I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

My Yoga 900 13isk 80MK came with an Intel 8260 wifi card, Lenovo Part# SW10A11647.  When I look up the part on the official Lenovo Part Lookup page, it lists Intel 01AX704 (Lenovo Part# SW10K97453) as a "Substitute" and "Equivalent" part. However, when I look up 01AX704 in Parts Lookup, my Yoga is not listed as compatible. So.....anyone have any idea whether this 8265 would work in my 900?  Here are the listed compatible models; Wireless,CMB,IN,8265 NV M2 (01AX704) is compatible with the following machines:510S-08IKL520S-14IKB710S-PLUS-13IKB710S-PLUS-TOUCH-13IKB720-18IKL720S-14IKBFLEX-5-1470-LAPTOP-LENOVOFLEX-5-1570LEGION-Y520-15IKBALEGION-Y520-15IKBMLEGION-Y520-15IKBNLEGION-Y720-15IKBM810ZMIIX-510-12IKBMIIX-720-12IKBTHINKCENTRE-M710QTHINKCENTRE-M710STHINKCENTRE-M710TTHINKCENTRE-M910QTHINKCENTRE-M910STHINKCENTRE-M910TTHINKCENTRE-M910XTHINKCENTRE-M910ZTHINKPAD-13-TYPE-20J1-20J2THINKPAD-E470THINKPAD-E570THINKPAD-L470THINKPAD-L470-TYPE-20JU-20JVTHINKPAD-L570-TYPE-20J8-20J9THINKPAD-P51S-TYPE-20HB-20HCTHINKPAD-P51-TYPE-20HH-20HJTHINKPAD-P71THINKPAD-T470THINKPAD-T470PTHINKPAD-T470STHINKPAD-T570THINKPAD-X270THINKSTATION-P320V310ZV510-14IKBV510-15IKBYOGA-520-14IKB80X8

When I undock the laptop by pulling the USB-C cable out (either sleeping beforehand or not sleeping first) then I am getting an intermittent issue where the wifi claims to be disabled. The only way to resolve this is a hard reboot.
Toggling airplane mode doesn't help. Disabling and reenabling the wifi network connection doesn't help. Toggling airplane mode from Fn-PrtScr doesn't help.
It is acting as though the hardware radio is turned off (like when laptops used to come with a hardware radio switch), but with no method to turn it on again.
Looking in the system event log I can see entries from source Netwtw04, Event ID 7012 stating "radio OFF"
Drivers and bios are all up to date.

Any ideas?

I upgraded my XPS 15 9560 Killer WiFi with Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265.
WiFi works flawlessly.
Bluetooth devices installed correctly ("This device is working properly") and visible: Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R), Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator.
But Bluetooth can't find any devices.
I have tried Intel driver 19.50.0.5 from Dell downloads and official Intel driver 20.0.0_64.
In Windows 10 x64 Bluetooth settings it just gets stuck saying "Your PC is searching for and can be discovered by Bluetooth devices" and never actually finds anything.
Any ideas?

A:Dell XPS 15 9560 + Intel AC 8265 WiFi

You must actually connect (pair) bluetooth devices like bt headphones or other peripherals to get it to work. What BT devices do you have? The enumerators are not devices. See --

I have just bought a Yoga 730-13IKB Laptop - Type 81CTIt comes with the Intel(r) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 wifi adapter. I do not manage to get it keeping connected to wifi. It disconnects constantly. I have my old notebook connected to the same access point without any problemI have updated Windows 10 to the newest version, and also the driver (from Intel, version 21.0.0.100, date: 11/3/2019) from Lenovo support center. Please help me solve the problem!

A:YOGA 730 with intel 8265 wifi adapter constatly disconnects!

