I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I just got a new Ideapad 320s a few days ago and I'm now noticing that when I play a video in Netflix, the brightness of the screen turns darker and brighter everytime a scene changes or when a subtitle line changes. How can I change my settings to stop this? It's only happening in Netflix from what I've seen so far. Thank you!

If so, is there any instruction how to do this and where can i buy a battery from? I can't find any info on the net, perhaps as this is quite a new model (?) Many thanks

Please let me know the SSD interface provided in LENOVO IdeaPad 320s 14" Laptop. Is it SATA or M.2?Please answer this question for both Intel i5 and i7 versions of this laptop.I'm yet to buy the product (in UK). Model number as per John Lewis website is 80XK00L1UK.Lenovo documentation says IdeaPad 320s some models have SATA interface and some have M.2 interface. Hence I would like to get the confirmation whether the Intel i5 and i7 versions of this laptop has SATA or M.2 as the interface for SSD. Thanks..

I got a Lenovo 320S a few days ago and started it up plugged in. Unfortunately at 100% it says it only has like 2 hours and 15 minutes remaining. It goes through the first 20% pretty quickly but then it slows down and goes up to 4 hours or so. I just left it there for a few minutes or so at 33% and it went down to 5%. Is the battery still stuck in Ship Mode? It's supposed to last for 7 hours. I don't think I can remove the battery and I have already tried an apparent solution where you press the power button for 90 seconds with the PC turned off and then you plug it in again. That does not solve the problem. I'll need to be carrying this PC around so it's pretty urgent.

Despite the manufacturer's claim of 7 hours battery life on my Lenovo Ideapad 320S-14IKB - 81BN (S/N: MP1CHQTJ), I only get around 3-4 hours. This is with light usage, Reddit, a little bit of youtube etc. CPU usage was mostly around 0-5% the entire time. This was with the max CPU state in power settings reduced from 100% to 85%. However, I do have the screen at 100% brightness. As a different test, I tried doing (almost) nothing (apart from keeping the screen bright), and got 6 hours out of the battery. Is there a simple solution to increase this? It's only a 30 Wh battery (2 cell). Maybe in the future, a 60 Wh (4 cell?) one will come out for this model?

Hi All, I'm looking to upgrade the hard drive in this laptop as it seems to be the only real bottleneck performance wise. From what I can find online only the 2.5" form factor at Sata III 6 GB/s is supported, but there is an adapter for the M.2. form factor but still at 6 GB/s. My main question is is there something I am missing and is this laptop capable of having a PCIe NVMe SSD hard drive to achieve transfer speeds of 32 GB or is it limited to Sata III 6 GB/s because the port option isn't there? - Michael

Yesterday afternoon I purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad Z575 for $499.00 from this link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246328

Obviously, it hasn't come in the mail yet. I'm looking to upgrade the RAM in the laptop. It comes with 6gb of RAM, a 4gb stick and a 2gb stick. The problem is, I don't really know what kind of RAM is in the computer. I'm looking to replace the 2gb stick with a second 4gb stick.

The type of RAM the laptop uses is pc3-10600 1333mhz ddr3, non-parity, dual-channel capable, two 204-pin so-dimm socket RAM.

My question is whether or not this RAM is compatible with the laptop: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Electronics-Extreme-MV-3T4G3-US/dp/B00591ZYX8

Also, if there is a better option for RAM for this laptop, I'd like to know.

A:Solved: Is this RAM compatible with my Lenovo IdeaPad Z575?

Honestly, I think I may have mental problems. It looks like I answered my own question in this post. That RAM is compatible with my laptop. So I guess I'd just like to know if this RAM is the best option for this particular laptop.

Hey guys,  I have the Lenovo Ideapad 520 (80YL00RXIN) and wanted to replace the CD Drive with the Samsung 850 Evo 250GB Solid State Drive  in order to increase the Boot Speed and over-all speed of the laptop.  So, the question is, Is the Samsung 850 Evo SSD compatible with my laptop? And will it fit in terms of size, in place of the CD Drive? Also, is it recommended to add the SSD? Any downsides to doing so?  Lastly, will I, someone who knows the basics about computers and the internal components of a computer, be able to install the SSD myself? Or would I rather outsource it to someone who deals in things like this? Thank you. Regards,Neel.

Hi!I'm trying to figure out if the 320s is included in the iws program, so I could upgrade from my good old u430.I called the Israeli Lenovo number and they said that Lenovo stopped the IWS completely, is that true? Thanks,Shlomi

A:IdeaPad 320s International Warranty

Hello and welcome,

I can't give you a 100% answer, but from what I can see on the support site the 320s does not have an IWS option, but other machines certainly do.

Going to SUPPORT above, entering IdeaPad 320s and then checking IWS, there is no phone list, and no offer to enter a serial number.  Doing the same thing with a Yoga 920 does produce an international contact list.  Using a ThinkPad model # asks for a SN, and will presumably offer a contact list once that's entered.

