Computer restarted unexpectedly windows installation cannot proceed

Q: Computer restarted unexpectedly windows installation cannot proceed

Completed a fresh install, formatted, windows 7 home premium all is fine until it goes to start services (setup is starting services) then the screen flickers and I get the message. "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation"

This then becomes and endless loop, I have started again delete partitions format let windows do it all and the same result, tried safe mode - no go tried repair no go searched internet for help tried some of that stuff with dos prompt- still no go.

Tested Hard drive with windows - no issues, tested with third party software no problems

Laptop originally come with Win7 and even tried to cheat and install xp but that also failed, thought if I could get xp on I could upgrade - but failed.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: Computer restarted unexpectedly windows installation cannot proceed

You are deleting all partitions during the booted install to get it cleanest, and following the other steps for a Clean Reinstall Windows 7? Those steps assure you'll get and keep a perfect install.

If after doing those proper preparations it still hangs Starting Services, then first try entering Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation to disable any erroring drivers shown there, and if that doesn't help try new installation media as discussed in Step 1 of tutorial

Hello. I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this topic but I think it is.

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows 7. Recently I made the decision to restore my system to "out-of-the-factory" settings using the Toshiba program that came with the computer to do this. This went well.

when this was done, the computer restarted, and after the normal start-up screen, it began installing windows.

About halfway through this process, my brother decided it would be funny to turn off the computer in the middle of the installation.

when I turned the computer back on, it went to the windows installation again, but very soon an error message came up saying

"the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."

However, after pressing OK, the computer restarts, but the same error message comes up, leaving me in a loop.

So is there anything I can do to fix this? Or does my brother owe me a new computer?

Btw I don't care about losing data, I have everythign backed-up on an external hard drive.

A:"Computer restarted unexpectedly....windows installation cannot proceed" installation loop.

I think you need to reformat C: (delete the partition) and (redo partition) using ntfs drive and restart the installation. Do you have a OS Windows Disk?

Hi. I was previously using windows 7 home premium 64 bit on my computer. The computer worked for around 2 years and one day suddenly went BSOD on me, with various problems from disk read errors to "video driver failed to initalize". After my roommate tried all the system recovery options (which all failed), he decided to use his recovery disk to do a factory reset of the computer (it's his computer). This got rid of most of the problems, with the exception of disk read errors from time to time. However, during the setup of the computer, we got the "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unpexted error. Windows installation cannot proceed." error, which just leaves us in an infinite loop (unless we get a disk read error). Windows 7 came pre-installed with the computer, so we dont have any installation discs. The only disc we have is a recovery disk that lets us get to the system recovery options. The computer was a plug-in-and-use computer meaning that we dont know much about the system specs other than the sticker that came on the side . I included it in case anyone is intrested in it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I just bought a Dell XPS 8500 a few months ago and recently wanted to do a clean install of Windows 8.  I have two Windows 8 USB drives.  One is a Windows 8 Pro that I bought and the other is a Windows 8 standard that came from Dell.

I only have one MSATA SSD drive installed in the machine.

When I try to do a clean install, all the steps works fine.  It proceeds fine to the last step where it copies all the files.  Then, it will give me a 10 second count down timer and restart the machine.  After the restart, I get the following error message:

The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error.  Windows installation cannot proceed.  To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.
?
When I click OK, the computer restarts itself and I get the same error message again.  It's like an infinite boot loop.  I have also tried the following:

Install Windows 8 Pro upgrade USB drive, same results
Install Windows 8 standard Dell USB drive, same results
Install Windows 8 standard Dell DVD ROM drive, same results

I've also tried all of the steps above with a 300gb SATA HDD that I have.  Unfortunately, same results.  I've also completely powered down the system and waited about 20 seconds.  When it starts up, it gives me the same error message again.

Also, the BIOS settings are all set to default.  The BIOS boot mode is set to UE... Read more

Hi funkmasterta,
I will suggest you to check the BIOS settings provided below to see if you have similar settings. If not you may try these settings and then install the operating system.

