I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi

There is no "nice" option to disable touchscreen, for what I read you need to disable it from the Windows Device Manager.

It is like: Open Device Manager > expand "Human Interface Devices" > right-click "HID-compliant touch screen" and select "Disable".

Check if you find the correct "Human Interface Devices" to disable. This is how users are disable the touchscreen.

I bought this Yoga 11e (20D9) in December 2014 and Windows 8.1 was installed as default. From last Friday, 29th May 2015, touch screen has stopped responding totally. For six months, there was no fall or damage or even a scratch in / outside of the laptop. After trying all the possible suggestions found in this forum and the other web sites, I have reset it to factory default - fully removed everything and installed Windows. And then all the Windows Updates and also Lenovo Updates completely. Still the touch screen is not working or responsive at all. I think I did all things I can try. Now I am about to claim warranty service.Last Decempber, I decided to buy this Lenovo products which I had believed as the most reliable laptop, but it does not have  that much good quality after all.

I had the same problem.  After performing a clean-install of Windows 10 Pro (Did not like all that blotware that Lenovo puts in these systems) and "thinking" that I had installed all drivers, I found that touchscreen did not work.  I solved it by RE-installing the i2c drivers (downloaded from Yoga 11e support page).  It was confusing because there was nothing in Device Manager that indicated any drivers were missing, plus when I ran the .exe file for the i2c drivers all it did was "extract" the files, but it did not install anything! So here is how I went about it:  Opened device manager, clicked on "system devices" to locate the i2c device.  I looked for anything with "i2c" in it, and saw 2 entries: "Intel Atom Celeron Pentium Processor............i2c........[etc, etc]".  I went ahead and manually installed the drivers: right-clicked the item, clidked "update driver software", clidked "browse my computer for driver software", and navigated to where the driver files had been extracted to-as explained above.  After the drivers were installed successfully, the names of the devices changed to "i2c controller".  Rebooted the computer and VOILA! The touch screen worked again! Opened "control panel", "system" and there it said: "Touch Support With 10 Touch Points"

(Yoga 11e 20D9). The keyboard is very intermittent. The mouse sometimes stops working. Most of the time if I close the lid for several seconds and open it again, it will work. I've opened a support issue. They provided a "new*" keyboard which I installed. Made no difference. Then they recommended that I update all the drivers, etc. and run diagnostics. No problems found. Power management update actually seemed to make Touchpad very flaky. Removed. Now they are saying to take it to a repair center. When I call there, the guy says he's never heard of the problem (even though it's easy to find others with the problem online). He wants to replace the motherboard. Strongly considering just sending it back. (The keyboard wasn't working when I opened it for the very first time out of the box. Then it started working a few minutes later after I rebooted. I thought it was just a peculiarity of these laptop/tablet things. I should have just sent it back before I invested hours in getting the thing all set up.) *new = older than the original one according to date stamp

Hi

I was checking the support site for this model.  Can you check which BIOS version are you using.
On the latest BIOS update readme there is a fix related to the keyboard. I'm not sure if it will help you solve your problem but you can give it a try.

About three months ago, I bought a brand new 11e thinkpad edu series.......It worked perfectly until about the past three weeks, or so when video/audio playback would suddently slow down, and become robotic sounding. The problem is getting worse over time, and the only solution I've found is to reboot the sys, but now I'm having to reboot several times a day sometimes......................any help would be greatly appreciated, as I've tried everything I can think of.

I recently purchased a Yoga 11e 20d9 model and so far I'm loving it.  However, I wanted to upgrade the memory from 4gb to 8gb.  I purchased Crucial 8GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) as all the reviews I read said this was okay to use, however, everytime I install the memory and I try to charge the laptop at the same time it crashes.  I can run windows 10 perfectly without issue up until I try to charge it.  I can charge ther laptop when the laptop is off but for the life of me I can't get it to coexist.  I installed the original ram and everything works perfectly.   Even if I'm in bios, as soon as I plug in the charger the laptop will crash.  It literally has rips on the screen and everything fades out.  As soon as I unplug it, the laptop works flawlessly.   I returned the memory and got a replacement and it does the same exact thing.  I updated both the BIOS and battery firmware.  I am out of ideas.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello everybody! The Thinkpad X1 Yoga (2nd Gen) laptop is offered with 3 types of displays, as described by Lenovo:- 14" WQHD (2560 x 1440) OLED Touch- 14" WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS 10-point Multi-Touch- 14" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS 10-point Multi-TouchSince the OLED version is not labelled as "10-point Multi-Touch", does this mean it only support "1-point" touch? (Or any number less than 10).Also, does the OLED display support Stylus pens? Thank you in advance!

