I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A:Which graphics cards are compatible with my motherboard?

You can't always tell with brand manufacturers since sometimes they will have the MB makers modify their boards. However, in this case it looks like any of the AGP video cards will be compatible with the MB. Where you will have to watch things is the card's power requirements. Many of the brands will have a PS on the small (meaning output) size.

A:What are graphics cards compatible with 80C2 Motherboard ?

The video chip is soldered to the board; there is no way to replace it or upgrade or change it out for something else.  There are open source driver packages that should support that video card in current Ubuntu distributions: http://askubuntu.com/questions/720364/amd-radeon-r5-m330-drivers The standard xOrg driver should work but will not have 3D support. The updated AMD driver will.

This is everything that i believe you need to know for my question. I want to know, what type of graphics cards am I able to use with my PC? I only ask because I was told certain graphics cards are not compatible with certain motherboards. All my PC information is in those 2 links. I also ask because my tower is quite slim compared to most, and I'm not sure if size matters in this situation. I'm not very computer literate.

So, what type of graphics cards can I get? I would like to upgrade mine. Mainly because when I try to play games, I get through the entire downloading phase and then i get an error saying something about my DirectX. I have DirectX 11.1 but I get this error: "Your DirectX version is unsupported."

The game I'm trying to play is Elder Scrolls Online. I have a link to the game's requirements at the top so you can compare it to what I currently have and maybe be able to tell me what the issue is? Basically, I'm looking at the game's "minimum requirements" and it looks as if I have everything but I don't really know.

Hello, I have a p7-1234 with an upgraded power supply running an AMD r7-250 2gb GPU. I would like to know what the most powerful, best card that I can use with this older computer. Thank you for your help!

A:Looking for a list of compatible Graphics cards

Coolartcaleb, welcome to the forum. HP doesn't have a list of video cards that are compatible with their computers.  However, newer cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012.  There is no way to upgrade the the BIOS to UEFI. The last video cards that didn't require UEFI are the GT 640's.  Your best option is to choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best card for your computer. Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

Hi!

I am looking for graphics cards that don't require 400W power supplies. I don't thing the average card uses all the 400W of power, but what is a good PS for graphics cards?

I am setting up external graphics with a PCI-e to x16 PCI adapter that offers 8 pin power connector. You can find it here:

http://www.amazon.com/Laptop-Extern...6270390&sr=8-1&keywords=graphics+card+adapter

Along with the adapter, I am looking for an 8 pin to 6pin/8pin adapter (8pin female on one end, and 6 pin plus an 8 pin male plugs on the other).

I am looking at this PSU:

http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Dell-...=1456281602&sr=1-2&keywords=220w+power+supply

Also, I am using a Toshiba Satellite C75D-B7230. I have removed the network card without any flaws or error messages, that was plugged into the PCI-e slot.

Any replies are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hello, I dont know much about computers so I'll try my best to explain this in the best terms possible. After checking my systems specs I realized I have an okay computer for playing games. I have a 12 GB RAM and an intel i5-3270T CPU core in my computer, that fits in an about 11x11x4 inch case. The one thing is I have a regular Intel graphics card (with a 1792 MB total memory, and a 96 MB VRAM). I know thats not great for playing games and my low frame rate in computer games proves that. I wanted to know what graphics cards are compatible with my system or at least what I should look into before making a choice. Thank you.

A:list of compatible graphics cards for HP Pro 3300 Series MT

Hi: Below is the link to the quickspecs for your PC. The list of supported video cards can be found on page 4. http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c04288441.pdf Nowadays, another factor when choosing a video card is the age/version of the BIOS in your PC vs the model of the video card. It's no longer a simple comparison of the power supply draw and PCI express version. Choosing the newest ones out on the market today will probably not work in a PC more than a year or two old.

I think it's ridicutlous that you have such a short list of compatible cards. I just bought a GeForce GT 730 which is nearly identical in most specs to the 530 but the 730 won't run. Seriously, HP should be put out a clear warning with all of their PCs that they limit upgradability and ship the computers with compatible hardware. Apparently it's a very short list so it should only take 1 page of paper. Now I'm stuck with a video card I can't use and have you tried finding a 530 even for sale? I suspect the others are similarily rare.