Go to the BIOS screen by pressing F2 at the Dell logo 4-5 times.
Navigate to ‘Advanced Tab’ and select ‘Onboard Device Configuration’.
Set ‘SATA Mode’ to ‘AHCI’.
Navigate to ‘Boot’ tab and set ‘Secure Boot’ to ‘Enable’ and ‘Load Legacy OPROM’ to ‘Disable’.
Boot Mode should be set to ‘UEFI’.
Save the settings and Exit from the BIOS.

Once the system restarts, Go to the ‘One Time Boot Menu’ by pressing F12 at the Dell logo 6-7 times.
Select the boot device under UEFI to boot.
Keep me posted with the results. I will be glad to assist you further.

If i could get the desktop to stay up longer i could probably fix it. How could i get the desktop to stay up longer? or how could i manually restart the vista instillation with no disc?

I recently purchase a new Toshiba laptop, with Windows 7 OS and only about a week later, this message popped up during a reboot. I was applying a "windows update" and the computer was stuck at "setup is starting services" and then it pops up a message saying "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." All other forums explain something about Windows 7 being installed, but I wasn't in the process of installing the operating system, it was only an update. Every time I click "OK" on the message, it restarts the computer but stops at the same message, and over and over again. I'm not really sure what I should do. Some sites say to get a CD and run an install of it, but my computer came with the operating system preloaded and not with a CD, so I don't have direct access to a Windows 7 installation disc. bump===========Hello While we understand your frustration at having to wait, please note that Bleeping Computer deals with several hundred requests for assistance such as yours on a daily basis. As a result, our backlog is quite large as are other comparable sites that help others with malware issues. Although our MRT Team members work on hundreds of requests each day, they are all volunteers who work logs when they can and are able to do so. No one is paid by Bleeping Computer for their assistance to our members.Further, our malware removal staff is comprised of team members with various levels of skill and expertise to deal with thousands of malware variants, some more complex than others. Although we try to take DDS/HJT logs in order (starting with the oldest), it is often the skill level of the particular helper and sometimes the operating system that dictates which logs get selected first. Some infections are more complicated than others and require a higher skill level to remove. Without that skill level attempted removal could result in disastrous results. In other instances, the helper may not be familiar with the operating system that you are using, since they use another. In either case, neither of us want someone to assist you who is not familiar with your issue and attempt to fix it.We ask that once you have posted your log and are waiting, please DO NOT "bump" your thread or make further replies until it has been responded to by a member of the MRT Team... Simple solution found for Dual Boot errors!

Here is an update. Since no one else has seemed to find a solution I actually managed to find my own. Just to recap you on what had happened to me, I was trying to dual boot Windows 7 x64 with Windows Vista Ultimate x64. Somewhere in my use with Vista my BCD was corrupt/deleted and caused this error to appear. (Windows could not update your computer's boot configuration.) After searching my computer I found the registry settings were correct, and file access to the folder that contained the BCD was correct, However my BCD was corrupt/missing and so I was unable to finish the installation and get my computer to dual boot. I found this out by typing bcdedit.exe in command with admin access and it gave me the warning "BCDedit.exe could not be run. BCD is either corrupt or missing".

In order to fix this it was quite simple. I had to use the original installation disc for vista to repair my computer's boot files. Unfortunately I didnt have an install disc that would work with vista since I purchased mine before SP1 came out, so in order to repair it I had to create a slipstream disc with the SP1 updates added to it. after repairing I instantly was able to see both Windows 7 and Windows Vista in my boot manager when I restarted my computer. I easily fixed and finished installation with out a hitch, and I'm now staring at internet explorer inside of Windows 7 typing this message. I hope this will help anyone else ou... Read more

I was in Real Player getting ready to burn a CD and all of a sudden my computer restarted. When it re-booted, I had to selected either Normal or Recovery Console, and I selected Normal, which led to my computer just being "stuck". I manually shut it off and restarted, and this time I had a message saying that Windows unexpectedly shut down the last time it was open, and I could choose to either start from the "last known good configuration" or start normally (along with the options to start in Safe Mode).

