I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: YOGA 730 with intel 8265 wifi adapter constatly disconnects!

Now be careful but you may want to try opening it up to see if the thing sits right in there. I looked into the 730 quite extensively online before my purchase and saw it mentioned somewhere that a lot of wifi problems may be due to shoddy installation. Mine has an Intel 9260 160MHz adapter and no drops so far.EDIT: BEFORE you do that check your battery settings. Right click on battery> power options>change plan settings>change advanced power settings>wireless adapter settings>power saving mode and fiddle with these settings. Could be Windows' power saving is disabling your wifi though I kind of doubt it. Mine is on maximum power saving and no drops yet.Could you tell if it shows the wifi signal dropping in the bottom right corner or can you tell it's dropping when you're downloading sth or gaming?

My Yoga 900 13isk 80MK came with an Intel 8260 wifi card, Lenovo Part# SW10A11647.  When I look up the part on the official Lenovo Part Lookup page, it lists Intel 01AX704 (Lenovo Part# SW10K97453) as a "Substitute" and "Equivalent" part. However, when I look up 01AX704 in Parts Lookup, my Yoga is not listed as compatible. So.....anyone have any idea whether this 8265 would work in my 900?  Here are the listed compatible models; Wireless,CMB,IN,8265 NV M2 (01AX704) is compatible with the following machines:510S-08IKL520S-14IKB710S-PLUS-13IKB710S-PLUS-TOUCH-13IKB720-18IKL720S-14IKBFLEX-5-1470-LAPTOP-LENOVOFLEX-5-1570LEGION-Y520-15IKBALEGION-Y520-15IKBMLEGION-Y520-15IKBNLEGION-Y720-15IKBM810ZMIIX-510-12IKBMIIX-720-12IKBTHINKCENTRE-M710QTHINKCENTRE-M710STHINKCENTRE-M710TTHINKCENTRE-M910QTHINKCENTRE-M910STHINKCENTRE-M910TTHINKCENTRE-M910XTHINKCENTRE-M910ZTHINKPAD-13-TYPE-20J1-20J2THINKPAD-E470THINKPAD-E570THINKPAD-L470THINKPAD-L470-TYPE-20JU-20JVTHINKPAD-L570-TYPE-20J8-20J9THINKPAD-P51S-TYPE-20HB-20HCTHINKPAD-P51-TYPE-20HH-20HJTHINKPAD-P71THINKPAD-T470THINKPAD-T470PTHINKPAD-T470STHINKPAD-T570THINKPAD-X270THINKSTATION-P320V310ZV510-14IKBV510-15IKBYOGA-520-14IKB80X8

My wifi adapter keeps disappearing. I can be online, and all of a sudden it will turn off and I'm not able to reconnect. It's not listed in the device manager, so I can't enable it or try to update the drivers. If I go to Intel or HP and try to download drivers, they won't give me the option to download drivers for the wifi adpater because as far as the system can see, I don't have one. If I completely reset the PC, it will work for a limited time. I don't really want to have to wipe my computer constantly. When it was working, I changed the adapter settings so that it would not turn off on low power, and I also turned off Windows disabling it to save power. I ran a reset around 9pm last night, had wifi for about 24 hours and lost it again. It said disabled, but when I clicked enable it would not turn back on. Now it has disappeared from device manager / settings. I'm not techy but can follow instructions if given them.

The Wifi Adapter on my Yoga 11s is disconnecting at random more and more frequently.  There isn't an issue with the actual router or the connection into my home as other devices stay connected (phone, TV, console). I have tried every imaginable combination of updating/rolling back the driver and preventing powersaving from switching off the device. I have also tried changing some router settings to force the PC to connect on a certain channel (there is not a great deal of congestion where I live and my router signal is the strongest in my house).  The solution is always simply to manually disconnect and reconnect. However with the increasing frequency this is getting frustrating. I have a Plusnet router. Previously I had a BT router and did not have the problem, but the problem did not start as soon as I switched to Plusnet, and has been getting gradually worse. I wonder whether it is an issue with Windows 10 updates compromising the (relatively) old driver from 2016 (the recommended one 1027.4.630.2015)? Or perhaps the component is "wearing out"? Any thoughts?

