Q: Bluetooth speaker - JBL Flip . Bluetooth discovers it but ...

The speaker is recognized as JBL Flip and says ready to pair. I click on it and click on pair. It fails and disappears. The bluetooth continues to search and finds it again... and I get the same results. It works when directly plugged into speaker jack.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi, I have a Windows 7 64 bit desktop running on a P8Z77V-Deluxe Motherboard with a Native Broadcom Bluetooth adapter. I'd never tried to use Bluetooth on this pc before, and am trying to do so now. I've tried the latest drivers from the Asus site (and am running the latest Bios), and the latest drivers from the Broadcom site. Bluetooth devices are installed in Device Manager and all versions that say Bluetooth (including hidden devices) are happy. I see the Bluetooth Icon in the notifications area, and I can turn the adapter on or off. When I say to add a Bluetooth device, though, it never finds anything. I've tried phone, headset, and others devices that I know will pair. If I go to Bluetooth settings, under Discovery it has "allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer" checked, and also "allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" checked. There's nothing listed under the "Com Ports" tab. So, in short, everything looks good, except it won't connect.

I have searched for other posts that had this problem, but never have seen a good answer that feels relevant.

Please help, thanks..

A:Bluetooth Add Device - Never Discovers Anything

- Is your Bluetooth enabled in the BIOS? In the Advanced Tab in BIOS this should be located in the <Onboard Devices Configuration> go to <Bluetooth Controller> and select ENABLE.
- Did you install BT4 driver before installing the WI-FI GO! software? <--- I Read this in your User Guide.

So, got a weird one. Turned on wi-fi autoswitch in the BIOS. Noted that when booted with the Ethernet cable attached, both wi-fi and Bluetooth would be turned off. Odd, but could live with it; could turn the Bluetooth back on again. Now, got a bigger problem. When the wi-fi is on, HP Connection Manager reports wi-fi is on, but Bluetooth is "Disabled by wireless button." When I hit the wireless button - wi-fi becomes disabled by the wireless button, and Bluetooth powers up! Hit the wireless button again, and they flip-flop.I can't get both to turn on at the same time!Over the past couple of days I have disabled LAN/WAN switching; disabled and/or removed (and reinstalled) the bluetooth and wi-fi drivers; repaired the HP Connection Manager installation; and rebooted numerous times. It's stuck in this one on/one off mode.Back when I was in the Navy, there was this A6 airplane on my aircraft carrier with a busted hydraulic controller at one of the wing roots. One of the techies made an attempt to fix this complicated beast, got it all together, and reinstalled it. So, here's the airplane up on jacks with a portable hydraulic pressurizer running, loudly, next to the plane. They hit the unfold wings; one wing comes down, the other stays up. The techile looks upset. Hit the Fold Wings button - and one wing goes up, the other goes down. Everybody falls over laughing while the techie goes, "Oh, yeah, must have frogged that control part...". I feel like that crowd. The wireless button is ... Read more

A:Bluetooth speaker

In order to answer your question, could you please provide information on which Bluetooth speaker you have tried to pair? It does not only depend on your computer and its OS, even though it works on your iPhone, it's also a matter of how good Bluetooth speaker you have and how it interacts with your computer.

Hi all,

I've just added an iHome iHC5 as a bluetooth device on my computer. The drivers installed successfully and I can see this device under "Devices and Printers" in the Control Panel (possibly relevant note: It is listed as a headset for unknown reasons). I cannot select the iHome to be my default speakers when I try to "Manage Audio Devices" in the Control Panel because it is not available. I also do not see this device in Device Manager. Under Bluetooth Radios in Device Manager, what I do see is the following:

Dell Wireless 355 Module with Bluetooth 2.0 and
Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator

When I go into Bluetooth Setting and attempt to "Connect" to the iHC5, it's there, but I am given an error message: "The parameter is incorrect."

With that, I'm all out of ideas. I'm just really hoping I don't have to uninstall and re-download the Bluetooth driver from the Dell website and remove and re-add the Bluetooth speakers because that's a nuisance. I've got a Dell XPS M1530 running Windows 7 64 bit.

Any thoughts? All ideas appreciated!

Oh and to add, I connected these speakers to my phone in like two seconds, so I know they work. I hope it's something simple that I'm missing on the computer....

I am trying to set volume (or mute/unmute) for a wireless Bluetooth speaker in an executable file that I could set as a scheduled task so that my wireless speaker will be silent until such time as the task is run. I have a stock market analyzer running at all times but I only want to hear alerts after 4am, so I really only want my wireless speaker to have volume after 4 am. Now I’m no tech guy so let me explain what I have tried so far and maybe someone could suggest something else to try.

I have tried using executable mixer or volume programs such as Mute, Wizmo, NirCmd, QuickMix, eeePC Wave Control App, etc. Then setting them to run via Scheduled Task. This works fine for the mixers relating to all of my other sound cards but will not work on the Bluetooth mixer.

