mmjb.exe--ordinal not found

Q: mmjb.exe--ordinal not found

Hi All,

Can't seem to resolve this issue while trying to play CD's, mp3 files, etc. I'm getting the following message: MMJB.EXE- ordinal not found. The ordinal 1191 could not be located in the dynamic link library PX.dll.

A few months ago the problem was that "px.dll" could not be found or something to that effect. I reinstalled and everything worked fine. Not sure what to do at this point with this issue.

System Information:
1. Dell Dimension 4600; Windows XP.
2. Samsung CD-R/RW SW 252S and DVD-ROM SD-616E

Thanks in advance for your help.

Preferred Solution: mmjb.exe--ordinal not found

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A suggestion, if still possible. Undo the system restore and find other means of removing what you do not want. Many of those items you mention can be removed individually.

I've recently hit a rather major issue with my computer. I was attempting to install Internet Explorer 8 on my XP SP3 machine (as somehow I was still with IE7...) but it stopped responding when it tried installing .NET 3.5 framework (or similar) and so I was forced to end it's process.
After I finished installing a game on Steam, it started to update and part of the initial update was for .NET framework (version not specified) and again it stopped responding, so I had to end it's process.

I then restarted my computer and got the message:
(With reference to explorer.exe)
"This application has failed to start because iertutil.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

The usual symptoms appeared (no icons and an annoying message whenever running applications via Task Manager) and after a quick Google search was done I started losing faith in that I could fix this alone.

I, rather foolishly, followed the advice of somebody who recommended downloading iertutil.dll from the internet and manually placing it inside C:\Windows\system32. I then rebooted.

I now receive a different error message in all of the same places with similar symptoms. The new message is:
"The ordinal 173 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll."

I suspect that all of the ordinals in the .dll that I downloaded are inoperable.

Now I'm at a loss for what to do next!
I am unable to run System Restore via Ta... Read more

Why would you install a transformation pack meant for XP onto a Vista beta to begin with?

FYI vista beta = Beta OS.

I'ld suggest a reinstall and don't load the Transformation pack.

hey, i have been having some blue screens lately and have been system restoring my computer. no blue screen has happened lately but i cannon open a few files because the message pops up "mvt.App.exe -dordinal not found. the ordinal 491 could not be located in the dynamic libraby urlmon.dll" i would do i virus scan with mcafee but that is one of the few programs that do not work.
any help would be appreciate!

A:ordinal 491 not found

MvtApp is an application manager belonging to McAfee. Urlmon.dll is essential for Windows to work correctly.

So I'm not exactly sure what is going on to initially cause this.

If you can, download malwarebytes and run it, searching for malware.

Also, since McAfee is not working, download Microsoft Security Essentials to search for viruses.

Let us know what you find.

Hello, Not sure this is the right forum, but after installing software for a SupraKey cradle device (used by Realtors for getting into electronic lockboxes at homes), I started getting a popup box that has a blue bar across the top with the words "bcmwltry.exe - Ordinal Not Found" and then in the box below it there is a red circle with an X in it followed by "The ordinal 968 could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBEAY32.dll." Under that is a box with OK in it. I can click on OK or the X at the top right of the box to close the box, but then it pops back up a couple seconds later. I searched Google for help but did not find anything that gave a fix for this. I removed the software through Add or Remove Programs and reinstalled, but it still comes back and will not go away. Can anyone help me get rid of this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just started getting this error message today. It occurs anytime someone attempts to log in with their username using the Novel 4.90 SP2 client. The error occurs while logging in but allows the user to continue logging in. The only other problem I have seen involved with this error is that it keeps the user from seeing his/her network drives.

The exact error message is as follows. I hope someone knows how to fix it as I am clueless.

smax4pnp.exe - Ordinal Not Found
"The ordinal 0 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

I was unsure if it is going to require any kind of work with that specific file or if it was possible to copy that file from a working computer and see if that fixed it. I did not know if this would have any adverse affects, so I thought I would ask around first.

The computer is a Dell Optiplex GX520 with Windows XP Home edition. I work in a school so we use Novell to run our student and staff network accounts. The computer in question has a Celeron(R) 2.66 GHz Processor, 512 Mb RAM, and a 40 GB hard drive.

If you have any solutions or even possible solutions, let me know and I will give it a try.

Very gratefully,

I am having all sorts of problems with the Vista Home Premium. I purchase RegServe to correct windows errors but still keep getting this message ordinal 7 could not be found. My IE8 crashes and the Yahoo Messenger will come on and then stop working. Unable to install the service Pack 1. Gets hung up on reboot with a code 0xc0190034. So then I have to go into a restore but still have all the same problems. I have tried to restore all defaults back to IE8 but doesnt do any good. Even ran a defrag on the system as well as a registry defrag. At at my wits end on how to solve these issues.

