How to place music on a no sound screen recorded video?

Q: How to place music on a no sound screen recorded video?

I made a video of a cartoon of a game and i don't know how to place my sounds on it. I only need a program that can put .mp3 files on a video. Please give me a program or a link to download the program so i can put sounds on my video.
At first thank you.

Preferred Solution: How to place music on a no sound screen recorded video?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

You may be infringing copyright laws in what you've already done, unless the game and cartoon are your own original creation.

Hi, i recorded a streaming video off of the internet and when i came to play it i noticed it was very quiet. I was wondering if there was anyway to make it sound louder without turning up the volume on my speakers? I used the program - Frontcam - to record the video.

I await your replies

A:Recorded Video Sound

To record sound: Right click the icon of "volume control" on your system tray bar (on the right bottom corner of the screen) and then go to the menu item "options"->"properties"->"recording" and press the "OK" button, check the proper item you want to recording and then start sound recording.
To record sound from microphone: check "Microphone".
To record sound from other application: check "Stero Mix" or "Mono Mix", the name may be different depending on your system.
Did you do everything like that?

Hey guys,

I have an HP xw4400 Workstation. Was given to me as a gift. I reloaded the OS and added some of my own hardware, because I prefer to build my computers and not buy them. Anyway, everything has always worked fine until about two months ago when my sound got twisted. Unfortunately my Mic broke (right after that, stupid dog..) and I never got to fully experiment with the situation. I've fixed my headset and my Mic and I did some tests, but I can't find a solution.

I'm running Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Here is the problem;

When using a microphone on skype or ventrilo or something it works fine. it works fine in a sense that they can in fact hear my voice over the problem. However, if I turn on music or play a game or my computer makes any sounds at all, everyone else can hear it.

Basically this means that all of the sounds my computer makes are being sent to the same place my microphone output is being sent to.

Like my last support request, here is a video of the problem (enable sound).
Due to the resolution of the video I placed it on an embed code on an html page.

SWF File Size: 6.97 MB

Each time I try to play a song or video in wmp, itunes, VLC media player, InterVideo, etc. I get absolutely no sound. Videos play, I can see the images perfectly fine, but there's silence.
However, if I want to watch a video on youtube or anywhere else online, the sound works. There's got to be a simple solution to this but I can't seem to find it. Any help? I've been putting up with this for a long time and I'd really like to finally get it sorted out.
Oh and before you ask, the media players are not muted.

How can I burn a 129MB file recorded in MP3 format to a CD? Recently I was listening to and recording streaming music from one radio station and that music is saved in one file. I would like to burn that music to CD(s) so that it can be played on home CD and car CD. Hope I am asking this question correctly. And as usual, TIA.

I'm running Windows XP Home with SP2. I have a 2 year old Plextor Combo (CDRW/DVD Player) installed on my newly built system with Gigabyte motherboard and integrated C-Media High Definition Audio. The problem is, my pre-recorded audio CD's in .cda format will only play in the Plextor MVP 2000 program. They won't play in Windows Media Player 10 (the selected file has a scheme that is not recognized by Windows Media Player...the extension is unknown by the Player...), or MusicMatch Jukebox (mmjb MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close), or Jet Audio (No Disc), or RealPlayer (Please insert a CD or DVD), or Voyetra AudioStation32 (Data or no disc loaded). They used to play in all of these players. I haven't tried to play a CD in a while and really don't know exactly when it would have gotten messed up. Here's what I do know:

Hi everyone,

About a week ago I noticed that my sound has been stuttering every 15-30seconds. It sounds a bit like a scratched record. This happens during streaming video and audio from the internet and from listening to music on my hard drive. The problem occurs through my onboard soundcard (IDT) and the external one which I use for recording (Line 6 KB37) which leads me to believe it is something more complicated that just updating the drivers (which I have done).