Hey everybody, I just received my P40 last week as a replacement for another Lenovo device. So far, everything seems to work fine with one exception: When I turn the screen over to the "tablet position", the touch screen and the touch pen show erroneous behaviour.a) As soon as I make the first input with the touch pen, I cannot make any further input with my finger, so the touch input is simply turned off. The Windows setting to ignore touch input when the stylus is used is not active.b) When I try to tap buttons at certain areas of the screen, especially at the upper edge, the cursor of the stylus starts jumping around and shows up at the lower edge of the screen. That means that when I for example tap on the "X" symbol in the upper right corner to close a window, I actually click on some of the symbols in the system tray in the lower right corner. This problem stops occuring as soon as the angle between the two case parts (screen and keyboard) reaches/exceeds approx. 40. It does not matter if Windows is in "Tablet" or "Desktop" Mode. I already tried to manually install another Wacom driver mentioned at https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-S-Series-ThinkPad-Yoga/Wacom-Tablet-Service-for-ISD-Driver-Win... and https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-P-and-W-Series-Mobile/P40-Yoga-issues/td-p/3293985. I had no luck trying driver versions 7.3.3.12, 7.3.4.8 and 7.3.4.13. I would really appreciate your help since this issue makes working in the tablet position... Read more

Hello, My Thinkpad Yoga is connected to a large display through ThenkPad docking station.  Its lid is closed.   During my work, from time to time I see random touch clicks on my screen, and random opening of menus.  It is clear that the touch screen is active although the lid is closed.  When I open the lid, and still connected just to the 2nd display (large screen) display the phenomena stops.  Worth noting is that although only the 2nd display shows an image, the laptop touch screen is still sensetive to touch.  This is I guess why the random touches show up on the screen -- it feels the keyboard not fingers. I expect the touch screen to be disabled while the lid is closed or when projecting only to the 2nd screen.  The solution of opening the lid while connected to the docking station is not acceptable.  Lenovo's local support suggestion to disable touch for the Yoga is also not acceptable -- people purchase Yoga to get Touch.   A solution please! Yaron

Hello Dws520Thanks for using the Lenovo forums. Was this the creators update?
If so, have a look on the following post, this should show if your device has been tested with the update yet:
https://support.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/ht503655

From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.==================================================================================Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo! If you find a post helpful and it answers your question, please mark it as an "Accepted Solution"!

As I was using my laptop, a Y50-70 Touch, it turned itself off and now I've been unable to turn it back on at all. When I hit the Power Button it lights up for a second or so, as do the white LED indicator lights on the front of the laptop, but nothing else happens, the keyboard backlights doesn't turn on and there are no other sounds from the laptop, no fans, nothing. It does this with the power cord plugged and the battery in and every other configuration possible, nothing. I'v removed the battery and tried to discharge any additional charge left by holding the power button down for extended periods of time, I've also hit it at least 30 times or more. It doesn't do anything when the battery is put back in. I've tried this multiple times. I've checked every connector and they all seem perfectly fine. Im out of warranty so I can't send it in to be fixed. This laptop has been a disaster, the screen constantly flickers and the hinges are both cracked. I'll never buy another Lenovo.

