I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: What are the differences between Yoga 920 and Yoga 920 Glass 14"

Hi lenovotv,

Greetings.

Yoga 920 Glass is mainly with the fashionably designed gorilla glass as main difference. In details, it would be specific if you use a part number /MTM instead to compare to variants of machine (ex. 80Y8000UUS).

From the website, click view current models then check on the compare box. Take note that the default Yoga 920 without glass can be customize so you can also change specific part parameter. If you have a specific part number in mind then we can also match it with 80Y8000UUS Yoga 920 Glass.

I hope this helps answer your query.
Update us how it goes for you.

Regards

I belive this started happening after I updated my Bios and did windows update. This has been going on for around a month and I am frustrated and cannot find a solution online anywhere. Please help. Solutions I have tried:Turning my laptop on and off/restart.I have tried turning off fast startup and this temporarily fixed my keyboard but did not last.Tried updating my drivers through Lenovo update, windows, and device manager.I have gone into device manager and deleted my keyboards and that only worked temporarily too.

Usually, when groups of keys in rows or columns stop working, the problem is the keyboard itself.  Are you still under warranty?

Hi can anyone tell me the difference between the 80R5003JUK & the 80R5003HUK models or are they just different numbers for the same mode sold by different major retail stores? Thanks

A:Yoga 500 model differences

Hi Mutley8979,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Using the parts look up tool on both 80R5003JUK (red) and 80R5003HUK (white), what shows up are just the colors :
Lower Case W Flex3-1470 RedLower Case W Flex3-1470 WhiteLCD Cover W Flex3-1470 WhiteLCD Cover W Flex3-1470 Red

Try running another side by side comparison in case I miss out on any remarkable difference.

Since we are using the machine model number and not specific serial numbers yet, those describe on the parts lookup page for each are generic parts compatible with the model and may change as other resellers may customize some parts and software.

It would also be better if you have a specification from the store itself to match it with the Lenovo lookup tool.

Hope this help answer your query.

Regards

Hi, Have any other uses experienced receiving a wrong order? The two screen shots below show what is currently on the website and what was on the website when I placed my order. I wanted the laptop on the top right, regardless of what "name" is attributed to it, but I received the laptop on the bottom right. I know that one user posted about this, but I was wondering if anyone else had the same experience. If so, could you advise me on how you got this resolved? How long did it take? Thank you so much

My yoga 13 has a cracked screen. The LCD is in working shape but the touch digitizer glass is cracked so I am no longer able to use the touch screen. Can I just replace the glass or front bezel? The glass broke on my Yoga 900, I have had it for less than a month so not a great day so far. I have contacted some local repair places, but no one seems to be able to get the replacement part, and I haven't had much luck on the support page.  Any ideas how I go about getting the part, or at least the part number?  Or any suggestions for ways to get it repaired?  I am near Charlotte NC USA

A:Yoga 900 - Broken glass

Good day and welcome to the community.
Sorry you're having difficulty.

Regarding part numbers, it looks like the entire lid/LCD assembly is one part. Please see pages 52-53 (item #1) of the HMM: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/yoga_900-13isk_hmm_201509.pdf

Regarding repair, you might wish to call Service (info below) to ask about depot service or authorized centers near you.

Hope this helps a bit.

Hello everyone, my Thinkpad Yoga 460 (P/N 20EM000VGE) got dropped and the biggest damage is the cracked screen. Everything else and especially the lcd is still fully functioning, only the touchscreen is not working (neither pen, nor finger). Moments after the drop, the touchscreen was registering "phantom touches" of the windows logo, which is just a few centimeters away from the point of impact. But that also has not happened again in the last few days. My question is, is there a replacement glass by Lenovo or can i use a replacement glass including digitizer from ebay (I can provide a link if needed and i'm allowed to post it)? I think it should be possible to heat the glass with a hair dryer to soften the glue and remove the glass from the lcd and replace it. Is that correct or am i missing something? I would rather not want to buy the whole display unit even though it would be easier to swap. If you need any further info just ask. Any help is appreciated. Best regards mrks

So I got this limited lid gass edition yesterday from bestbuy. Everything works fine and I really love this greatly designed machine (though the fan noise does come out often). The only issue I am having right now is the backlit. I have pressed "Fn" and then the space button (I assume that's what to do since that's how I turn on the backlit on my X1C) but there's no light coming out. I checked the keyboard driver and it says the latest version has been installed. I have tried restarting and even reseting but nothing changes. But the CapsLk light does go on when press it. Can anyone here help me solve the issue? This is a really nice machine and I don't wanna send it back to Bestbuy.

