Yoga 500-14ISK - Can't Install My Backup with OneKey Recovery W10

Q: Yoga 500-14ISK - Can't Install My Backup with OneKey Recovery W10

Hi, I have Yoga 500 which has a i5 6200U. It came installed with Windows 10.I get my backup with last version of OneKey Recovery before the serviced. Backup is 120 GB.After the service, I try to install my backup but it doesn't work. I tried different ways. 1- I try to do that with OneKey Recovery on my desktop. After the restart, there is a blue screen and diffrent alternative options.-First, I choose connect a device (DVD, Usb HDD etc.) and after than I choose my external hard disk which is include backup files. 4 seconds later, nothing gonna happen and Window 10 start as ever as. It doesn't work.-Second, I choose other option (Repair etc.). After then I choose System Image ... ( I don't remember the full name). I try to sellect my backup.wpi file and others files, but it doesn't work also.2- I try to do that with Novo Button. I choose System Recovery. There is a same screen with the OneKey Recovery. I try the do same steps but it doesn't work also.3-I'm sure that my backup is doesn't have a problem but I create a new backup for trying. It doesn't work also.*I also try to format my laptop to Install Windows 8 but I can't. I disable UEFI mode and other bios options but nothing gonna change. I have very important datas on my backup. At least I recover that. How can I open .wsi and .dsi files? I think problem is "OneKey Recovery not compatible with Windows 10". It's not start in initial screen when I choose the System Recovery option on OneKey Recovery. Is it possible to do that with Windows 8?Also how can I install Windows 8? **Sorry for my bad English

Why OneKey Recovery does not work after installing latest update of windows 10? I have updated windows today (14 Oct 2017). I think the latest version of windows 10 has been installed on my laptop now. After installing this latest version of windows 10, I am unable to make system backup using pre-installed OneKey Recovery Software in my Lenovo Yoga500 14ISK laptop. An another issue is I found a windows.old folder in my system drive which is using approximately 15 GB. It is a very disturbing thing to me. It is appearing after installing the updates. Can anybody help me with the above issues. Thanks in advance. Sincerely,Rubel Ahmed

Hello,I'm facing some little problems that a clean install would definately solve them, but I'm afraid that if I install onekey recovery afterwords, it won't be or can't be 100% integrated with the system. There's this novo key on the side that it brings onekey recovery if i shut my laptop and then press it, would it work later after a clean install of windows OS and reinstalling onekey recovery? Is there anything that is really useful by Lenovo that I'm going to miss out on, if i do a clean install? Is there any risks at all?Thank U guys

I have done a recovery before without a problem.  But now when I'm in the system recovery environment, my backup drive (an external drive) is not being detected.  Only drives C and D are an option.  I have tried my two different USB ports, and neither work.   By the way, I have a G50-30 laptop, but there are no forums for laptops, so I have posted here. Can anyone help me, please?

I backed up all of my work and files with Onekey Recovery. The backup went smoothly and there were no errors or problems. I sent my laptop to Lenovo to be fixed, they sent the laptop back with initial factory recovery (basically like a brand new, completely wiped laptop) but when I went to restore all of my files, it only gets up to 8% and then gives an error message "failed to access files" I HAVE to get those files back. It's about 15 years of undergrad, and graduate work, not to mention all my important information and sentimental pictures and whatnot. Has anyone else had this problem? IS there a way to fi this? Maybe apply the .wsi backup files manually (not through onekey recovery)? Or someone fix this in anyway possible. Please any information would help. I'm desperate

Hi. I've bought a Yoga Home 900 27" at Amazon warehouse, but there is no Lenove specific software on it (Aura, Games, ...)  I've tried to reset the Yoga to factory settings with the F2 hint by "Kalvin Klein", but this won't work for me :-(  How can I get the Yoga Home 900 specific Software? I saw, that I can download Aura from the support area, but this won't bring me the games. To honest, I would prefer to do a clean factory reset with the onekey recovery. But if this won't be possible, maybe I can get the software from here or anywhere? Any help is really appreciated. Thanks Christian