I purchased a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 760 for my p7-1245 with a IPISB-CU motherboard. The product specs say that the motherboard supports PCI-E x16 video cards. I also purchased a 725w power supply to accomodate the new video card. After installing, the computer freezes on the HP splash screen. I can't even get into the setup menus. After replacing the card with the original AMD Radeon HD 7450 everything worked again. I have done some research and discovered a lot of similar problems when people try to replace or upgrade the graphics cards in their HP desktops. Recommedations including updating bios, etc. seem to be ineffective for others, with the eventual conclusion being the incompatibility of the board itself with the graphics card. Perhaps the card I bought requires a newer generation PCI slot and is not backwards compatible? Is there a list of compatible graphic cards for the IPISB-CU motherboard? Thanks for any help.

So i am buying a new Gigabyte G1 Sniper motherboard and 2 new ASUS Radeon 6970 DirectCU II 2GB, will my 850w power supply still be enough?

A:New motherboard and two new graphics cards

If you're still planning on OC'ing the CPU -and presumeably the cards...then probably depends on the power efficiency of the PSU and age...and how much power in reserve you're comfortable with. You were talking about taking the 950 to 4GHz...that's pushing into the 180-200w zone. Crossfired cards will likely take you to ~550w. Overclocking the cards to any reasonable extent could add another 100w - say 650w system total.

850w PSU @ 85% efficiency = 723w. Anything less than 85% might be pushing it.

Hi I'm on a asus p7h55-m/usb3 motherboard. And I'm about to upgrade the graphics card, from an nvidia gtx 450 to a gtx 770 (4gb). I do a fair bit of colour grading and they recommend using two graphics cards, the weaker dealing with the GUI. I'm wondering whether I can install both the new and old card in the motherboard? Primarily using the new one, but in specific program's using the older card to deal with those tasks. I'm using davinci resolve.

I know the p7h55 doesn't support SLI but is it possible to have two cards not functioning in sli?

A:Two non sli graphics cards in a specific motherboard possible?

Your motherboard only has one full PCI-Express x16 slot and two x1 slots. So the answer is not really. Theoretically you could use the older card in the x1 slot but you would have to cut the slot to fit the card and you would get much less bandwidth. Your power supply would also have to be a very good unit and be able to provide the wattage required for running cards. Also some cards and motherboards won't run a graphics card in a x1 slot. I wouldn't do it personally without the proper motherboard with two full x16 slots and a high quality 700 watt or higher power supply.

I've just finished building a new PC and I'm having real problems. To give you some background, I'm hardly new to building my own PCs having built perhaps seven over the years. This build however is giving me problems and I've run out of ideas. The current system is this:

Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
Core 2 Duo E8400
2x1GB Corsair TwinX DDR2
Antec P182
Corsair 520W HX PSU (this is a modular unit with 20+4, 4 and 8 pin power leads and a modular system for the rest)
Gigabyte 8800GT (the one with the Zalman cooler)

Here's a general shot without the GPU installed:

And a closer shot with the Gigabyte 8800GT in:

(Note that the only connections are the case headers, 4- and 24-pin power supplies and the 6-pin power supply to the card)
Initially I had an 8800GT 512mb alphadog rather than the above card. I connected the CPU/heatsink/motherboard/RAM outside the case (on a static-free surface) to the PSU, 8800GT and monitor to see if it would POST. It seemed to power up properly and the CPU and GPU fans spun up; there was no warning bleeps but there did not appear to be any output on the monitor. Obviously there were none of the system headers attached at this point and I turned it on by touching the relevant connections with a screwdriver.

The only strange element initially was that the system powers up, the 3D card fan came on immediately, then the CPU fan a couple of seconds later, then after perhaps four second the whole system shut off. It then restarts and d... Read more

On Saturday, my 8800GT decided to start failing - wouldn't run games, failed DXdiag 3D tests and kept crashing the computer with 'Thread Stuck in Device Driver' blue screens. After I tried it in my second PC and got the same result - and tried an old 7800GT in my main PC without problem - I decided it was time for a new graphics card.