A:Ordinal 7 not found in dynamic library

Use your Windows key + R to open the Run box then type sfc /scannow into the box and hit Enter. You'll need your Vista DVD handy in case the System File Checker needs to expand new copies of missing files. Restart after that and go straight to Microsoft's site to download Service Pack 2 - that contains everything SP1 had and wil bring you almost up to date.

I would personally recommend uninstalling RegServe and not using any so-called registry cleaners other than perhaps the low level one that comes with CCleaner but even that shouldn't be necessary. If you do use it, always start by going into the Registry and selecting Export from the File menu. Note the name and locaiton of the critical backup you're making in case anything goes wrong.

Good Evening everyone!
First time poster in this forum and seeking some help/advice please.
I am currently having problems on a Sony Vaio laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.  I have Norton Internet Security 2014 installed which I have had installed since within the first fortnight of owning it (owned it for just under two years now) and regularly scan my laptop.
I went to defrag the C drive and an error pop up entitled "dfrgui.exe - Ordinal Not Found" came up with the message "The ordinal 345 could not be located in the dynamic link library COMCTL32.dll". I have browsed various places on the internet and contacted MS support. I have not recently installed any new drivers or programs so haven't tried to undo any changes since there haven't been any for a few months now. Having browsed I decided to run 'sfc /scannow' in the cmd prompt, this came back with errors which it said were contained within 'CBS.log'. I navigated to the folder containing the log but have been unable to open it as the administrator.
Looking through my Norton history (aside from tracking cookie removal) there have been 4 high severity events.

My hp computer (Windows 7) was running slowly and randomly freezing and I did a disk cleanup. For the cleanup I removed all the things that were suggested (about 12GB of material). The computer works quickly now but has a bunch of new problems. Every time I turn it on I get about 20 Ordinal not found messages, and when I try to open programs such as itunes I get messages such as "iTunes.exe-Ordinal Not Found: The ordinal 701 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll." followed by the pop up "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall itunes. Error 7 Windows Error 182". Other programs such as spotify and word starter have been effected similarly. I tried to download itunes again but Google Chrome won't let me download itunes now (or anything at all) and the message "Failed-blocked" comes up. I tried unchecking " Protect you and your device from dangerous sites" but there has been no progress. Also in the process of the disk clean up internet explorer has seemed to delete itself off my computer and when I try to open it I get the message, "The item 'iexplore.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly."In addition I have tried doing the SFC /SCANNOW in Command prompt but that has not resolved any issues. I'm currently studying abroad with limited tech support so thank you for any help or advice!

Hi, do you have a Windows XP disc? if not follow this guide to make a Repair disc. You will obviously have to make the CD on a working PC.

Please download ARCDC from Artellos.com.
Double click ARCDC.exe
Follow the dialog until you see 6 options. Please pick: Windows Professional SP2 & SP3
( Replace "Windows Professional SP2 & SP3" with the OS required. <<< IMPORTANT)
You will be prompted with a Terms of Use by Microsoft, please accept.
You will see a few dos screens flash by, this is normal.
Next you will be able to choose to add extra files. Select the Default Files.
The last window will allow you to burn the disk using BurnCDCC
The ISO file will be found on your desktop.

Boot the faulty PC from the XP disc (or the disc you made as above) and select Recovery Console.

At the Command Prompt, type CD C:\ and press Enter, then type:

C:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe and press Enter.

Follow the instructions given to perform the System Restore process. NOTE: the recent Windows Update should have created a restore point so you need to select that one to go back to.

If Windows is installed on a different drive to C: then substitute C: with the correct drive letter in the commands above.

If the PC will now boot up ok immediately go into Windows Update and switch it off and wait for further instructions.

Let me know how you get on.

I am running Win7 64bit and am suspect a virus is blocking McAfee virus scan.

Approximately two weeks ago I encountered a virus with many pop-ups: Windows home security 2012. I followed the guide below to remove:
The pop-ups ceased at this point.

Today, I have been getting full screen Internet Explorer pop-ups with random websites.
I updated and rescanned using Malwarebyte?s Anti-Malware, and it found one threat which I removed.

I then checked tried to access my antivirus software (McAfee) to check if it is updating correctly. I receive this error when attempting to open or force update:
?mcconsol.exe - Ordinal Not Found: The ordinal 1112 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK32.dll? or
?mcupdate.exe - Ordinal Not Found: The ordinal 1112 could not be located in the dynamic link library WSOCK32.dll?

From Origin (or even without origin, just trying to run the game from my desktop alone), I cannot play the Sims 3 or my only expansion pack, the Sims 3 Pets.
I have two other games installed that work completely fine: Plants vs. Zombies and SimCity.

