legitimate reasons for wanting or needing full and absolute privacy and security. I'm not going to sit here all day and list all those reasons. Just start Googling and educate yourself.

Ok, moving on:
What this post is about is a hope to provide a comprehensive list of everywhere in Windows 7 (and 8/8.1/10, just in different locations) that there is a history stored without your knowledge.

If you allow Microsoft Word's 'Recent Documents', for example, to store a list of recently opened documents so you don't have to dig for that last few documents you may want to open quickly, then that is all well and good. You KNOW there's a list of what you opened. You can turn that feature off easily.

Also, browser history in most every browser can easily be cleared.

The issue I'm discussing here is what is stored without your consent or knowledge.

I got nailed last week.  I want to create a backup script for the file types that are encrypted by CryptoWall.  I've only seen vague references to "the usual *.docx, *.jpg, *.xlsx..." etc.  I do know that I lost all of my media files (many different formats), but my .dng's and .tiff's were spared.  Has anyone a list of what gets hit?
Thanks in advance.

So, I have an Inspiron Small Desktop (3647) currently with the Pentium G3220 CPU.
I'm considering going with an i3, since the power draw is approximately the same, and I could thus re-use the same heatsink.
The specifications document merely states that Celeron, Pentium, and i3/i5/i7 4th generation are supported, but no further detail than that.
My immediate question:  While I've seen the 3647 offered with the i3-4160 and i3-4170, does the system support the i3-43xx CPUs?
How about the various Haswell i3/5/7 CPUs with S, T, and TE at the end of the model number?  I'd possibly be interested in some of those for the purposes of reduced power consumption.
Ideally, is there some definitive list of every processor this computer supports?

A:Inspiron 3647 - is there a comprehensive list of CPUs supported?

Looks like it shipped with the i3-4170 but nothing beyond that.  No, there isn't an upgrade list -- Dell doesn't support CPU upgrades on systems once they're built.

Heatsink and fan come with the processor but you can buy better ones that are sometimes quieter and better for cooling. I'd prefer SATA drives instead of IDE.

I have to do some data entry at work, part of my entry is entering in numbers in a range of 1-200, the problem is that I have to enter them in a list box, not a text box, so the numbers are already entered, I just have to "choose" them. Back a week ago before I had to have my work PC reloaded, when I would type the numbers "134", the list box would display: "1", then "13", then "134", as I typed the numbers. After the OS reload, when I type the numbers "134" in the list box I get "1", then "3", then "4". This makes it very time consuming because I either have to search down the list box to find "134", or hit the number "1" 45 times. I have checked auto complete settings in IE, and I couldn't find anything that seems to help.

The only thing I found that seemed to be of any help was this website here: http://showcase.netins.net/web/fourcats/index.php?id=18

That guys list box does exactly what I want mine to do. When you type "Montana" you get montana, not Alaska. However he doesn't say what settings he changed in order to get it to do that. I know it has to be possible as my old PC did it.

Thanks for any help.

A:@NoelDP- COMPLETE LIST of PROBLEM Windows Updates from 2013.

Generally, all updates can cause problems with a limited number of machines - but there have been a number of updates this year which have been recalled by MS because they affected too many.
This month, the problem seems to mostly surround KB2859537 - at least for home users - and a batch of updates for Server OS's (affecting AD architectures)
All older updates that were recalled have been updated and re-issued.

Far more common in these forums is the problem of machines with underlying file or registry problems which don't come to light until Updates fail for one reason or another.

I'm running Win10 Pro 64bit and Revo Uninstaller Pro v3.1.5. There is a huge discrepancy in the installed programs lists provided by Revo Uninstaller and the Win10 Programs and Features control panel. They both say there are 83 installs (that's good). But Revo Uninstaller claims that 15 programs were installed a few days ago on 2/29/2016. The correct number is 3 which is what Win10 says. Today I uninstalled Revo Uninstaller (using Revo Uninstaller to do it) and then reinstalled it. No help.

I guess it might be OK to ignore this discrepancy but I find it surprising.

I have two lists.
List one is raw data. List two is a collection of flag/alert words.

I need to find any term in list one that contains any flag word from list two.

In this example every term on list one would return a result of 'true'. LIST TWO is always much shorter than list one.

I was trying to set it up so that in the column directly to the right of LIST ONE produces a 'true' if that list one term contains in any fashion any term from LIST TWO.

As you will see in the example I was also trying to have a similar column to the right of LIST TWO so that I could easily see how many of the key terms had been found in the much larger list.

The sample also has color fill based on the True/False to make it easier to visualize.

Can anyone help make this work correctly?

Like so many, I need help with a slowing computer, and appreciate your site. Would someone please tell me why my Task Mgr. Processes list showed 54, and the System Configeration Utility showed only 23 that were checked? I already unchecked 14 of those, & have shutdown several times since, and now have 47 processes showing in Task Mgr. (??) Do I simply use the definitions on sysinfo.org and delete what I determine in Task Mgr? I wonder why the lists do not match?