Now be careful but you may want to try opening it up to see if the thing sits right in there. I looked into the 730 quite extensively online before my purchase and saw it mentioned somewhere that a lot of wifi problems may be due to shoddy installation. Mine has an Intel 9260 160MHz adapter and no drops so far.EDIT: BEFORE you do that check your battery settings. Right click on battery> power options>change plan settings>change advanced power settings>wireless adapter settings>power saving mode and fiddle with these settings. Could be Windows' power saving is disabling your wifi though I kind of doubt it. Mine is on maximum power saving and no drops yet.Could you tell if it shows the wifi signal dropping in the bottom right corner or can you tell it's dropping when you're downloading sth or gaming?

Yesterday I received my 720s i7-8550u MX150 laptop and on first impressions I am impressed with the laptop (Although I have only used for a couple hours). However the wifi performance of the QCA9377 wifi card is very poor and I would like to swap out for an Intel 8265. I have however read about whitelisting - The fact that Lenovo lock down the bios so the machine only boots with certain hardware installed.  Coming from using Dell laptops this seems madness to me! I can get a 'Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265, 2230, 2x2 AC + BT, Vpro' wifi card from Amazon UK for 17.95 delivered but I wanted to check: 1) That I will be ok to swap the cards over and have the warranty maintained.  I'll keep the old card so I can replace if I need to send back for warranty reasons.2) That if I swap the wifi card over it will work ok with my laptop My part number is 81BD0044UK and I have looked at the manual at https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad720s-14ikb_hmm_201705.pdf which lists the following card in the parts list: Wirelesslan_WIFI, Intel 8265 2x2AC+BT PCIE M.2 WLAN NV, WIFI 2X2 AC+BT4.1 SW10K97453 Can anyone please help confirm that I am ok to swap the card over please? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Matt

When my Carbon 5th is connected to 5 GHz Wifi it randomly resets (drops) after several hours (connection is being lost, Windows reports "Cannot connect to the network"). Sometimes it is possible to connect again manually, sometimes only reboot makes it work again. Connection to 2.4 GHz Wifi always works totally fine. I've seen several similar topics on Intel forums with the same issue, looks like it touches several Intel WiFi adapters. No solution have been found except using only old 2.4 GHz protocols or external WiFi adaptors. I tried different drivers and many parameter sets on my router - nothing solves this issue. It is very sad to have only 20mbps with 2.4 GHz while new standards offer more than 100mbps. Did you face this issue? Any ideas to solve it out?

Hello Every once in a while, my Microsoft bluetooth mouse stops working. Then I check the bluetooth device in the Windows device manager and it is no longer there, as if my laptop didn't have bluetooth at all. The only work-arround is to reboot. Then it works for a while, can be days or sometimes maybe even weeks before it stops working again. I found this article https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht506394 which seems to describe my problem. Unfortunately, the proposed solution doesn't work as my driver is already up to date (20.100.0.4) Any idea?

So here's the thing: I can connect to any Vanilla servers just fine. Not a single solitary problem on that front. However, when I try to connect to a modpack server, like any FTB or Technic Launcher server, no go, I get this:

The modpack itself opens, and I can run it in Singleplayer just fine, but it's only launching a server that has been giving me trouble.
I have tried with Tekkit Classic that always stays in the same version (1.2.5 I think?), and that didn't work either, although it did before. I've got no idea what changed in the meanwhile.

I have already tried connecting to Vanilla using the Technic Launcher, and it played fine, so I don't think it's the launchers. However, it seems like any modpack server just won't work for me.

Does anyone know anything about this problem? I would be extremely grateful if you could be any help! I've already posted this question on 6 different forums, but either I got no answer, or the usual standard answers (e.g: "Check if you spelled the server IP right") didn't work!

My relevant specs (i'll add some as I think of them or they are requested of me):

I own a IBM Thinkpad 755CX (9545-HPE) and the BIOS needs to be upgraded to support Plug and Play for Win95. (I have been running Win95 but am having major grief with installing a PCMCIA MODEM and disabling the Mwave modem. MWave - gggrrrrrrrr.) I do not have a working battery for my laptop. The BIOS upgrade checks for a battery and refuses to install the bios without one (in case of power failure). I really don't want to buy a battery so I could:
1) FAKE OUT the battery check by routing power from somewhere to the battery posts. Doesn't sound nice.
2) Edit the BIOS install disk to not check for a battery. Sounds real bad.
3) Try and get the modem to work without PnP. I'm having trouble configuring everything to get a dial tone. The diagnostic software I have checks for and finds the modem just fine. But no dialtone. It seems that Mwave doesn't want to share the 'phone jack' even if the Mwave modem is disabled or removed from Device Mangler.