I selected Last Known Good Configuration, and after the Welcome to Windows XP screen came on with the progress bar underneath, the same thing happened - it restarted and I was back to the last menu option. This time, I selected "Start Normally" and the computer was just "stuck".

Now, I can open my computer in Safe Mode, though I don't think I can access the internet through Safe Mode (I tried to use Safe Mode with networking but my internet wouldn't connect), so I'm currently using my wife's laptop to post this. I have no idea where to even start. I was going to delete Real Player but I honestly don't think that that was the problem.

Is this malware or a virus? Nothing at all had been acting strange recently; I would have no way of even suspecting anything was wrong from a malware/virus standpoint.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

As i have purchased an old laptop, the seller didn't had the original windows XP CD which came with the laptop.

This is what it says exactly-

Windows File Protection

Windows Files must be installed for your installation to proceed

Insert your Windows XP Professional CD-Rom Now.

There are three choices- Retry, More Information. Cancel

I have also used 2 methods suggested by Microsoft but that didnt worked. Here are the solutions prescribed by Microsoft-

Please help as without printer installation, my work is getting affected.

A:Windows Files must be installed for your installation to proceed

I believe the only way around is to get a Windows XP CD - Home or Professional - depending on what you have installed. It doesn't have to be the one that came with the laptop though so if you have a friend you can borrow one from it should work fine.

Decide to install the 90 day trial of Windows 8, got through all the installing and then the computer restarted and asked which operating system I wanted to use, clicked on Windows 8 and then it took me to a screen which said 'Getting ready' with a spinning circle and then the laptop restarted its self and now when it loads up it comes up with the message 'The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered and unexpected error. Windows installation cannot process. To install Windows, click "Ok" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.'
I press ok and then the computer restarts, and then brings me back to this page. I'm using a HP pavillion G6 and was on Windows 7 Home Premium which was pre-installed on the laptop.
I can't enter safe mode to try and fix it that way as when I press F8 nothing happens. I have access to other computers but I just don't know where to start in fixing it.

Hi All,

My computer is restarting without any reasons. I thought it was some booting / OS problem. But I kept my PC in BIOS setup mode for a while, then also its restarting. What could be the problem. Is there anything to do with the power supply like low voltage / variation which is always damaging my hardware or something else. I had been facing this from the first year(every six months).Last year I brought a APC ups , but the problem has not been solved. My computer is five years old now. When I encounter this problem, i remove the motherboard and give it for service. he(technician) usually tells that some condenser went off and he replaces that(not sure what he does, but works after that). I just want to understand why is this happenning frequently. Or something else is wrong.

I have a APC ups, a stabilizer from the source.

Configuration : PIII 500,256MB,80GB , Windows XP, Onboard AGP card.

A:Machine getting restarted unexpectedly

The problem certainly appears to be hardware if it occurs in the BIOS as well.

There are many motherboards in computers affected by bad capacitors, it sounds like yours may be one. Only replacing all the electrolytic capacitors will solve it in that case. That may cost more than the motherboard replacement would cost...

For the past two weeks, I've been unable to open certain programs. AIM, MSMessenger, Internet Explorer and such. As of yesterday, I am now unable to even search files on my computer through the search companion and wasn't able to open Windows Media Player. I updated Windows Media Player and it opens now but the other things are still troubled. There are other Windows functions that I can't seem to run as well. I never receive an error message onscreen, but when looking in the Event Viewer I've noticed one stating "The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted." and another saying "WMI ADAP was unable to process the performance libraries: 0x80041001". It was also popping up my nforce control panel icon which wasn't there before and that also wasn't working. It would pop up an error for that one stating an issue with SndStorm.exe and that it had to close. I managed to fix the nForce issue by updating to unified drivers, but am boggled by the rest. I used HijackThis to see if there's something else that I'm just missing. Thanks in advance!