I decided to go with a Zotac GFX 275, and it arrived yesterday. I uninstalled the driver of the 7800GT I'd tested the PC with, booted into safe mode and used Driver Sweeper to clean out anything left behind.

I then plugged in the GTX 275 and hooked it up to 2x 6 pin PCIe power connectors (this was after having to shift the HDD to make space - this is a big card!). I turned it on and... no display. The PC had power - fans spun/blue, green, yellow LEDs lit up etc, but it clearly wasn't picking up the card (no beeps as this motherboard doesn't have a speaker connection for some reason).

I pulled it out, put the 7800GT back in and the display was back - but at POST I got a 'PC in safe mode - please reset CPU or memory frequency in CMOS set-up' message.

I went into the BIOS to check everything looked normal, shut down and put the GTX 275 back in. I then cleared the CMOS using the jumper on the motherboard. Powered up -... Read more

So, I had a power outage and my PC wouldn't start up afterward. I took it to a computer repair shop and they determined it was the motherboard. I replaced the motherboard now, installed Windows 7 again (but kept the old files on the HDD, as custom install lets you do, it just partitions the drive), and only the on board graphics is working. I can't get my PC to detect any graphics card despite plugging them into the PCIe x16 slot (closest to the CPU) and their fans coming on. There is no indication of a graphics card in Device Manager.
Things I have tried:
-Updating BIOS
-Installing most recent chipset drivers
-two different graphics cards (560 Ti and 6850)
-updating Windows, including all optional updates
-Going into the BIOS, selecting primary display as PEG (which is the PCIe slot), it saves, I plug in a monitor to my GPU, nothing, but I plug the monitor into the on-board graphics and it works. The option for primary display is reset in the BIOS back to "Auto select" after this.
-Tried the PCIe x4 slot, it doesn't detect them
-I tried installing Nvidia/ATI drivers, but they won't even install because I don't have the proper hardware (card not detected)

I'm not sure what to do now... I don't think the slots are dead because neither PCIe slot works. Am I missing some sort of motherboard software or is it a compatibility issue? I'm really at a loss here.

Hi, I believe I've had a motherboard failure so I've gone and bought a 2nd hand m/b and cpu combo off ebay to replace it.

The cpu that comes with it is compatible with the motherboard apparently.

Will my ATI Radeon™ HD 2400 Series graphics card be compatible with an ASUS M2A-VM/V-M2A690G/DP-MB and AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ socket AM2 CPU ADA4600IAA5CU 2.4 GHz Windsor dual core CPU?

Any way to find out?

Checked on the graphics card page http://www.amd.com/us/products/desk.../hd-2400/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-2400-series.aspx but it doesn't tell me if it's compatible there.

If compatible, any issues expected on windows 7, or anything I have to do/bear in mind? Will Windows 7 find all the drivers for me, and install them automatically, and if so, will I need to go and uninstall all my old m/b drivers, and any changes in the bios etc I need to do?

Thanks.

A:Solved: is this motherboard compatible with this graphics card

No, the motherboard has an AGP 4X slot and the video card is PCI-e.

i'm asking this question simply because right now i have a geforce 8500 video card but i want to get a crossfire ready motherboard and sooner or later switch over to crossfire but i was wondering if i would be able to use my 8500 card in the motherboard just as a single video card set up.

A:single sli graphics card compatible with a crossfire ready motherboard?

Yes it will be fine.

I'm running two 8600's on a crossfire mobo without any problems.

I have an older Vostro running latest Win 10, with a  0YJPT1 motherboard which has a PCI Express and I am trying to add a GTX 1060 graphics cards. Have updated BIOS, turned off Secure boot, enabled legacy mode and installed the drivers  but the graphics card won't work - no input is being sent to the monitor.
What else can I try? Or is the motherboard not able to support the graphics card.

A:Is GTX 1060 graphics card compatible with an older Vostro (motherboard 0YJPT1)

Most of these require a 6- or 8-pin direct connection to the power supply -- if yours does, how are you powering it (most power supplies in Inspiron/Vostro don't have the required connector)?