When I undock the laptop by pulling the USB-C cable out (either sleeping beforehand or not sleeping first) then I am getting an intermittent issue where the wifi claims to be disabled. The only way to resolve this is a hard reboot.
Toggling airplane mode doesn't help. Disabling and reenabling the wifi network connection doesn't help. Toggling airplane mode from Fn-PrtScr doesn't help.
It is acting as though the hardware radio is turned off (like when laptops used to come with a hardware radio switch), but with no method to turn it on again.
Looking in the system event log I can see entries from source Netwtw04, Event ID 7012 stating "radio OFF"
Drivers and bios are all up to date.

Any ideas?

The Intel AC3165 wifi adapter on my Inspiron 7559 periodically will disconnect every couple of minutes and most the time I have to go through the Disable/Enable route to get it to work.  But then, magically, it will start to work properly and will do so for several days until the problems start again.
I have the latest driver installed (18.33.0.1) and I have turned off the "allow operating system to turn off wifi" switch.  And I have played with other settings until I am blue in the face.
Furthermore, even when the adapter doesn't continually disconnect, it is totally unreliable when switching from one wifi source to another.  Sometimes the change is easy, but many times I have to reboot the computer to make it happen.  Very frustrating.

Hi, I am new to these forums so a big hello to everyone. I am looking for confirmation on compatibility with T440s (BIOS 2.44) and Intel AC 8265 Wireless card (FRU: 01AX704) Can anyone confirm in BIOS 2.44 (Latest) if the following card above has been added to the BIOS Whitelist? I would rather get some confirmed solid confirmation before I purchase. The Intel AC 7260 is not the greatest of cards and an upgrade would be nice. I don't see it feasible that Lenovo would have individual whitelists for individual ThinkPad series, I would say that it is likely they update all the whitelists as and when new cards come on to the market? Best Wishes Vince

I upgraded my XPS 15 9560 Killer WiFi with Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265.
WiFi works flawlessly.
Bluetooth devices installed correctly ("This device is working properly") and visible: Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R), Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator.
But Bluetooth can't find any devices.
I have tried Intel driver 19.50.0.5 from Dell downloads and official Intel driver 20.0.0_64.
In Windows 10 x64 Bluetooth settings it just gets stuck saying "Your PC is searching for and can be discovered by Bluetooth devices" and never actually finds anything.
Any ideas?

Hi,  Maybe this is a dumb question, but I couldn't find the answer... Lenovo X1 Yoga 2nd Gen's Intel AC 8265 should be able to work at 450 Mbps, but it only works at 300 Mbps.  Does it have only two antennas on the OLED model so it can't reach full speed, so to speak? Or is it related to something else?  Thanks!

These virtual machines are set to access network and internet through a virtual switch setup on top of the P50 WLAN interface. I would like to share regarding crashes I got after performing system update on Lenovo Vantage yesterday. After performing two updates (Intel Online Connect and Intel 8265 WLAN driver) on 1/16 6:09AM early morning, a BSoD occurred on 9:03AM. Upon checking the memory dump using windebugger, the issue was invalid memory read access initiated by vmswitch (Hyper-V Virtual adapter). Installed vmswitch.sys on my P50 is version 10.0.16299.192, time stamp 1/8/2018 5:32AM. Quite new. Upon checking for possible causes, I read on other forum regarding suggestion to disable VM queue on each network interface on all VMs. I changed these right away.  However, on 5:06PM same day, a second BSoD occured. This time the memory dump writing somehow failed, hence I lost the latest dump and also the previous dump (as it is overwritten by the last BSoD process). The bugcheck details from both crash occurences as registered on Event Log are similar thou. As disabling VMQ didn't solve the BSoD problem, I removed the Intel 8265... Read more

