Preferred Solution: RUNDLL Error on startup, error loading

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Dell Dimension 8250 running Windows XP.
Here are the details when starting my computer;
1. Start up
2. Select user
3. While my personal settings are loading I get the following error message: Error loading c:\windows\system32\kfyxjtam.dll Access denied
4. Open up Windows Explorer and my home web site loads, but then I notice many other sites attempting to load, this prevents me from going to any other web sites. This continues indefinitely (I think my computers anti-virus keeps it from successfully loading). An example of what attempts to load is ADS.Trasapretty.com
5. I give up and close down my computer.

I am sending this message from work because I cannot access your web site from the problem computer at home, so what ever you suggest will have to be transferred from work to home. Thank you in advance for your help and for your patience.

Can someone help? I have been battling this for a few days. It started out with two errors but now I have it down to the one. I am unable to locate the service/program that is initiating it. I have looked in msconfig as well as the "startup" program and "autoruns".

I have also run multiple times: Adaware, Malwarebytes, SpyBot, RegScrub, McAfee

Here is the HJT: I really hope someone can help. Thanks in advance!

First of all, I see you are running two anti-virus programs, Norton and McAfee. You need to decide which one you're keeping and get rid of the other as they will conflict with each other and can cause problems.

Go here: http://www.derbilk.de/SpSeHjfix112.zip and download 'SpSeHjfix'. to the desktop and then right click a blank part of desktop and select new folder, call it spfix. Unzip the file into that folder

Disconnect from the net and Close ALL OPEN PROGRAMS. Run 'SpSeHjfix'. and click on "Start Disinfection".

When it's finished it will reboot your machine to finish the cleaning process.
The tool creates a log of the fix which will appear in the folder.

If it doesn't find any of the SE files or any hidden reinstallers it will say system clean and not go on to next stage

Now run the Shredder - Hit The FIX button!

Rescan with Hijack This, close all other browser windows, put a check mark beside these entries and the click on "fix checked".

Hello jbeer32,

Please download ComboFix from one of these locations:

NOTE: If you are guest watching this topic. ComboFix is a very powerful tool. The disclaimer clearly states that you should not use it without supervision. There is good reason for this as ComboFix can, and sometimes does, run into conflict on a computer and render it unusable.

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop
Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools.
Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

A:Error Loading Rundll

Hi .

DLCXtime.dll appears to be a file related to a Dell printer.

Do you have a Dell printer...and do you have it set up to run at startup?

FWIW: There's no logical reason why a printer should be running at startup, although most printers install so that the default enables such.

In any case, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the printer if you answered "yes" to my dual question .

Did you recently remove a virus or some malware from your system? If so, have you submitted a log to the HJT Team ( http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/22/virus-trojan-spyware-and-malware-removal-logs/ )Once you come up clean we can likely use the HJT tool to fix this problem.

I've been getting these 4 windows popping up when I turn on my computer for a while, I know I should have taken care of this sooner. The other day I decided to d/l www.finallyfast.com and let it run a scan and it showed up with 101 errors but I didn't buy the software. After downloading this program the 4 windows still came up and so did the finally fast thing to get me and download it. Well today...the 4 windows came up, and nothing else but my computer completely froze. I restarted it several times and still the same problem. (I'm using another computer to post this)

I get 4 windows saying "RUNDLL- Error Loading" and that "The Specified Module Could Not Be Found". The 4 windows had the following links in them:

-C:\PROGRA~l\MYWEBS~1\bar1.bin\M3PLUG\N.DLL

-C:\WWDOWS\system32\higidipe.dll

-c:\windows\systems32\pidezabi.dll

-C:\WINDOWS\system32\zeraked.dll

Those are EXACTLY what they looked like.

I am not very tech savvy but I know the first 2 are malware and a trojan warm. Is there anyone of getting rid of this without having to wipe out everything completely? I've had to do it so many times already.

Also, I know the way to prevent this from happening is to download a virus, spyware, ad-ware, etc, kind of program. Whats a good one to use that takes care of all of that but not costing too much?

Thank you very much in advance.

A:RUNDLL- Error Loading

Hello remove the 4 dll'sI am moving this to Am I Infected for a scan. Its not unusual to receive such an error after using specialized fix tools.A "Cannot find...", "Could not run...", "Error loading... or "specific module could not be found" message is usually related to malware that was set to run at startup but has been deleted. Windows is trying to load this file but cannot locate it since the file was mostly likely removed during an anti-virus or anti-malware scan. However, an associated orphaned registry entry remains and is telling Windows to load the file when you boot up. Since the file no longer exists, Windows will display an error message. You need to remove this registry entry so Windows stops searching for the file when it loads. To resolve this, download Autoruns, search for the related entry and then delete it.Create a new folder on your hard drive called AutoRuns (C:\AutoRuns) and extract (unzip) the file there. (click here if you're not sure how to do this.)Open the folder and double-click on autoruns.exe to launch it.Please be patient as it scans and populates the entries. When done scanning, it will say Ready at the bottom.Scroll through the list and look for a startup entry related to the file(s) in the error message.Right-click on the entry and choose delete.Reboot your computer and see if the startup error returns.Credit to quietman7Next run MBAM (MalwareBytes):NOTE: Before saving MBAM please rename it to zztoy.exe....now save it to your desktop. Please do... PROBLEM: I've got a RUNDLL message box that appears as windows XP is loading and main screen appears.
It says "error loading D0CE0C16B1. the system cannot find the module specified".

