My laptop is an Aspire V3-572-326T model, and it currently has a broken LCD Screen and looks like ink is spilled inside it. I was wondering if I can just replace my V3 LCD Screen with any other Aspire V3 LCD Screen with the same resolution of course. But the problem is that it was a touch screen laptop, so would I have to get a touch LCD as well? Or is it ok for me to just get a normal LCD Screen and replace it? The touch thing is working fine by the way. Also, after the LCD screen broke, my laptop has been having issues booting to windows normally. It goes to the blue screen and gives me the UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME error and goes to a full black screen but I can see the mouse. I can't get into windows at all and it won't let me use the recovery system or repair. Did the bad LCD Screen cause this or is this just another issue?
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
You couldn't use just any Acer screen. Here are a few for your laptop,http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=v3-572+touchscreen&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1... When you get your screen out, post a pic of the tags on the back.Read other 1 answers

Hi there. My baby threw a mug on my HP Laptop screen and it has gone blank since then. Probably broken. I want to ask how or where I can go fix it or replace it in Leeds, United Kingdom or let me know if I can order a replacement online . Thanks.
Help us help you. What model laptop is it? We can certainly find the screen online likely for much less than you fear it will be and youtube has very good instructional videos for replacing just about any laptop screen. On most models it is not too hard to do, with some exceptions. http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c00033108Read other 2 answers
A careless family member has succeeded in cracking the screen of a fairly new Toshiba z830. It's broken quite badly, so I doubt it will be reparable.
I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on the best way to go about getting a replacement, bonus points for any information in the Melbourne area.
There is only one reasonable advice: contact Toshiba service in Melbourne and let them replace the display. I know it will be pretty expensive but, believe me, it should be done by authorized service.
My girlfriend just brought her laptop to me and said can you fix this? Looks like she dropped it pretty hard on a corner and the screen is shot, the housing and hinges look good, can anyone offer any adive before i start messing with this laptop. Ive build a dozen or so desktops but have never really messed with laptops. Any advice or help would be greatly aprreciated.
Easy to do
Its not a complicated item to change.. You will need a T-9 Torx driver.. Pull the rubber pads off the Bezel.. (all 5 4 small corner and the one long center top) Then the rest is downhill.. If you need a screen I have one here..
My case is broken on my pavilion and id like to replace it, it is broken on the outer screen and 3 different places on the keyboard side. can anyone provide me with a link to buy a new casing or if i can send it off to a HP repair site asnd if so how much would it cost to do so? Thankyou
The "outer casing" is in multiple parts. The manuals page is down right now but we can find you the parts exploded diagram and pick out just the ones you need. Where do you live (country)?Read other 1 answers
Hi, i have an HP dv9000 laptop with a broken headphone jack. The headphone jack was working and i was listening to music while it broke. My laptop has two headphone jacks and a microphone jack. The two headphone jacks both broke at the same instant when i plugged in a second headphone. The problem seems to be hardware related because when both versions of windows that i have installed, windows 7 and windows xp, do not give out sound to the headphone jacks. Good thing i have another laptop of the exact same model that broke a while back. i could take the needed part from the broken computer and build it into the working one. All i need is some instructions on how to do so.
Thank you for any help.