My laptop was dropped and impacted around the black bezel, cracking the edge with cracks fingering across the display. The actual panel seems to be perfectly fine, but obviously the touch isn't working. The laptop is only a year old, so I'd really rather replace the part than the whole thing if I can. Can just the touch screen/glass be replaced, or will it require replacing the whole assembly? I purchased the unit open box at a great price, so I'm not averse to potentially replacing the whole assembly. Thanks for any replies!

A:Yoga 14 ThinkPad 20FY- Cracked Glass- Options

The glass is actually to touch digitizer and is bonded to the LCD, so it cannot be replaced separately.  That part can be extracted from the lid, so you don't need the whole lid, but you do need the LCD and glass.

The symptoms:One day when you've opened or closed the lid as you would with normal use, you here a pop and notice that the screen has separated from the lid body in one of the corners near the hinge (the screen glass may or may develop a crack a that point). If you chose to do nothing though, this problem will only get worse and, eventually, the screen glass will crack.  The problem:The root cause of the problem is the use of glue/adhesive applied by the manufacturer to keep hinge assembly attached to lid body. After a while the glue fails to hold the hinge in place and it separates from the lid. When that happens (with a pop), the hinge mounting plate (made of steel) is now moving freely between the screen and the lid so when you try to move the lid, it's pushing against the back of the screen causing screen glass to bend outward. This applies to ALL Lenovo Yoga series notebooks as their hinge design is the same and Lenovo is aware of it... but choses to do nothing. Support:Given that Lenovo designed this hinge and chose the materials and methods to assemble it, you would think that it would take the responsibility for it failing to last passed warranty. Unfortunately, no such luck. When you call support, you get nothing but denial and blame for mishandling their state-of-the-art product and causing it to fail. So you end up with a total disappointment on your hands and a bitter taste of unfairness. Repair:The hinge can be repaire... Read more

Hi all. I purchased Lenovo Yoga 920 Glass Edition from Lenovo Web Store on September 13, 2018. The notebook was delivered to me on September 21, 2018 in Chicago. I bought the highest configuration available for this IdeaPad i.e. 4K display, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD. During the initial three weeks of usage, I have experienced "blue screen" error crash while working in Windows on several occasions. On October 16, 2018 after yet another blue screen error crash, the system completely failed and I could have never used the notebook again ever since. It seems that there was a complete SSD failure since no SSD was detected by BIOS and Lenovo Windows Recovery Key did not help either. Finally, I run a hardware scan that showed all components passed the test, except the SSD, which was not even scanned since it was not recognized as existing at all. The conclusion is very likely that my 1TB SSD died after only three weeks of usage. Having said the above, I am unable to use my US$2k worth notebook ever since mid-October last year. The trouble is that I live in Montenegro (Europe) and this notebook is under Continental warranty, meaning that it can be repaired only int the US or Canada. I have asked Lenovo to make exception and allow their local authorized repair center in Montenegro do the repair, but that was refused under the excuse that some parts may be unavailable since the notebook was assembled in the US. I doubt that this would be a problem since ... Read more

Hello Lenovo customers,After 7 months of use of my Thinkpad X380 yoga, my touchscreen was cracked, without any apparent cause. I am curious if there are more people with the same problem, so I would ask you to reply, when it occurred to you too. The occurrence: Nothing extraordinary had happened. I put my laptop in good condition in a neoprene sleeve like every morning. Then I put it in the laptop compartment of my bag. After ten minutes I was at work, got the laptop out of the bag and sleeve, opened it and the screen was cracked all overThe only difference with the other mornings was that the temperature outside was a little colder in comparison with other days. Because I could not prove it was not my fault, Lenovo didn't do on site repairs, but I had to send my laptop in. After three weeks it came back repaired. I had to pay ?465.When it was back, I discovered a small fracture in the cover at the hinge. Now Lenovo sent in the on site repairman, because it should have been repaired. When he tried to carefully remove the cover, immediately a new crack appeared in the new screen. The repairman blamed it on the screen being under too much tension. Now they will repair it in some days. But I am suspicious this is a manufacturing fault because it happened for the second time. The same thing happens to other people with Lenovo or Thinkpad yoga laptops bought last years, like you can see:https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-910-cracked-scre... Guru with a problem.

