Service responsible for detailed info on errors/crashes

Q: Service responsible for detailed info on errors/crashes

I think I may have disabled a windows service that tells me what was the specific error or reason for applications to crash because when some of my apps/games ( that are known to crash ) only reports a small box that says this program has stopped working.. I remember it should be giving me more info like "daorigins.exe has crashed bla bla bla"

Preferred Solution: Service responsible for detailed info on errors/crashes

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Service responsible for detailed info on errors/crashes

I think you mean the Error Reporting Service. To change its settings do the following:

Click on Start, then select Control Panel, select System and Security, select Action Center, select Change Action Center settings, select Problem reporting settings, select Change report settings for all users, select one of the first 3 options, click on Ok button to apply the settings.

Ok, so this has been happening for some time now. I would like to say ever
since I installed IE7. In fact, lots of errors have happened since IE7, but
that's another day. Ready? Here we go: Like some other folks here, I keep
getting Explorer.exe crashes. Dr. Watson references it to my Documents and
Settings folder in the temp file where you would find the file: appcompat.txt

Now, key point: For my situation, (btw, I am using Windows XP Media Center
Edition, SP2 on a Sony Vaio Desktop - scanned for viruses and spyware/malware
- none found) this error ONLY (and I do mean ONLY) happens when I attempt to
log into eBay while having AOL Software up and running at the same time.

So, the Windows Explorer Error Signature Window pops up and naturally states
the reporting details, blah blah, and for more infomation regarding this
error message click here link. The "error signature" states the following:

AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.3156 ModName: Shell32.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.3241 Offset: 001d02eb

The referencing text, "appcompat.txt" file contains this information:

Firefox has been having sudden frequent crashes. Internet Explorer shuts down and gives me the message "runtime error." These crashes most often happen on the three main websites we use most frequently (Yahoo, Facebook, and a weather website). There is no warning when the crashes happen.

I've tried all the Firefox crash troubleshooting suggestions, with no satisfactory results. I regularly run scans with Malwarebytes, SUPERAntiSpyware Free, and AVG Free. AVG does pick up something called STDRT.EXE whenever I run a Super Mario game that we downloaded. AVG gives me the option of sending to virus vault, or "allowing". I've done both. I'm fairly sure that STDRT.EXE is not the culprit, since we've been playing Mario for a couple months, and the crashes have just happened in the last couple days. I'm no expert of course, which is why I'm here for help. Since the crashes started happening, I have dumped the Mario game onto a cd and uninstalled it from the computer.

I've also tried to do a system restore to a few dates previous to when this problem started, but it says "unable to restore" or something of that nature.....

Thanks for any help you can give.

A:Is STDRT.EXE responsible for recent crashes?

Windows are also very slow in opening.

When Firefox crashes, up comes Mozilla crash reporter which gives me the option of restarting Firefox or quitting. If I choose to restart then restore session, it brings me to the page that just crashed when I clicked on a link. If I click on the link it will crash again.

On the other hand, sometimes we can browse for quite some time before a crash happens. Very confusing

I have windows 8 installed, so someday Skype stopped working and there was a service preventing it from working, so i went to the safe mode, and copied the names of the services running under safe mode (because Skype worked there like a charm), but after some period i started having some trouble in various things, like file sharing on the network because the service was disabled, and now i cannot add a new device, like the driver of a huawei 3G internet key, or the microsoft virtual pc network driver.
Now im sure it has something to do with a disabled service, but i cant find which one responsible for the driver management.

Thank you.

My computer (Windows XP, all patches but SP3) has started crashing and now it is getting more and more frequent. No BSOD. Just "click" and lights out. Nothing predictable about it, either.

I am getting hordes of DCOM errors in event viewer. Event ID 10010, with description "The server {8BC3F05E-D65B-11D0-A075-00C04FB68820} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout."

While chasing this down in an amateur fashion, I found out that the WMI service (Windows Management Instrumentation) which is set to start automatically is not starting. Nor can the service be manually started. When I try to start it manually, I get the following Services alert popup "Could not start the Windows Management Instrumentation service on Local Computer. Error 193:0xc1
So... is this related? And can I sort this out without doing a massive renstall of the OS and software?

Hi everyone, long story short I recently got a new desktop with Windows XP x64 installed. Unlike any PC I've used in the past many years, I have found no way to view and edit detailed info about audio files (MP3 mostly).

