I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

If you purchased the system with an onsite warranty (extra cost), yes - it can be transferred. If you did not, you must upgrade to an onsite warranty at extra cost before it can be transferred.
Hi, This laptop has a genuine Windows 10 OS preintsalled. I have installed a Linux OS in external Hard Disk and booting from this laptop. Does it affect my first year free warranty ?

I want a laptop that should have 4 or 3 GB ram and 500 gb hard disk, 1 gb graphic card and i5 processor. I wanted to buy it from dell but I don't know which brand is the best because i use desktop.

Even then, remember that the warranty applies to the country of purchase - you'll have to transfer ownership and warranty when you receive the system.
I had a Dell laptop Inspiron 15 3000 Series (Inrel(R)) - 3543, I purchased it from US. I have sent that laptop to my house in India and it got stolen from there. I launch a Police complaint there with the serial number I got from Dell support team. but now, Police is asking me some mac id (I do not know what it means), so my question is where can I get this id ?

I think that they are referring to the mac address ID of the onboard network card. But we do not have those. All we provide is the service tag number and express service code number. Which are found on the laptop itself and your Dell invoice.Read other 1 answers

Okay so I had bought an alienware alpha on ebay. It worked okay up until a little while ago. I contacted support to try and get it repaired. Was told i needed a warrenty transfer from the previous owner to myself. Its still in warrenty for 35 more days through dell.. I contacted chat and they said they transfered the tag to my name. So then I called support back since the tag was supposdely in my name now. Low and behold right before they were going to order a new mother board for it. The support agent (phone) says that the warrent still was not in my name as I was told before that it was, and that she cant do it unless its in my name. Soo yeah im stumped now.
So again, initially I tried to do the online warranty transfer even though all I know about the person I bought it from is the two invoices that I got from ebay and paypal of the purchase that was a few months ago ( I bought it used originally). I just put that info in but still no response... I emailed the seller and still no response.
The funny thing is that the guy I talked to on live chat said it was all in my name now. Yet when I called in by phone, the lady said that it wasnt letting her submit the request to get the motherboard swapped out. and that it (the previous owners warrenty) was "mostly blank". In terms of how long windows 7 will be support ? You will get support as long as the system is under warranty .
If the system is not under warranty you will still get support however it will be paid.

On my end, I tried using the model as some may not be marketed on some regions using the international warranty look up page. Listed location would include UK and you can call in Lenovo UK 0333-777-3991 for details .

I bought this laptop on ebay new for my mother and had kept it in my closet for a few months. I gave it to her as a gift and a few months later i was watching her use it and noticed she was repeatedly shutting down the laptop and turning it back on, i asked why? She said the internet wouldnt work unless she did that multiple times. So i had a look at it and made sure all of the drivers were installed (they were) and counldnt find out why it was doing it other than a hardware issue (possibly) So i asked her where the warranty was tried to see if i could get hp to take it back, but the warranty said it has expired. She didnt use this thing for a year, i kept it in my closet for months..is there some way hp takes in certain cases and looks past the warranty date? I cant really afford to buy her another nor can she and she is stuck with this thing. The laptop is still in very good condition we just need the internet to work on it. Hey Lenovo, I don't wanna say this but I am having a worst experience with Lenovo Product. There's a saying, first impression is the last impression and lenovo failed it in. Ok let's take a look at my problem and please help me. 2 months ago I buy a Lenovo Ideapad Y700-26ISK from local shop in Pakistan with 1 Year International Warranty. After 1 month my screen start flickering and It end up continuously flickering when I press the power button. See the screenshot below.???I take my laptop to the shop from where I bought it, He says it's the ram problem you have to change the ram. After paying $40 for the single 8GB ram my laptop just work fine for 2 days and then it's start doing that flickering again and after 4 to 5 hours I reopen my laptop, it's just boot for 2 second and then reboot that loop continuously again and again even I cannot see the lenovo logo. Then I take it to the same shop and he says you have claim your warranty and according to him I have to send my laptop from Pakistan to USA for claiming and repairing process which will be $150 and in which he cannot do anything. All I am worry about, is there any service center in Pakistan so i can take my laptop to there to solve my issue because when I buy a laptop I paid additional $50 for 1 Year International warranty. Hi: HP sets the warranty date starting when the PC is shipped to the vendor from the factory. Since I do not work for or represent HP, I do not know why they do this. In any event you can call HP support, and ask them to adjust the warranty start and end dates. You will have to provide them with a copy of the invoice or sales receipt showing the date of purchase. I had to do that too. The customer services rep should send you an e-mail with a link to upload your scanned copy of the proof of purchase. Then in about 3 business days, they will adjust the warranty period accordingly.Read other 1 answers

Hi everyone, Almost a year ago I bought a HP Spectre 360 in the US. Up till now I have been very happy with it, but for pure peace of mind I am trying to extend the warranty in the UK (as I am living here now). HP is telling me that it is not possible. Has someone been in the same situation (i.e. buying in X country and extending warranty in Y country?). Is it possible, if so how did you manage to do it? As a side note, their Support Service Agreement does not state that the computer must have been bought in the country of the warranty extension. Many thanks!
Hi, Thats a difficult situation to begin with. First of. If you are going to call HP Support 1800-474-6836 and you are going to extend your computer's warranty. They will definitely ask you for a credit card number and billing address. Ofcourse if your not within US thats gotta be a problem because they use a tool to process payment which accepts US addresses only. The best thing that you could do if you really insist of getting a warranty is talk to your friends that lives within US and ask them if thy could process the warranty for you and pay them afterwards.