The desktop I currently use came with a wireless keyboard and mouse setup along with the little dongle/receiver... I never used it because I had better already but I gave it to my younger sister and she broke the dongle/receiver a while back so I bought a little blue tooth one to compensate but I can't get it to find the keyboard and mouse.... I tried installing the receiver hardware and doing the "add" search but it couldn't find the mouse and keyboard... I hit the connect button for five seconds before doing the search to make it open to connect but the wizard couldn't find anything so I went into settings and set everything according to what I found online but it still couldn't find it... I searched around online a little more and came across instructions to setup the computer for blue tooth interactions by going into services.msc but still the mouse and keyboard are not found by the blue tooth receiver... I thought any blue tooth receiver/dongle would work to catch the signals and allow the keyboard and mouse to work once more, rather then become a complete paper weight... Am I doing somthing wrong? If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it.
Keyboard model number is: HP 5189URFK
Mouse model number is: HP 5189URF
This is the dongle/receiver that I bought
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices
My guess is that the keyboard and mouse are wireless but NOT Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a published, industry standard but most wireless keyboards and mice on the market use a different, non-standard technology than Bluetooth. You may be able to buy a replacement wireless receiver directly from HP.
If the keyboard and mouse support Bluetooth they will most likely have the Bluetooth symbol on them to indicate that they are Bluetooth.
I'm using a Bluetooth dongle similar to the one that you purchased on this netbook I'm using right now and it works fine with my Targus Bluetooth mouse.

Is this fixable or will i have to replace my display screen?
I have an Acer Aspire AS3810TZ-4806 and have owned it for a good 4-5 years. I've had some LCD issues for a couple years now where the light flickers, have big black spots and FINALLY the screen gave out. it's almost completly dark now. You can faintly see images. After some research on replacement, a compatible Acer LCD on Ebay would run roughly $60. I've concluded that It's either the bulb inside (CCFL??) or the inverter that may have an issue, but I have no way of testing which is broken since I have no spare LCD screen to test or a little tester device.
What I've discovered was my lcd screen's model # was : B133XW01 V2 . After googling this model # and a search on Ebay, I've discovered a Dell Latitude 13 or a couple other Dell brands share this same model, the difference is it says " V1." Im assuming version 1 or something, and the one I have is V2. The connectors look the same. I feel like it might work. What do you think? Below are a couple Ebay links im looking at, Does that "H/W" code matter?
Thanks in advance!
Hello everyone I have little to no experience with computers. I replaced my broken laptop screen with a new one online. The screen is only working in safe mode. When I plug it in to a television via HDMI it is good to go. I would deeply appreciate any help with this.
Laptop is a Sony Vaio VPCCB25FX
Old screen is LP 156WF1 (TL)(C1)
New screen is LP156WF1 (TL)(C2)
It is up to date with drivers. I have no clue how to fijx this
If the screen in working in the bios and safe mode, then the screen is indeed working.
If you boot into safe mode with networking, can you redownload the display adapter driver?
You could also try Clean Install Windows 7

I have a Samsung laptop (not sure of the model), and the screen broke months ago. Since then I've been using an external monitor without any issues until today. When I start up my laptop I can never see anything displayed on the external monitor until the log in screen. The monitor will always go into hibernation mode until the log in screen.
However, today it's taking longer to start up and I cant see what's going on. At first I thought windows was performing a disk scan but i waited over an hour! So that must not be the issue. I want to find a way to display what is happening on the external monitor if possible. I have been endlessly searching all day online for help. I would really appreciate any help/advice.

I used a Samsung NP300E5A-A02UB laptop for over a year through an external monitor, ever since the screen broke on it. Never had any problems with it besides that. Until one day I, not thinking about it, shut down my PC through holding down the power button, because it was being too slow, couldn't even shut it down normally. But little did I know, doing that would make sure I can't use it again, as far as I can tell. Because I shut it down using the power button, I'm assuming the screen came up, the one either to repair or tell me the pc shut down incorrectly, or bios, or whatever it is. But since my external monitor doesn't turn on until after my pc is signing in, it won't turn on. Normally it would just kick on automatically when signing in. So I'm completely blind to what I'm doing and can't get my monitor on. Literally all I need is a sneak peak at it to get it to turn on all the way, but I don't know how. I've tried a few things already, that I've found online, but never though to ask about it til now.
I've tried doing the little closing and then quickly opening up the laptop screen to fool the pc into turning it on.
I've tried manually unplugging my screen, in hopes it would use my external as a primary instead.
I've pressed the appropriate F key, or combination keys to turn it on.
Possibly other things, but I forget, it's been a little while.
All of these with no luck.
Literally all I may... Read more

I know the laptop itself works just fine because I plugged it up to a different monitor and I was able to use it like normal.

