Q: Latest Intel Gfx driver 20.19.15.4549 posted on Support.Lenovo.com for H50-50 is not compatible.

Latest Intel Gfx driver 20.19.15.4549 (Driver Version: 15.40.31.64.4549) posted for the H50-50 at support.lenovo.com will not install. Displays Error: "The Driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer". The driver in question is listed on the website for the H50-50, and is also recommended for it by System Update. I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

The current version of iTunes (12.6.0.100) does not run (nothing happens when its executed, and it does not appear in Task Manager) with Intel HD Graphics 530 driver version 21.20.16.4590 (A09) installed. This is the version of the Intel driver currently on Dell’s Windows 10 driver download page for the XPS 15 9550, starting April 4, 2017.
When I install the previous version of the Intel driver, 20.19.15.4531 (A08), iTunes runs fine.
However, after just a few minutes the screen goes blank for a moment and the Intel driver is instantly updated to version 21.20.16.4590 (A09) again (perhaps by Windows Update?) breaking iTunes again. I went through this cycle twice before giving up.
It seems to me there is a bug in the latest Intel HD Graphics 530 driver that needs to be fixed ASAP.

A:iTunes on XPS 15 9550 not compatible with latest Intel HD Graphics 530 driver

There are other complaints about the new video driver as well such as causing BSOD reboots for a lot of people (me included.
To resolve the issue and keep Windows update from updating the driver:
Note: It's possible that you can skip some of the below steps and go right to the "Roll Back Driver" step but I have not tried that. I know that these steps work :-)
Go into Device Manager and locate the display driver.
Right-click it and chose to uninstall it. Make sure to check the box to uninstall the software as well.
Before you reboot, disable networking so that Windows Update cannot update the driver for now.
Reboot.
Install the previous driver (the A08 version from Dell).
Re-enable networking.
Note that Windows will still update the driver, but when it does, go back into device manager, right-click the display driver, chose properties, go to the driver tab, pick Roll Back Driver. Windows should no longer attempt to update the driver.

To keep it short, I was trying to download the latest Intel HD Graphics Driver from the official website to update my wife's drivers to try and solve a problem. She has an Intel i5 4th generation and running with the built in GPU since it's more of an office/media computer.

Excluding driver ver. 4414, all the newest versions support 4th gen GPUs only on Windows 10 (when trying to install it says my system doesn't meet the requirements or some message of this sort).

It struck me as odd and you can't really make up a pattern here on only two consecutive iterations that don't support W7, but the fixes in the release notes would be extremely welcome to this OS as well.

Is Intel trying to ditch support for older generations that run Windows 7, thus inevitably making the customer to upgrade to 10 in the hopes of continued support of older generations?

Do you guys, who are more in the know, give any value to my assumption? What's going on?

Cheers!

Compatriots, I have a Lenovo X-220 that currently has a wireless N card installed. A few days ago, checking System Update, I noticed the updated driver for Intel Wireless Cards (version 16.1.3, details available here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS036007) which expressly indicates support for Intel's AC 7260 wireless card and expressly for the X220. I was previously aware of the whitelisting issues with unsupported mPCI wireless cards on Lenovo systems, but understood this update to indicate that Lenovo was adding support for the AC 7260, correcting the issue experienced by folks earlier in the year. Accordingly, I ordered one and was somewhat surprised this evening to still receive the message "1802 unauthorized network card is plugged in.  Power off and remove the miniPCI network card". Can anyone shed light on this?  Is there some other step I need to take to make this work?  Or have Lenovo actually issued a new driver expressly indicating support for the card while neglecting to update the BIOS whitelist to enable it to work.....? Any advice appreciated. Greg

A:X220 and Intel AC 7260 Wireless with Latest Driver

Hi Greg_S, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!

I too want to believe that a software update makes my old X220 support a newer wireless card! But I'm pretty sure the release note means the software supports all those cards respectively in the systems they are built into, and not that it magically makes all those cards work in all those systems!