A friend thinks I may have damaged my hard drive while transporting my laptop but I don't recall knocking it on anything. Would a damaged hard drive affect streaming content?

It's a Dell Inspiron 1545, a couple of years old. 4GB ram, Windows 7 Home Premium x64Bit.

Anyone out there have any idea what's going on? I really need this back up and running ASAP - any help is very much appreciated!

A:Music and video sound lags and stutters

I don't actually really have any advice, but this sounds kind of familiar to me--does it happen regardless, like if you just let it play, or do you have to also do something else on the computer, as well? 'Cause I know with my computer, if I'm listening to something on, say, youtube, and I click on another internet page, it does that little stutter most of the time. I don't know why, though, so this isn't much help, sorry.

So at work I keep headphones plugged in so I can listen to music/video's without bothering the people around me. I keep it pretty low, around an 8 on the volume scale. When I am watching video or listening to music it's normal. Then if I pause it, and resume it, the sound comes back extremely loud, but the volume stays the same according to the volume level. Anyone else experience this? Anything I'm doing wrong? Do I need to change it?

I know what I'm saying is semi unclear, so I hope you all know what I'm saying. In a nutshell, normal sound when I'm playing music or a video, but when I pause, then restart the video or music, the sound comes back extremely loud, even though the volume level stays the same. To fix it all I have to do is hit the volume buttons on the keyboard and it fixes it, but it'd be nice if it didn't happen at all.

My computer is a pile of junk, or am I wrong? When I try to play video games such as Half:Life Counter-strike the video will slow down during gameplay and sort of 'stutter' like it will stop and then I'll end up in a spot where I should've been 20 or so seconds later.

For example:

In Counter-strike there are guns and explosions and what-not. I'm running up to a guy firing my AK when all of a sudden my screen begins to freeze and plays in SLOW MOTION. My sound is also going in SLOW MOTION , hearing the shots fired very slowly. When this is all over 20 or so seconds later I'm on the ground dead and the video/sound is back up to rate and is working fine. About two minuets later this happens agian...stops...agian...stops...agian.. and so on..

My sound can also get really choppy and won't play right during this. Gameplay is fine until about every 2 minutes this happens and it has always happened. When I first bought this computer it played CS fine... no problems at all, then I guess my stepdad did something to the computer maybe changed the drivers or something and it does this now. I really would like someone to help me on this. As I am completey boggled.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm not your average computer geek, so I'll need all the help I can get.

P.S: This also happens when I try play Nintendo games on my computer. The really old ones. I have emulators..ect

Hello! Welcome to TechSpot

Judging by the specs:
Compaq Persario 5320 US
Intel Pentium 4 1.5GHz
nVIDIA Vanta 16MB video card
Sound max on board sound
It appears to me that your comp is getting aged
for some of the games you like and the video 16mb
seems to be your bottle neck.
I'm certain it's been good to you just alittle outdated.
2 possible solution would be to upgrade the video card
to at least a 64mb or even better a 128mb.
The other is to consider a fresh machine (non-proprietary)
though I would try the video card Ugrade 1st.

Ok, let me get to the point, lately whenever I play a music file on my system or watch an online video, all I get is sluggish and choppy sound. I am running Vista Home Premium SP1. My specs are as follow :

AMD Athlon 64X2 TK-53 1.7Ghz
120GB Serial ATA Hard Drive

I've got all of the latest drivers
I ran various virus scans, yet no avail. I am running with all the latest OS updates. Now I am at my wits ends and baffled as to why suddenly it does this.

I also check my hard drive for errors using chkdsk yet it reports nothing bad.
However now that I think of it, I did update my BIOS last week I am running a PHOENIX AMD BIOS with version 3.13 Date : 08/22/2008.

Perhaps this caused some odd behavior ? But as far as I'm aware of, nothing else is wrong with my system.