Yesterday I received my 720s i7-8550u MX150 laptop and on first impressions I am impressed with the laptop (Although I have only used for a couple hours). However the wifi performance of the QCA9377 wifi card is very poor and I would like to swap out for an Intel 8265. I have however read about whitelisting - The fact that Lenovo lock down the bios so the machine only boots with certain hardware installed.  Coming from using Dell laptops this seems madness to me! I can get a 'Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265, 2230, 2x2 AC + BT, Vpro' wifi card from Amazon UK for 17.95 delivered but I wanted to check: 1) That I will be ok to swap the cards over and have the warranty maintained.  I'll keep the old card so I can replace if I need to send back for warranty reasons.2) That if I swap the wifi card over it will work ok with my laptop My part number is 81BD0044UK and I have looked at the manual at https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad720s-14ikb_hmm_201705.pdf which lists the following card in the parts list: Wirelesslan_WIFI, Intel 8265 2x2AC+BT PCIE M.2 WLAN NV, WIFI 2X2 AC+BT4.1 SW10K97453 Can anyone please help confirm that I am ok to swap the card over please? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Matt

When my Carbon 5th is connected to 5 GHz Wifi it randomly resets (drops) after several hours (connection is being lost, Windows reports "Cannot connect to the network"). Sometimes it is possible to connect again manually, sometimes only reboot makes it work again. Connection to 2.4 GHz Wifi always works totally fine. I've seen several similar topics on Intel forums with the same issue, looks like it touches several Intel WiFi adapters. No solution have been found except using only old 2.4 GHz protocols or external WiFi adaptors. I tried different drivers and many parameter sets on my router - nothing solves this issue. It is very sad to have only 20mbps with 2.4 GHz while new standards offer more than 100mbps. Did you face this issue? Any ideas to solve it out?

Then it works for a while, can be days or sometimes maybe even weeks before it stops working again. I found this article https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht506394 which seems to describe my problem. Unfortunately, the proposed solution doesn't work as my driver is already up to date (20.100.0.4) Any idea?

The main problem I am having is my internet connection disconnects randomly whenever I am online. It occurs more frequently when I am using a lot of bandwidth such as YouTube streaming, downloading files etc. It averages a disconnect about every 10 minutes. So far I have used my PC on 3 different networks and it disconnects at the same intervals on all of them. I have changed OS from Windows 10 to 7. I have changed WiFi adapters twice and it still happens to each one. I have tweaked some settings on Windows but not all of them.

When I look at the adapter when the disconnect occurs the light that normally blinks when connected shuts off as if it lost power. Then it turns back on when it is connected. My gut feeling is the motherboard may be too old to support newer network technology, but I am open to suggestions. Any help is greatly appreciated at this time. Thank you!

I'm having very inconsistent wifi performance on my two year old Yoga 910. It works well on other Wifis, but I just moved in to an apartment that I think are using a Wifi booster. (which I do not have control over). At first it was very slow on this apartment wifi (less than 1MB),  I tried other PCs, cell phones, and even TV streaming and they worked great with high speeds (20MB+)   This Lenova has the Qualcomm Aetheros network adapter. So after hours on the forums, I did the following:I change the roaming aggressiveness. (Device Manager>Network Adapters>Qualcom Atheros QCA61x4A. Right click on it, choose Properties. Under the Advanced tab, scroll down until you see Roaming Aggressiveness. Set it to the lowest.I already installed the latest drivers from lenovo site on (9/15/2019).I also adjusted the power settings for maximum performance on both plugged in and battery.I removed both Qualcomm Installation Tools for Wi-Fi and for Bluetooth from Programs.I also changed PCI Power options in the Power Options Advanced tab - PCI Express - Link State Power Management for Battery and Power to OFF.After all this, it now seems to have high speed wifi, but it also now seems to disconnect on a regular basis.  Any other suggestions ?   If not, I may just buy a new wifi card (not Qualcomm).

Less than a week with my Yoga 730 and the wifi connection is dropping at random moments. Today is the worst as I bet I cannot finish this post before it drops again. All updates from Vantage and Windows 10 are done. I'm debating just taking it back to the retailer.

After two months, I have reached the end of my rope.Even with the latest driver and BIOS updates, my 730 constantly loses wifi.It can vary from simply saying everything is connected with no connection to connected with no internet to no connections available.A reboot solves the issue for a time, but it will start again.Yes, I have followed every troubleshooting step on the internet with the same results.I have finally lowered myself to looking for a replacement PCI Express Mini Card for Wireless LAN for a brand new computer.  The "white list" is blank under Item 5 which should list compatible WLAN Modules.Tech Support is worthless as they try to blame it on my home wifi.  I have 2 wifi's at home and one at work and the issue persists.I am writing this by tethering my laptop to my phone as this is the only way it will stay connected long enough to post.If anyone knows a compatible WLAN Module aside from the Realtek, please let me know.

