Q: Lenovo yoga 2 13 touchscreen issue

Hi all, I have bought 2 weeks ago an Lenovo Yoga 2 13, and I?m very happy with it. But i have one annoying problem with it.The touchscreen is not working correct. If I start the computer up, the first 5 minutes it works fine, but after that the touchscreen is not responding correct, the pointer is going everywhere and zig zag. You can't use it anymore then. I have made a paint drawing to show the problem, i made a few horizontal lines over the screen. none of the lines are straightI hope that you can help me to resolve the problem, it?s very annoying that I can?t use the touchscreen.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

Hey there, I recenently got one of the Lenovo Notebooks of the Yogaseries, which exactly it is, is stated in the title. However, since yesterday I never had any problems with it, I really like it, the convertible function etc., but it seems, that my display registeres touches Im not applying, it touches like everywhere over my screen and I dont even have my hands on the computer. When I restart it or install the touchpad driver from the supportsection for my notebook, it is okay for like 10 mins and then it goes all over again. I found an interesting solution for a similar problem, its in this thread: https://support.lenovo.com/de/de/documents/SF15-I0024 I have literally the same issue, problem is, the fix which is downloadable there, seems to only work for panels from LG, I figured out the hardware ID from my IPS panel, but I cant figure out where its factured or where I can get a fix for this issue. Please run the Hardware and devices trouble-shooter:
Try the followings steps: ? Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter. ? Click ?Hardware and Sound? ? Select "Hardware and Devices" ? Click next to run the trouble-shooter.
 
Also, Install all the patches and available updates from Windows updates.
 
Try the followings steps:  Click "Search" and type "Windows update settings" without quotes and hit enter. Under Updates click on check for updates.

Hi All, So I've had this aesthetically pleasing yoga 3 pro for about a month with the purpose for it to be used as a Uni Laptop.  However I've come across a few issues that I am hoping I can get some help with. Firstly, I've lost all ability to use the touchscreen. Windows Device Managers is seeing it, but I have no way to enable/disable or test. Is there something I am missing? Secodly, through basic use I am finding the CPU and RAM usage well in excess of 80% for a lot of the time, with the system coming to a near grinding halt if I have approximately a dozen chrome tabs open, a couple of office docs and youtube or spotify running....this is a little worrying. Specification wise the laptop should be able to run the with very little hassle. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Just today, the touchscreen on my Yoga Plus stopped working. I have tried everything, including reinstalling drivers, but I just get the message "driver is not intended for this platform." Hi Everyone! I just go my hands on a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 12 touchscreen laptop with an included digitizer.I am experiencing a weird thing with the touchsreen. (It is the full HD version with the digitizer and 10 point touch capabilities)Basically the bottom part (like 5cm from the bottom) of the touchscreen is not responsive until I touch the middle or upper part of the screen. After touching the screen somewhere else the bottom part becomes responsive again.Have you ever experienced such problem?I am currently on Windows 10 Pro and I completely updated all my drivers and also reinstalled everything including Windows but the problem still occurs.Any help would be highly appreciated!

My Lenovo was purchased back in 2015, so the warrenty is expired. Still, up until recently the touchscreen had been working fine. Now, no matter what mode it is in, it doesn't detect my touch. I have gone through every Google-searched solution I could find, none have worked.I have gone to device manager, checked the drivers for updates (they are up to date) but the window doesnt allow me to Disable/Enable the driver. I've used the lenovo website, the companion app and my windows control panel to check for updates but no changes to the touch screen. Running Windows 10 (64x) Solutions, or links to other form posts are appreciated.

Recently the touchscreen on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro stopped working. It is running Windows 10 and the most recent update it received was KB890830. I am getting an error code 10 for the I2C HID device ("A request for the HID descriptor failed"), but when I try to update it, I get a message saying it is already up to date. Disabling and re-enabling hasn't worked and I cannot find the driver on the lenovo website to do a fresh install. Any suggestions to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 710 14 " Signature Edition 2-in-1 PC- bought it two days ago. W10. I have problems with the touchscreen when using it as a tablet. The touchscreen is working perfectly when it's in PC mode. Once I fold it and putting it flat (down at the table etc.)- the screen is no longer responding. I have a brand new yoga 700 and I was ready to ship it back to Lenovo.  My touchscrren were not working properly and I had ghost touches.  I found nothing related to this issue for the yoga 700.
 