Hi. I got a 2-3 year old Lenovo Yoga 500-14ACL laptop, Machine Type Model: 80NA002MMX, with the newest BIOS firmware from Lenovo, in which I got a Linux distro installed to a partition.  My only problem is, the WiFi does not work, as there are no drivers available for this card on Linux systems. I tried as a last resort to use a program called "ndiswrapper" to install the windows driver in my Linux distro with the help from Linux professionals, sadly it did not work. Now my only chance is to purchase a new WiFi card compatible with Linux distros (not a USB WiFi plug), so my question is, where is that "whitelist" which Lenovo has implemented into the BIOS online? I have searched online, but I cannot find a list containing compatible cards. I see many users has purchased cards previously without being aware that Lenovo reject certain cards, and that is exactly what many users report, the card is rejected by the BIOS, and the users are left with a card they can not use. Before I order a new WiFi card, I want to make sure the card I order is compatible in my laptop. I came from the store I bought the pc today, and the techicians there were very surpised that Lenovo in fact had such a list in their BIOS, and they were not aware about it until I informed them. They told me that all they could do is to contact Lenovo directly by mail, so they recommended I did that myself, in which this forum post is all about. What WiFi cards are in the BIOS'... Hi there,

My computer came with a VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP card, which is apparently a Graphics/Video Card with onboard video (or the other way around, video w/ onboard graphics) Now, this is a terrible card- it can barely play any modern games. I want to get a new graphics card, but I'm concerned if I install a new Graphics Card, that because of the onboard video, it will affect this greatly, or if I actually need a video card instead of graphics. What do I actually need, and will it adversely affect anything on my PC.

I can provide more information if you want...

Hi

I've just found a bargain of a XFX 8800GTX XXX and the question I have is whether it's compatible with a BFG 8800GTX OC2 in SLi mode?

The XFX card has a central clock of ~4mhz more than the BFG, but I suppose that either downclocking the XFX or overclocking the BFG should solve the problem with different clocks. The rest is the same.

Well, what do you people think?
If you help me out with this I'll become more active in the forum again
THANKS A LOT!

A:Are these cards compatible in SLi?

Hard to say, but I'd expect they wouldn't be compatible in SLI.

Nvidia says that as long as the actual GPU chip is the same model and revision, and the memory is the same, then they should be compatible. However many people have stated that combining different manufacturers cards, regardless of specs, just doesn't jive.

IMO - Unless the cards are 100% identical, you're not guaranteed that it will work.

I'm sure that's not what you really wanted to hear, but it is what it is, I guess. Bottom line, they may work, but don't count on it.

I'm looking into buying a "Rosewill Silicon Image RC-209-EX PCI External e-SATA x2/ Internal SATA x4 1.5G HDD Controller Card" and maybe im just losing it from staying up all night hardware shopping but the pci connector looked odd to me. Researching it I see that it is a Universal pci card, for 2.3 pci, compatible with 33mhz or 66 mhz.

Now my mobo has only 2.2 pci's but as i understand it 2.3 universal cards are backwards compatible with 2.2 slots, and since the card has 33mhz and 66mhz functionality, the only concern would be its voltage, which i do not know, but which seems from my research to be fine either way since 2.2 supports 3.3volts which is what 2.3 pci's are.

just wanted to double check before i shelled out the cash, that this card would probabliy work in my system.

well i just bought it, will let you know how it works

A:PCI 2.2 compatible with PCI 2.3 cards?

Yes, I would expect it to work.

Hi

Recently installed Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Everything works fine except my Belkin F5D5005 v2000 network card.

There are no drivers for it on the Belkin site and none of the older vista drivers work.

Is there a list somewhere of NIC's that are compatible with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit since it looks like I'll need to buy a new one.

The on board network point on my motherboard works fine (realtek NIC on an Asus Fatality fp-in9 SLI mobo) but has been faulty for some time now.

Any advice?

A:PCI Network cards - which are compatible?

Welcome footwo, here's a link but you might want to pick out a model and check the manufacture's website to see if they are posting w7 drivers before you commit.