My only problem is choppy audio while the hard disk drive is active. For example I could be copying a file while listening to music and all I hear is choppy audio. Unfortunately this is a pain in arse while playing games from the hard drive. All I get is choppy/sluggish audio.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am getting rather tired at the moment, don't mind my ****ty grammatical errors in this post. All I want to do is get my point across and hopefully get this problem fixed.
PS : If anyone would like to contact me further regarding this problem please don't hesitate to send me a Private Message or post in this topic.

Hello, I've been having problems for quite some time now and upon google search after search there doesn't seem to be an answer. When the audio is on, for videos, games, music, etc. it sometimes "skips" like an old cd player. Its pretty obnoxious, and I'm wondering why exactly this is so. I'm assuming I have an old driver or something, because I upgraded my pc from win 7 to win 8 pro. Thanks for the help and let me know if anyone needs clarification!

A:Jittery sound when playing music/video games (Win 8 Pro)

Audio is always on a shared Interrupt (IRQ) with a higher priority device. Depending on the shared device, it can "interrupt" the audio and cause skipping.

If you have the HP supplied IDT audio driver for Win 7, it is also compatible for Win 8. However, check the Device Manager and see what devices are listed in the Sound section. You should ONLY have the correct IDT sound driver and possibly HDMI audio (if your system has this) and nothing else. If "HD Audio Codec" (the generic Windows installed sound driver) is also listed, or any other sound, except the IDT and possibly HDMI, uninstall those as they can cause conflicts and other audio problems. Restart the PC if you uninstalled anything.

If you only have the correct entries in the sound, RIGHT click on the entry for the IDG and then LEFT click "Uninstall" (do not uninstall the drivers). Then restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. This will fix any potential corruptions between Windows and the sound and sometimes will put the sound on a different shared IRQ and fix or mimimize any interruptions.

A:Sound fades when trying to watch a video or listen to music ...

Hi, Try the following. Download the Realtek HD Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder. http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78501-79000/sp78936.exe When done, hold down the Windows key and press R Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. In Device Manager, expand Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the Realtek device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall. When complete, download and reinstall the Chipset driver on the following link. http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78001-78500/sp78355.exe When the Chipset reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook. When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder, right click on the Realtek installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, restart the notebook again and let windows fully load for a few minutes before checking. Regards, DP-K

Hey, was wondering if you could help with not so much a problem as an annoyance-
I was wondering if there was a program that could find all music on my comp, and put it one place- my music organisation was non-existent a while ago. Stupidly I pressed an option on iTunes to revert the location of my music to the iTunes folder. Unortunately my music was not in there. What this all results in is that VERY annoying little exclamation mark saying it couldn't find it. So now I'm really wanting to put all my music neatly in different sections of a folder. Anywho, if you know of a propgram that can find all my music for me instead of me havign to trawl through it would help me lots! Also on a sidenote, I'm getting a new iPod soon seeing as my mini is now scratched to hell and the battery is pathetic. My question is, would it make sense to uninstall iTunes completely and install the one that comes with my new iPod? Sounds stupid but I would like a fresh start on my music so I know where it all is. Also, on a third probably slightly impossible sidenote, if you know of a program that can identify and rename all my track X artist unknown's on my list you would be my love forever! Anywho, only the first one is important. The last one would be heaven! Thanks to anyoen who can be bothered to reply! sorry for being so longwinded!

Greetings-I have a rather small (OK, maybe it's large) problem. I am trying to capture video from my TV and transfer it to my PC. I am using an TV Tuner PCI Phillips 7130 ( SBT-TBFM) capture device to do so. I have checked all my connections and believe I have everything connected correctly. While the video is being captured, I am able to see the video and hear the audio stream and everything appears fine. That said, after I finish capturing the video and open the video file, the video plays but there is no sound. This seems to indicate that no sound is coming into the PC, but since I was able to hear audio during the preview, I know this is not the case. I am on Windows 7 running a 2.8 GHz AMD with 4 GB of RAM. I am using the Honestech TVR software that came with the TV Tuner. I have writing to the seller SABRENT and to Honestech, and their answers have not resolved the problem.