However, some people had the same issue with the Yoga 3 14.  see https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht103512
 
After verification, I realized that I have the same hardware (LG) .  I applied the firmware recommended in the article and now my touchscreen work perfectly.

We recently purchased a batch of Yoga 260's.  We wiped them and installed Windows 10 Pro from scratch.  The touchscreen no longer functions.  There is an unknown device in Device Manager and the HID touchscreen driver is missing.  So I assume I need the Touchscreen driver but Lenova is unable to tell me where it is.  This is our first experience with Lenovo support and it has been horrible thus far.  It shouldn't be that hard to find a driver.  Can anyone tell me where it is located?  It is not on the support site. Thanks

Hi,When the technician was replacing the faulty motherboard of my yoga 2 pro (out of warranty) with a new one, he accidentally pulled on the wires of the touchscreen connector cable and 4 of those wires detached from the connector.He couldn't remember the order they were in and they are so minute (can see them closely only with a lens) that he couldn't connect them back either. I have attached a photo below I'd be very grateful if anyone canplease tell me a) What is the right order of these wires (the four that are loose are white, red, orange and black) and is it possible to attach them with something - they are too minute too be soldered, so I don't know what to do.b) If the above is not possible, is it possible to buy this connector cable alone? I recently bought a Yoga 520 from a local Lenovo's partner store. Everything worked fine, until I recently intalled the latest Windows update and restarted the device. I also enclosed the list of Update I installed until today (09/29). I had contacted the store where I bought the laptop and also consulted the local service center, but both of them couldn't resolve the issue.Some efforts I had tried:1. Accessed Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Device Manager > Human Interface Devices > HID Compliant Touch Screen. I had tried to: 1) disable and reenable it, and 2) uninstall it and restart the laptop, but none of them works (the touchscreen still does not detect touch input). 2. Downloaded and installed the latest Wacom Drive, including the Wacom Dual Touch driver. This also does not resolve the issue. 3. Downloaded and installed the latest NVIDIA and Intel HD's graphic card driver. Again, the touch screen is still not responding. 4. Accessed the Universal Serial Bus Controller > USB Root Hub (xCHI) > Properties > Power Management and disabled the "Allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power". It still doesn't work. Some other conditions:1. The Lenovo's Wacom-powered pen works perfectly. The screen detects the digital input, but it does not detect hand/finger touch input.2. From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

A friend of mine brought his Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11E touch - by today because after he did a "clean install of windows 10 Pro. his touchscreen is no longer working...I've just spent the last 2 hrs. installing the "lenovo" drivers and software packages...But can't seem to located the HID touchscreen drivers or any documentation to support the touchscreen on the "Lenovo" site...I've also tried all the "lenovo" whiz bang apps the fix this issue...Does anyone have this model: Intel Celeron N2930 (2.16 GHz),8GB RAM,128GB Solid State Drive,11.6in 1366x768 Touchscreen LCD,Intel 802.11agn wireless,4c Li-Ion,Win8.1 Pro 64 - (Lenovo's description of this PC) that has been able to get the touchscreen working post windows 10 install? Or a link to the correct drivers for the touchscreen? Or could Lenovo support maybe point to these packages so I can get this thing working as marketed...

I bought the Lenovo Yoga 900 a week ago. So far I'm quite happy with the Laptop , but there's one problem I have. The Fan starts spinning wildly every so often . And this drains my battery real quick. I get only about 4-5 hours . It happens while surfing using fiefox / chrome / edge. Task Manager shows that the CPU/ MEMORY Usage of the browsers is extremely high , in turn driving my cpu to a utilization of above 60% with no other apps running .This is a serious bummer , and I have no clue as to what can be done . As if this isn't enough , Windows Compatibility Telemetry is another service that occasionally causes a spike in the CPU usage. That I understand is a Windows issue. But the fan is quite disturbing. Any suggestions would be great  Thanks

I just got the laptop on 9/20/17 and I quickly noticed the touchpad has delay response on google chrome browser and other apps. When i try to copy/paste the words on the browser it has 2-3 sec delayed to highlight and when scrolling and moving the pad it is frozen for a second. I did update the firmware and raised sensitivity but nothing works. anyone knows what the problem is before i exchange this laptop?