I've had no luck in researching this issue on my own since I don't even know the correct verbage, but basically I can no longer hover over a file and see its bitrate, or right click, go to properties, and see the full "Artist, Album, Year, Genre, Title, Track #". Needless to say, I can't edit this data either.

This is incredibly frustrating with a library of 100-some gigs of mp3s. I'm also positive the files aren't corrupted, and baffled that I haven't been able to find any documentation on this.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

1st post at SevenForums. Let me try to summarize my situation with numbered bullet points:

01) Several BSODs over 6 months.
02) Last one on or about 1-1-15 to 1-2-15. Occurred while studying a photo on Photoshop (hands off mouse & keyboard). Could not read bsod text as it went by too fast.
03) Gateway (Acer mobo) rebooted and skipped boot SSD and booted from original HD w. 2 yr. old configuration.
04) I rebooted and it came up in the SSD only to bsod again shortly after.
05) To make a long story short, I restored an image taken on 12-30-14 (1 or 2 days before the current BSOD - coincidence?).
06) Thinking all was now OK, I tried to recalibrate my monitor as this had not been done for 9 mo. I use the Spyder2Express colorimeter. It would not complete the process but showed an error popup. I could not track down the error and believe it is irrelevant. [Error 4 (SpyderUSB.cpp 324)] I attached it to a 2nd box and calibrated that monitor to see if a Windows update file may have caused an error, but the process completed smoothly. The problem appears to be elsewhere, but probably in the files below.
07) I ran the sfc /scannow from an elevated cmd prompt and found some errors in System32\spool\drivers\64\xxx and will upload this file.
08) I booted from a Win7 boot/repair disk and ran the startup files repair program a number of times. It repaired some files, but I still cannot run the colorimeter without it failing.
09) NOTE: The log files I'm uploading come from the restored im... Read more

Haven't posted here before, but I'm certainly pleased with the fact this place exists and that I have the opportunity to ask my question.

Ever since I built my desktop machine here I've been getting very random crashes when I'm doing something that has the computer playing sound. When I'm 2boxing World of Warcraft or Playing music, or a DVD.

My machine specs are as follows:
Opteron 170

Evga 7800GT CO edition

The STOP error I am getting has these parameters....

Now, I've analyzed my dump file found below:

Hello and welcome to TSF.

All bugchecks are video-related. The fact that a System Restore didn't help tells me that there's something wrong with that graphics card. I truly think your best bet is to send it back to the manufacturer or RMA the card.

I find it strange that it's so systematic if it's hardware-related, though. One thing you can try to do from Safe Mode is reinstall DirectX: Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer

If that doesn't help, you can try removing the video driver via Device Manager (help here if you need it: Accessing Device Manager | DT Roberts) and seeing if you can get into Windows normally.

Keep us posted. Best of luck.

Hey Everyone,
Im having problems with my computer and its driving me insane! Please help me. Even as a techie, I cant figure this one out...

I was working on my computer when it froze. It has done that before so I shut it off and turned it back on.

Well I turned it back on to a Windows XP boot logo that faded in half way then stopped. The blue status bar didnt show up but the XP logo faded in about half way.

Anyways, I tried rebooting in safe mode to no avail.

I tried booting with the Last Known Configuration to no avail.

I tried Memtest86, alls good.

I tried Microsofts Mem Test, alls good.

I tried booting to Linux. That worked but then it froze too! I shut the computer off (because it froze) and booted it back up and now SuSE wont even load!

I tried booting the Windows XP CD so I could repair the installation but it wont load, it hangs on "Setup is starting Windows".

I tried updating the mobo bios.

I tried resetting bios config back to defaults.

The day before I just ran Spybot and Adaware with latest definitions.

When I try to boot to Safe mode it hangs on nv_agp.sys (that may or may not have anything to do with it).

I have an MSI K7N2G-L mobo, 2x 512MB Crucial DDR400(?) RAM, im trying to boot from a fairly new (3 month old maybe) Maxtor 60GB hard drive 7200RPM. assuming you downloaded the utility, boot off of it and test your hdd for any errors. good luck

Hi guys,

One of my coworkers has a Datamax Allegro 2 printer that he needs to print special adhesive labels. It's a super old printer, which actually uses RS-232 (serial). I think it can also use parallel but that's not important as both show up as COM ports.