Suggestions (other than skip the whole idea) Please!!

A:The Impossible Bios Upgrade

What do you mean by "share the jack"?

You aren't plugging the phone line into both modems, are you?

Generally speaking, a "no dialtone" reaction means one of 3 things.

1) Modem is not compatible with your machine. Many WinModems require a Pentium 166 or faster to work correctly,, for instance.

2) Drives are not installed correctly. This sounds very likely in your case, due to the PnP problems.

3) The modem is bad. I've seens dozens of modems that diagnose fine, but can't get a dial tone. The physical jack portion of the modem won't work, even though the internal parts are ok. Any chance you can test the modem in another machine to make sure it works?

Hi, I am new to these forums so a big hello to everyone. I am looking for confirmation on compatibility with T440s (BIOS 2.44) and Intel AC 8265 Wireless card (FRU: 01AX704) Can anyone confirm in BIOS 2.44 (Latest) if the following card above has been added to the BIOS Whitelist? I would rather get some confirmed solid confirmation before I purchase. The Intel AC 7260 is not the greatest of cards and an upgrade would be nice. I don't see it feasible that Lenovo would have individual whitelists for individual ThinkPad series, I would say that it is likely they update all the whitelists as and when new cards come on to the market? Best Wishes Vince

We have just purchased the XPS 13 over the past weekend.  The laptop was working great, until the creators update occured.e

once the update occured the WLAN auto-config service appears to crash during the association phase when the laptop is attempting to connect to an SSID.  It starts to connect, then the autoconfig config crashes and the laptop stops probing for beacons.  I am able to get Wi-FI to work with one of my USB Wi-FI cards.
I have had to roll back to windows 10 in-order to get the wifi card to work.  I have tried the latest drivers from intel and the Dell site and I have been unable to get the wifi-card to function.

A:XPS 13 2-in 1 (9365) intel 8265 no longer working after creator update

The Creator's Build did not bother my system.  Other than always having to set my system to a Private network after such an upgrade/update, it works normally.
Can we assume all of your Drivers/Bios updates are done?  If you want to give some info regarding your configuration, we can compare systems.
Windows 10 seems to have a built in driver for that Wi-Fi adapter.  The Dell driver should work better, so you might try to reinstall it, just in case or vice versa..

These virtual machines are set to access network and internet through a virtual switch setup on top of the P50 WLAN interface. I would like to share regarding crashes I got after performing system update on Lenovo Vantage yesterday. After performing two updates (Intel Online Connect and Intel 8265 WLAN driver) on 1/16 6:09AM early morning, a BSoD occurred on 9:03AM. Upon checking the memory dump using windebugger, the issue was invalid memory read access initiated by vmswitch (Hyper-V Virtual adapter). Quite new. Upon checking for possible causes, I read on other forum regarding suggestion to disable VM queue on each network interface on all VMs. I changed these right away.  However, on 5:06PM same day, a second BSoD occured. This time the memory dump writing somehow failed, hence I lost the latest dump and also the previous dump (as it is overwritten by the last BSoD process). The bugcheck details from both crash occurences as registered on Event Log are similar thou. As disabling VMQ didn't solve the BSoD problem, I removed the Intel 8265... Read more

I have an Acer 5102WLMi Notebook with 4GB RAM installed. Whenever I use the internal card reader with the upper 2GB of RAM installed the system Blue Screens. The card reader is completely stable with the upper 2GB removed and completely stable in Vista x32, which doesn't see the upper 2GB.

Previous responses to my posts and my own experiences have persuaded me to believe that this is a device memory mapping issue. In other words it appears that the card reader is sharing address space with the upper 2GB of RAM.