I was doing preventive care and did a Lenovo System Rescue 4.0. image to an external usb hard drive. I clicked on system backup and chose a blank external USB harddrive.  I click save and 5 hours later it said complete. So to test it out I did a reboot pressed f2 and waited for the system to go into the Lenovo Rescue System recovery mode.  But when I asked it to choose the drive I  it to it said the backup.wsi was not valid. It sees the drive but doesn't recognize the file I just saved. I am on windows 10. Thanks

Hello. I have recently resetted my Lenovo Y50-70 to factory settings due to some issues. Now that I've got my Companion App back up and running, going in System Update shows that OneKey Recovery has failed to install. Upon hitting "Retry install" button, it looks like it's downloading the necessary files, but after a split second of 0% progress it just stops and shows a red exclamation mark with "1 Update failed to download and install".I do not know what is wrong with that, I remember it working fine before resetting. Hello, I have a question about the Lenovo Yoga 700-14ISK (14" model). I see some are shipped with an SSD and some with an HDD. Is there place to place both an SSD and an HDD? Then I could for example buy the one with the SSD, and install an HDD next to it myself. It seems possible with the 700-15ISK (15") model, but I was wondering whether this is also the case for the 14" model. Regards,Loek

This laptop refuses Windows 7. How are you supposed to install Windows 7 successfully to this machine? It does not matter how you prepare the media installation, what distribution image you use of the operating system, what settings you enable and disable in the BIOS. All install attempts result in the freezing of the Windows 7 logo followed by a blue screen that says The BIOS in this system is s not fully ACPI compliant. This ridiculous error is usually fixed by simply updating the BIOS which is already current. There is no option to change the disk controller settings and there is no option to specifically enable Windows 7 support other than optimized defaults.  ModelLenovo Yoga 700-14ISK BIOS VersionBCN26WW CPUIntel Core i5-6200U  BIOS TogglesFailed: Dsiable FastbootFailed: Enable FastbootFailed: Enable UEFIFailed: Enable Legacy SupportFailed: Toggle UEFI First, Legacy SecondFailed: Disable Wireless ControllerFailed: Disable Trusted PlatformFailed: Disable SecurebootFailed: Disable OS Optimized DefaultsFailed: Enable OS Optimized DefaultsFailed: Move USB media to all three USB ports Rufus Installation PrepationFailed: MBR UEFIFailed: GPT UEFIFailed: BIOS OR MBR  Rufus Installation PrepationFailed: Injecting Intel 6th Generation USB 3.0 drivers to the intsallation media via dism

On the Lenovo Onekey Recovery, I selected the option to restore system partition to its initial status. Now I'm not sure what this does exactly, but it then asked for what language I wanted to use and then username and password. And before I could type in anything, the screen turn black and no matter what I did, it wouldn't budge from there. Now I don't know if I accidentally removed windows and I don't know how to get it back. Does anyone know what options I have?

I have the same problem.
Recently I updated my PC from windows 8.1 to windows 10.After almost a month I returned back to windows 8.1 from windows 10.
When I tried to install dell backup and recovery (Backup-and-Recovery_Application_64M9D_WN32_1.8.1.71_A00) I got factory error 5.
I cannot refresh my PC from windows also. I am getting the error “could not find the recovery environment”.
Now in command prompt
1. reagentc/info

2. reagentc/enable

3. Exit and reboot.
After the reboot I tried to install dell backup and recovery again. Then also I got the same “factory setup error 5”.

Then I checked the reagent/info in command prompt after reboot. It shows it is disabled.

Please help me.