I tried the 64-bit drivers we had initially, which were from 2013 and worked fine with Windows 8.1, which is what his computer had previously. I upgraded him to Windows 10 Enterprise (build 1611) last night. Anyway, the printer would install but then give an error any time I tried to do a test page. Eventually I got to the point where it would error when trying to re-add the printer too. I used the Seagull Driver Manager program to "remove all Seagull drivers" and after a few reboots, it complained about it being unable to delete some folder in C:/Windows/system32/spool/x64 (one that was last modified hours before I ever touched the printer!)

I went on Seagull's website and saw that there was a newer driver from September 2015. Still only mentions Windows 8 but I figured it was worth a try. Windows 8 stuff is supposed to work with 10! So I tried that, reinstalled the printer using their tool. Same thing - it was added but always errors when trying to print. I also notice that for some odd reason, it keeps setting itself as the default printer whenever I open printing properties. Probably unrelated but still weird.

So here's where I tried to do some digging. I noticed that in order to install the ... Read more

First I want to say I am new to this forum and have been out of the computer building loop for a while it used to be so much simpler. Whatever knowledge I have I will gladly share with others.

My system was built around 2 years ago but should still run some of the games I am having trouble with no problem.

First its a home built system I built in early 2002 I have been having this same problem on and off but now I am tired of it, and frankly want to actually use this thing.

Games I am having problems with are Serious Sam (I know this isnít a good example as it is a temperamental game as it is) Unreal2, Undying, and Runaway sometimes as well as others. Those are the most recent, and are the quickest I can get to lock up.

The lockup will occur at different parts but near the first 15 minutes to 45 minutes Runaway being the exception because I have played it for 5 hours before a lockup. Most the time the sound is stuck on one note. BUT once in a while the sound will have a small loop. I have to do soft reset at the case, as the keyboard is not responsive.

Specs I will be as thorough as I can here:

I have a problem of losing all my shared folders of my not yet mounted drives every time I reboot. The problem is, I use TrueCrypt on a few drives and have folders shared on those drives.. So, windows never remembers those shared folders since I have not yet entered the password to mount them.

I was wondering if any knew what service it is that is responsible for shared folders? That way, I can set it to manual and start that after I mount my drives. And WAHLAH! Winders will then have all drives there to rememebr the shares..

Any ideas?

As we all know, "No Good Deed Shall Go Unpunished." This forum's power user (and maestro) fdegrove just helped me with one problem, but maybe we've kicked over a rock and there are creepy crawlies underneath. Maybe an onion of issues - a plethora of problems. (OK - I'll stop the mismatched metaphors.)

But there seem to be a bunch of issue-threads around the web regarding CDPusersvc, which might be Connected Devices Platform Service. Maybe this excellent forum and its power users can give us a global fix.

First, I got a particular error regarding "CDP Activity Store", and fdegrove walked me through the fix. See http://www.tenforums.com/performance...tml#post829280 and following posts. (But if you have the same issue, you really need to read that thread from the start.) So we fixed that 10016 error.

Second, I got a new error 10010 server timeout regarding "CDP User Service Notifications Host". See http://www.tenforums.com/performance...tml#post829730 and fdegrove's undoubtedly sage response in the same thread.

Third, I have another new Event Viewer error message with this CDP thingy.
This is my third separate error with CDP ! (By the way, I am assuming that "CDP" means "Connected Devices Platform", but please correct me if I'm wrong.)
Here it is:

Have had a few inquiries lately from customers about upgrading laptops. All my experience so far has been with desktops, and I understand that laptops can be "tricky" to work on.
Does anyone know of any good resources on the web with info about laptop upgrading/repair? How about sources for service manuals (other than the manufacturers).
Thanks in advance.

I've occasionally been getting "S.M.A.R.T. Status Bad: Backup Drive and Replace" error messages for a 100GB Western Digital drive since I re-connected it last night after unsuccessfully troubleshooting a WIndows installation.

I fear the magnetic end of a dual-ended screwdriver may have accidentally got too close to the drive (I'd been using it error-free for weeks). No errors are reported when scanning the surface of the drive with Windows Disk Management, CHKDSK or the Western Digital diagnostic utility but the error would reappear, often at the next reboot (only to then disappear again after a few more reboots).

