Q: Warranty issue

I have a T450 Laptop. There is a mark on my screen and it is a white dot which is a problem with my display screen itself. I spoke to Lenovo repair as its under the extended warranty scheme. I was under the impression it would be picked up or fixed on site as it states in the warranty. However, the repair centre wanted pics which I sent but these were not good enough! I paid a small fortune for my laptop thinking Lenovo had the best warranty on the planet. This is clearly not the case. Be aware it is not as good as Lenovo states. Anyone else been let down by the warranty???

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

sir service engineer told me that your ram socket burns due to heat or power fluctuation  and so we have to change your motherboard for that and this is not covered in your warranty. i have adp warranty .So can i arugu with them in these conditions  ?Is warranty doesnot cover issue due to power fluctuation , which cover accidental protection, too ?

I bought a brand new Lenovo ideapad 305 from Argos. It has buzzing noise since I bought it. Called the Lenovo support centre in UK and the lady told me politely it is better if I take it back to Argos and they will help me. So I did that. The problem is, that Argos is really noise, of course we couldn't hear the noise as it is not that loud, but I am pretty sure, there is some problem. The lady told me she cannot do anything as we can't hear anything. Not the noise why I am woirred about. I am worried about the impact that can happen in the future, and maybe it will be after my warranty is expired. So my question is, why do I have a bloody warranty for the laptop if noone lift even a finger to help me? Is anyone had problem with Lenovo warranty or customer service?

I am really unhappy with hp warranty services i have recently bought a hp pavillion notebook due to some reason my windows got corrupted and now service center is asking me to order a recovery disk py paying money even though it is not a hardware issueI have to pay extra 1000 rs bucks to order the recovery disc even though my laptop is underwarranty . I purchased HP23-Q105NA on 15/1/17. HP support has informed me that the warranty expired on 15/01/17. I have following the instructions to dispute the warranty but the DISPUTE THIS link is not available to select. How can I resolve this?

Apparantly, if your Lenovo purchase is out of warranty,  online support, of any kind,  is unavialble. On the contact page I entered serial number xxxxxxx (12/02) and was told my Thinkpad is out warranty, something I knew in June. Does this mean that online contact with Lenovo is unavialable? The only contact option on that page is the forum...so hello.
 
I've been bouncing back and forth between Staple and Lenovo for a couple of months now regarding a Thinkpad purchased this year. I recently sent the following note Staples, who again forwarded me to Lenovo Support, and who, as explained, is unavailable. 
 
I purchased a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad in mid February. I purchasedthis computer based on what I could afford and past experience with both
Staples and Lenovo. The computer failed in June, one month beyond itswarranty period. The local Staples store told me they are unwilling torepair it.
It should be clear to a reasonable consumer, or vendor, that a $400dollar product, carefully used, should not be rendered worthless withina 4 month period,..without consideration. Is this what Staples hasbecome? If it has, why would I remain a customer?
I expected more from Staples and Lenovo, warranty, or no warranty.
 
As stated, I expect more of a global brand and its vendors, regarding a computer or a lawnmower, warranty or no warranty.

Hi: Contact HP technical support for the country you live in at the link below. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html Explain the situation to the customer services rep. They will send you a link or to upload a copy of your invoice or sales receipt showing the date of purchase, and they will adjust the warranty start and end dates accordingly. I had to do the same thing, and they fixed the warranty start and end dates within 3 business days.

I bought the Chromebook N22 in October 2016. It stopped working in May. I called to get info on returning it, it is under warranty for 45 more days. However I was told that I would have to cover the shipping charge. I am very unhappy about this. Or I can purchase a warranty coverage charge for $34 from them! I am dissapointed that I could not get prepaid shipping as it is under warranty still. I purchased 3 of these machines at the same time. The Chromebook did not last very long. I am a bit concerned now about the other 2 I purchased and the cost of shipping to return the product that will not even turn on.Just wanted to inform others, I was not told this when I purchased it and was told how good the warranty was.Thank you

Hi! I bought a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 500 and since it was vibriting without any reason and woke up itself they changed the screen. The situation starts here: One screw was replaced badly and it was a bit tilted, but as our main season started I thought it will be OK. After 2 months the body of the laptop separated a bit and the under part a bit cracked above the USB port. I saw that all the screws were falling out of the stuff....I said it's not a big problem so I brought it back, but before that I checked the laptop, and it turned out that there was a small bump next to the touchpad which was slightly scratched. So I checked the screen and it turned out that there was a scratch too. So I went back to the lenovo service partner, where we could only see the bump from some side angles, and they took the laptop. In the afternoon I got an email that they screwed out and back everything so the PC is good now, they won't change anything at all. So I went back and asked them about the situation, and they said that it's my mistake that I must have holded the PC with one hand, so they won't fix the cracked thing, I'm lucky that the motherboard didn't break. When I said that OK, it's not a big issue for me, because after screwing the laptop, I can't really see the crack, but I'd like the screen to be fixed she said that I can't prove that they assambled the laptop incorrectly, when I said that her college saw that the screw was tilted she said do I have a photo about that beca... I got the product from you on 25/11/2016 through one of your retailer SAVEX TECHNOLOGIES PVT.LTD.     Problem is that, inside the box it mentioned only 1 year warranty, but while in your website it is mentioned 3 year warranty. I bought my HP Spectre x360 on 15/02/2017. When I checked the warranty online, it said "Your product?s warranty expired on February 17, 2017".How is it possible that the warranty expires in two days? I am also unable to contact technical support because I cannot get past this message.I have been having touchpad issues; my touchpad appears to not be working, and there is no pointer on the screen.It's been two months, I didn't expect to have any issues this fast. Please let me know if there is any way you can help.