The mixer associated with the wireless speaker only changes the volume in the “Wave” fader. The “Speaker” volume or “Mute all” have no effect on the wireless speaker. And conversely all of the above executable volume programs only have access to the “Speaker” channel. (they can access other channels for other soundcard mixers but not the Wireless mixer)

Now this is pure speculation on my part, but I think the fact that the wireless speaker itself has a wireless volume control is what blocks other programs from having access to the “Wave” channel. The speaker has a USB dongle that connects it to the comp... Read more

Hi all,

I have a bluetooth audio transmitter which plugs in to a 3.5mm headphone jack of any audio device and is designed to transmit the sound to bluetooth headsets/speakers. I can get it to pair and connect automatically to my bluetooth headset and also an in-car bluetooth speaker (motorola t505) without any problem. However, I would like to be able to stream the audio from this device into my PC. However, I cannot get this device to be recognised when I try and pair/connect it to my PC. I am using a usb bluetooth dongle in my computer (no built in bluetooth) which uses the IVT Bluesoleil software/drivers.

Should it possible to use such a device in this way and if so, is it perhaps some sort of driver issue?

p.s I have also tried with a win 8.1 tablet and also an android tablet (both with built -in bluetooth) and cannot get it to be recognised by those either.

Many Thanks

How do I know if I have A2DP?

Do Bluetooth speakers provide the required drivers?

Do I actually need A2DP?

Hi all, today I received my JBL Charge 2+ portable speakers which work fantastically out of the box with my Samsung S5 Mini. Unfortunately, that is not the case with my Lenovo Y50-70 running Windows 10 I can connect to the speakers but the sound stutters. Sometimes the sound is good but then it will start to stutter only minutes later again. I have installed the latest BIOS update and Bluetooth drivers. Also I checked that its not a microwave / smartphone / Wi-Fi device that causes signal interference. The speaker lies next to the laptop. I tried to run Bennett to check the Bluetooth signal strength but that does not work (signal strength: n/a). Any idea what causes the stuttering? Do you think its a hardware or software problem on my laptop? Or are the devices incompatible? (I didn't expect any incompatibilities as my Y50-70's built-in speakers are from JBL, too) Thanks in advance!

Sometimes a box will pop up with a series of numbers in it asking me to verify the numbers. The speaker has no display of any kind so there is no place to verify the number on the speaker so I just click accept on the box. After several seconds I get any authentication failed error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a brand new HP 17t laptop, that was customized back in Septmber 2014. I needed bluetooth, so i got that installed. My issue is, every bluetooth speaker I pair to my laptop it plays music but every few seconds or so it "skips" during playback. Turning off the bluetooth speaker, the built in speaker on my laptop (Beats Audio) plays great, no skipping. I thought maybe it was my internet, so i turned off wireless internet and just played a CD in my optical drive in my laptop, and the audio came through the built in speaker great, turned on bluetooth speaker, it skips again, without internet. Microsoft Bluetooth Enmerator and 2. Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 Bluetooth 4.0 adapter. The drivers says there up to date on both, so i thought maybe it was my HD audio from Realtek, but those are up to date, and the audio works fine once it isn't playing through bluetooth. I thought maybe location, the speaker skips no matter if it... Hi @sreamer17ydr, Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you are having issues with your Bluetooth speakers in terms of reliability. My first question to you is why do you want to use Bluetooth if you want reliable sound? Bluetooth like most wireless technologies can be affected by interference. Bluetooth also tends to function better with a clear line of site. the adaptor in your notebook supports a higher data transfer rate , but if the receiver is at a different Bluetooth level, you are possibly going to see some problems. As a start you can look at this.Understanding Bluetooth Wireless Technology Bluetooth is very useful but has its limitations. hi there,

my USB external speaker and USB bluetooth adapter (for my plantronics headset) is not working. I believe this had to do me removing a critical program (from add/remove programs) about half a year ago - i can no longer do a system recovery to retrieve the program. I'm currently operating on windows 7x64-bit. all drivers are up to date and working. the usb drives work fine - i've tried testing each slot by connecting my external mouse and all seems functional. it's only when i plug in the external speaker or usb bluetooth adapter that things go wrong - see screen shots below. my internal speaker and internal mic work perfectly fine. it appears to be only an issue with usb audio-related devices. these devices work with other systems and computers, so i know that it is not the device itself. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling conexant audio, but that did not work. i've gone into the device manager and all looks ok there. i've disabled and renabled, updated all drivers, and still nothing....any help would be much appreciated.

Laptop: Lenovo T410s

thanks so much for any help or guidance you can provide.

A:USB Speaker & USB Bluetooth Adapter Not Working

Connect the devices, one at a time. Then go to the Device Manager and display the USB section. There will probably be an Unknown device shown. If there is, RIGHT click on the entry to highlight it and then LEFT click "Uninstall" (do not uninstall any drivers). Disconnect the device from the PC after the Uninstall. Then do the same thing for the other USB device. Restart the PC and then connect one of the devices and Windows should detect it as "new hardware" and install it. If not, run sfc /scannow (run it 3 times) and see if it finds any problem from whatever you may have deleted.

"Alert me when a new Bluetooth device wants to connect"
"Show the Bluetooth icon in the notification area"

I went into Bluetooth settings to see if the Generic Bluetooth Adapter or the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator needed updating. Windows says they don't need updating.

Hi! I use a pretty neat Lenovo T460 computer and also recently got a House of Marley Chant Mini speaker. The speaker is detected by my computer, however it cannot be installed as "Device status: The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)". When I look for drivers I get a message "Windows could not find driver software for your device". Can anyone help please? The speaker works fine with my phone, so it does work overall, it just refuses to cooperate with my computer! If you know what can I do to fix it, please let me know, thanks PS: The speaker manufacturer says no drivers are required for this device to operate, if that helps.