Hi

According to the hijack this logfile:

you have antivirus personal edition
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [avgnt] "C:\Program Files\AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic\avgnt.exe" /min

you have norton antivirus
O23 - Service: Norton AntiVirus Auto Protect Service (navapsvc) - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe

you have kasperski (although it is missing)
O23 - Service: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 (AVP) - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0\avp.exe" -r (file missing)

Either:
1 - you have more than one antivirus
If you examine the documentation for your antivirus, I think you will find that only 1 antivirus can be used at a time, you should decide which one you want to use and remove the others using their uninstall programs, then for good measure, re-install the one you want to keep. You need to be sure that the uninstall from the others does not "break" your chosen anti virus.

or

2- you have a virus or worm or trojan that is pretending to be one of these antiviruses
Post your HJT log in the "security" forum if you suspect this is the case. the security experts will see your post sooner.

Best regards,

Murray

Hi,
I recently started to get a problem with my explorer.exe. It keeps on restarting occasionally like once every 15 minutes or if i click on my computer, control panel or anything that is directly related to the explorer. Initially before i started getting this problem i was dual booting linux and vista. I decided to uninstall Linux and i did. But now i was left with an empty partition and i have a program called Paragon partition manager and after using the program i was able to make a huge partition and so i uninstalled Paragon partition manager. Since then i restarted the computer and started getting this problem. I initially thought it was a virus so i downloaded kaspersky's trail version and found about 8 files that were infected and i also ran scans using spybot and ewido and the system looks to be clean. But i still have the explorer starting error.

Here is what my Event viewer shows when explorer restarts.

It doesn't seem to matter what I am doing, even just my desktop, while clicking Start! Quite a variety of things are being done when it happens. Sometimes not for a week, other times, a few times a day???

I took the subject line from: the event viewer. Not a clue what to do???

Immediately when my computer boots, it begins this cycle of explorer crashing and restarting.

The area of the screen where the task bar and start button are goes white for a second and then they reappear.

I've opened the event viewer and this error is coming up roughly every nine seconds:
The shell stopped unexpectedly and explorer.exe was restarted.

I've run PrevX. It found nothing.
I'm running SuperAntiSpyWare for the second time. The first time it found a few items, and I deleted and restarted. It's still happening.
I'm also currently running the MS Malicious Software Removal Tool & MalWareBytes.

So far... none of these programs is finding anything.

I would really appreciate any guidance... My computer is pretty much unusable right now.

In the event viewer i get the feedback 'The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted' and it is also winlogon.exe related. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have xp pro sp3 installed in my pc and just yesterday I've encountered problems.

- XP will stall on the welcome page and my cursor would hang. No hdd activity since the hdd LED on my case doesn't show any light anymore.

- If I reboot after the win splash screen it goes to chckdsk automatically. If I allow chkdsk to proceed it hangs at 7 percent of verifying files at stage 2 of 3.

- Even if I leave the pc for 3 hours the 7 percent has not changed and the LED lamp of my hdd is off, indicating no activity.

- I've attempted several times inserting my XP installer cd, but then it seems to hang at the point wherein it says "Windows is starting up" but then even if I leave the pc alone for a couple of hours the screen is still showing the same starting up part. Again the LED lamp is dead hence no hdd activity again.

- I've tried doing this several TIMES TO NO AVAIL.

- I have no backups of the files in my hdd, hence I just can't reformat my hdd right away.

- I also don't have a spare pc at home or nearby that I can use to back up my hdd. I do have a Vaio, but after upgrading to win7 recently, the hdd on that laptop has been locked out. It seems my upgrade was faulty somewhere. This though is another issue that i would have to post anew.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Ok here is the scoop:
I currently have a laptop running Win 7 x64 and I also have a desktop. This desktop, has a blank HDD. This desktop also has no optical CD/DVD drive installed currently. This means then that I must use a pendrive formatted to FAT (NOT FAT32 or NTSC) because this build is quite old but still has good hardware. I downloaded the official x64 Win7 Ultimate .iso file from microsoft. I now have two problems:

1)Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool says that the OFFICIAL .iso file is invalid and wont let me create a bootable usb stick. This I resolved by doing it manually using the program PowerISO to extract the files to the FAT formatted usb drive

2)It works... well sort of, I get to the "Install Now" screen and click that. Setup begins. The first screen i am faced with says that it is missing CD/DVD drivers with the error message "A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. ". My question is WHAT DRIVERS?!, there is no CD/DVD drive and the setup wont let me past until I pick one.

