I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Dolby Atmos not work on P52

I found that if you go to applications, there should be a Dolby Atmos application which allows you to do it. If you do it from the menu offering spatial sound, it refers you to the store to buy it.

I had to reinstall Windows due to a few OS corruption issues. But, the Dolby Atmos app is missing now with the different modes. I uninstalled the audio driver, and reinstalled the audio driver from Lenovo's website, but it is still missing. It looked like an UWP app, so I searched for it on the Windows Store, but it was not present there as well. Does anyone have a download link to the Dolby Atmos app, preferably from Lenovo or Microsoft, so that I may use it to resotre the app to my machine?

Been having some trouble with Dolby Atmos sometimes not loading at all and requiring a restart so I tried to reinstall it, just to find out that the Windows store only has the option to download Dolby Access then give me the option to pay $15 for Atmos. I've tried using Lenovo Vantage to reinstall it but I couldn't find any options to do so and checking for updates didn't work. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

So the Yoga 920 has Dolby Atmos integrated, but I've read everywhere that is meant to be used with headphones and my laptop uses the Dolby Atmos with its own JBL speakers, it makes a big difference but I don't know if this is normal and I've noticed a tiny clicking noise when adjusting the volume on youtube and also in some other videos when a certain frequency is reproduced.I don't know if its normal for the Yoga 920 to use Dolby Atmos for the speakers or something went wrong and it damaged the computer, the clicking noise comes from the earphones too so the JBL speakers can't be the problem. In fact, I just noticed that there no difference in sound when Dolby Atmos is activated or deactivated when using the headphones, maybe the software got "confused" and think the speakers use Dolby and not the headphones. I need a Yoga 920 owner to please listen to the intro of this youtube video and tell me if there's a clicking noise in those first 3 seconds to see if its normal or my audio is distorted.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVbH8tsxxyM&t=54s Thanks.

On my old Y700 (2015?) I had the atmos drivers too, but there was a little icon down in the taskbar I could click to quickly switch profiles or right click to turn atmos off. On my Yoga 920 I have to open vantage, wait a few seconds for it to load, navigate into hardware settings, wait for everything to load so I can scroll down to the atmos section and switch profiles or disable it temporarily. Is there any faster way of doing this?

Good day my fellow Yoga 720 buddies.... I just bought a Dolby Atmos speaker (was like $1,000!) for my house. I love it BUT I can only use it with XBOX One, which kinda sucks. I wish I had more content to use with it. Playing games and hearing that Atmos sound is incredible though!! Recently Netflix just updated the app for XBOX One and now has 2 or 3 shows (Okja!) that use the Dolby Atmos sound so that was my first experience using it for video entertainment. How do you use the Dolby Atmos with the Yoga 720? I would assume that the default speakers in the laptop does not work with Dolby Atmos.... So it comes down to this, how would I play the audio on my speaker? I am guessing I would have to do it via HDMI. The only way to do it via HDMI is via an USB C adapter. Does that work? What about the Dolby Atmos headphones? Can I use with existing headphones or do I need special ones? I saw a Dolby Access app that was trying to sell me Dolby Atmos for headphones for like $15. Furthermore, what content is available for Dolby Atmos besides games on a PC? Give me all the details you can please! Thanks,David

Greetings, I was perceiving crackling audio through my headphones which was distracting me from enjoying the audio. I tried reinstalling the "Realtek Audio Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga 730-13IKB, Yoga 730-15IKB 6.0.1.8644 10 Jun 2019" from its support page in order to resolve the issue. At first, installation was unsuccessful due to the installer being stuck in a loop trying to uninstall the previous drivers. I manually uninstalled the driver "Realtek High Definition Audio" under "Sound, video and game controllers" in the device manager. I checked the checkbox "Delete the driver software for this device." in order to avoid the looping issue from the installer. Installation of the driver successfully completed. Frustratingly, in trying to resolve a problem another has arisen. The Dolby Atmos application was missing, a feature from the YOGA notebook I already dearly miss. I tried searching on the support downloads page, but no Dolby Atmos software is available to download. What are my options to resolve this issue? Edit: I uninstalled the driver again as previously without reinstalling and promptly restarted the computer. It seems the driver Windows intalled after restarting restored the Dolby Atmos app.

Well, yeah, I like to know how Dolby Digital in games works. What does it mean?
I know how EAX works- it simply creates different sound effects according to the surrounding.
Okay. But what does Dolby Digital do?
I thought Dolby Digital in games is somewhat impossible, because unlike EAX, it can't be
created dynamically, but must be readily mixed. However, in games where situations are never
the same, you can't mix the sound in advance, it must be created dynamically, according to the
situation and environment. But according to Dolby, they seem to have developed a new
technique to make Dolby Digital possible in games.

Well, what's the story now with Dolby Digital in (newer) games, like Prince of Persia or Army
Ops, what are the advantages?

When I changed my SB Live! 5.1 Platinum against my new nForce 2 onboard sound, I could
only hear that the sound in, for example, Army Ops sounds a bit "smoother" than before. But I
had 5.1 sound with my Live! before as well. And of course the whole sound sounds a lot better
then before (with my Live!), so I can't really tell what's the difference now.

And maybe the answer to my DD question will already answer the following question: when playing games in Dolby Digital (PoP, Army Ops), does it make sense to deactivate EAX?

A:How does Dolby Digital work in games?

Dolby Digital "in" games is just a marketing ploy. Absolutely no games feature any audio encoded in that format.