Hope this helps!

Hello,

Recently, Intel has a new display driver, wich I think is helpfull for me because it will let me play in games that need:
Pixel Shader PS1.1
Vertex Shader VS 1.0
like "Act of War" and others.

The driver is the Driver Revision: 15.12.4.1666, March 05, 2009
It is supossed to be the lastest driver of the U300 video card: MOBILE INTEL 965 Express chipset family.

The problem is that when I try to install I have an error that says: "not for this system, ask your manufacturer provider"

How may I Install it or where could I find the solution?

Thank you very much in advance.

A:Cannot install latest Intel display driver on my Satellite Pro U300-10

Drivers designed for mobile computers are modified and adapted to offer enough performance but not to force graphic card to run on the limit. As you probably know there is big difference between desktop and notebook graphic cards.

Desktop graphic cards have no limitations with cooling and drivers can be updated very often. Notebook design is completely different and all hardware components are placed on small place. The common problem by mobile computers is to design small but effective cooling system.
Due to all these reasons display drivers must be tested and adapted by notebook manufacturers. The main point is to protect the hardware. The same situation is with other graphic card manufacturers. They will not offer drivers for laptops.

If your graphic card burn out who will be responsible for this, Toshiba or Intel?

By the way: Satellite Pro U300 is for me one small business notebook and definitely not designed for gaming. Do you agree with me?

Anyone have an easy fix for this? Apparently we lost this shortcut funcationality awhile back. I constantly find myself opening up the laptop to a sideways screen and it is really, really annoying. I use the tablet function a lot and sometimes sleep the laptop or close it and then open it in a different mode (laptop mode) and I'm guessing that the computer isn't smart enough to know to display landscape instead of portait. It wouldnt be much of a problem if the shortcut keys actually worked. Very annoying to right click and navigate the menus. Also I noticed that whenever I'm in laptop mode, the rotation lock button is greyed out. Why is that? So after installing the latest Intel HD Graphics driver (22.20.16.4836) using Lenovo Update my external monitors (on a WiGig dock) no longer work! I can see them in Windows, but when I go to "Extend desktop" to them the laptop screen blanks out for a moment and Windows asks if i want to keep the settings. I obviously say yes, but the external screens are still not working; and Windows still shows them as not being in use. I can work-around by plugging them directly into my PC, but that defeats the purpose of a rather expensive dock. At home I have a normal docking station which is also unaffected. I raise this as a support ticket but the agent was utterly useless. She kept telling me to uninstall/reinstall the driver (which i did), to boot into the BIOS (and not change anything) and finally to install the old driver. When i asked where to get this from she sent me to the Lenovo drivers download page and I had to explain to her that this only let me download the current driver! She then went away to ask a collegue and sent me a the link to Intel's website; but to download old versions of the WiGig wifi driver. I pointed out that this wasn't the problem driver and she assured me it was (obviously technical can see for the problem description it wasn't!). When I queried what issues old drivers would cause and the fact that they are automatically installed she said I should disable automatic update installation. I questioned the wisdom in d... Hi Everyone, Lenovo System Update installed the 'critical' Intel HD Graphics Driver 21.20.16.4590 on our X1 Yoga (20FR) and during the install the display freezes and on reboot we get the spinning dots at bottom of screen. We did a system restore to roll back the drivers and installed them again via the download on Lenovo's web site following their instructions but same probem. Anyone else having this problem but found a solution? Thanks.