We own a Lenovo Yoga 910 and in the last couple days, it is no longer able to charge.  The battery is currently at 13%.  The following 4 situations happen when the power cable (lenovo 45w usb c that came with the laptop) is plugged into the laptop.1) The laptop does not recgonize that the power cable is plugged in at all. 2) In rapid succession, the laptop acts as if the cable is being plugged in and unplugged over and over. The power cable icon will display for about a second, then dissapear, then display, then dissapear, etc.  It will even change the brightness of the screee as it attempts to switch power modes from battery to power.  The only way to stop this behavior is to unplug the cord completely. 3) The laptop shows that the power cord is plugged in, but states that the battery is currently discharging.4) The laptop shows that the power cord is plugged in, says its charging, but the battery continues to drain even though it says it is charging. Windows 10 is fully up to date.  We have run all Lenovo software updates so all Lenovo software is up to date.  The BIOS is also up to date (the June '17 BIOS).  There have been no recent new software installations or physical impacts / changes to the laptop. I have purchaced a 3rd party charger that matches the specs of the Lenovo charger and the same 4 situations happen.  I have confirmed that the charger works to charge other devices. Hello - Have a Yoga 3 Pro that has suddenly decided not to charge. Has been working fine until recently... life of charged battery has been normal and the charging time has been normal as well. I swapped out chargers, and the new one did not work, so I'm assuming it is an issue with the connector on the laptop body. When I push the power button, the orange light blinks three times and nothing else happens. Is there any way to get this to charge, even if temporarily? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I posted here awhile ago and no one has been able to help with the issue. I have a problem with my Yoga 700 where I have to constaltly disconnect/reconnect to my wifi network--typically when I am using multiple tabs or browsing while streaming. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling my WIFI driver and have had no success. How can I fix this?! thanks

I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 700-11ISK six days ago.  Like others posts I have read, I too have noticed a strong unpleasant odour eminating from the exterior of my computer.  The smell is mainly coming from the top lid (screen) of the computer.  It reminds me of the smell cats leave when they have 'sprayed' their territory.  If the PC has been in a room all day, the smell is quite overpowering when I come home in the evening.   I was thinking of wiping the surface but I do not want to cause any damage until I have received advice on the matter.

I don't know if this will help you or not, but when I upgraded my yoga 2 pro to windows 10, I had to go into device manager and manualy update the graphics drivers. Windows would not do it automatically. Maybe that would help fix your issue.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 laptop just over a year old. My Autistic little man was happily playing Roblox when it crashed. He turned it off and on again and the laptop says repairing disk errors and just stays like that day and night. So I have bought Windows 10 on USB as it doesn't have a disk drive but and I stupidly thought it would be as simple as plugging it in the USB drive and hey presto it would be fixed. But it's not.

Could anyone explain the steps I need to take to fix it as I promised my son I'd get it done by now and when you set an Autistic child's expectations and you don't meet them, woe betide you!

Hi Guys.Need help.I have Lenovo Yoga 2 11 ( 2years old). There was no issue till 2 days back. Have given the issue details below.Details :1. Laptop went into issue - " Windows is not responding" and then got shut down.2. Tried to restart. After booting, the screen did show that "Windows is attempting repair". It was in the same state for more than 24 hours.3. I did a hard shut down and tried to restart. But then it displayed "No Bootable device, hit any key".4. I downloaded Windows Recovery media (Windows 10 X64) to USB and booted from there to fix windows start up issue repair.5. After repair, tried to reboot. Faces the issue (point 3) again and again.6. Looked into the BIOS set up and found that nothing is there under 'EFI section'. The Boot mode is 'UEFI' and not allowing me to edit, so can't change it to Legacy.7. Browsed through Lenovo support forum and other web help for a day, tried everything, but not able to change boot set up or boot from harddrive.8. I thought Hard drive may have been disconnected, but on BIOS Information section, I can see Hard disk information. So it seems hard disk is good. Can anybody help me with valuable input please ? I just bought a new Lenovo YOGA 500 Intel® HD Core? i5 Processor, 8Gb RAM, 1Tb Storage, 15.6 inch Full HD Touchscreen 2-in-1 Laptop. I'm yet to take it out of the packaging (thank heavens) before I noticed on the website I bought it from under Features of the Laptop it states:  Wifi Enabled: NDoes this mean there's no WiFi capabilities on the laptop? Secondly, after perusing this forum, I've discovered the laptop seems to have a WiFi issue, the question thus is would any of you with the same laptop advise I keep it? Thanks