I checked the S.M.A.R.T. Disk information and nothing seems too alarming, except for the UltraDMA CRC Error Rate: the current value is 200, the threshold is 0 and the worst value is 253. How can the worst value be higher then the current value?! Would this indicate a problem with S.M.A.R.T. Disk Information that could be triggering a false error message? Thanks to all.

A:intermittent S.M.A.R.T. errors: corrupt S.M.A.R.T. info?

It is a long standing myth that bringing something slightly magnetic near a HDD can corrupt it or cause problems.

While this is true for floppy drives, hard drives are not susceptible to it. You'd need an extremely powerful magnet to damage data on a hard drive. A magnet near a hard drive WHILE it is on can cause problems with data currently being transferred, but that is it. AFter all, remember, there is a powerful magnetic inside the drive itself for the motor and actuator.

If you are getting "random" smart errors, I'd suggest backing up the drive and RMA'ing it, provided it is only that drive.

Hello all,

I used Crystal Disk Info for the very first time. Thing is I was shocked to see this.

For Drive T I did the chkdsk /f but the most weird thing was it shows no bad sectors on the drive what so ever see screenshot below

The rest of the drives marked as caution show this

Now can someone be kind enough please to explain these to me. I am a noob at this so I need simple English as what to do and how to do it please. I would really appreciate all your help.

In the meantime I have started to make a backup of my Drive T as I am writing this to you. Please help.

A:Crystal Disk Info Errors

I will answer in simple terms. The drive marked bad must be backed up. You may lose your stuff at any time
The drives that show caution are not quite as bad, but again it may fail. Backup your stuff now. I would think about buying a new hard drive. The hard drive may fail at any time. It will cost a few dollars now, but will save you a lot of pain and more dollars down the road.

Hi. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about a program called Bonjour Service. I realized it was on my system today when I got a popup from my firewall. It started with just a few programs on my computer that had side by side configuration errors. I was advised to uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, but some would not reinstall correctly.

Several of the shortcuts on my computer are no longer working.

Hi! I recently installed Windows 8 Pro on my ancient Acer Aspire 4736 laptop. Was actually an in-place upgrade, it had been running Windows 7 Ultimate before. So installed some updates. After installing them, I noticed that when I entered the PC info page (or system properties), Explorer crashes. I searched the problem in the internet, and I found out that I should remove the KB2871389 update. It worked, but I'm not happy.

Is there anyway that I could install the said update but get no more crashes from the said situation?

PS just reply the files I'll need to be uploading. Thanks

A:PC info crashes because of KB2871389 update

You could try running sfc /scannow as admin, then use DISM command, run sfc /scannow again(atleast 3 times) follow the instructions in the tutorial below, then download the update and install. If you have any third party Anti Virus program installed, just uninstall them and use windows defender temporarily.

Several days ago I downloaded and installed many updates. I was waiting for a large file to finish downloading before I restarted the computer when the power went out and shut everything down. Apparently the improper shutdown with the pending reboot after windows updates were installed screwed something up. Now I can't update anything under the Windows 7 tab.

For example, if you open the update page it will be in sections. I have a section for Office updates that I can download and update fine, as well as every other section (that I've tried so far). The only section that won't download anything and allow me to install the update is the Windows 7 section with the updates such as Security Updates for Windows 7, Update for Windows 7, Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool, Microsoft .NET Framework and Security Updates for .NET Framework. Anything under the Windows 7 section will not download. I tried downloading a single update of about 15kB. I left it running overnight and the next day it was still downloading. Then I cancelled that one and selected a single Excel update of about 50 MB under the Office section. It downloaded and installed in seconds.

(While typing this and trying various updates I found that I can now no longer download the Office updates either so it appears to be affecting all updates now not just the ones in the Windows 7 category)

I ran the Windows Update Fixit Tool with the result of "service registration is missing or corrupt" htt... Read more

Good morning,

I own a computer with a Pentium Presccot 3.20 Mhz and 1024 RAM Megas.
I am using Windows XP with Servicepacks 1 and 2. My motherboard is an Abit AI7 and my graphic card is a Gigabyte Radeon 800X. Everytime I exit one of my games after everything went OK with the game, for instance: Far Cry or Lock On, my computer crashes and restarts.

The problem seems to be originated by flight simulators like Falcon 4 and Lock on. I must point out that for these games I have connected to the computer an Afterburner II Thrustmaster joystick and I had connected (and I still have) a P3000 Wireless Saitek gamepad. The manual of the Saitek gamepad adviced to disconect from the computer any other game controler, though boht controlers seem to be working fine. It could be generating the problem.

