Q: [SOLVED] Error Debug, error report

Good afternoon,
I was using My Passport portable hard drive, when a Windows window popped up and said any data might be lost, and needed Windows needed to close, after it closed my window was frozen, so I unplugged My Passport
I rebooted my computer and a message popped up about WB My Passport, and now when I plug in My Passport it is not being recognized by My Computer. I tried to explain this the best I could.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello. I'm receiving a Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library: Debug Assertion Failed! error message whenever I open an application (the application is an EEG monitoring Patient Database). The application will open, but as soon as I move my cursor, the above error message pops up. Selecting Abort or Retry causes the application to close. If I click Retry several times, the error message disappears, but shows up again after moving the cursor around. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I know my way around a computer to a certain extent, and this is obviously beyond me.

I am using a ThinkCentre M52 8113-F1U with Windows XP service pack 2.

I'm using ACCESS 2003 and I created a query named 'Key Measures - BESOS' with the criteria set for [Date] as a parameter ('Between [start] And [end]') and it works fine; however, when i run the report based on that query i get an error (#Error)message in all my fields. The report looks at the sum of cases that meet my criteria in several fields. for example, i need to know the sum of cases that are outreach (1) and have the following formula: '=(DSum("[outreach"],"Key Meaures - BESOS","1")*-1).

All the formulas used to work perfectly before I set the criteria in the [Date] field in the query. Why is it that my query is running fine, but the report isn't? I've checked the Record Source and it is OK. I don't know if this is relevant, but the fileds are in the Report Header section to avoid getting 50 pages with the same info. Again, everything used to work fine until the date criteria thing and i didn't change anything else.

I think rebooting could maybe make things worse, so I figured it would be better to ask for advice before attempting to reboot again, so I don't have the scanning information required.

I began to have problems with my computer this morning (June 29). Last night I had let windows install its updates, rebooted, and left the computer on overnight. When I got up the next morning, it had an error about win32.exe encountering an error and needing to close, one of those error report ones. The first time I didn't bother telling it to send. However, afterwards the taskbar disappeared and ctrl+alt+del didn't do anything. I had to reboot manually, and then it was fine for a while until having another win32 error report, which I sent, and after which my sound failed to work for certain things. My winamp had an error about missing something and wouldn't play, and a youtube video's sound wouldn't play. I didn't have to shut it down manually this time, and the shutdown sound worked. The sound worked again afterward, but I tried virus scanning with Avira and it stopped on svchost.exe.mdmp at 22.1%, and it only found a java/openconnect.l for a ?detection?. I tried getting the task manager, and when I tried ctrl+alt+del and clicked it, it not only didn't give me the task manager at all but it took my taskbar, and then nothing else would work when clicked. I rebooted again and tried running MalwareBytes, and then after a couple minutes the screen went black and then turned blue, and had this:... Read more

Vista is really doing my head in now.

If I leave my computer for say an hour or so while I watch TV or play on 360 I get the debug error message (as shown in the pic). If I click yes it asks which program to use to debug then says it can't debug the file. If I click no the message comes back straight away. I sometimes sit with my finger on the 'N' key for about 20 seconds while it ends the program or what ever it is. I have closed the side bar thinking it could be a gadet or summat and even closed Widows Live Messenger Beta but it still don't go away.

Is there anyway of finding out what program is causing this? Its talking about connecting to the target server so I'm guessing it's got to be something on the net, but what?

Hey everyone, I'm having problems with Vista (obviously) recent items list in start menu. Everytime I try to clear it or re-open a file from the list a debug error comes up. The notification says Run-Time Check Failure #2- stack around the variable 'szlink' was corrupted. I have no clue what this means and I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

p.s.- I tried stop script debugging but the notice still pops up. Other than that the pc works fine.

have you used a "registry cleaner"? sounds like something got changed in the registry..
can you use system restore (you say recently)...
heres something to look at http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/143336-recent-items-list-clear-history.html

good luck

"A problem with your video hardware caused Windows to stop working correctly"...

This is probably caused by bad or corrupted video drivers. Go to Nvidia's driver support website and download and install the latest driver for the 8800... Your computer may also be infected with a virus or other malware

Hey,
I have been having a major problem with my laptop.I have been getting a "Dr.watson debug error". My system just freezes. It comes up with any application starting from internet explorer to opening any folders or even opening notepad. Sometimes the system takes forever to even boot and i can't restart it.

When i looked into the task manager there were atleast 7 drwatson.exe and dwwin.exe running.. The system comes under control if i manage to end these processes. I am attaching the HJT log here.It took me 4 tries to use the ATF_Cleaner. It would just freeze if i try to clean my disk. Am just running a trial version of Kaspersky Internet Suite 6.0 at the moment as iam yet to decide between Norton and Kaspersky. Have run a Panda Online Scan. No viruses. The result was 30 spyware threats. Also used Ewido to clean the laptop before taking this HJT log.

A:A Runtime Error- Do I Want To Debug?

Hello AEK47,Certain sites tell me I have a runtime error and asks if I want to debug then it saysLine:146Error: 'this.navelement.addEventListener' is null or not an object. http://www.sureshotsoftware.com/articles/scripterrors.htmlHow to disable script and runtime errors in Internet ExplorerYou can configure Internet Explorer to ignore these script and runtime errors. Please follow this step-by-step guide:1. Open Internet Explorer.2. Click on Tools, then on Internet Options.3. Click on the Advanced tab.4. Look for the "Disable script debugging" line and put a check mark in the box.5. Now look for the "Display a notification about every script error" line and remove the check mark in the box. Please download SmitfraudFix Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present). Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply. Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user. http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc...processutil.htm

When opening an Explorer page from the Internet, I'm frequently besieged with this recurring and annoying pop-up:
"A Runtime error has occurred.
Do you wish to DeBug?
(line 2824 - or similar)
Error: object doesn't support this property or method"

A Yes-No choice is offered - clicking Yes launches a lengthy and useless debugging process that never seems to correct the issue. Clicking No closes the annoyance, only to pop-up repeatedly again, often in multiples.

How do I eliminate this irritating message?