THis is very frustrating, so any help is appreciated.

I bought my wife Adaptec's VideOH multimedia center USB for Christmas. It seems to work fine, TV's great and recording seems to be. She recorded a VHS tape of the family and the video plays back fine on the PC, there's just no sound. I took the disc to the DVD player attached to our main TV and the sound was good. It appears the drive is not set up to play digital sound, which seems strange for a DVD/CD burner. I tried to see if there were any audio settings for the drive by going to Properties from the Control Panel. There weren't. The PC is running XP Media Center, it's an Athlon 64 3400+ with a gig of RAM.

Another audio quirk which may be unrelated: my wife and her sister play games on Pogo (I think that's it). If my wife logs on to the site, she doesn't get sound. If she logs on as her sister (they cheat) she gets sound. That's not a real problem for her, but I put it in as it might be related.

I have bought a new laptop from toshiba with windows 7 bundled with lots of bloatware, i am in the process of deleting it all but i cant get rid of this set of very annoying "places" on the desktop.
I have removed the program using the add/remove programs.
the desktop icons remain.
when i double click on one it says application not found.
right button click gives option of open or create shortcut. no delete.
the files do NOT appear in:

I cannot find the icons in the registry under:
when i run a search in regedit for "Music Place"
it finds it under:
and if i change the string it updates the desktop icon but if i delete it, the desktop icon remains.
I have tried refreshing the desktop and restarting.
Also restarting in safe mode - still  unable to delete the files.
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks.

I got on to Toshiba because I had the same problem on a window 8 laptop. I was looking all over the registry for 'music place' and even after \i followed the registry edit advise the icon still came back.

There reply was so simple I laughed.
Simply uninstall the 'Toshiba places icon utility' and all your troubles are over.

No need to edit the registry, just go into the control panel - programs and find it listed there, right click and uninstall.

So simple...
All the annoyance because they didn't call it 'music place'

Hope this helps others with the same issue

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with a VIA High Definition sound card.

When I record from my record player or cassette deck, all audio coming through the computer is distorted, especially if it's a loud recording.

All the Stereo Mixer and Recording levels are set to low. I'm using an RCA audio/video cable with the red and white ends on the turntable or tape deck, and the other end is a 3.5 mm jack inserted into the microphone jack on the front of the computer. In the sound properties, under stereo mix, the level is set to 54. This doesn't affect the recordings. The next selection is the front mic. The level is set to 10 with a microphone boost of 0. At this low level, most of the entire recording has some level of distortion. I record to WavePad, and the distortion is there EVEN THOUGH the waveform peaks are nowhere near the top.

It wasn't always like this, so I don't know what happened. All the settings seem to be correct.

By the way, I hooked up a new 8 track player I purchased last week with the same setup. There are no volume settings at all on the machine. When hooked to the computer, a volume setting of ONE was enough nearly to blow out my speakers! What's happening here?

A:Sound Recorded to Computer is Distorted

Do you have a "Line In"? That is the jack to use as its stereo. The Mic jack is only mono (one channel) as the second connection (ring) on the mic jack is for +5VDC that is required by computer mic's.

It sound like the record volume is too high. However, if you are recording from a turntable direct unless it has a built in RIAA preamplifier you need an RIAA preamp to recapture the fidelity of recordings. Most turntables do not have the RIAA preamp built in.

Along with the Stereo Mix level, the level of the individual device (mic or Line in) must also be set. If that is set too high it could be causing the distortion.