Sometimes when the power button is pressed, the laptop will not start, but instead will present a black screen for around 1 minute then start up. During startup the power light is not flashing but is fully lit showing that the laptop should be up. The wifi will also sometimes stop working altogether, even sometimes removing the wifi option completely in the wifi options. Even when the wifi card in the lenovo is reset, the wifi does not come back. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wifi driver. I have already contacted Lenovo before, but instead of fixing the problem, they somehow sent me into an infinite blue screen loop. They claimed that my bios was corrupted and reset my computer completely, losing all files. This fixed the problem for about 12 hours. Hi, I have a Toshiba A665-S5170 laptop and the icon for Intel My Wifi Technology says 'Adapter not found' (but I am still able to connect to the internet). Should I be concerned about this? I rarely shut down my computer (I just put it to hibernate) and I'm afraid to do that or even restart it because the wireless might not work if I do.

I read that My Wifi technology is actually only meant to allow me to use my computer as a wifi hot spot, is that true? That would explain why my internet is still up and running and, if that's the case, I'm not sure if the network adapter working is a problem since I don't use my computer as a hot spot. I have had this problem for a couple months now. Basically, my wifi drivers keep failing/uninstalling and my attempts to save them/reinstall them continue to prove unsuccessful. It will occur both during use/on startup that the wifi driver will disapear. (no ability to connect to wifi/does not appear in device manager) I have tried reinstalling drivers with some success but no permanant solution. I am running the latest version of Windows 10.  The error follows a linear progression 1. Wifi looses internet access2. All other wifi networks cannot be found 3. I have a X1 Carbon 5th Gen with built-in AC 8265. It can not connect to the 5G band. My other devices, like iPhone and Chromecast work just fine in 5G band. X1 can find the SSID for 5G, but can not link to it.I updated the driver to 20.10.2.2, also confirmed the setting for properties. Still it does not work. Is there any setting I missed? We have just purchased the XPS 13 over the past weekend.  The laptop was working great, until the creators update occured.e

once the update occured the WLAN auto-config service appears to crash during the association phase when the laptop is attempting to connect to an SSID.  It starts to connect, then the autoconfig config crashes and the laptop stops probing for beacons.  I am able to get Wi-FI to work with one of my USB Wi-FI cards.
I have had to roll back to windows 10 in-order to get the wifi card to work.  I have tried the latest drivers from intel and the Dell site and I have been unable to get the wifi-card to function.

A:XPS 13 2-in 1 (9365) intel 8265 no longer working after creator update

The Creator's Build did not bother my system.  Other than always having to set my system to a Private network after such an upgrade/update, it works normally.
Can we assume all of your Drivers/Bios updates are done?  If you want to give some info regarding your configuration, we can compare systems.
Windows 10 seems to have a built in driver for that Wi-Fi adapter.  The Dell driver should work better, so you might try to reinstall it, just in case or vice versa..

Hi All, The wireless adapter has disappeared! It was working well for 6 months and Saturday it stopped connecting. It reconnected Sunday briefly, but this morning  will not connect again .If I go into 'Change adapter settings' in windows there is no wireless adapter, only bluetooth.I have used device manager to search for the device, reinstalled the wireless drivers, gone into BIOS and disabled and re-enabled the Wireless there, but the device just will not appear. Any ideas, or is it time to return it under warrenty. Shame as it has worked flawlessly for 4 months

I have a Gateway FX series 17" laptop and yesterday when I got home from university and took the computer out of my bag to start working, the wireless card just didnt exist, no networks were recognized and when i tried to troubleshoot it told me that no device was connected. Wired internet works just fine. And the wireless card appears in the device manager.

methods i have tried to no avail:
-turning the wireless switch on and off
-uninstalling the device and rebooting
-updating drivers
-manually downloading driver from Intel's website
-insulting the device's mother

I'm suspecting this might be a hardware issue but if anyone has some advice that would be great. For the time being I am just using a wired connection but I'm going to need the wireless when I'm. back in class

,Thanks guys