Also, can someone suggest the best computer cleanup program, free, or otherwise for a medium knowledge user? And, I am wondering what my virtual memory should be at. Task Manage shows running processes - System Configuration shows several things in it's Startup and it's Services tabs. The svchost.exe processes house (typically) between 1 and 25 other processes running beneath one instance of it.The System Configuration tool is designed for troubleshooting, not for tuning your system. Hi, I need some help from you guys to clarify some issues in Outlook 2003.
I have added some contacts, catagorised them, eg. Colleagues, Friends, Family. Now that I want to send e-mails to all my colleagues.

I opened the "New Message to Contact" then clicked on the "To" button and waited to see the list of my contacts show up, however, it shows a dialog box saying:

"The address list could not be displayed (not including the smiley ofcourse). The contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted... blah blah blah"

Knowing that nothing is deleted or damaged, I ignored it, and tried to create distribution list, gave it a name and clicked on "Select Members" then the same messsage box appears (as above).

I've been told that it uses contacts in the "Address Book" of Windows (to my knowledge, when you back up Outlook 2003 .pst files, these entried aren't backup too) and I would liek to keep my contacts in one place, in the .pst that is, so does this mean, to have distribution list (mailing list) to mass mail to my colleagues, I must use Windows's Address Book ? This has also been an issue with my clients who use Outlook.

How does all these contacts thingy work ? I would like to get my head around it, gimme a hand guys

A:Outlook Mailing-List / Distribution List

You need to set up Outlook to use your Contacts as an address book. Go to Tols > Options and click the Mail Setup tab and select the Mail Options button. Select the radio button for View or Change Existing directories or Address books. Click next and see if there is an entry for Outlook Address book and if it isn't there add it. If it is there it may be corrupted thus your message so delete it and recreate it. Once it is in there open your contacts folder and in the Outlook bar on the left right click on the contact item and select properties. select the Outlook Address Book tab and put a check in "Show this Folder as an Address Book" Should work after that.

Line 1 and 2 will be hard coded into the script. In fact, this section will have more lines but for this example, I've cut it down. Lines 3 and 4 are codes that add all maps to the server: wizard and bloodgulch. These are *.map files. Line 5, like lines 1 and 2, are to be hard coded.

The map files are in the \maps subdirectory of the game. What I'm looking to do, is create a batch file that will generate the above text. That is, getting a list of map files in the \maps directory and concatenating it with the proper text before and after. I also want to have the .map extension removed from the lists.

The \maps subdirectory has a few *.map files that aren't actual maps, in fact I don't know what they are. So, I would like to be able to allow for exclusions, which I will hard code as well. (i.e.: ui.map, sounds.map)

Note that this script will probably be saved somewhere in the Quick Launch folder and I want to specify the location of the output and the name of the file. It will be in a text file format.

A:List Files in Folder With Ignore List

DIR "D:\Data\" /s > "D:\List.txt"

This script will make a text listing all files in a folder.

D:\Data is where the folder is located and D is the drive where the text file "List" will be created. Note Windows 7 will NOT allow the text file to be created on C-drive.

You may have to edit to get what you want in the text files. I have found this script to be very useful.

I am curious why a listing of 22 products in Norton Systemworks and Norton Firewall Live Update list would have dropped to 7 products in the last week or so. The rest have been there since early December.(only antivirus still showing). I don't know what is being updated now other than the antivirus program. Anyone have any ideas?
Can I remove Systemworks and Firewall and re-install them or will that cause problems?
Thanks for any info.

A:products disappearing from liveupdate list list

The 22 products will have been compacted down to 7. I think what happens is that as soon as fix is needed a stand alone update is put out pretty fast and is then refined and eventually combined with a few others into a single update.

I have a Pavilion DV7-3164cl and the battery won't charge.  It seems to be completely dead.  The notebook seems to work fine using the AC charger.  Searching the internet, it seems like several folks have fixed their battery problems by updating the firmmware.  My macine is using Version F.14 and I'm thinking that there might be a later level out there.  When I go to support, drivers and enter my machine type, it shows that there is only 1 driver available and it's to update to Windows 10.I am already running Windows 10.  What is the latest bios level for my system and where can I find it?  I'd like to try it before buying new batteries or sending the notebook in for service.

I am new to Windows 8 and 8.1, but I am not new to xbox games.

One thing which confuses me...

I have downloaded a few xbox games from the Windows Store, but how exactly do I find them. I will give an example:
I have downloaded Jetpack Joyride and Glacier Blast. Because I've played Jetpack Joyride, it appears in the "home" section of my Games place. However, I cannot for the life of me find Glacier Blast.

My one question:
Where is there a list of my games I have for Windows????

A:How to find my list of games.

If these are apps downloaded from the store, they have not yet been pinned to your start menu. Find the arrow pointing down at the bottom of the start menu, and it will pull up all your apps, listed by date, category, or whatever. You can also find them by searching. Right-click them and pin them to the start menu for quick access.

Read the Key at top of page. Use the Search box to check all your entries

When you reboot you will get a message saying you have started in "Selective Startup" Click "Don`t show this message again" then OK

A:How to find a compatibility-list for CPU's of your motherboard

I thought it was in the PDF on your Support page

You can also contact HP on this too (using live chat) I've done it, and stated I don't even own a HP, they were still happy to help

Have a look here:

Also in future you are best to mainly supply your Manufacture and Model number