Hello, I bought a Yoga 700 ISK14 last weekend and after formatting the disk and installing a clean version of Win10 Pro I am experiencing ghost touch problems with the screen. A short investigation into the problem via this board lead me to the conclusion that I am by far not the only one with this problem and that back in march this year lenovo promised to release an official fix for this problem. Questions:1) Is this official fix available as of now and where can I find it?2) How can I find out if I have a LG screen so that I can apply the "unofficial" Yoga 3 14 ghost touch fix? Thanks, David

Hello all, I have a brand new X1 Yoga (20FQ000RUS) with a fresh installation of windows 10 enterprise x64 on it which does not respond to any touch functionality, and gives an error of "A supported tablet was not found on the system" when I try to do the wintab driver installation with the lenovo installer. My device manager has the following entries in the Human Interface Devices section:-GPIO Laptop or Slate Indicator Driver-HID PCI Minidriver for ISS-HID PCI Minidriver for ISS-HID PCI Minidriver for ISS And the following entries in the Sensors section:-HID Sensor Collection V2-HID Sensor Collection V2-HID Sensor Collection V2-Sdo Sensor V2 Can anyone tell me what these sections contain on their functioning setups, as well as the "Location" information of their Wacom device (or whatever it's listed as)? If I manually set one of the HID sensors or minidrivers to the Wacom driver, devices for the pen etc show up as well but I still have no touch capabilities. As a side note, I ran the lenovo hardware tests via the LSC and got a failure of the "USB test" (result code WMB01B008-WL7XEL) for which I have submitted an eticket. Is this potentially the cause of the touchscreen failure? It seems like it could be a separate issue. Thanks for the help!

Hi Msbenz,

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.

Open your Start menu (or press the Windows Key) and simply type ?Services?. There will be an icon at the top of your list which appears to be two small gears with the name ?Services.? Click that and look what happens next.
there is a permanent fix for this issue by disabling the service called ?TabletServicePen? if you?re using an Intuos/Bamboo or ?Tablet PC Input Service? if you?re using a Cintiq.

In some case, it is reported removal of the wacom touch drivers fixed the problem. That would be under device manager.

If you have a persisting issue after the updates of the drivers and would also have same error codes from the online diagnostics, then best to call Lenovo service center for recommendations.

Please let me know your findings.

Regards,
Shashi

Hello, I purchased a U310 Touch about 15 months ago that is no longer under warranty. Every time I try and boot the machine I receive no response from the machine. The power light turns on, the fan spins, the HDD turns on but the screen never displays anything. Even when I close the clamshell the machines power button stays lit and won't shut off unless I kill the power by holding down the power button. My troubleshooting steps have been:Reset RAMUnplug battery from motherboardWait for battery to completely drainBoot with HDMI monitor to see if anything displays (nothing would, so LCD panel should be good) With all of these, I cant get the machine to fully function. It feels like the machine is in total sleep mode, I feel like it needs a new motherboard. With my experience with lenovo I feel like this will be the last machine I ever purchase from them, this is unacceptable for a laptop of this age.  Does anyone have any similar situations? If so did you purchase a new motherboard and was it good to go? I'm very comfortable with ripping machines apart since I used to work on a help desk. I would hate to spend $100 on a part and waste all that time if it wont fix the issue.  Any help is greatly appreciated.Thank you.

For the past several weeks, I've been noticing touch points stuck to the left side of my X1 Yoga's screen. I have the graphical touch feedback turned on in Windows - the thing that makes circles appear where you touch the screen - and I see these circles at various points along the left side of the screen. Here are some symptoms I've seen:If I move my finger over them, they sometimes go away. One in the bottom left doesn't go away until I shut down and turn the system back on. A restart doesn't always fix it.They sometimes appear without me touching the screen, but seem to appear more frequently when I am using the stylus or touch (I use OneNote for notes). When they appear, touch does not work anywhere else on the screen, but the stylus does. I can use the cursor, but it flashes (dozens of times per second) between the stuck touch point and it's true location on the screen. Clicking will click in the proper place, not the stuck touch point. This issue is becoming unbearable. I'm past the return date on the machine, so my only option is servicing if I can't fix it in software. Is anyone else seeing this behavior? Have you fixed it?

A:Yoga 13 with with windows 7 - Keep touch working?