FWIW,
Z.

Hello, I understand that the specifications on this site say that the 14" Ideapad 320s comes with 4GB of RAM soldered on the motherboard and 4GB of RAM in a DDR4 slot. My question is, can a 16GB DDR4 RAM card be inserted into the DDR4 slot on the motherboard? If not, can you explain why, for a reason other than it is what the specifications say? Just because the laptop isn't sold with more than 8GB of RAM doesn't necessarily mean that it is the maximum RAM that this machine can hold. 64-bit machines running Windows 10 Pro can support up to 512 GBs of RAM, unless there is a BIOS limitation. Thanks.

Nowhere in the documentation, web site is any info about what kind of controller and hence what size SD cards this model is supporting.Even Lenovo tech support doesn't know that info!I am really hesitant to buy a SDXC card of +32GB only to find out it supports on SDHC cards, thus limited to 32GB... thanks for any useful info, Ralf

A:What kind of SD card controller is in a Lenovo IdeaPad 120S-11AIP? SDHC or SDXC compatible?

Hi ITWorxLA,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As per system overview :
IO port: Memory card slot (SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC)

Platform specification:
One microSD Card slot, supports up to 2TB

Usually there would be stickers on the box or laptop to indicate the format it also supports.
You can try to find/borrow  a spare 32GB SDXC to test first before purchase.

Hope this helps answer your query.

Hi, It's a strange issue. FullHD : 1920 x 1080HalfHD (HD) : 1280 x 720 My Windows display properties are set to FullHD.DirectX diagnostics also show it as FullHD. However, as strange as it may seem, the output is not FullHD. The best known way for me to test was to go to browsers that "show my screen resolution". They are accurate and I have been using it for quite some time now, being a web developer that I am.Now, all of those websites refer the screen resolution as 1280x720. Another way to check the resolution is to pull out the browser developer tools, drag to change the browser width and check the changing screen resolution. Can anyone with a similar model confirm this behaviour?Any suggestions or tools that I can use to check the screen output instead of just relying on the browsers?

I've just bought an Ideapad 320s-151kb laptop. I want to put in an SSD that I already own (it's a Crucial M500 M.2 2280 480GB Sata III). However, after I plugged it in, the BIOS does not detect the SSD. I've tried all the different options in the BIOS and rebooting but it's never detected. Thinking that the SSD was broken, I plugged it in in an older laptop and I was able to use it fine, so that leaves the Ideapad as the source of the problem. Is there some sort of whitelist that is blocking my SSD from being able to be used? My BIOS version is InsydeH20 4QCN36WW(V1.06)  Any help would really be appreciated.

Hi  I have recently purchased Ideapad 320s 14lkb 80x4 which has a support of Intel Optane 16GB - as per product manual and product feature page. I also purchased Intel Optane 16GB separately as the option for Optane pre-installed wasn't available from the seller. After installing the hardware in M.2 slot it is visible in the BIOS and in the disk management of Windows 10. I have also updated the BIOS version to the latest version 1.06. I have also installed the latest driver from the Intel Website. However when I run the intel optane software for acceleration, it says that the BIOS is not supported (refer attached screen shot) I relate this to some BIOS settings. Please help solve this issue.  I have also raised this with Intel and they are less likely to provide a solution as they haven't listed 320s motherboard as a officially supported one. However on the product page of Lenovo 320s 14lkb 80x4 - support for intel optane is one of the Key Unique Selling Propositions. The error I am facing is attached in the screen shot.

If you wanna stick with Nvidia (the way its meant to be played ) My card, the 9400 GT is just what you are looking for, cheap ( i guess thats what you want) awesome, and playing those high-end games. 1gb memory of its own, and a 550 mhz Gpu.
If however, you want to cross over to ATI, they got some awesome cards too, like the 4670 which is also cheap and good (not as good, but good)

Hope this helps!

Ok, I have a question. I couldn't think how to word the title properly, but it'll do.

Basically I'm looking to upgrade my Mobo. I have an ASUS M2N-E SLI now, it has 2 x16 slots, but one runs at x8, I need 2 running at x16 each. I'm looking on Newegg for a new one and I decided to look at the ones that had 4 x16 slots on em. I found a few I like, but I need to make sure the spacing is standard for SLI-ing or X-firing 2 cards at the same time. It looks like the 2 x16 slots (the 2 running at x16) are too far apart for a standard SLI bridge. Here are the 2 I found:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186152

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131339

I'd prefer the second one, I like ASUS mobos a lot.

So, will a normal standard SLI work on this, or will I need a special cable, OR will I have to put one in a x16 slot and one in an x8 slot, cuz that defeats the purpose.

A:Multiple PCIe x16 slots, SLI compatible?

Ok, a few days is enough. Can someone please answer this, I can't make a buying decision until I get some input here. I'm not asking much, really, just whether I'd be able to use this for SLI-ing cards on both the 16x (speed) slots. Please?