If you want Dolby Digital encoded content in games then you need to be using a nForce/nForce 2 motherboard which supports that feature - that can then encode audio into that format in real-time - which basically means that instead of needing to use 3 (analog) line-outs you can instead use 1 S/PDIF cable to connect to a Dolby Digital decoder instead.
The nForce motherboards that include this feature can do this with all audio (though obviously it's not needed if you're playing something thats encoded in that format, i.e. most DVDs).

EAX has nothing to do with this at all & if you want environmental effects in your games then you'll want to enable it (Some games tie 3D audio to this as well, so if you want that as well then be sure its on).

The "advantages" to this encoding are that you'll only need to use 1 cable instead of 3 & your receiver may well feature better DACs than the nForce (likely). On the downside dolby digital is a lossy audio format.

I have a Sound max 1980 integrated sound card. I can get true dolby digital and DTS in my dvds!!! YAY! But when it comes to games EAX sounds like crapp and no surround capabilities, the center channel works. Now whats the deal with EAX?? Is that the same as Dolby Digital or is it a knock off? My external reciever is a Aiwa 5.1 and is using the spdif/coax input. The sound card had a Spdif output. And yes,,i know what ur going to ask, I have the 5.1 surround option selected in sound settings. The digital icon shows when im playing a dvd,,but for games, it registers as analog. I though the sound card was digital or are todays game really not putting out a digital eax/dolby 5.1 output?

A:eax or dolby digital omg.....they dont work in my games

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure you will have to have an nVidia motherboard incorporating SoundStorm audio, in order to get 5.1 digital sound from games. Also, please be aware that not all games use digital 5.1 sound, only some of the newer games, such as Unreal II. But you should have no trouble with DVD's getting 5.1, as you said.

As far as EAX, it is not digital 5.1. And if you use it in games that are not encoded for EAX, in my opinion, it does not sound to great at all. But a lot of games ARE encoded with EAX and it adds a lot to the gameing experience if not used in excess. I suggest you go to EAXgaming, and read about it. That page will explain EAX and give you some tests to try out, that will show you the different effects and what they do. Also, it will give you a list of EAX games.

I can't hear a proper dolby surround with my headphones. I think the reason for this is that the dolby settings of my Asus Xonar Essence STX sound card and Windows 7 are not "synchronized". I just watched a Gears Of War 2 walkthrough video, and weapon fire, explosions and talking, that came from the sides, back or far away, were very low or not audible at all.

OS: Windows 7 32-bit

How can I set this correctly?

TIA

A:Dolby surround of my sound card doesn't work properly

Well; you should be able to hopefully adjust that in the audio properties/settings by right clicking the speaker icon and selecting the sound card and if it is surround like you say; then there should be settings somewhere in there to adjust that. Also, if your sound card came with software like mine did; you might be able to adjust the settings using that as well. I cant say for certain 100% what settings etc. because i dont have the same sound card as you do. Hope this helps ya some. If not, post back and we can go from there.

The Conexant Smart Audio item will re-appear.Right-Click on it and choose update driver.Navigate to d:\drivers\audio.When that's done, close Device Manager.Open File Manager and navigate to D:\drivers\Audio\DolbyGUI and install Dolby Digital plus Advanced Audio.
That should get rid of the error message and this version of Dolby Digital plus Advanced Audio should be working as expected.

Do post us back if the issue persists.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Would anyone have a "help" file for the Dolby Digial Plus software? I would be greatly interested in the specs for the graphic equalizer, the frequency bandwiths,.... I have hearing issues and would like to be able to communicate to my hearing professionals what I observe when manipulating the levels! Thanks!!!!

Hello, I'm using Lenovo Z50-70 with Windows 10 and since the new audio driver, Dolby Home Theater v4 had been replaced with Dolby Digital Plus. I honestly don't like the sound of Dolby Digital Plus and I would like to replace it with the older version for the quality of sound. On the Lenovo site doesn't provide old driver versions and I was looking, but I did not find one.I would be grateful if someone helps me.

The best option is to revert to an earlier date using system restore. This is what i found, different model, but it may workhttp://support.lenovo.com/gr/el/downloads/ds027444

I had upgraded my Y500 from Windows 8.1 to 10. Before, I had One Key Theater installed and it worked perfectly fine. I didn't have the Dobly Home Theater app. The Windows 10 Creator's Update came to my laptop and I upgraded last week Wednesday. On Friday, my laptop wouldn't boot up, not sure if this is related to the Creators update. I couldn't perform Start-up Repair, System Recovery nor a PC Refresh. I ended up having to reinstall Windows 10 from a recovery drive I created a while back. My laptop is now recovered except for the tedious part of reinstalling all my apps. I've been trying to reinstall One Key Theater and I keep getting an error message saying that this application does not work for this version of Windows. Furthermore, I noticed the Dolby Home Theater application but it does not work. The icon appears in the notification area of the task bar but whenever I try to open the application fully, it crashes.I've seen posts about these very same problem for Dolby Home Theater and they all recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver and also reinstalling Dolby Home Theater which I've done a couple times now but this still does not work. Will Lenovo be releasing a version of One Key Theater that works for Windows 10 Creators Update? Will a fix come out for this problem with Dolby Home Theater?Has anyone found a solution?

my Denon receiver AVRX2200W, and Samsung UBD-8500 blu ray, had been getting along fine... both set at "auto" so when choosing Audio from a disc , the receiver automatically accepted , and the movie played in the Atmos format ...now, though all the auto settings are the same...
when I choose "Atmos" all I get is True HD-TV ?!? Amos is not even offered as a choice , when scrolling thru the Denon's choices... and thus far no one can tell me why, or what needs to be done to get it back to where it was ?!?! help