I would like to obtain a custom BIOS that provides device remapping capability. It is unlikely that Acer will ever provide such a feature in their BIOS releases and uncertain whether a later release will address the Blue Screen issue. Acer is also adamant that they will never support 64 bit OSs on this machine.

Do any of you power users know how to edit BIOs or know of a reputable 3rd party source who does? I've already tried "Mr. BIOS" and they don't want to touch it because my BIOS is only 6 weeks old. The technician I spoke with "Gene" wouldn't even discuss the idea of a rewrite. He appeared to be interested only in his agenda.

My machine is appx a year old now and I've seen the same model advertised on eBay for a fraction of what I paid for it. So, I plan to purchase one of these as a laboratory unit to experiment on. I've also found at least two sources that provide new BIOS chips, in case I "toast" the MB with a modded BIOS.

A:Lenovo Z570 Intel WiFi Driver for Windows 10 problem

A:ThinkCentre: Stuck at Lenovo splash screen after lenovo solution bios upgrade

I would try resetting the BIOS using the jumper, or by taking out the CMOS battery, wait a minute or two, and then replace it and try booting up. See page 73 of the Hardware Maintenance Manaul linked below for location of the Clear CMOS/Recovery jumper (# 20) https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/thinkcentre_pdf/m83m93p_hmm.pdf Clearing the CMOS (BIOS)1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Remove the computer cover. 3. Locate the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper on the system board. 4. Move the jumper from the standard position (pin 1 and pin 2) to the maintenance position (pin 2 and pin 3). 5. Reinstall the computer cover and connect the power cord. 6. Turn on the computer and leave it on for approximately 10 seconds. Then, turn off the computer by holding the power switch for approximately five seconds. 7. Repeat step 1 through step 2. 8. Move the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper back to the standard position (pin 1 and pin 2). 9. Reinstall the computer cover and connect the power cord. Good Luck,

Hi all,My T460p came with a 8260NGW, FRU 00JT530, and it is a vPro part.I had it replaced with a 9260NGW, but while the card worked fine, the AMT menu (and prompt for the configuration shortcut at boot menu) disappeared.I did a bit more research and found there are actually two different FRU's, one is vPRO (01AX771) the other isn't (01AX769 ).The first 9260 was indeed a non vPRO part and as such I replaced it with my 8260 (after my motherboard was replaced) while I ordered a vPRO part (01AX771). AMT was back in the bios menu with the 8260 (note: also new motherboard), but as soon as I replaced it with the 01AX771 part (vPRO) it is gone again.Anybody cares to explain or advise on the topic? Thanks!

I am looking to upgrade my wifi card for my Hp Pavilion 17-1215dx. It currently has a RealtekRTL8188EE wifi card that only does 2.4 ghz and I want to connect to 5 ghz. Is this possible and if so what would be the part number of the new wifi card?

A:Wifi Upgrade for Hp Pavilion 17-1215dx with Intel(R) Core(TM...

The model is actually 17-f215dx and it takes a mini-pcie.  Here's the problem. The motherboard can accept a dual channel 5ghz card BUT your model has only a single wireless antenna. See pages 3-4 of the Manual here. Manual  All wireless adapters except the Intel AC3160 have a single antenna. This will effectively block any effort to upgrade to something like the Intel 7260ac, which is what you would want, as mentioned by @visruth. The only way to do it would be to completely disassemble the laptop and string a second wireless antenna cable, which is a major chore...basically take it completely apart and rebuild.  Post back and let us know if you want to do the antenna or if you maybe want some links to usb wireless adapters.  Don't shoot the messenger here. Not my decision to build it like this just letting you know the lay of the land.  If this is "the Answer" please click "Accept as Solution" to help others find it.