So here is a new thing that happens with this Yoga 700.It was on my desk in lap top mode and i was away. i came back and had to log in to windows.When i logged in, the screen was sideways.  Another time it was flipped upside down.  This is not due to moving it. it was just on my desk with no change to it.  So add this to the list of weird things this pc does.  This would go under annoying.  the slow wifi connections would be more annoying though.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13, which came with an i5-3337U processor, 4GB RAM and 128SSD. I replaced the ram with http://www.integralmemory.com/sites/default/files/uploads/dpdf/IN3V8GNAJKXLV.pdf as I often found that 4gb wasn't enough. My laptop is now running at about 60 degrees celcius for each core. I don't know what it was before as I hadn't measured it before, but the fans sound louder. Have i installed ram that isn't compatible or something? It runs well and multitasking is now better, it just seems louder and hotter than before. Thanks in advance.

So I have a new Lenovo Yoga 710 14". When I use the webcam on messenger to chat with my wife, I can see myself, I can hear her, but I cannot see her. It's just a black screen. My wife can see me perfectly through her phone so I know it's something on my end. Any idea what it could be? I mean, I can hear her but can't see her

I have just installed Win 8 on a Lenovo Yoga 2 11 Laptop.

Originally l updated to Windows 10 and the machine completely freaked. Having struggled with an ISO image on a USB stick of Windows 10, l've reverted to reinstalling a fresh copy of Windows 8, which is what the laptop originally came with.

After installing Windows 8 and restarting the machine it repaired D Drive then machine shut down, and upon restart it is just stuck at "Getting Ready".

What should l do as lm getting frustrated, having been stuck on this screen for 5 hours now?

I have a brand new HD that l could install and attempt the installation on, but would appreciate any help or suggestions first.

What is on the D: drive? Is it a part of the same disk as Windows C: or is it a separate HDD?
Try restarting and see how it goes. If you restart a couple times, you will get the advanced menu and can try a Startup Repair.

I am using a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro 1370 running Windows 10. The touchscreen never fails to work but the touchpad however causes a lot of problems. It will randomly stop working when I am using it, often when opening my laptop or when right clicking, but often without any apparent cause as well. One temporary method I have found that somtimes fixes the issue is to go into the HIDs in Device Manager and disable/re-enable the 9CE1 I2C HID Device. Sometimes this option will have a yellow triangle indicating that the device will not start and display this message in the driver properties:
 
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A request for the HID descriptor failed.
 
Other times however there is no acknowledgement of driver issues and attempting to enable the devie will cause the device manager to not respond, restarting my PC in recovery mode after a "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE" message and wiping my recent files. I have tried everything from uninstalling/reinstalling the driver, updating the BIOS and disabling the driver to boot in safe mode. When updating the driver software through the device manager, it says the latest version is installed: The driver version is 10.0.10586.0, it says it is from 2006-06-21.
 
Has anyone else had this issue before with their Yoga? Anyone know a solution?

I recently replaced my Lenovo Yoga 2 pro touch display, it was cracked and touch went crazy, the crack was from the side which made it usable by disabling the touch drivers. After a while i decided to replace the screen and get back the touch feature. but now i'm suffering that i cannot use it in tablet mode for the following reasons: After screen replacement, when lid is closed it thinks that it is in tablet mode and screen stays on and doesn't go to sleep mode as it was before replacement, while if I put it in tablet position screen goes off and it goes to sleep mode thinking it is in closed lid position (i think). if i just  lift it up only 2 mm from tablet position it gets back on.Please advise !!