Hey guys i have a question i have a Philips LCD PC Monitor where the board is fried its a 23 inch,
I also have a Samsung 19 inch same year but only 19 inch but all the wiring color codes are a exact match.
Can i use my 23 inch with the Samsung, or will it fry my board.
I can imagine some issues, I SHOULD NOT USE THE BUTTONS ON THE OLD SAMSUNG SCREEN because they do different things , they have 3 things in common wiring colorcodes are a perfect match power button and the "auto feature BUT not located the same place on the side of screen only the power button match" so i should prob not use the auto features or menu because even though both screens have that feature, my guess is that because they are not in the same place it might send the wrong signal
My Samsung has
Power menu up down auto buttons
Power up menu down turbo auto buttons on the side.
But i really just need the power button everything else Windows controls
BUT the size might be a problem if Windows does not control all of it because my samsung is a 19 inch and if i replace screen with a 23 inch well my Samsung MB still thinks its a 19 Inch
So can i use my 23 phillips 23 inch with my samsung 19 inch "replacing the 19 inch with the 23.)
The reason i want to do this is because i get bigger and my Phillips has a much better Image.
I was totally amazed ever color code and screen fittings are a match, they are both made in Taiwan same year.
So i am guessing same factory made it.

not sure how to change the loading screen but i know it can be done in XP and Vista...you may want to research (google) that.
The IE8 settings for saving passwords are in Tools> Internet Options> Content> AutoComplete> Settings.
Do you want a program that will save your passwords and auto-enter them? Like RoboForm? or are you looking for something to view typed in passwords? If the first...use Roboform. If second search google for something like Asterisk Password Revealer.
please could anyone give me some advise or instructions on how to remove and replace the screen on my laptop?
The outer pane of glass is intact but the actual screen itself is damaged.
It would also be a great help if anyone knew the product number of the replacement screen that way I should be able to buy the correct one.

First of all I have to say that screen replacement and generally notebook disassembling is pretty complicated and tricky. You have to remove a lot of screws you have to be very careful. So it?s not easy to replace the screen.
Maybe you can find some detailed instructions if you search with Google?
And a replacement screen or number you can get from your authorized service provider. Just contact the guys and ask for that, they will help you and can exchange the screen too.
Hi I need to replace a screen on the above laptop - however I am unsure which screen I need - there seems to be one with a dual back light - and a 17.3" screen size as wellas the 17" - any ideas how I could find out which part I need ?
Look on the back of the screen itself there should be some numbers on the back of the screen type model number from the back of the screen into google or eBay that will give you the correct screen.

Hi, I have a gateway solo 2500 laptop (12.1'' tft screen)
The thing stopped working 3 yrs ago. Power on, cd spins, hd spins, fan spins.. nothing after that. Wasn't about to pay gateway $400 to fix it. Recently figured it out.. I just needed to reseat the processor. Problem is that in the last 3 years somewhere the screen got cracked so bad that I can only see a small fraction of it, though external monitor is fine.
So I purchased another Gateway Solo 2500 with a 12.1'' tft screen and I want to swap the screens (the other one I bought is a 266mhz MMX processor whereas mine is a celeron 400) so how do I do that.
Has anyone done this? Are there any things I should watch out for, is it super simple or is this something to leave to the pros?
I'm great with desktops, not so experienced with laptops.
Are the cases identical ? If they are, then you need to start taking the unit apart until you get down to removing the Lid's hinges. There should be a cable that goes from the MOBO to the display. Unplug it and swap lids.
This is based on my experience disassembling my HP laptop to fix the connection cable, which was being pinched by the hinge.
Of course the other possibility is to swap the newer MOBO and drives into the other case's base unit.