Hi.I have an IdeaPad 310 that shipped with a 2TB HDD that I would like to replace with a 512GB SSD.After speaking with Lenovo support i was under the impression that I should be able to use OneKey recovery to create a USB recovery image, swap the drives over and use System Retore to load a factory fresh OS on my SSD. I have prepared the Recovery USB drive. I am in the process of trying to initiate the OneKey Recovery system restore. This is where i run into problems. OneKey does not pick up my USB drive recovery image.Ok - perhaps the USB drive is not configured as a bootable device. I have used DiskPart to reformat the drive to NTFS format and make the boot partition active (diskpart active). My USB drive is too large to format as FAT32...NTFS is not compatible with UEFI...(?)... So in the BIOS I have selected Boot Mode as Legacy..., Disabled UEFI... USB is enabled. Now when i run OneKey recovery --> System restore... UEFI network boot does not start up, but i receive an error that no OS was found, remove drive and restart (or words to that effect..). What next? Do i need to Format in FAT32 in order to boot from the recovery drive?

I read the User Guide and it explains how to create a system backup by backing up to a partition on the hard drive. So I did as instructed and the system told me that I would need 151GB of space to create the backup up image but I only have 1.5GB spare. Maybe I am missing something but surely there would hardly ever be enough space to perform a backup to a partition on the hard drive for 99% of people so why do Lenovo suggest it?PS I am aware that I could backup to an external hard drive although I don't have one.

I sent in a Lenovo G50-80 laptop for warranty repairs for replacing the failing hard drive.  As part of the process, Lenovo support email reponse told me to prepare the laptop by taking a user backup.  I did this with Lenovo's OneKey app, which I believed that this would do to process.  The laptop came back and the hard drive was replace and re-imaged to factory defaults.  I now am trying to do the OneKey restore of my successful "user backup" but the process is reporting: The program cannot restore the system partition because its structure is incorrect. You may have to recreate the partition to continue I did get another USB key and did a OneKey 'System backup" to it, just in case.  I tested the OneKey restore process with this backup and OneKey will allow it to contine.  I did not continue this test process. I then retrieved the original USB key used for the first set up backup of this laptop and it also gave the same error result message as above.    What gives?  Why can I not restore the user backup?

2 (two) days ago I decided to Restore to Factory Settings my Lenovo G40. When I reached 100%; a pop-up screen appeared with a Shutdown or Reboot option. Both options where not responding when I click them, so I decided to hard reboot by removing the battery. For when I thought it would be running well, unfortunately it did not. When I turn it back on, a Preparing Automatic Repair shows then after that Diagnosing your PC appears then Loading Files then leads me to a blue screen with Restart or Other Options button (which leads me back to the option of doing the whole Restore to Factory Settings again), clicked the other options and clicked Exit and Continue using Windows 8.1 goes back to boot screen with Preparing Automatic Repair and Diagnosing your PC again and again and again.  Can someone help me? I just came back from the loop of Autorepair/Diagnosing your PC loop of death..So now I need to do a onekey recovery backup now that everything is working again. When trying to use OKR my sys partition is too large for the recovery partion, so I tried to use the external which has plenty of room (3Tb), but I can't click start since it is greyed out. It is a USB 3 external. Does it have to be bootable or something? My other problems is that in my efforts to make sure I had the latest OKR version, I inadvertantly replaced the one it came with (8.1) with (8.0)...It used to be a yellowish theme, now it is blue themed. The file I installed was okrw818002105.exe .And it still won't let me backup to the external.Any idea on how I could get my original OKR 8.1 back?

Hey there, I'm having some trouble with my HDD partitions since I tried to use OneKey with a previously created system image in order to avoid a factory reset and reinstalling everything. Seems like my partitions were all wiped (including recovery, Lenovo drive with apps and drivers, etc). I'm not really sure but it seems they have been resized as well. Has anyone had this kind of trouble before? More importantly, is there any way I could download a factory clean full drive image and respective partitions data (size, letter, etc.) so I can recreate it all? I'm trying to fix it all at home instead of relying on support because to be honest, Lenovo's support is pretty crap here in Brasil. Even finding the link to open a repair ticket or talk to support is hard to find on their website and after finding it, it doesn't work. My laptop is an Ideapad 310-15ISK.  Thanks in advance.