For #2 I've read a couple threads and they said to switch from SATA to AHCI. Unfortunately i am unable to do this because my BIOS is Phoenic -AwardBIOS. Can somebody please tell me what i need to do because I am completely stumped.

EDIT: FYI the HDD is very old but still in working order

Hello All

My SONY VAIO VPCEB15FX laptop has been getting the S.M.A.R.T failures. I checked with SONY and since my laptop is more than 12 months old - could not get them to help me with this issue without paying (laptop started having issues exactly after 15 months- not so good for a branded laptop). So i thought i will try to handle this myself, created the recovery discs, repair disk and backed up all the data in 15 DVDs. I bought a WD Scorpio Blue hard drive (WD5000BPVT - Advanced Format Drive) and replaced the same in my laptop and started off with the recovery discs. I chose to restore complete system and it proceeded. Once it completed the process - the system restarted and the OS Setup began - now comes the issue. When the setup started it throws this error "Windows setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's Hardware"

I ordered the SONY recovery discs - repeated the above RESTORE process - but still facing the same error

Hi,

as my PC always got locked after some 10minutes (surfing on the net, Ms office use,...) I finally decided to reinstall Windows and made a recovery installation disk. Indeed, removing all software (office, Chrome,...) and reinstall it did not solve anything
I reinstalled it and noted the installation was very slow indeed (hours) until it stopped at step 47 out of 47. Waiting again for sooo long for step 47 to finish, it did not move on at all.

I restarted but then was asked by WIndows7 for an administrator password. How can I know, I did not create any user.

So restarted in safe mode where I could create a user with administrator rights (if did not create a pasword for it)
Then I could log on, but it brought me again immediately to the Toshiba Leading Innovation screen on top of windows again getting stuck again at step 47/47. No move at all again.

I then decided to lower the safety level to the lowest level as to "when software is installed you are not asked for authorisation".
Indeed, step 47 then finishes.
But then I get another installation step with comment "De systeemprestaties worden nu geclassificeerd". This is the dutch text meaning "Systemprestations are now classfied".
I progresses somewhat but after some 10 seconds, it stops and the progress bar does not continue anymore. Waiting hours does not help and sometimes windows automatically restarts. It starts again with executing step 47 out of 47, going back to "Systemprest... Read more

Hmmmm.... it is not easy to say what is wrong there.
Which notebook model do you have?
If I understand you right you didn’t create recovery media (DVD or USB), right?

Usually recovery image installation should do the job, except there is some problem with recovery image or HDD. I have installed recovery image many times and cannot imagine what else could be the problem.

Stupid thing is that you didn’t create recovery disc and you are not able to test it now using such discs. You are not able to test it with new HDD now because you don't have the recovery discs.
You know what; the problem is that there is no some kind of workaround. Either it works or not.

I really don't know what to say now. All you can try is to set BIOS to default settings and try again.
Please do it and send some feedback.

Long story. My work computer crashed recently and just got it back today. I updated my main quoting tool which is 2020 worksheet and the computer after the update said I had to restart my laptop. I closed all of my programs on the laptop and the. Restarted the computer. Instead of opening the regular welcome screen in which I would normally log into, it took me to a screen in which to select a language setting for a windows 7 installation. I had used the laptop previously to this for several hours but trying to close the screen causesd my computer to restart and brought me back to the same screen. Any ideas? Why would it do this?

A:Help please!!!!!! Restarted while installation

Are you doing an in-place Upgrade or clean install?

Are you continuiing to "press any key to boot from DVD" during restart? If so, don't do it again after the very first time you boot install DVD.

Please fill out your system specs in lower left corner.