I'd check your ATI driver for your video. It may have an update for this at ATI's website. In other words, see what version and date your video driver is, then see if there is a newer driver for your video card. Most likely this is an hardware issue with your video card and some games.

I use the onboard soundcard, and have no PCI cards installed.

For starters: I built this machine about two and a half years ago, and it has been rock solid for the last two and a half years up until about a week ago.

Here's my issue: I started getting various crashes, everything from DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL to NTFS.sys or fasttx2k.sys (the onboard RAID controller of my motherboard's driver) to no BSOD and just random reboots.

I've got a fair bit of PC building experience and extra hardware laying around, so I decided to troubleshoot the problem for a bit myself before asking for help. I've cleaned all the parts with compressed air, and all the contacts of the RAM cards and my video card, but still no luck, the system still crashed.

I started by running memtest for a night, and it got through 8 passes on all 2GB of RAM with no errors. Kingston is usually quality RAM, so I didn't really think this was the problem.

Then, I unplugged my HDD's from the RAID controller, and stuck in an old IDE HDD I had laying around and formatted it to a new ... Read more

Okay, this is what I found:

Your first two Minis point to driver fault with tcpip.sys which is a file essential for a Windows based machine machine to use tcp/ip protocols (use Networking or the Internet).

There was also this warning that ntoskrnl.exe was unabled to be verified by checksum; therfore there is the possibility it could be either corrupted or missing.

* Microsoft has information on errors with tcpip.sys

Third Minidump - amdk8.sys which is an AMD Processor Driver required by motherboards supporting AMD Athlon processors.

In all three minies you will find them pointing to either X64_0xD1 errors (the first two) or X64_IP_MISALINGED (third one).

I know you did a fresh reinstall of XP, but the dumps are pointing to faulty drivers as the issues. Could it be your CPU???

By the way, I know several people who have the same motherboard and they all say the same thing, "Rock Solid."

Then there are the ports, one of the ones open with firefox is reported as bad, and when I look it up it says Matrix Maverick.
Could someone please help me and tell me what it all means. Also should there be so many open ports?

Hello everyone.
I have a BSOD/Stop Error problem that I am at my wits end in trying to fix.
Basically, starting a few days ago and getting worse these last 2 days my computer is randomly (as in, at random times/intervals) yet frequently (as in within a few minutes of booting) BSOD'ding.
The crashes don't seem to be related to a single driver and as far as I can tell, during no specific task.
Recommended troubleshooting files are attached.
Here is my system run-down:
? Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255) - fully up-to-date and installed from disc on the 2nd of February on a freshly formatted 1TB HDD
?My system itself varies in age as it has been upgraded over time - between 2006 and now.
?CPU: AMD Athlon 6400+
?GPU: Nvidia 8800GT
?MoBo: I am not actually sure - this is because for the last month (since just before I installed Windows 7) I have been using an "old" Dell Motherboard (From an E521) while my "usual" motherboard is being repaired (Asus are pretty damned slow here in Europe...), I know it has an Nforce 400 chipset.

Just as a note: All drivers are up-to-date.

A couple of things to note prior to my uploading the requested files: I had to do the diagnostic (and type this post) in Safe-Mode (with networking) and that at this moment in time my Graphics card and sound-card are NOT inside my computer (was part of my troubleshooting and I haven't seen any point in reinser... Ok, I managed to get the Perfmon done and here it is, I also included a DxDiag since I did one earlier, thought it could do no harm.
Again, thanks and I hope it helps.

Does anyone has info on troubles with stopping Network List Service (netprofm) on Windows 7 ?
I try to stop the Network List Service using the powershell command  stop-service $service.name.
However, for one reason or another, the stop-service command seems to have trouble wth stopping the service. I a number of cases, the service stops but restarts immediatly.
In the event log, the sequence is:
"The Network List Service service entered the stopped state".
"The Network List Service service entered the running state". In the same second.
I would expect that if a stop is executed via powershell, the service should stop and stay stopped.

Is there something I miss ?

I'm an audio engineer doing work in Windows Vista 32 bit Home Premium edition. I have an HP dv6883us with a 1.83gHz Core2Duo with 3GB of RAM.