A:G50-80 - onekey recovery problem

Hi Mlpoof13 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

In events that even One Key Recovery would fail the same as in booting up the machine, it would be better to run diagnostics test to check on the both physical integrity and image integrity of your harddrive.

Since the image is located on a hidden partition separate from the main Windows installation, the more that it may suggest issue with the entire harddrive performance.

You can use a bootable diagnostics to do this else slaving the harddrive on an external harddrive enclosure or placing it on another machine.

Update us how it goes best for you.

Hey,

Does anyone here know a good recovery software that can be set up to boot into the recovery environment when someone pushes the Nova Button (Button next to power button on laptops). I have a Lenovo B575 and I had originally installed Lenovo Onekey Recovery which boots into the Recovery Environment when you push the Nova Button. However I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 and I understand that is no longer an option. If anyone knows a good recovery software that can do that please let me know or even better if you can find a way to reinstall Lenovo Onekey Recovery in Windows 8.1. I have already tried installing it from the Lenovo website but in order to boot from the Recovery Environment you need to have the OEM and Recovery Partitions and I don't know where to go to get those. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
-Benjamin

A:Onekey Recovery Software

After wiping the existing OEM recovery partition, I do not think you will be able to get the button to work. I think Levono possibly has some code in the Recovery Partition that responds to the button push at boot. In your other thread you were going to try Aoemi One Key. Did that work okay? I know it will not work with the button push but I believe on a Windows 8 computer, it boots to a screen that gives an option to boot to the Aoemi recovery partition or to boot normally.

Hi I have a few questions about Onekey Recovery for my Y510P IdeaPad. Recently my laptop has been getting BSOD upon startup (bad_system_config error), so I downloaded the Windows 10 installation media onto a USB, then booted from USB to re-install Windows 10. However I noticed that my laptop came with a "recovery" drive "PBR_DRV" taking up about 20GB, and I assume this is the OneKey Recovery drive. My laptop originally came with Windows 7, then I upgraded it to 8.1 when the free update came, then finally to Windows 10 in another update. If I use OneKey, would this revert it back to Windows 7, or will it stay on Windows 10?Will using OneKey wipe only C: system partition, or wipe entire HD? All my personal files are on another partition F:, but I forgot to back these up, nor am I handy enough to disassemble the computer, take out HD, connect to another computer and transfer everything over. My computer is unable to boot to login screenWhat's the difference between using OneKey, and simply using default Windows 10 installation media (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10)?Can I delete the other partitions like "LENOVO 25GB Primary"? I have a total of 9 partitions that I see in Windows Setup window... Or do I not have to worry about these for now and can remove later after I can actually get into Windows? Thank you.

A:OneKey Recovery on New HardDrive

If you had taken advantage of the Windows 10 free upgrade then your "Key" is also registered with Microsoft and you will have the ability to "re-install" Windows 10 on your computer. You will need to look closely for the correct link on the install screen that asks for your windows key, it will be a one line statement, with a check box indicating you are "re-installing" the product. If you have not made your recovery disks, I would strongly recommend doing so at the first opportunity. A new hard disk drive will lack the Lenovo recovery partition as it is blank (unallocated) storage device and will require formatting and partitioning to use correctly. If your original hard disk drive has become unusable or damaged and you do not have the means to create your recovery disks, then you can purchase them from Lenovo support for a moderate fee.Good luck.CB

Hi zhenurik ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Have you also tried One key Recovery from user backup pointing to the external backup that you have created?

It would be great if you also have created a repair disc to attempt repair on current windows .
If you have exhausted other repair methods check on this link for alternate ways to recover but this is not for the Onekey back up recovery as this would help recover Windows corrupted file.

At the moment , we are not yet sure of the integrity of the partition or the physical harddrive. using a rescue image may help system boot up on a separate operating system and run diagnostics.