Are you using the latest BIOS versions update? Check against the latest update given on your computer or mobo model's Support Downloads webpage on manufacturer's website.

In BIOS, what is SATA controller set to? Try AHCI first, then IDE if that fails.

I got a new laptop with Windows 7 and was transferring the files from my desktop computer over to it using Windows Easy Transfer over the wireless network. The transfer of the files was done, but it still had the shared files to get through, which according to the estimated time was going to take another 10 or so hours (200 + gb of files). I let it do that while I slept.

When I got up the next day, I saw the laptop was at the log on screen. Turned out it had automatically updated itself during the early morning. The old desktop computer's WET window said "attempting to re-connect" or something.

Anyway, it seems like most if not all of the files I wanted have been transferred over anyway, but I'm afraid that the broken transfer may have screwed up my originally brand new and pristine Windows 7 and laptop. Windows Live Messenger seems to keep getting an error now when Windows boots up. And there's a few folders that I can't access (they have a lock symbol next to them)

Please help! Thanks in advance!

A:Computer restarted during Windows Easy Transfer HELP!

most likely you will have to take ownership of some files you cannot access at this time. see the following

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...menu-in-vista/

if you had xp on the old computer (going by your profile) then some settings just may not work in win7 so you may need to manually do some adjusting.

as far as the error, we will need the exact error message.

You can always do a system restore point to a previously save restore point and try again.

I had to restart a computer on our office network which uses Windows XP on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Now I cannot access a file on a computer which uses Windows 8 unless I tell the Windows 8 computer to let EVERYONE access the file - which I don't want to do. A computer using Windows Vista on the same network has had no problems. I've created a new username on the Windows 8 computer and given the problem computer that name but still no access. I've enabled read/write file sharing and given the problem computer full access permissions but still can't get in. I removed all Microsoft updates that had been installed four days before the problem occurred on the Windows 8 computer and recovered the Windows XP system to the day before the problem occurred - still can't get in. Any ideas out there?

A:Restarted XP Computer, Now Cannot Access File on Windows 8

That would be correct. Or you would need to go into Advanced Sharing options on the Windows 8 machine and downgrade the security setting from 128 to 48/56. I always create a local user account on Windows 8 machines, if I am going to be sharing stuff across the network.

Otherwise it all goes on the NAS for our network, or a Own Cloud server that my brother hosts for the family. Then I never have to worry about networked computer share issues.

I am installing Windows 7. I deleted all partitions during the install setup and created a new one for Windows to install on (plus the 100MB partition it created itself). The installation seems to go fine until the "completing installation" phase. The computer reboots and the Windows 7 desktop appears but an error window pops up that says "The system unexpectedly rebooted during the installation. The installation can not be completed." It also tells me to restart the installation (which I've done several times with the same result each time).

I know that the system meets (actually exceeds) the minimum requirements. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or what could be causing this problem?

Try rebooting in safe mode. If sucessful it might be your video driver.

My father has his own desktop that he uses daily for checking work emails and playing games. He has a bad habit of falling for "You must update ______!" ads, and downloading harmful products.
He tried to uninstall anything malicious, but today I found a "Searchqu Toolbar" installed. He has been having problems reaching various websites that work perfectly fine on any of our other computers. And earlier this week, his IE 11 became completely unusable, showing a white blank screen and no text on any toolbar buttons. (This I fixed by reinstalling and resetting IE)
He is still mysteriously unable to reach various sites, and gets frequent ads to more viruses (DomaIQ is particularlly frequent). We've run Kapersky full scans and updates many times to no results, so I'm not quite sure what to do next.
He is on Win7 x64, and prefers to use IE but has the same problems in Chrome too.

A:My dads computer may have been infected. Not sure how to proceed

Hello nbadal -
Your dad has downloaded the latest type of advertising garbage (add-ons).
These have been included with a program or just a page that was visited -

First we can check that the system is generally OK and then look for the specific item.

First -
Please download and run RKill by Grinler. A black DOS box will briefly flash and then disappear.
This is normal and indicates the tool ran successfully. At worst the tool will run for about 2 minutes