Recently, my 910 has started having an issue with flickering black lines that dance up and down the display. The lines are horizontal and are reminiscent of watching analog television with someone flipping a light switch on and off in another room. Hope that describes it. For a while, shutting down the computer, opening the display to tablet, then bending it back to laptop would resolve the issue. Now, it's pretty constant. Battery or AC.  On occasion, the display will distort as in the attached pics

Yes, have all the latest drivers. This really looks like a loose connector, to me. Have not broken open the case and do not plan to so long as it's still under warranty.

In the MS Word photo, below, you can see two of the flickering lines toward the bottom of the screen. (ignore the reflection of a window in the "Paragraph" box)

Also ignore the reflection of a window in the upper left of the desktop distortion photo and the round ceiling light reflections on the right hand side.

Suggestions welcome.

Like stated in the description. the Lenovo Yoga Control Service require 3% out of the CPU, all the time. and the only thing the service does is checking the orientation of the screen, and disable keyboard and mouse when flipped. This is absurd, especially since it drains battery constantly. I hope that this will be fixed eventually, until that time, I will turn the service off and use the computer like a regular laptop.

I own a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga (1st gen as a Yoga; 4th gen as a Carbon), Product 20FQCTO1WW. Starting two days ago, it randomly reboots. The event log shows that it has had an unexpected reboot ("The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."), but reading the events leading up to the reboot doesn't give me much of a clue as to why. The only interesting events are messages that a core of the CPU is being throttled ("The speed of processor X in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report."). I took the bottom cover off and agressively blew compressed air in every crevice. This did remove some dust buildup, but the system wasn't as dirty as I expected. In fact, it looked pretty clean. I also vaccuumed. And I removed the fan and thermal heatsink and throughly blew compressed air through it and made sure that there was no gunk clogging the heatsink air fins. After reassembling, it seems to be slightly more stable, but it has still rebooted a few times. There are lots of threads where people complain about fan noise and ask how they can reduce the speed of their fan. I'd like to run mine at max 100% of the time (noise be darned) for a few days just to see if that keeps the system from randomly rebooting. However, I don't know of a sofware setting where I can control... Read more

I am a very frustrated and angry customer at the moment as i keep running into Road Block and unacceptable answers.  This issue is enough to cause me to never buy another Lenovo laptop or any laptop at Best Buy!I bought my computer in July and in September i noticed a key had popped off-  the "< ," key next to the M key.  I have used the key board only when i was setting up-  now at my office and at customers i set it in downward dog mode ;-) and use a blue tooth key board.    So it is not from use that it broke.   I took the laptop into BEST BUY and was told that the key was missing a metal part on the back so they could not fix it onsite-  i would have to send it in and be without my laptop for a week to 10 days - unacceptable -  this was a month or more ago. I searched on the LENOVO website and could not find a way to purchase a single or the entire set of Keys!  I am self employed as a software consultant.   My life is pretty busy and i finally decided today to bite the bullet and ask for a call from Lenovo support.  Again i am told the only way to fix this is to send my laptop in for a repair.  I asked to just be able to buy a KEY - i am told that well they do not sell individual keys - they would replace the entire keyboard!  So sell me the keyboard and or send me one an i will take into best buy to have them replace it while i wait.  They cannot do that.   I live...                                                                      Left: Yoga 920 in Bronze. Right: Yoga 910 in Silver

On the surface, both the Yoga 910 and Yoga 920 look nearly identical, but in my testing, I prefer one over the other. Let's dig deeper to see the differences between the two!To get this out of the way, both machines have 1TB PCIe storage, 16GB memory, and the Yoga 910 has the 7th gen i7-7550U processor, and the Yoga 920 has the 8th gen i7-8550U processor.