I had posted a question a while back about setting up a network and with the answers from "Tech Guy"did get a system working just fine. My Desktop is a Dell Dimension 8400 with XP Media center OS and the laptop is a Toshiba Satellite with Windows Vista Premium. I have two external drives the one I use primarily in storing my present personal active files including a file that stores recording media which the desktop Media Center gets from the TV cable connection. Then this file is also available via the network to the laptop. With the external drive all my other stored files from the desktop are also available on my laptop. Lately I have had several movie downloads and several repeats of the series "Jag"which play on the desktop but will not play on the laptop with various excuses for them not playing like "Cannot play this format:" or " for one reason or another "not authorized to play". I would think the recordings between the two Media Centers would be identical unless Microsoft has changed that too with Vista. I am very unhappy with Vista.

I have problem with my creative audigy4 sound card,
i use FL studio 9 and pianissimo piano software, or any other it does not mether,
and midi evolution keyboard, and when i try to record my self, playing live, with microphone on and these plugins, the recorded sound is cracling, like interaptable, im using sony soundforge10 for live recordings.
this worked on xp, now i use win7 64bit ultimate,
intel core2quad q9550, 4gb ddr3 ram on 1600ghz,.....i think its not an comp. issue.
Did anyone had the same or similar problem????

A:Creative audigy 4 crackling recorded sound HELP :((

First thing, do you have the Win 7 drivers for this old SB sound card? If you only have Windows installed drivers, go to the Creative site and download the actual Creative drivers HERE

After you get the Creative drivers (if you don't have them), try recording the mic to the Windows sound recorder and see if you get the crackling there. If not, that would say the sound card is OK and the problem is probably in the setup for FL Studio. I use Sonar X1 so I can't say what FL studio actually needs.

After 6 good months where everything worked just fine, I have now lost the sound on Live TV in windows media center, and there is no sound when I playback recorded TV in Media Center.

In addition I have the following observations:

No "introduction sound" - when media center starts.
No sound when I try "Configuration of speakers" in Media Center
Sound works fine when playing music
Sound works fine when playing the recorded TV programs in Media player - in other words, the files are intacts - it is just Media Center that does not work

Based on the above I assume taht I have problems with my CODECS. Problem is - I have no clue how to fix it!

Where do I go from here?

First step un-install every codec pack yu have added. Check and see if problem goes away. If it does just add the absolute minimum number of codecs (not packs) that you need to get all type of media working. Or you could use a player htat will play them without additional codecs likE VLC

Hi Everybody

This is my first post on this forum, so please excuse if I don't get it all right in terms of etiquette and code of conduct - I will try my best though!

I have this about 18 months old PC - i7, 920 with 6 Gb memory and a set of el cheapo speakers. Don't remember the motherboard details - shall post when I get home tonight. I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit O/S on it.

When I try and play any CD/DVD/music or video stored on this or any other PC on my home network - all work fine with sound coming from the external speakers - so far so good!

I recently bought a Kaiser Bass HD TV tuner - works ok! Recorded a short TV clip. It seemingly recorded ok because whilst I was recording it, I heard the sound coming from my external speakers. However, when I tried to play it back on this computer using Media Player, Media Centre, Winamp etc., there was no audio at all - what happened? Can anyone help?

I had previously downloaded the freeware 'FreeCoder' (I think its called) to record audio from soundcard (apparently) - I have uninstalled it now. Again, the same problem occurs, that is, when I am recording it, audio seems to be ok but when I playback the recording, there is no playback?

Any help would be highly valued.

Best regards

Deepak Agarwal

A:No sound on recordings' playback - clip recorded on this PC!

If I understand you correctly, you cannot record what you are listening to?

Regardless of exact source and regardless of recording program?

Or do you think you ARE recording, but the recording cannot be heard when played back?

It's unlikely related to your choice of recorder.

Go to your sound control panel. Look at the recording tab. Do you see a choice for stereo mix, stereo mixer, or "what you hear"?? If not, right click in a blank white spot within that recording tab and confirm that "enable disconnected devices" and "enable disabled devices" are both checked.

Do you then see stereo mix, stereo mixer, or what you hear? If so enable them so they have a green check mark.

Then try recording again.