The error happens just a few seconds after trying to launch either of the Sims games, without even opening the launcher. This is what the error message says:

Sims3LauncherW.exe - Ordinal Not Found

The ordinal 304 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll.

Then, after clicking "OK" on the prompt, I get this:

Sims3Launcher has stopped working
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem...

I have had 5 chats with 5 different people from the Origin online help chat, and as suggested I have tried all of the following, all to which none have solved my problem.
Logged out & back into Origin
"Repaired" games from inside Origin
Restarted my laptop
Manually uninstalled Origin, then reinstalled Origin from the Origin website
Uninstalled the Sims 3 Pets and The Sims 3 (not manually, I would need guidance for that), then reinstalled both
Updated AMD drivers
Installed Windows updates
Clean booted my laptop
Please help!

I see this when I try to bring up a new tab. I thought it had to do with the Chrome browser,
but when I use the recently installed HP printer software, I see it there also.

Anyone have any idea what this could mean?

If its a virus, where should I look for it?

I don't even know what an "ordinal " is - - -

Well, it seems that whenever I try to burn an mp3 disc with Musicmatch 10 plus it comes up with an error. Screenshot here -> http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/4172/cerrormmjburn4cn.jpg <- It happens almost every time, about 9 in 10 tries. Extremely frustrating. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Hi guys,

Software involved:
MusicMatch Jukebox, version 7
Windows Media Player, version 8

Computer is spyware/adware free, has no viruses, trojans, or other malware. No oddities in my startups.

- - - - - -

I have MusicMatch Jukebox set to be the default player for mp3's. Yet, when I double-click an mp3 file, it doesn't launch MMJB as it should, it launches Windows Media Player instead.

I checked WMP, and it is not associated with mp3 files. In fact, I unchecked all file associations in WMP, but the problem still exists.

I've rebooted, shut down & restarted... all the usual normal most common attempts to fix it, but no go.

Any ideas?

A:(Solved) WMP hijacking MMJB

Go to Windows Explorer. Tools | Options. File Types tab.

Scroll down to mp3, and click to highlight. What does it say it opens with?

Then, find an mp3 on your pc. Whilst holding down the shift key, rightclick and choose Open With... Choose JukeBox from the list. If its not there, use the Other button, and browse to it. Make sure the box Always Open File Types.. is ticked.

Apply and OK.

Does that work?

A:mmjb soundcard proble

you've got to try and update your device drivers for the card. you can look up your model on your card's manufacturer's website, and downlaod the appropriate driver. i'd try playing your files on another media player and see if you get the same problem.

I have been using the free version of Mmjb 7.5 since it was released and have been very happy with it up until now.

On my old pc I would rip from my cd collection and burn mp3 cd's.

I now have Mmjb 7.5 on my new lap top and find the when I rip my music it goes to "My music" as I want it to, BUT it also goes straight to "My Library" with-in Mmjb.

I have unchecked the "add to playlist" in Mmjb>options>recorder>settings but can't find where to UNCHECK "add to library"

Anyone with any ideas

Hi guys,
This is the first forum I've joined for pc help so stick with me.
First off I'd like to say I've read several previous posts on MMJB7.5 but they didn't quite cover my problem so forgive me if this has been answered and I didn't find it.
I'm a DJ and have loved this program for SuperTagging. It looks up the album art which is key for keeping my radio station quazi professional.
Anyway, I made the mistake (as many did) of "upgrading" to ie7. After this MMJB7.5 still worked BUT it wouldn't connect to SuperTag anymore.. Which is really the only reason I use it.
I tried MMJB 10.. no luck.
SO i uninstalled both, Add/Removed ie7 (Just went back to ie6 by itself), reinstalled MMJB7.5 and it still says "There was a server time-out while attempting to look up tag data."
Any ideas? I NEED the supertagging option and obtain so much music that looking up each album art myself is rediculous.

A:MMJB 7.5 Supertagging After Rollback to ie6

I speak under correction but as far as I know the super tagging server (I am sure I am using the incorrect terms) has been disabled since yahoo have taken over the programme. This is regardless of version. This is really sad as it was a fantastic service and why I forked out actual money 5 years ago to purchase the full version.

I have been burning a few mp3 disks with mmjb 7.5
The disks seem to burn Ok but when I put them back in my laptop to check them, Mmjb doesn't seem to recognize the disk
It lists 6 things in the player window but they are just like 1" ", 2" " ....etc but none of the songs show.

If go into "My Computer" and open the D drive I can play the from there, but I would really like to get Mmjb to recognize the CD if it's possible.

I have attached a screen shot to show what shows up in Mmjb so you might understand what I mean.