NOTE:
After viewing the sticky regarding how to prepare my system for review,
the following steps were taken as suggested.

Operating system for Sony VAIO PCG-V505BL (Laptop) is Windows XP/SP2.
Running updated McAfee Virusscan security center.
Running MIcrospft Anti-spyware (beta1) -No problems found.

STEPS TAKEN:
all updates have been done to windows xp and the following programs with their updates were run.

1. Trend Micro : HouseCall did not find any potential threats on my computer.

2. Ad-aware se found 14 problems which were all removed and rescanned for.

3. Spybot S&D 1.4 found 3 problems which were all removed and rescanned.

4. HIjack this results below.

I attempted to resolve this using other posts so I could be prepared with the info you needed but I was not able to run highjack this it kept giving me an error telling me it had to shut it down. I tried several time and just decided to tell you the problem I am having and perhaps you could lead me in a different direction.

When I restart my computer I get two error messages:

1. Error Loading C:\program'

I hit OK and it goes away until the next time I restart my computer

2. RUNDLL error loading C:\program files\wild tangent\apps\CDA\CDA engine0400.dll. The specific module could not be found.

Once again I hit OK and it goes away until the next time.

I believe the wild tanget one got on there when somehow Weatherbug got downloaded, I removed Weatherbug using uninstall and then removing it from the control panel but now I get these errors.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

The specified module could not be found.

I have checked the above location and the dll does not exist as far as I can tell. I have also checked my start up file to try and locate what is calling that dll and I dont see it anywhere. I have tried autoruns as well and cannot find it there either. Cn you please help me resolve this error message.

Thanks,

In Autoruns, did you look under the Scheduled Tasks tab? Something like SMupdate.job?

Hi and welcome

Download AVG Anti-Spyware from HERE and save that file to your desktop.

When the trial period expires it becomes feature-limited freeware but is still worth keeping as a good on-demand scanner.

Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop and double click it to launch the set up program.
Once the setup is complete you will need run AVG Anti-Spyware and update the definition files.
On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "Update now" link.
Next select the "Start Update" button. The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.

Once the update has completed, select the "Scanner" icon at the top of the screen, then select the "Settings" tab.
Once in the Settings screen click on "Recommended actions" and then select "Quarantine".
Under "Reports"
Select "Automatically generate report after every scan"
Un-Select "Only if threats were found"

Close AVG Anti-Spyware. Do Not run a scan just yet, we will run it in safe mode.
Reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.

IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while AVG Anti-Spyware is scanning as it may interfere with the scanning process:

I have McAfee, Ad-Aware, AVG Free Edition 2011, Malware Bytes, Panda Cloud Free Version, Dell PC Tune Up, and AVG Free Tune Up. I am still getting RUNDLL errors after scanning with all of them. In addition, trojan errors keep popping up every so often and I'm worried that none of my programs are doing a sufficient job of taking care of them. This is the most recent log I took with HijackThis and if you find anything that shouldn't be there please let me know. This service is greatly appreciated!

Im running XP Pro SP3 on my Lenovo 3000 N200 notebook and recently picked up a trojan horse virus which I followed the instructions on this site and was able to remove. Recently though I have started to get a warning when the system has finished booting which says

RUNDLL
Error loading C\Windows\MSHTAS.DLL
THE SPECIFIED MODULE COULD NOT BE FOUND
and below that an OK button

By clicking on OK the message goes away and the running of the computer continues as normal.

I believe that this is a legitimate MS system file but some sites say that it can be used to run malware and should be considered a threat.

I dont want to reload this if indeed it is a threat

I tried a search on here but nothing comes up but as this is only my second post it my be my inability to use the resource correctly.

Some guidance would be much appreciated.

I tried doing a search on 'huhebire' on this site and I wasn't getting anything. So here it goes. Even Google didn't give me much info on it. Seems newish.

I'm not sure how long i've been getting this message during Windows start up. But i've tried every program I can think of, even some that I found during my search on Google to get rid of specific trojan/virus/etc.. files.

NOD32
Adaware Anniversary
Spybot Search and Destroy
Malwarebytes
Exterminate It!
CCleaner

etc...

Everytime they deleted the problematic files, upon start up, they return. Even tried them all in "Safe Mode", which I thought was working, but every single time I was wrong.

CCleaner also shows ''Jakafusu.dll'' that I can't seem to delete with the program.