So, I've got an HP dc5100 MT. It's got an Intel 915GV Video Controller on a Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Chipset, or so I've been told. The chipset info visible on the mobo seems to corroborate that. I recently went from 32-bit Win 7 to 64-bit Win 7. Video used to work fine. Now, in 64-bit, I can't load a video driver that will let me select the proper wide-screen resolution for my monitor. It will only let me go up to 1280x1024. All sorts of info say that Intel never released Vista or Win 7 drivers for this chipset, because it was too old. Yet, I know that whatever I was running on 32-bit Win 7 was working fine. Either way, I found the old post below about apparently the same chipset.

http://forums.techguy.org/windows-7/943982-solved-windows-7-driver-intel.html

I tried following that, but when I go to the device manager to update the driver, it won't let me - even if I tell it to browse to a specific folder where I download some driver, it says, "The best driver software for your device is already installed. Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date." And, it won't let me move forward. See - Windows doesn't tell me I have a 915GV video controller - it just tells me it has a 'standard VGA graphics adapter'. But, I figured that's just because it's running the generic driver. Anyway, it doesn't seem to want to let me fix it. Any suggestions?

Hey there.I got a Lenovo laptop with the above mentioned processor. This processor supports VT-D according to Intel: http://ark.intel.com/products/71670/Intel-Core-i7-3632QM-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_20-GHz-BGAI'm running a V-sphere lab on my laptop and I've got into a huge problem. My v-sphere says that my host doesnt have "Directed I/O (device passthrough)" enabled, which means VT-D is not enabled. My bios version is 1.21 (latest i guess). There is no such option in the bios to enable, which is frustrating because in other computers it is built in their bios. what are my options? how can i force my laptop to enable it? Thank you, best regards!

I purchased a IdeaCentre 710-25ISH model 90FB0001US from a Bestbuy in store on Jan. '17. I took note of what was installed before looking for the RAM I want and fond two sticks of Ramaxel Technology 4GB DDR4-2400 part# RMUA5120MB86H9F-2400 and was in fact running in daul channel mode of 1200Mhz each as that what Piriform's Speccy showed me of which I have a screenshot below.I didn't want wait to upgrade the RAM so two weeks later I purchased a four stick kit of G.SKILL Value 16GB (4 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Desktop Memory Model F4-2400C15Q-16GNT from Newegg. After installing the RAM I found them running in the standard 2133Mhz, than went on to learned a lot about XMP, that I would need to enable XMP in the BIOS, I checked this machine motherboard's Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) and don't see anything about XMP. So as the subject title states "Does Lenovo support Intel's Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)?" how do I enable it and if not how's it possible this machine had from the factory (manufactured Nov. '16) enable XMP to have the thier RAM running at 2400Mhz? Also, who is Ramaxel Technology?

Does Intel support this driver for windows 10?

Intel Corporation - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.0, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - Intel(R) HD Graphics software update released in August, 2015

We really couldn't get a clear answer from Intel, other than they don't support ivybridge graphic adapter.

The reason when I was using 10 ( I am back to using 7sp1 & Linux mint 17.3), the graphic driver occasionally blinked, when booting up, restarting or opening up the start menu. It didn't matter what resolution I was using same thing happened. It didn't matter on the architecture either x86 (32 bit) or 64 bit. Same issue.

I was about to post to seek for help but I've fixed it myself, so I'm going to post just to give an heads up, the latest system Intel driver update (9.21.0.1489, from Windows Update) broke my audio, it couldn't find my audio card anymore. I've tried to download and install the audio drivers (and the chipset drivers) from the Lenovo product support page, it didn't fix anything, finally I could solve the problem with the latest "generic" realtek drivers, here is the link in case somebody has the same problem, make sure to download the 64 bit version http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&Down...

Hi, Seems like the latest Power Management Driver which was release on the 21st of August caused the Lenovo OSD to stop working.I tried to re-install the OSD and only part of the Fn+FX were working again, also the volume display did for a while and then everything stopped working again after a reboot. Anyone else facing the same? I'm on a Lenovo T430 and Windows 7 x64 Professional. Thanks.

Yea I checked for mine & found it interesting that the drivers for "Windows 7" & Vista are exactly the same...
The only diff I could see is it saying Windows 7 on the supporting OS for the drivers.

Hi ChrisPerry,

Welcome to Lenovo Community! And happy to have you here.