Hi,I know that there are many articles about this problem, but could I have a specific answer? I have a T540p, variant 20BE005YGE with a built-in Intel 7260 AC WLAN card. Its FRU is 04X6007 and is working fine. I wanted to upgrade to a newer Intel 8265 ACand I bought one naively at amazon.de at Amazon. Its FRU is 01AX702, P/N G86C0007J510 and I am quite sure that I bought an original product. Now I have the well known 1802 error that tell me this is a "Unauthorized network card".I do not want to break my BIOS with some of the known solutions. Is there any way to upgrade(!) to a whitelisted 8265 card in my T540p?In the whitelist pdf "t540_fru_bom_20140108.pdf" I do find only 7260 cards. That means I do not need a replacement, I wish to upgrade... I must say that I am very surprised with this problem, because my opinion was that  Thinkpads  are the most serviceable devices. And than such a serious restriction, also in the time after warranty period...? Best regards,Klaus

Someone with the username TTAV134 in other forums has removed the wireless adapter whitelist from the HP Phoenix bios v. F.33 and apparently, many other bios versions, too.  I can confirm that his version of version F.33 is the BOMB! I can now stick any old wireless adapter that I want and forget about seeing the dreaded 104 error on start-up. I'm gonna get me a hot new wireless-n adapter, now. Google TTAV143 and your bios version and go for it. Using the tools and modded BIOS.WPH files he provides, I first flashed with WinPhlash, then shut it down and stuck in a random non-HP wireless-n adapter borrowed from an ASUS Eee PC. It fired up like a rocket and installed the new drivers as Windows loads. I was connected and updating Atheros drivers from Windows Update in no time. I wanted to be sure, so I downloaded and ran WinPhlash v. F.33 from HP and got the error 104 back on start up. I then used the modded F.33 BIOS.WPH files he provided to prepare a bootable USB flash drive with good ol' Phoenix Crisis Recovery Disk v. 1.0.0.4 (Fujitsu) in the way I did it on the post "The EZ Way To Unbrick". (Link below). Phoenix 1.0.0.4 only seems to run on 32-bit Windows xp by the way, so I needed to create a bootable USB flash drive with his hack on one of those machines. Then I flashed it again using the EZ Way To Unbrick with the bootable USB flash drive prepared with TTAV134's fabulous BIOS.WPA file. It restarted perfectly with the card from my ASUS netbook. Thanks t... Read more

Am looking for a hardware solution: Pavilion DV7 1270 usUPGRADED TO WIN 10  64bit from WIN 7 64bit My current WIFI Wireless/Bluetooth card is an INTEL WIFI LINK 5100 agn. ( Original card) This is NOT SUPPORTED in Win 10... WIFI  no longer works. There are no solutions offered in HP Web assistance or via INTEL or MICROSOFT. I would simply like to find a compatible(upgrade) card that works in this system  with WIN 10? The card is accessible and replaceable ( in RAM Bay... as i remember) INTEL no longer supports this card (to and through win 10) HP Laptops are notoriously finicky with WIFI card replacements...? Short of adopting a usb dongal WIFI/BLUETOOTH option, I would like to effect an internal upgrade to the original card... seems simple enough? Thank You for whatever guidance you might afford

A:after win 10 upgrade, intel wifi link 5100 no longer support...

Hi: You may be able to get the card to work if you fiddle with some of the advanced settings on the advanced tab for the card in the device manager. I have 3 HP business notebooks...one has the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3965ABG card, one has the Intel Intel WiFi Link 4965AG card, one has the Intel WiFi Link 5300 wireless card. The first two I didn't have to do anything to make them work. The 5300...device is present in the device manager saw wireless networks but would not connect when I clicked connect. I went into the advanced settings tab and I think I enabled WMM and the card works just fine and has so ever since. Try tweaking one of the settings in the advanced settings tab. I wish I remembered exactly which setting I changed that made it connect. I was ticked off, so I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. Could not understand why two older cards worked perfectly and the newer one wouldn't. Changing the wireless card would be extremely problematic as you are limited to just the cards listed in the service manual and half the time the ones listed in the manual cause the notebook not to boot up until the card is removed. Also, if you can't get the Intel 5100 to work, you can forget any of the others listed working on W10. I am very sure that changing one of those advanced settings will allow the 5100 card to work.