My system has been rock solid for months, then out of nowhere I started getting BSOD crashes the past few days. These crashes always happen when using audio software. Now, I'm using the onboard sound(I do have other sound devices that are better, but for convenience when at work I just use onboard) which is a Realtek HD Audio device. I use a driver "wrapper" called ASIO4ALL(www.asio4all.com) which basically takes the WDM drivers and lets it act as an ASIO driver, which gives the best performance in audio software generally. This is a setup that thousands of people use, and I've used it with no issues for months now on this system, and on several other systems for years.

Anyways, the BSOD crashes happen randomly, but always while using audio software. Sometimes it happens when I hit the "Stop" button in the software, or whenever I perform another action. But pretty random.

Now, the ASIO4ALL just uses the onboard sound and it's drivers, and traditionally is as stable as the drivers you have. My Realtek drivers are just the ones that the computer update software itself(from HP) installed, and are the latest version. I ran the verifier.exe on the drivers, even though all audio and video drivers are already signed by Microsoft. No errors or any other signs of instability came up.

Here is my debug information:

A:Soundcard related BSOD crashes- full info inside

The analysis says that RTKVHDA.sys is the image where the error occurred.
The date stamp on it indicates it's from Oct 2007 - which is fairly old.

I'd suggest uninstalling your RealTek audio drivers from Control Panel...Programs and Features, then install a freshly downloaded copy of the latest version of the drivers for your system.

Although there's no evidence of the ASIO4ALL program causing problems, that'd be the next thing that I'd check if the RealTek update doesn't fix things.

Sorry if this is the wrong folder - it's my first time posting.

I have a Dell computer, Dimension 4700. It has 2 hard drives in it, the original (F stopped loading after I moved. I was told the hard drive or loading files may have been corrupted, but all the info (pictures, etc) survived. You can still save, access, etc, on it. We put in a 2nd drive (C that I'm having a problem with now.

Within the past 2 weeks, I can't access 2 folders worth of music on my C:, although the others are all fine. Every time I try to open those folders, it reads "the disk in drive C: is not formatted, would you like to format it now". (I say no). If you right-click on the folder, it shows 0 files, 0 data.

Now, I'm backing up all my photos to DVD. One photo will not open, move, or delete. The error message is "Cannot delete xxxx: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)". I googled it, and other than a few products for purchase, I saw that if you run a chkdsk /c, it should correct the problem.

The chkdsk message was:

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.
C:\Documents and Settings\Christine>chkdsk /c
The type of the file system is NTFS.

A:Is my hard drive dying? (missing info and cyclic redundancy errors)

Just wanted to update since yesterday - I might have (temporarily) fixed the problem?

After posting yesterday's CHKDSK results (run through the dos window), I also ran a defrag. Today I was in C: properties and saw that there was another CHKDSK in there. It restarted my computer, but when I ran it, it showed the same fragmented files as last night and recovered almost all of the missing music (recovering orphaned files) as well as allowed me to delete the file that previously gave me a cyclic redundancy error. One folder was shot, but I'm not concerned with it. Unfortunately It took a while and I left the room, so if it gave me an option to save/ read the log I didn't see it.

So now, if I copy all of the lost/ recovered files onto my F: (second hard drive), will they stay safe or the fact that they were lost or corrupted do they risk having problems again?

Thanks again to anyone who's reading this and for any advice you can give.

Hi all,
I have had incredimail for the past few weeks and suddenly my pc is having big problems. Sometimes it will not load everything when it is booting up, sometimes it just freezes completely. Also when I run windows media player it freezes too. Any ideas of whether it could be incredimail or anything else? Have scanned with AVG and also symantec scanner, and nothing found.
Many thanks in anticipation.

This is by far the worst customer service experience I have had yet with a retailer. I purchased a Lenovo 920 glass with a leggerezza glass and received the incorrect glass item. I immediately called customer service and was told I would get the correct item. Guess what? They sent the same exact incorrect model. All of this took a month. So I had in my posession two laptops I didnt want. I tried to reach out to my original case manager, no reply. Her name is Anabel Lopez. She is incompetent. No reply, dead as a rock but she wants to know how y replacement is doing. REALLY. I tried social media, NO REPLY. I had to call customer service again and im still trying to figure out what is going to happen. This is all due to the names on the site for the glass finishes. I have attached screen shots of the errors on lenovo.com.   What can I do to get this situation escalated and I could be heard? This is UNACCEPTABLE. No one should go through this mess. I need assistance.