Hardware & Design
Both the Yoga 910 and Yoga 920 are built out of aluminum, which gives them a high quality feel to them.  Both laptops have the keyboard integrated into the chassis, which means less keyboard flex. One thing that I find better in the Yoga 920 is the fact that it's all smooth edges around.  The Yoga 910 has pretty sharp edges which means you could scratch your surface or yourself.  The sharp edges of the Yoga 910 was a common complaint, and I'm glad they rectified it.

The Yoga 920 also has a little slit on the display lid that makes it much easier to open the lap... Read more

Hello Dws520Thanks for using the Lenovo forums. Was this the creators update?
If so, have a look on the following post, this should show if your device has been tested with the update yet:
https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/ht503655

From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.==================================================================================Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo! If you find a post helpful and it answers your question, please mark it as an "Accepted Solution"!

I have checked the RUNDLL32 processes with Process Explorer and the command line are as follows:C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe C:\ProgramData\LenovoTransition\Server\x64\EnableAutoRotation.dll,RunCustomMonitor The directory is as follows: C:\ProgramData\LenovoTransition\Server\x64\ The only solution I have found is restarting the laptop. The problems comes back when again more than one user is logged in. Also, the rundll32 processes only run high cpu on one account at a time and there doesn't seem to be a preference for a specific account, all of them are plagued one at a time with the problem. Disabling the Yoga Mode Control service is a fix but that breaks the mode control which is essential in this laptop. I have tried installing all the available software on the Software page foor the YOGA 700. The rundll32 processes drain the battery very fast and I can't always log off other users when they have apps open!  I have posted a screenshot of process explorer showing 2 rundll32.exe processes using 25% cpu usage each. However, sometimes up to 4 rundll32.exe processes open up and they use combined 100% cpu usage, which makes the laptop run very hot and slow. In t... Read more

A:Yoga 2 Pro: Download 'Yoga Picks Desktop application'

I accidentally deleted this software too when I cleaned up the system. I need the link to a free download, too.

Hello!I am trying to find out if DisplayPort is supported on the following two models: - Yoga 710-14IKB (80V4003LMX)- Yoga 900S-12ISK (80ML000RMX) I need to drive UHD TVs (4K at 60fps) and various high resolution displays using DisplayPort (HDMI 1.4 only supports 4K at low refresh rates).  It seems to be difficult find out looking through the documentation provided by Lenovo. I have come across some info though: Yoga 710-14IKB:The documentation on  http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/yoga/700-series/yoga-710-14/#80V4000GUS under "Ports" states that: "Micro HDMI?""DisplayPort? (combo with HDMI?)" This indeed seems to indicate that DisplayPort is supported, but I cannot find any info on how this works. - Is DisplayPort supported by the Yoga 710?- If so, what kind of adapter is needed, and where can this be found? Yoga 900S-12ISK:This machine has an USB-C "USB 3.0 port with Video-out". I have found a Lenovo USB-C to HDMI Adaptor-NA (GX90K37871):    https://www.cnet.com/products/lenovo-usb-c-to-hdmi-adapter-external-video-adapter/specs/but so far I have not seen any USB-C to DisplayPort adapter from Lenovo. When an USB-C port has video capabilities, it is usually DisplayPort available (I have seen reviews of Yoga 900S that this actually is the case for the Yoga 900S. - Is DisplayPort supported by the Yoga 900s?- If so, what kind of adapter is needed, and where can this be found?&n... Hey. I bought my Yoga 520-14IKB (Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256gb NVMe SSD, GeForce 940MX) 2 month ago, had no problems, till last week. Now sometimes i experience such a strange behaviour. Mainly i work on my laptop in normal mode, and sometimes, during such work, it can false trigger a tablet mode for a few (2-3) seconds (notification appers), which causes the keyboard to switch off for this time, despite the fact, that it still stands as a normal laptop, not even close to position, which triggers the yoga mode. How can i fix this? System is Windows 10 April 2018 Update, have all the latest drivers and latest version of BIOS.