Hi,I bought new HP Envy Q006tx from an authorised dealer in pakistan named "Compsi" Lahore,My machine came with an manufacturing  fault and I requested HP to replace my unit as there is a manufacturing fault, but HP didn't do it instead they said we will warranty claim this issue, I was afraid that as there is a manufacturing fault this machine will give me  tough time in future then HP told me we will give you 1 year extended warrenty for your fear I said okay all I want is my machine to run okay.But, now due to poorly designed laptop lid connector something is broken inside my machine and your authorised dealer saying we will not claim this in warranty the HP guy who give me extended warranty I am writing him emails and he is not replying to my emails his name and email address is : "Lavado, Henry G (PH PPS CSS)" <[email protected]>Please can you someone at HP ask him to reply to my emails or anyone else representing HP can contact me I want to discuss this in detail? If I am getting all these issues then what is the point of buy a machine from your authorised dealer at a very high price relatively to the market?

I own Y50-70 Lenovo laptop bought in Norway! The motherboard is broken and here in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina the services is not able to repair it or to replace it. I can not see the warranty status because the site does not recognize the Serial Number of my computer which is CB32585929! Services here recommend me to go to Norway to get my warranty but it is not an option for me. Please help!

I bought this laptop today - Windows 10, 128GB SSD Intel i3, but the warranty says 9 month remaining on the support assistant. I try disputing this on the site and let the support assistant find my model number, and it says that it's been obselete for a number of years, and then another part said unknown error?! I contacted live chat and they said they will try and get it updated in 3 weeks, but I'm not convinced. My printer had the same issue in Jan, contacted them then and they never updated it. Any ideas? Thanks

My base warranty will expire in 26 days. Few weeks ago I tried to upgrade warranty for 3 years for 79 euro. There was few options to choose 2 or 3 years. That did not go through and few days ago I tried to do the same but now I see only one option 1 Year warranty for 51 euro!? My question is : why I cant choose warranty options and how I can upgrade warranty for 3 y. before my base warranty expired? Looking for help..

This is not a technical question, if i'm posting in the wrong section I request the moderators to move it to the correct place.
I'm from India. We have an online shop here, called "Snapdeal". Purchased a laptop from here, it's a Dell Vostro. When I check the Dell warranty page, I see the "Shipping Date" is different from the date on my invoice. Called up Dell support, they asked me to mail a scanned copy of the invoice, and they will make the appropriate corrections. I did, and the next day Dell called me back and informed my request has been rejected, as there's no "Service tag" or "Express service code" mentioned in the invoice. It's impossible for Dell to verify this invoice is for the laptop in question, and i need to contact the "place of purchase" for an updated invoice which includes the service tag of the laptop.
I've since called "Snapdeal" a number of times. They keep telling they have taken a complaint and will send an updated invoice in 24 hours, but I'm yet to receive this. This is not really a Dell problem, it's a "Snapdeal" problem. Could someone please suggest what do I do now? If the laptop gets stolen, I won't even be able to complain to the police, as my invoice is pretty much meaningless without the serial number of the laptop mentioned on it :-(

Hi, I purchased an Inspiron 1543 on Oct 27, 2015 from an authorized dell store at GIP Mall Noida and since then I have been strutggling with Dell Warranty team to update the warranty status under dell festive offers. They have updated only NBD warranty date to Oct 2018 sine I have purchased two years extended warranty, but all the other warranty dates are yet to be updated and they are not even replying my emails. The worst customer service I have ever seen. I will never recommend anytone to buy a dell product. I have provided everything they reqested already. My service tag #<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>. My contact # are<ADMIN NOTE: Phone number removed per privacy policy>. Can anyone help? And specially Dell should not sell it's product through cheaters like Skope computers(A dell authorized showroom, GIM Mall, Noida.) They are thieves and cheaters and not have manners.

Do not include your service tag and contact numbers, because those will be removed as per forum policy. If someone from Dell replies to your post, they will ask you to send them that information via the forum's private message feature.

My Yoga 720 13" ( S/N MP19RAPY ) has been cycling through repairment centers for the whole year. There were problems related to wifi adapter, digitizer and display problems, hardware malfunctions (the mother board was even changed!). I have never had the clue to extend my warranty because i believed that Lenovo would refund me or would have swapped the laptop with another one (so with a new s/n ). The yoga came back from repairment center yesterday and it seems fine (except for the usual and well known "mouse pointer pixellation bug" and usual "wifi drops") but I can live with this (hoping that I dont find other bugs in the near future).The problem is that my warranty runs out the 11 september 2018. As I remember there was the possibility to extend the warranty by 2 years for a fair price (last time I checked was May) but right now the only option is "post warranty deposit /CC for 1 year" at 51 Euro.What happended? Can somebody get this solved ? One more thing : lenovo gave me a coupon code to use for warranty (with the laptop) but it is not working!