As I understand that you are facing issue after installing Intel Display driver from Lenovo
If that's the case why not give it a try to update it from Intel one from here. And try to update it from Device Manager manually from zip file.

Do let us know how it goes.
Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Today, I updated my Realtek Audio Driver to version 6.0.1.7831 (dated 7/21/2016). After installation, I immediately realized that the taskbar icon changed from Dolby to Realtek default icon:? -> ? Next, I went to Programs and Features and found out that "Dolby Audio X2 Windows APP" disappeared from the list. Originally, both of these Dolby programs came with the laptop:? After the update, I was only left with this:? The impact of this is that I can no longer toggle the different sound features provided by the Dolby App. I contacted Lenovo via online chat support but the personnel insists Dolby is not a supported program by Lenovo without giving me a valid solution or answer. Did Lenovo omit Dolby App in the latest Audio Driver by mistake? Or did Lenovo intentionally removed it due to the vulnerability explained here: "Dolby Audio X2 (DAX2) privilege escalation" https://support.lenovo.com/sg/en/product_security/len_4884#/IdeaPad. If anybody is facing the same issue / has any solutions / answers, kindly leave a comment below. Thank you.

It would appear that the latest "Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Management Console" driver that was released on May 10th may be defective. What I can say for certain is that with the driver installed I will typically blue screen several times a day. If I roll back to the previously released driver, no more blue screens.
Details:
Problem driver: Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Driver-and-Management_CRRKJ_WIN_15.2.15.1058_A07.EXEDriver that works: Serial-ATA_Driver_02RN8_WN32_15.2.10.1044_A05.EXE
System affected: Dell XPS 15 9550 with the 1TB Samsung SSD, Service Tag # 235BG72. I have no way of knowing if other configurations may also be affected.
Note: So far the issue really seems like it is with this driver because I have never once been able to bluescreen it yet in my current configuration with the older driver installed. However, if I upgrade to the newer driver then I can pretty much guarantee several blue screens a day. Note too that my drive is bitlocker protected. No idea if this makes any difference, but thought that I would mention it.
Would it be possible for a Dell employee to pass this along to someone who can look into this?

- Hannes Sehestedt

I have an alps touchpad. I updated to the version of 25/8 from the lenovo support page (8.201.1611.247), and now two finger scrolling is no longer working, even though it is activated in the alps keypad settings. I don't want to downgrade to the earlier driver, because with that driver, I had the problem that the on screen cursor would jump positions if changing to the loading icon.Is there something I can do?

System Thinkpad T500. originally surnished with Vista Professional. HD replaced with Win 7 SP1 image by 3rd party refurbisher. Audio was working and playing through Bluetooth headphone. It was a bit choppy so I checked the Conexant device driver in device manager. It was the 10/02/2009 version and there were 2 Conexant devices listed. I went to Lenovo site (T500 disappered from selection panel a few days ago) and found the driver by searching on T500 and a newer version was available. The Readme indicated that installation over the existing driver was OK so I did not do an uninstall. I did a manual installation. Device manager shows the same driver version and date as before. I extracted the new driver into a dedicated directory and pointed update driver to it. It said I already had that driver installed. There is only one Conexant device listed in device manager and the headphone option disappered from the Conexant control panel. Bluetooth head phone still connects but no sound comes through them and there is no control for them on the Conexant mixer panel. Any ideas to try will be appreciated. I have legal Win 7 but no restore disk. I would revert back to the original drivers if I knew how.

I have downloaded new Intel VGA Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) here And when I try to install it I get this error:?I am using Lenovo Z50-70 and I downloaded this driver found on the list which I searched by using serial number of this laptop so it should definately be the VGA driver for this laptop. Also I am using clean installation of a different Windows 10, not the upgrade from Windows 8.1 which came with this laptop, but I don't think (or at least hope) that is the issue. Is there a way to fix this without manually forcing drivers to install?