I did this to a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro: There should be up to three folders to look for in the root of the hard drive. SWTOOLS - Has a lot of the additional software driven components, Drivers - The factory default driver set (many of which will work in Windows 7), and an additional SW***** (something, can't recall of the top of my head). Back up these three folders on an external drive of some kind. Copy the factory restore items off as well, just in case to an external.Next, create the QDrive or Factory Restore disks for the machine. If you don't like Windows 7, at least this way you can get back to 8/8.1.The next is really up to how you want to install Windows 7. I used the ImageX approach, creating a Windows 7 Ultimate source machine with all of the software, drivers, and applications installed. I generalized that machine, captured out the Windows 7 build (which had all of those folders we copied from above). I then used the ImageX Apply method to put that generalized .wim image to the Lenovo.I had to put the BIOS into Legacy mode, and enable USB Boot. I booted from a WinPE 3.1 environment using a bootable USB I created for Enterprise deployments.Notice, I am skipping a LOT of details. Like what is a WinPE, how to make one, what is a .wim file and how to handle the boot partitions. If you are technical savvy you can save a lot of hassle and get Windows 7 onto the machine. If not, skip the whole ImageX and try to boot from an install DVD and do the build up from the externa... I too checked device manager and found there are 2 human interface device drivers with exclamation points, named I2c HID. A search found Intel device drivers on Lenovo support site and  I downloaded and installed the drivers (n15hc03w.exe). The status of the drivers on device manager did not change. I tried to update these drivers and pointed to the local folder drivers\win\I2C onbut got a message saying "drivers for device are up to date' . Tried 'scan for hardware' still no change to these Human Interface Device. Any ideas?

A:Yoga 11e Touch Screen not working

Dear Community, I bought my Yoga 920 this week and comming from an 2011 MacBook Air, I'm really struggling with the trackpad clicking everytime I tap a little too hard (in the normal motion of moving the scroll across the screen.I searched everywhere in my computer and over Google, and can't find a way to turn off this feature. I've seen that Lenovo's older models with Synaptics drivers have the option to disable tapping over the mouse's hardware proprieties, but that's not the case for this model (I can't even find a driver for this trackpad). Any ideas on how to disable this trackpad tapping? Much appreciated.

Our Yoga has totally and completely stopped responding to touchscreen inputs. Completely out of the blue, no warning signs. Don't know if it was recently after a Win10 update. No other problems with the computer. I've tried updating all HID drivers through Device Manager with no success either. Any suggestions for what to check before we call it a hardware failure and try to either replace the screen or the laptop?

After turning on my 910 and useing the touch screen for awhile it usually always stops working on me. Say I want to pause a YouTube video or click an Internet link, when I touch the screen it only registers that touch as the right click of the mouse. Hopefully that makes sense, when I try to touch what I want on the screen it brings up the right click options menu.  When I restart my computer it stops this problem but it eventually comes back again.

My X1 Yoga's touch screen is not being detected by Windows. I tried running the Wacom firmware update tools suggested by other threads but they don't work -- the log file just says "No device". Neither finger touch nor pen work at all. I updated the bios and system interface foundation, didn't help. See attached picture for device manager. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've had no problems with my yoga 2 pro for over a month, but last night I decided to do windows updates.  This is the model with the i7, and 8gb of ram.  I let it update and then restarted it.  After it started up, I tried to swipe the cover screen up, but nothing was happening.  I then decided to use the mouse, and soon realized that the touch screen was unresponsive.  I've tried to restore the computer to before the updates, but it hasn't fixed the problem.  I can still switch to tablet and stand mode, etc. and the screen will rotate, but I can not get the touch screen to respond to anything.  I tried to install some drivers, but none of them are for the touch screen as far as I know, and nothing else seems to work.  Does anyone know a fix, or maybe know of a driver I need to install?

I am having continued problems with the so-called "ghost touches" on my brand new Yoga 700. And I would add that this is the second brand new one I have had, as I had to return the first one due to a significant hardware problem.  I have seen this problem discussed with respect to the Yoga 3, and I saw a proposed solution, which had something to do with updating the firmware. I did that, but the problem persists. Any help would be much appreciated. For what it's worth, the ghost touches do not appear unless I have had my laptop open for a little while (at least an hour, typically). Thanks

Hi, My screen suddenly stopped working as touch screen (it works in normal mode with the screen and the touchpad). The first times I restarted the computer several times until it worked, also to connect to the network seemed to help; however this time didn't do the trick. I used Lenovo Solution Center, and it didn't show any problem. I checked and updated the drivers in the Lenovo Yoga Mode Control and it seems I'm up-to-date. Now it doesn't want to change to tablet mode automatically anymore, neither to switch the screen to portrait. Thanks in advance for the help.
